Bad times at this jankey outfit on W. Horizon Ridge in Henderson. (Dr. Trainer and Staff). FIRSTLY, THEY DO NOT RESPOND TO ANY EMAIL ON THEIR WEB SITE. IVE SENT FIVE E's OVER 4 MONTHS.... NOTHING!!! SO YOU'RE FORCED TO CALL, AND SUPER-LONG, UNNECESSARY WAIT-TIMES EXCEEDING 25 MINUTES. (A bogus A.I. message board tells you you're at least 10th in the Queue, even on Thursday/Friday afternoon after 4pm. Obviously false/misleading). Scheduling problems from the get, 1st appt rescheduled by them, weeks after that I arrived 1hr early. Waited for 80 minutes, nobody followed up. Had to reschedule again. Finally saw Dr. Trainer. Was OK, ordered an MRI for lower lumbar, but entire staff knew I had a defib/pacemaker, and no imaging clinic will perform MRI with implant. Finally a CT scan at Desert Radiology (almost 4 months after 1st), but they needed a referral for a special CT scan (basically a Spinal Tap). Called this outfit immediately after DR denied the CT, 2wks ago, multiple messages with PA, still nothing. No simple referral to DR for this spinal tap/CT, no follow up. Completely left in the dark. Very unprofessional experience from the get. No quality control whatsoever. If given a choice, I would completely avoid Advantage Ortho/Sports Medicine, especially Henderson office. It's not even worthy of one star.

Love Tiffany Teppen! She is the best!
VERY difficult getting through to the office by phone. Always holding to even get through initially. Had shoulder surgery last October… Dr. Yee did a great job.

Tiffany is Amazing, she listens to your concerns and gives great feedback. Shes extremely informative, really empathetic with your situation, and offers advice as to what I could do to help me on my health Journey! After receiving a shot in my knee I’m officially pain free in that knee as of this morning and am so grateful. About a year of pain, one shot and gone. Also the front desk staff, and the person receiving me to the room all Awesome. They are kind, listen, and are super helpful. What a great team you have over there!

Advanced Orthopedics exemplifies everything that is wrong in healthcare today. I was dealing with a bad shoulder for nearly a year when I broke down and finally set up an appointment. There was over a month’s wait if I wanted to see one of their doctors, but thank my lucky stars, I could see a PA in just 3 weeks. Three days before my appointment, I slipped on an icy road and was magically able to do the full splits…something I didn’t think possible at 58 years old…sure there was a lot of searing pain and an inability to walk, but the beautiful purple color running down the back of my leg made up for all that, (grade 2 hamstring strain). Instead of going to quick care, I assumed I could have Advanced Ortho look at my hammy as well as my shoulder when I hobbled in 3 days later. After being required to plunk down $230.00 for a “copay”, I mentioned that in addition to the shoulder that generally made me want to pee my pants if I had to lift my hand above my head, I had hurt my leg and was hoping they could look at that too. I was told they only see “one part at a time”, I mentioned being willing to pay another copay if that was the issue, but was instructed to decide which problem was worse and I could set up another appointment for the other part in roughly 3 weeks if I was willing to see a PA. So, I made the decision to get the shoulder looked at since I was just becoming familiar with the delightful nuances of the hamstring strain and again, that purple was pretty majestic. So, the PA came in, asked a few questions about what my shoulder issue was, did a little slap and tickle with the arm, and set me up for an MRI. After waiting 2 weeks for a follow up from Advanced Ortho to discuss the results of the MRI, I reached out to Quest Diagnostics who had done the imaging to see if the report was done. Shockingly it was ready for review two days after I went in. Advanced Orthopedics, who had ordered the MRI, never followed up…still haven’t…perhaps that’s the “advanced” part, put the patient in the front seat and let them do the interpretation and tell the doctors what should be done. I’m willing to bet they would have been able to get me in to do the surgery a bit quicker if I was willing to let one of the PA’s grab a scalpel and get some on the job experience. Needless to say, I did not have Advanced take care of my shoulder, which had a full thickness tear of the supraspinatus and two tears in the labrum. I took my MRI to another Dr. that actually treated me as a human, not a part. I suppose I should be grateful that I was able to experience just how bad an orthopedic office can be at Advanced Orthopedics, so I could truly appreciate the amazing Dr. and staff that fixed my problems and has me back to enjoying the activities I enjoy pain free. Bottom line, if I had my arm pulled out of its socket by a silver back gorilla and Advanced Orthopedics was the only ortho office on the planet, I’d make an appointment with the nearest veterinarian clinic!
