Dr. Shazia Hamid and her staff are amazing, they’re always helpful every time me and my family needed her care. She treats us like her own family, attends to our health concerns specially with urgent situations, like what happened to my husband during a normal visit. (I was the one who had an appointment that day) My husband got like this syncope situation and Dr. Shazia did her best as a doctor and save my husband, I thought I was loosing him that day, she attended to him and ordered an ambulance right away to be transferred to a hospital. And their facility is always clean and kids friendly. I definitely recommend Dr. Shazia Hamid.

I came in today and was very sick with a cold. The front desk girl was rude, dismissive, never smiled at me once and honestly shouldn't work there. She made me put on a mask when nobody else in the waiting room had one on. I wasn't coughing or anything. Then she called me by the wrong name multiple times after I kindly corrected her. Its not a hard name, its Chelsea. Then as I walked from the back to the front she didn't say anything to me. I had to ask her if I was okay to go home. Then she rudely told me to wait in the lobby while she printed out 1 piece of paper, which took her longer than 5 minutes. She honestly should not be the person people get greeted by or have to see on their way out. She was AWFUL and is the reason I will never return.

This is probably the worst urgent care I’ve ever been to. The patient care subpar, extremely slow. I had to ask if the doctor was coming anytime soon because we’ve been waiting for at least an hour and a half. Only then did they tell us that the doctor was experiencing a family emergency. I understand that emergencies happen but the least you can do is inform the patients on what’s going on. When we finally did see the doctor, she also didn’t know why it took us about an hour and a half to be seen. The family emergency that the staff said she was in was just a call, per the doctor. To me, it’s insane that you could forget a patient is waiting for that amount of time and don’t have a clear reason as to why it took that long. The facility itself looks dirty and unkept. The front desk was a little rude. If you’re genuinely genuinely having some type of medical emergency, please look elsewhere.

DO NOT GO HERE. This place doesn’t even deserve the 1 star and Dr. Hamid is undeserving of her Doctor title. Dr. Hamid is extremely unprofessional and rude. Our first sign to leave should’ve been when she yelled at a nurse in front of us in the patient room. Very unprofessional to talk to your staff that way especially in front of a patient. Then she yelled at my boyfriend for being on a phone call when he was trying to find out if he’s gotten a tetanus shot before to see if he needed one now. She told him it’s not dirty even though he cut his finger on a license plate, ignoring his concern about tetanus. She then, very rudely, told me to take his phone from him and continued to berate him for being on his phone. And while she was doing that she injected him with a shot that was very painful. My boyfriend said she just jammed the needle in there which yes, it looked very rough the way she handled it. She also didn’t say what she was injecting into him before doing so. At no point did Dr. Hamid communicate what she was doing or what was needed to be done. My boyfriend then had to be the one to ask the nurse if he needed stitches and she said yes. At no point was anything communicated to us about what was happening and answers were only given when WE asked them. My boyfriend asked Dr. Hamid what she injected him with and pointed out how she didn’t tell him beforehand what it was and didn’t get his consent for it. Her response verbatim, “I asked if you were allergic to anything.” DOCTOR, you know you still have to tell your patient what you’re injecting them with before you do it right? We decided to leave right then and there before Dr. Hamid could do any more damage and told her exactly why. She didn’t let us leave right away and started talking to my boyfriend in a language we didn’t know - it was very weird. Their patient rooms are extremely small (they had to move the patient table at one point to open the door) and when I opened the door to leave Dr. Hamid who was standing near the door yelled out, “Don’t hit me!” Not only is she unprofessional and rude but a liar trying to accuse me of assaulting her when all I did was open a door. Extremely, extremely unprofessional and terrifying experience really. If this review doesn’t get deleted then Dr. Hamid or her staff will respond trying to make us the bad guys. I promise you, that is not the case. Do not go here if you care about your health whatsoever. The other urgent care we went to immediately after was way more professional and completely appalled at our experience here at Best (but what should be called Worst) Urgent Care. And guess what, they told us he doesn’t even need stitches. Dr. Hamid was trying to scam us and get an additional $300+ out of us on top of the $250 we paid just to be seen.

I recently had a very positive experience at Best Urgent Care. My normal PC Doctor was traveling and out of state therefore I had to seek an alternative option when I came across this medical office. I was greeted with a warm hello. After completing some basic paperwork, I was almost immediately taken back to see the Dr. Shazia Hamid. I have been going to this Best Urgent Care for the last seven years. It is one of the most easy urgent cares to get in. Staff is friendly. Got there with my son right when they opened. We was the first one to be seen. Got my son vitals weight height and all that. When we were done and had to wait for the doctor they told us the doctor will be with us in a minute she went to drop her kids off at school. I asked how much money it would be with my insurance and the doctor straight up told me it would be free. It would be free for an ultrasound too. I paid $55 for my copay and my insurance said it was out of net work so I now have to pay $270 on top of my $55. I know it’s my responsibility to know what’s out of network or not but I only returned the second time bc the doctor told me it would be free. A doctor shouldn’t be saying it would be free if they did not fully know I would be covered. I can only imagine what the ultrasound would’ve cost if I actually went through with the ultrasound…she also only prescribed me 2 months of meds when my next check up is 3 months from now. What will I do without meds for a month? Come back and pay more money? Not sure why someone else with a more serious disease will do. I do not think this doctor is reliable. I will be sticking to my old endocrinologist as they are cheaper and efficient.

