The Dr exam here made me genuinely stop wanting to go to the eye doctor. I got contacts for my first time. When I picked them up I realized my prescription wasn't accurate. I went in for the eye exam to be redone cause they offer a guarantee, so I thought it would be no big deal. When I showed up the doctor straight up told me that she wasn't redoing my exam. And suggested that the contacts I had was what was making it blurry. Offered a sample of ones I had to wait to come in. Conveniently after the sample arrived the time window for the guarantee was over. And the sample ones were no better.
I just wanted to be able to see without squinting cause I thought that was the whole point.

I was left sitting in an empty waiting room for 45 minutes past my scheduled appointment time without a single word of update or communication from staff. When the provider—who never even introduced themselves—finally came in, they were completely frazzled, disorganized, and dismissive of the delay. The lack of basic professionalism and operational competence here is alarming. I wouldn’t trust this team to manage a basic schedule, let alone my vision. I will not be returning.

Vision Eye Care is wonderful. I’ve been going there for a couple years now and every time I’ve gone the service was outstanding in wonderful. The staff takes good care of you. They put you first while helping you out. Getting your glasses they handle everything. It isn’t a wonderful environment. The management is great and a staff is also great. I had a wonderful experience with Nicole. She helped me get my two pairs of glasses and helped me all the way through. Now I’m just waiting for them to come in. I would recommend everybody to try vision the discounts are wonderful. The store is nice and clean and they take gray area.

I am a mother of 4 kids and my youngest is special needs, from making the appointment, getting paperwork done and doing the exams vision works made it simple and so easy to get this completed. I had actually been seen at this location for over 10 years. But recently I had a horrible experience. I scheduled an appointment. I remember when scheduled i had discussed they could not get me in the first week after my call the 9th because they did not have any appointments available and I would have to be seen on the 16th. Ok no problem. But then when I show up they said they did not have my scheduled it was supposed to be the 9th they could see me but I would have to wait 45 minutes and I was like OK. However then they proceed to give me papers to make me say yes or no to procedures and cost without giving me what options my insurance covers. Each option wanted me to say yes I wanted this done and the full cost was this much if I agreed yes or no. No option to bill insurance. When I asked the front desk personnel they said I had to put yes and they dont know if my insurance would cover. Why would I agree to pay 100% if I have insurance. The girls both tell me if I want to be seen i have to agree because the insurance only covers if it is medically nessasary. Well how do we know what we need if we dont first see a Dr to determine what us medically nessassary? The last eye exam i went to they pulled us in a room. Saud we will start with this your insurance covers this much you would pay this then you sign and agree to what your insurance will not cover if you agree. Why would anyone with insurance agree to pay 100%? She said because I have to. I said no I do not have to and I won't. She said then I can't be seen. I was like this is so unprofessional and no one should be signing this. It sets them up to being fully responsible and not the Insurance. I left i called my insurance to ensure they did not try to charge my insurance, however not only did they try and charge for me but each person on my insurance. That would have left my son and my husband without being able to be seen later. I will never return and I will be putting in a complaint with every office needed to ensure no one ever goes through this again.

I recently switched over to VisionWorks after years of going to a different practice. My daughter had a very positive experience back in February, and I figured I would try getting my contacts and glasses there. From beginning to end, I had the most positive time…the front desk gals were easy to talk to and explained all the financial options to me regarding exams and what my insurance covered; Pedro was super friendly and made the process into transitioning to the doctor really easy. Doc gave me a very thorough exam and explained the options I had with my level of vision. And to round it off, Randy was such a blast to work with in shopping for eyeglasses (I also felt that he was nonjudgmental about my financial situation, so it was easier to make a decision without feeling pressured); he works with so much joy and patience. I’m grateful that im a patient here now!

We visited both sides of the clinic and received excellent service. First, the doctor was kind enough to find the cause of my eye discomfort, which I greatly appreciate. But the best part was when we went to the optical section. The young man at the counter was wonderful, but especially the young woman who helped my husband and me to choose our glasses, ASHLEY C.
She was spectacular. She exceeded all expectations in kindness and professionalism; she was a truly delightful person. She even helped us with benefits we weren't aware of and that no one had explained to us beforehand.

