Dr. Wellish was always very cordial, but the doctor I had yesterday has the personality of a roofing tile! He was very rude and thought he could order me around! I've been a Type 1 Diabetic since 1962, and I'm 70 now! This doctor treated me like I was a child! And, as far as I'm concerned, I'll NEVER GO BACK TO SEE HIM AGAIN!!!!! Dr. Tran can bite me!

I'm jaded! In my years in Las Vegas I've been seen by several doctors - some "barely competent and some Exceptional! Today I was seen at Wellish-Abrams at Box Canyon by Dr. Kastagian. I feel he is Exceptional! I had researched him in advance. His experience-level was obvious. He explained my current situation "in comparison" to my past visits very well. I felt comfortable that his diagnosis was accurate with the symptoms I described. He didn't throw me any "curve balls". He recommended surgery. I didn't feel apprehensive. I felt he knew what he was telling me was coming from an experienced professional. I'll go back!

If you want a caring, concerned, compassionate ophthalmologist who works in an efficient, well run office, Dr. Jack Abrams at Wellish Abrahms Vision Institute is NOT for you.
I was contacted by the office ( I did not contact them) to make an appointment for my yearly eye exam, which I did. In the exam room, Dr. Abrams said my yearly exam was not until August ( this was March). With a very smug, cavalier attitude, Dr. Abrams said he could go with the exam but Medicare would not cover it.
I left and immediately contacted the office manager. Laura Cuevas, who affirmed that the office had made a mistake with my exam date and as such, the office should not have submitted an insurance claim. Ms. Cuevas said to give her some time to straighten it out. Eventually I received a bill from Wellish billing, which Ms. Cuevas said not to pay. When a second bill arrived, I was again told not to pay it. It has been over two weeks since our last
conversation regarding payment of the bill and Laura Cuevas has not returned any of my phone messages. It has been over two months since my unneeded exam.
Dr. Abrams and Wellish Abrams Vision Institute does not deserve payment for that office visit, in which he did absolutely nothing and was made under misinformation given to me by the office. In addition, an office manager who leaves patients hanging, paints a very poor image in representing the Wellish Abrams Vision Institute.
Wellish Abrams Vision Institute should stand up and admit its mistake and correct the bill. Dr. Abrams should cut out his disinterested attitude and say he was sorry for the inconvenience and mixup.

I recently went for an appointment at a local clinic, and I must say, the experience was quite disappointing. The waiting time was incredibly long, which was frustrating. Additionally, the office itself was noticeably dirty, with dust visible in every corner. It seemed as though the maintenance was lacking, which is quite concerning. I hope the management takes steps to improve the overall experience for their patients.

Sat in crowded waiting room for almost 90 minutes past my appointment time, then went in and got eye drops from nurse, and had to wait so long to see the actual doctor that they had to give me the same numbing drops again twice. Why not just give me the numbing drops when the doctor is actually ready to see me? Seems poorly run to give a patient the same eye drops twice because the doctors are not ready to see them yet.

This isn't a medical practice, it's a business. They bring you in by advertising a free LASIK consultation and next thing you know, they start upselling you on other services. I had a follow up with Dr. Welsh to go over my LASIK initial test results but they wanted to charge me a copay and bill my insurance stating that they needed to perform extra stuff?!! I just wanted to discuss my results. What a sham! Poor business model.

I was told a Man was walking with doubting disciples when they came upon a Blind man begging. The disciple proclaimed! I ask you my lord? This man has not sinned! Why is he blind? Almost joking to my lord he says. So my lord walked up, bent down, cupped his hand and placed clay dirt there and spat on the clay dirt and rubbed the clay dirt on the blind mans eye's and Asked him to GO WASH YOUR EYES CLEAN! And the Man stood up and hurried to wash his eye's! Seeing for the first time the man look around! He told his story and was it was doubted. JOHN 9. I can see for the first-time in 20 years. I recently visited Wellish Vision and had a great experience. The staff is friendly and professional. What I appreciate the most as a patient is seeing the office staff cleaning the equipment in front of me and using universal precautions such as wearing gloves when touching my face or getting near my eyes. They also use hand sanitizer when coming in and out of the patient rooms. These practices are something we should see more often in doctor's offices. Highly recommend!