When I first came to this Dr I got extreme valuable care Dr was very knowledgeable and efficient check everything not like others Dr offices where they don’t care because of your insurance. If your looking for an amazing primary or urgent care check out this Dr office from Ultrasound in house X-ray in house amazing staff very sweet and respectful also the lab in house she was great so if anyone needs amazing care they take all insurance Medicaid Medicare and you will be treated as equal. DO NOT GO!!! The staff is rude and incompetent! The "nurse/medical aid" who took me to the room, couldn't crack a smile or even say anything. She took my vitals. I was in for a 4 day fever and breathing issues. I had to ask her to take my temp. Her response, "oh, I forgot". The doctor was nice but how do you complain of breathing issues and the Dr. never listens to your lungs??? I had to ask for the chest X-ray. I was told I would get a call within 48 hours with my results and no one called! Surprise!

Geez. I needed a referral, they referred me to a place that doesn’t take my insurance which isn’t a big deal we can fix that. I found my own specialist because they wouldn’t and gave them the information. This referral needs to be entered into a certain portal for my insurance. Of course this was not done. I called them twice to sort this out at which the lady stopped answering for my phone number because when called from a different phone she would answer right away. She hung up on me. I had to make a three way call to the specialist because even the specialist was placed on hold for half an hour but of course when you call the urgent care from another line she answered right away. The specialist required a medication before being seen and the urgent care was charging a co pay again for it ( I know the specialist could’ve/maybe should’ve prescribed that medicine that they themselves were requesting) but nonetheless just another hiccup. I called the specialist again days later and they still do not have the referral on file. This urgent care refuses to send it for verification. My insurance also “didn’t go through” for this visit despite being recently seen under the same insurance for the same exact problem...and yes that last visit wasn’t the best either. Just overall it has been one of those places to avoid. Drive down the street and try a different place. Medical facilities are not the place for awful professionalism and pure laziness.

I explained to the doctor that I have an allergic reaction to a certain a medication therefore cannot take it & she brushed it off like it wasn't true & prescribed it anyways. I asked her for an alternative which I always have gotten other places when I explain my allergy & she said there wasn't any alternatives. I have been going to this place last 3 years Person who take the appointment always 1-charges me wrong amount for visits
Once they charge my wife $25 and $50 to me when I asked, person who accepts appointments gave me bad attitude and end up charging $50 to me and my wife like she punished me.

If I could give this place a negative review I would. This is an absolute scam of a clinic. I saw her for urgent care and it was fine (all urgent cares suck with long wait time) but when I came back making her my primary I waited 90 minutes to be seen with her and I had an appointment. Then she would not tell me my blood work results over the phone... I had to come in and PAY to get my results because it's "an office visit technically." Talk about absolute scam. I will be disputing this "appointment" with my insurance. In what world is it okay to make a patient pay for results? It's not okay.

On top of this. She does not have proper equipment in each of her rooms. So she knocked on my door while I was waiting to have another patient come to the door while she grabbed the ear piece to examine her ear that was STUCK TO THE WALL and exam her in my door frame. What happened to privacy in healthcare?? She also does not shut the doors all the way and neither do staff, so you can literally hear every person's exam - apparently everyone has an infection here.

The rooms are dirty, like they never get cleaned l. The first time I came here for urgent care there were cockroaches in the lights in the ceiling - I mean absolutely gross.

Now let's talk about her demeanor. When I first saw her, she's pretty abrupt but straightforward. I figured that was her personality. Well this second time I came, she was back up and taking too many patients and I could see she was stressed. She decided to yell at me that I was not moving my neck where she wanted it but I am sorry I am not a mind reader. A normal doctor would have said they are going to move my head around and to relax but instead she yelled "I keep asking you to put your head down and you are not listening to me!!" And then proceeded to harshly grab my head and forced it down to my chest. An absolute nightmare! I am so disgusted that she is able to continue her practice.

I am editing my post in response to the Shazia's comments. First of all you must have me confused with another patient. As I was seen by YOUR clinic last for something entirely different and had blood work done 18 months ago, but I know you are not trying to share my medical history online breaking HIPPA and patient confidentiality, Right?

Also, although the otoscope is property of the facility and can be moved to any room. This was not the case in my situation. It was attached to the wall and you ran the cord to my doorframe to exam a patient. Definitely a violation of HIPPA and patient privacy. Another patients should NOT be examined in another patient's room. Absolutely disgusting practice.

For all you reading this, please read her follow up responses to patients who did not like her care. They almost all violate HIPPA and is a true testament to how she runs her practice. I can imagine she opened her own practice because she does not play well in a clinic setting ...

