UPDATE – Response to the Owner:

I was in Europe until July 5 and had an eye exam done there. The results were essentially the same as the prescription your office gave me two years ago when I purchased my last pairs of glasses and contact lenses.

At the time of purchase, I was told that the lenses had a two-year warranty. I understand that technically the warranty had expired, but it was only by about three months — and I explained that I had been out of the country.

In nearly 10 years as your customer, after spending thousands of dollars on more than 10 pairs of glasses, prescription sunglasses, computer glasses, and countless contact lenses, I have never once asked for a discount or made a warranty claim. I have always paid exactly what I was asked to pay.

The one time I asked for some consideration, and explained the reason for the short delay, I was simply turned down.

What disappointed me even more was the way I was treated. I was the only customer there, so there was no rush, yet the woman assisting me seemed impatient and unwilling to even take the time to consider my situation.

I didn’t even feel like explaining that, after all these years and thousands of dollars spent there, this was the first time I had ever asked for anything. By that point, it was clear to me that she had no interest in hearing it.

It’s a shame that nearly 10 years of loyalty ended this way.

I have been a loyal customer of Vision Source West Sahara for nearly 10 years. During that time, I have purchased well over 10 pairs of glasses, daily contact lenses, prescription sunglasses, computer glasses, and have paid privately for eye exams on several occasions. I have spent thousands of dollars with this practice over the years.

Until today, I always had a positive opinion of this office.

A couple of years ago, when I purchased my current glasses, I was told that if the lenses became scratched or damaged, they could help me. Recently, while traveling overseas, one of my lenses became scratched. Since I had just returned to Las Vegas, I stopped by expecting that, as a long-time customer, they would at least try to help.

Instead, I was immediately told that my warranty had expired about three months ago and that my only option was to replace both lenses for around $200.

What disappointed me wasn’t just the policy—it was the complete lack of flexibility or appreciation for a customer who has supported this business for nearly a decade. After years of loyalty, multiple purchases, and never asking for any special favors, I hoped someone would make even a small effort to help or offer a goodwill solution.

To make matters worse, after telling me there was nothing they could do, I was immediately asked to schedule my next eye exam. At that point, I simply couldn’t believe it.

Customer loyalty should mean something. Unfortunately, today I felt like just another transaction.

I’m not asking anyone to ignore company policy, but I do believe great businesses know when it’s worth taking care of a long-time customer.

Sadly, after almost 10 years, this experience has convinced me to take my business elsewhere.

I have been going to Vision Source since 2011 and I have referred all of my friends there as well. I love Dr. Mark Lee - I only see him once a year, but he remembers me and is always very personable. I'm in my 30's and my eyes are in decent shape, but I love the fact that they keep a history so that when things start changing/aging, they'll have many years worth of data and pictures to see where the changes are and how best to treat them. I kinda like my eyes - going in once a year is not too much to ask!
**follow-up 9 years later** I am still seeing Dr Lee, and he's still awesome! I wanted to add, though, that I'm also taking my four kids there so they have their own eye history/pictures for future reference as well. They've all told me that out of all their appointments (general doctor, dentist, any specialty referrals that come up): Vision Source is by far their favorite...

Completely disappointed in Samantha’s guest service. My husband has been a patient at this office since he was 13 years old and he is 30 years old now. We live about 30 minutes away from this location, but he’s made it a point to drive to the office to give them his business every year. I know that losing one patient doesn’t mean much in the grand scope of things, but it’s a shame to see how they treat people, especially when they are already having a tough day and their eyes hurt. My husband was having issues with his contact lenses, he has the monthlys and he decided to walk into the office today at 8 AM as soon as they open to get a refill because we were told that he could. Samantha was just completely monotone, unhelpful, rude and lacked empathy. Back in November, we went to another eye doctor to get his new prescription since we were nearby and it was a spontaneous walk-in. We never gave them any insurance information. He just paid cash for the visit..Therefore, they couldn’t have had our insurance information. This was the only doctor that he has been to because again he has been going to Vision source on Sahara since he was a teenager. At this morning‘s visit, Samantha told him that there was an authorization and they were unable to not only help him which was fine I understand… But she then refused to even set an appointment for him to come back after he got it sorted. She failed to explain what the authorization meant and just said it as if he worked in her business, but she did make it clear that all he had to do was reach out to the Doctor Who had the authorization and made it seem like it was an easy process, which is why I don’t understand why she would not set an appointment for him to come back like he asked her to. Mind you this whole time my husband is standing there in pain because his contact lens, his last ones at that were irritating his eyes. I wound up contacting the doctors office who supposedly had the authorization and they were completely confused and let me know that Savannah was giving us false information And that they could do nothing to help us because they never even had our insurance information because again we never gave it to them. I called to speak to Samantha multiple times and every time I asked for her, I was hung up on or left on hold. I finally spoke to a nice young lady who told me that it looks like the authorization was lifted.. Completely confusing because she is the only one who knew about the authorization, no one else had information on that but somehow after multiple calls because I’m upset and wanting to speak to her all of a sudden we’re OK to schedule an appointment and everything is good to go. I am posting this in hopes that she will be spoken to because when someone is having a bad day and in pain and they go to their doctor for help she needs to be empathetic or at least somewhat helpful and not completely dismissive.

My husband and I had our yearly checkup. We had made our appointments and were taken early. Thea, the young woman who did my testing was very pleasant and efficient. Dr Beckwith did not make
me wait at all either. He is always
pleasant, no nonsense and is very knowledgeable as well.

This is the best vision office I have visited. Friendly and professional staff. I like the various hi-tech eye exams that are provided. Dr. Nagel is very sincere and knowledgeable as she explains and shows me photos of the health and condition of my eyes. Ordering contacts is easy and fast with a 6 month reminder for a reorder. Thank you Dr. Nagel.

Wow! I can't say enough about how much I appreciate the friendly, thorough, efficient service I have always received from this group. From front desk to doctors. Dr. Lee is terrific, and the front desk and glasses selection crew are amazing. A great place to get excellent eye care and select from the top line of designer glasses. I look forward to going again next year for my annual check up.

Updated 4/9/26 - Office staff are always friendly and kind. Dr. Beckwith has been kind, patient and explanatory with my vision concerns. While I have taken my eyes for granted for many years, I now realize and appreciate their beauty so much more. The expert technology that helps monitor my vision, the exceptional doctors who understand the eyes here are charged with a task of helping to keep it. There simply is not a review that one can offer more than to say "they are amazing with eyes, for without the ability to see,a review would have an entirely different meaning".