I had cataract surgery 8 weeks ago. I paid $3000 to have that surgery done with Laser. When I arrived in the operating room I was told by Dr Hanna and his assistant Laser would not be used because it was not necessary. I have been trying since then to receive a refund with no success. I had cataract surgery August of 2022 and I truly wish I hadn't my eyes has gotten worse and I've gone back several times for them to correct this issue with my eyes and I'm subscribed the same eye drops that was given previously my surgeries were done at the box canyon location.
Oh but they make sure that they collect their $50 copay before I can sit down.
But no one can correct my vision I wouldn't refer my worst enemy here.

She had a possible eye infection and asked him about it and instead of answering her, he told her to βgo to medical school.β Belittled her and embarrassed her in front of the medical assistant and medical student. The medical assistant seemed embarrassed afterwards and even admitted βhe acts like that sometimes.β Horrible! Please do not come here. You will be belittled, especially if you are a Hispanic woman. Beware.
Edit: We got a second opinion an hour later with TWO ophthalmologists and turns out she didn't even have an infection. So not only was he rude, but incompetent! Stay away.

I established patient care with Dr. Eissa Hanna in August of 2022. As a result, I am delighted to write this Google review of Dr. Hanna of the Wellish Vision Institute in the Las Vegas Valley. Dr. Hanna has dissolved cataracts in both of my eyes. I expected that my vision would be somewhat better after the respective surgeries, however, I was not prepared for the superior results of my vision. Post-Op, I now have great vision for distance, intermediate and even close. This was totally unexpected for someone who wore glasses and contacts since my late twenties. In my humble opinion, Dr. Hanna is an exceptional surgeon and ophthalmologist. Also, he is a great and caring person. This is evidenced by the fact that when I had a question about a symptom I was experiencing after the second eye surgery, I contacted the answering service and asked to speak to Dr. Hanna. Within 5 minutes, Dr. Hanna returned my call and instructed me what to do and said he would call me the next morning, on a Saturday, to see how I was doing. The next morning. Dr. Hanna did indeed call me bright and early to see how I was doing and to make sure the symptoms had resolved. I informed him, I did as he instructed me, and I was fine by the time I went to bed on the preceding Friday night. When is the last time a doctor cared enough to follow-up with a phone call to your home, especially on the weekend? In my vast history with all types of physicians, including specialists, this was the first. I highly recommend Dr. Hanna to anyone who needs ophthalmology care and/or surgery. There is no one else I would personally entrust the care of my eyesight to. You simply cannot do better than Dr. Hanna. Finally, I also want to give a shout out to his assistants Lily and Robin. They also provide an elevated level of service to both Dr. Hanna and his patients!

The Wellish Vision Flamingo office handles the writing of prescriptions improperly.
On one of my visits I told the tech and the doctor that the medication prescribed made me feel like I was allergic to it. It wasnβt helping in any way.
Several months later I had to cancel an appointment due to the fact they were no longer going to be a preferred provider on my insurance and I would have to seek treatment elsewhere.
NOW more than a year later I receive a voicemail stating they had received my request for a refill of the medication which I told them I was ALLERGIC to. I NEVER requested the medication. WHY would I? I called the office and they told me not to worry, the order had been cancelled. Fast forward 6 days when I find a box in my mailbox; it contained the prescription.
1. Why would they prescribe something when I told them I felt I was allergic?
2. Why would they prescribe something for a person who was NOT a patient?
The medication was prescribed by a doctor I donβt know and who has never seen me.
I spent quite a bit of time on the phone with CVS/Caremark. I can return the medication, but, that will affect any future medication I may need to return. My insurance only allows one return in my lifetime. They did a bit of research and told me it was prescriber error.
I went to the Wellish Vision Flamingo office and explained the situation that I am responsible for the copay because of their error. I feel they should have written a check to the pharmacy to cover the copay. They refused. What they did, shows their incompetence.
I later found a new voicemail from Wellish Vision telling me I could return the medication. We already discussed that in the office. They obviously werenβt listening. The copay is low but that money is important to me these days. I shouldnβt have to pay for something I didnβt order or ask for.
Totally incompetent of Wellish Vision. Improper prescribing by a Doctor May.

Amazing service!!! Fast, friendly, and they go above and beyond to take care of their patients. I was in extreme discomfort when I went in with extreme irritation from a foreign body causing an eyeball abrasion, and was 100% when I walked out. I can't recommend them enough.