The customer service from everyone I encountered was stellar. The front desk lady on the left got me in on a walk-in basis when I explained that my insurance was ending and was extremely pleasant. The young man who tested my eye pressure accommodated my germaphobic requests had such a calming demeanor as well. The Dr. was very thorough and patient and even provided a visual aide to help me further understand what I was looking at on the screen. Started over the doctor side it was a busy office, but everyone was so polite and Dr was cordial and though he was busy, I didn’t feel rushed. He walked me over to the Visionworks side. They were just as busy but they were attentive to me. The frame selection was nice. Randy, walked me through the process and helped me find a frame that looked good and was in my budget. I would have given 5 stars because she is a good Dr., however, I had to find out that she moved and taken all patients records with her via a phone call while trying to schedule an emergency appointment. They claimed a notice was sent (which I never received) stating that the Dr. was moving to this location. Then I was told that I had to drive to the new location or fill out a form and pay to have my prescription mailed via snail mail to me due to HIPPA laws but it can’t be emailed due to the same HIPPA laws. I’m trying to understand how that differs and why the other location says it CAN be emailed. So, 2 stars is all I’m willing to give.

First, the price was great! Seemed like they had options for different price ranges, plus they have promotions which are nice.

But the customer service is why I am leaving a review. Everyone was kind and helpful. I was a bit overwhelmed with all the options, I told them what I liked, and they narrowed my vision by bringing me things they thought I’d like. I ended up leaving buying two pairs. The second pair I was planning on getting cheap frames just so I had a backup but as I said they had great promotions, Randy told me how I could get frames that cost twice the price for less. After the transaction, Randy continued to help me by replacing the nose pads and adjusting the frame of my current glasses. Great experience all around during my visit today.

I also had an eye exam, the people in the doctor office side were all great too and the appointment went smoothly, without delay.

I went in wanting a new pair of glasses and supply of contacts because Visionworks offers a discount if you order both at the same time. Instead, only the glasses were ordered after I said more than once I wanted glasses and contacts. So now I need to pay for my contacts completely out of pocket, all because people weren’t listening.

I had came from lens crafters super upset they were trying to lock me in with them saying now I have to buy since they checked my insurance, making me pay like 600 for one pair of glasses ! I was on my way out of the mall, I saw visionworks and Laura was just so sweet and I explained what had happened and she was able To check told me nothing was locked and quickly helped me set up and handed me a tray to start picking my new glasses! Akeena helped me pick out my glasses super sweet and helpful! Kus I know how frustrating it can be picking out new glasses she was straight up honest and easy going! Then even when it came down to paying Affirm was giving me trouble and Akeena was so patient, in the end got it to work and I just left the happiest! I still can't believe that I payed 600 for TWO PAIRS ! Like I'm so shocked! I got my prescription sunglasses which I've always wanted! What a deal! I got my eye exam done on 3/19/25 and I’m STILL waiting on just a trial pair of contact lenses to try on so they can actually order my script. Today is 4/20/25. I’ve waited one month for a singular pair of contacts just to try on (to be specific my script is high and they didn’t have my trial pair in stock at the store so they had to be ordered and I was told wait 2-3 weeks. It’s literally been a month and still no one has called to tell me the trials are here and when I call myself they’re still not in stock so I can’t even imagine how long my actual prescription is going to take to get here. I wanted to order my monthly supply of contacts as soon as my exam was over but I was told I HAVE to try on a trial pair before they order to make sure it’s the right script for me) No where else I’ve been to takes a month to get you what you need. I haven’t even gotten to order my PERSCRIBED LENSES so whenever I do finally get my trial pair I’ll still be waiting on those SO I HAVE TO HOPE AND PRAY NOTHING HAPPENS TO THE TRIAL PAIR WHILE I’m waiting for my real pairs to come. Fast forward 2024, 5 years later came back for my eye exam and new glasses.
Had a very stressful appointment! When I scheduled a 3pm appointment it's based around my life my schedule.
These folks had me in here waiting for over an hour before being seen.
Not Good at all.
10-15 minute wait no problem
20-30 minute wait getting anxious
30 -40 minute wait not cool 40 -60 minute wait OUTRAGEOUS!
Why do businesses think customer's time does not matter?
I am not happy with this visit.