Dr. Andrew Tran is the BEST ophthalmologist in town! He was so patient with my mom and answered all of her questions. He made her feel very comfortable. I would highly recommend him for cataract surgery!

THEY WAIT TIME IS BEYOND INSANE! They have soooooo many people walking around but the wait time is extremely long, WAS THERE FOR 3 HOURS with an appointment. The staff is really friendly but SUPER SLOW LIKE DMV

Dr Tran did both my Cataracts surgeries & he is an Excellent Dr, I would recommend everyone who needs cataract surgery to let Dr Tran do you surgery. Dr Tran is kind has wonderful bedside mannerβs and very clean office and his office isGorgeous and immaculate and Dr Tran is the best at what he does I am so happy Pearl Vision Recommended me to the Wellish eye center I would never allow any other eye Dr touch my eyes π unless itβs Dr Tran. Dr Tran I want to Thank you and your wonderful staff for helping me thru all this I can actually see now and see all colors where before I was seeing just the color brown and sometimes I couldnβt see anything. Thank you ππ» so so much again for a wonderful Job well done. God Bless those wonderful hands π you have they are magical. Dr Tran is Simply The Best and all his patients at the surgery center said the same thing just how wonderful his was a kind person with wonderful bed side mannerβs and didnβt allow me to be in any pain now that is a Dr who cares how you are feeling during surgery. Thank you again for all you did to help me along with the nurseβs at Box Canyon surgery center and the nurseβs in your office my Experience was the best anyone could ask for.

The phone support is ridiculous. I have tried to call 3 times to make an appointment for my son who was referred for possible glaucoma issues. I called 1st time they were able to transfer me to someone to setup the appointment. She said she needed my sons Medicare # or he would have to pay $375 as a walk in? So I get ahold of him at work get the #. Call back 15 mins later go through the whole information process all over again. Told someone will call me back! Waited over an hour still no callback. Called again same thing having to give the whole info again! It is Friday now 440pm I do not expect a callback today & his only days off are Mondays & Tuesdays! Besides the fact it will automatically go to my voicemail because I have ATT call protect. Why have an answering service to just take names & phone #sβ¦I would think if your in the business to have appointments to make $$ then maybe you should hire more operators?

This review is for Dr. Matthew Chiapa. I saw Dr. Chiapa on August 17, 2022, for dry eyes. After Dr. Chiapa determined that my right eye was extremely dry and needed a second punctual plug (apart from the one that I already had in it), Dr. Chiapa had his medical assistant insert the plug into my eye. I left the office with pain in my right eye. Four days later I ended up in the hospital emergency room and was diagnosed with a retinal detachment in my right eye. Two days after visiting the emergency room, I had surgery for the retinal detachment in my right eye performed by a different doctor from a different medical practice, who fortunately saved the vision in my right eye. I have medical records that confirm all of this.

The doctors are great. However, the phone support is extremely unprofessional. I've waited now almost 2 weeks for an itemized receipt. I've called so many times only to be greeted by a rude employee when I'm just asking for an itemized receipt. I would go somewhere else however , wellish is closest to me.

Just finished my thirty day post op appointment with the Wellish Vision team. I had a five star experience - his staff is helpful and attentive, the surgery was easier than I expected and the post-op care could not have been better. Highly recommend.

I woke up yesterday morning and I bearly was able to open my eyes. I went to my eye doctor and he told me he was sending me to the specialist. They called and was able to get me in the same day. The staff and doctors there were awesome. This morning im able to see they helped me out so much yesterday.

I absolutely LOVE Dr. Wellish. He saved the eyesight in my left eye. It was a challenge. It was a screw-up from getting lasik surgery from another doctor. I donβt even wear glasses anymore at all. If I could change anything, though, it would be the extremely long wait time in the office. Although they do warn you in advance, it seems that they should be able to find a way to book so that you are not there waiting in that back waiting room for so long. Getting checked in and tested wasnβt so bad, but then the wait after that, to actually see Dr. Wellish, is SO LONG. He is worth the wait, however, and Iβd do it all over again if I had to, but spending 3 1/2 to 4 hours in a doctors office is exhausting. I guess thatβs just how it goes when everyone knows who the very best is and youβre dealing with something as important as your vision.