Finally called back a hour and 15 minutes later.
You should schedule the patients appropriately so they don't have to wait so long. 🙄 DO BETTER!

I had an exceptional experience. This was my second time at Visionworks in the Meadows Mall and again they took great care of me. In fact, they let me know that I was overdue for my eye examination. I really appreciate that because as very busy pastor, I oftentimes forget about snd neglect my personal needs. I am especially pleased with the assistance I received in choosing my new eyeglass frames and Iens. The front desk is HORRIBLE they are not only rude but they refuse to try and help you. I broke my glasses and needed my prescription they claim even though they have records of my previous purchase WITH THE PRESCRIPTION USED FOR MY LENSES they are unable to give me that information unless I purchased my glasses from them. (The dr portion is closed so I'm unable to get it from them) I don't want to go back because my first experience was horrible as well. The lady who was fitting my glasses told me it was because my ear were crooked that's why my glasses didn't sit right on my face. I ended up having to go to eyeglass world to have them readjust them FOR FREE!!! This place has terrible customer which is exactly why I planned to go elsewhere

The first time I came here a year ago my experience was wonderful.
Coming back this time my experience was HORRIBLE.
My appointment felt very driver thru experience. Get me out as quick as they could.
Then I got called to come back to try contact brands. The person on the phone told me they didn’t make appointment for the weekend. Yet when i came to the weekend appointment everyone checking in was asked if they had an appointment and everyone said yes.
Since they told me they didn’t take appointments on the weekend i showed up early and WAITED FOREVER to see the doctor.
Which I never did. Fast forward to an hour later, no one saw me and when I asked them about it they said I was next. But when they tried to take me in they told me there were no rooms open. At this point I was over waiting. I left. To which after several minutes they called me and I told them I wouldn’t be back. And they made me come back and return the contacts I was trying.

I will NEVER COME BACK NOR WILL I REFER ANYONE TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT.

Update: Don’t waste your time trying to talk to any one in the office or emailing the customer service email I got in the “response by owner.” Not Visionworks or the office has tried to help.
I have paid for a prescription that is of no use to me.
Don’t waste your time or money here. Go any where else.

The doctor is great, but the front desk staff is incompetent and rude. I've been asking for my records for months now. I signed the HIPAA form/ release form multiple times, I called a few months back to make sure they received the form and front desk lady said yes and everything looks great. months later still nothing ... I called today another they're asking me to send my ID. This is crazy waiting months for your own prescription. Will never come back again.

Previous experience with Optometrist was at an other location.

Came for same Doctor because of their great exam last year.

Called ahead to verify my new insurance was taken.

Was told when making appt no changes to coverage and costs would be the same.

Upon arrival, very unpleasant and unprofessional staff informed me it would be $10 CoPay ($0 Copay last yr) and $45-$85 for Contact lenses exam ($0 CoPay).🙄😡

Traveled 30 mins for visit as this is not in my neighborhood and I loved the experience last yr with the Doctor.

Would enjoy being contacted back by professional management staff to explain the lack of professionalism and understanding that was not expressed when I visited.

I was very specific when making this appt. I am very unhappy with this waste of time and the very sarcastic "Have a good day" expressed to me by staff as I left very unhappy.

Went in for eye exam. Fluffy Spanish lady in there with red hair was mean for no reason.. I could go on about her but long story short she was simply unpleasant. And this review is no April fools joke. Intensify your patience if you plan on going in and she's there.. she wouldn't give her name. I almost took a picture of her to be sure she's identified but I didn't want to agitate at all..