Poor service. They charge your credit separately for every service:X-ray separate, consultation separate and each time there is a service fee on your credit card. Luckily, I had cash and avoided those extra charges. They don’t provide bandages or braces. I was told to purchase my own and watch google to wrap my swollen ankle, which I don’t know if fractured or sprained or what.
I was promised results of my x-ray the next day. It’s now the 8th day and 4 phone calls later, still no results.

Below is my personal opinion based on my experience. Your experience might be different than mine.
I personally like Dr. Hamid and I feel that she is an excellent medical physician but the package that she encapsulates herself with does not reflect that.
A couple of weeks ago, on a Friday, I visited Dr. Hamid thinking that I had a sinus infection. I’ve had this several times in the last few years. She had her staff take a culture of my throat and send it to a lab. On Sunday, I was feeling terrible and administered a home Covid test and tested positive.
I immediately called her office, left a message stating I tested positive for Covid and requested Paxlovid. An antiviral theory used to treat Covid. It needs to be taken within five days of detection.
Time is of the essence! As per the Mayo Clinic, the risk of death in those older than 65 years of age, is 81% higher than those that are younger!
I never received a call from her office. I had to call her office multiple times throughout the day on Monday. I was told she was too busy to take my call. Really? You can die from Covid! I assume she cares but? Did she even get the message? The prescription was finally sent in at 6 PM, Monday night! I left a message on Sunday with no response!

The following Friday, I realized I never heard from Dr. Hamid’s office regarding the results of my culture/test. I was then told by her office that my test results can back showing I was positive for Covid and I also had Strep-throat. I was never told that! Dr Hamad, nor her staff never called to tell me that. In addition, they never called me at all regarding the positive test for Covid. They did say I took the test at home and I know what I have. They never asked if I was ok, at home dying, or need hospitalization! Their lack of action indicated to me, lack of concern! Did they care if I lived or died from Covid? Where they too busy to call?

They never called to tell me that their lab results aligned with the Covid positive results I got from my home test and never told me that I tested positive for Strep-throat. If I never called, I would have never know.
The only call I received from Dr. Hamid was last night. That was eleven days after testing positive for Covid. Was she calling about my Covid and Strep-throat? Was she calling to see if I survived Covid? Was she calling to see if I checked in a hospital? No she was not! She was calling about this on-line review! Is this review more important than my health?
For years, Dr. Hamid has told me that she can not fill my prescriptions for more than 90 day with NO refills. Having lost faith in what she was telling me, I wrote to both the Nevada State Board of Pharmacy and the Nevada State Medical Board. I was told by both that what I was being told by Dr. Hamid was simply not true and there are no limitations set forth in NRS and NAC 639 regarding one of the drugs I was taking. Was I deceived just to bring me into the office for possible Dr. Hamad's personal reasons to increase her cash flow? Does she put her own interests in front of the patients?

I was also told the she is on only licensed professional is her office that can send in a prescription. She does not have a nurse, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or anyone else that can help. I was told that she does not!

My impression is that she seems to work hard and long hours, she is a one horse show who puts her own interests first above that of the patients not hiring staff needed to support her.

If you want to pay your co-pay at the time of service, her staff will not accept it! I have never heard of this. Her billing department is impossible to deal with. I have asked for a bill for each visit and they have refused to send me one. My experience has been the they will send you a bill once a year with charges that have been forgotten about or unknown. Really? I think that is horrible and possibly unethical.
Keep in mind that her staff is trained to ask for positive Google reviews at every patient visit.
You decide for yourself. I'm done!

They call it Best, urgent care, not in my opinion definitely the worst urgent care.
When I first arrived, the staff was not welcoming. When I told the nurse and the doctor my symptoms, they were so stuck on giving me Covid test. Totally ignored my request for strep test. Went to another urgent care the day after was told that I have strep throat, finally i was able to get the right medicine so I can get some relief after fevers and chills for three nights. Don’t waste your time the reviews say it all.

I came here because I had a fishbone on my tongue when I ate fish. A doctor used ordinary tweezers without any medical equipment lighting to find the fishbone and said it seemed to be here and there, but he didn’t take out the fishbone. , Just say, well, I said that no matter how small the fishbone is, it is hard. If the fishbone is taken out, you should be able to see or touch it, but it is not. When you go out, you will be charged an extra $50. I will never come back. And remind everyone who goes there that they are not professional.

Absolutely appreciate Dr. Hamid and her staff. She has helped me diagnose my problem and actually listens when you tell her whats going on. I have also had to call frequently while we are trying to figure out medication authorizations and other referrals and Mia has been a great help with that as well, she actually stood on the phone with me while getting the whole referral done. Another office would have said they are taking care of it, and then don't actually do it for another 2 weeks. Worst experience in medical care ever. I went with my pre op tests my surgeon ordered. Needed a blood draw and chest xray. First thing when u walk in it is infested with grasshoppers and their droppings. The lights were filthy with bugs. Doctor made wait for long time while she was chit chatting on phone. She was rude and disrespectful. Was chewing gum with open mouth while talking. It made me sick listen the gum smacking. It made it difficult to understand her. She did not know how to operate the X-ray machine and took three exposures for a simple X-ray.

The Doctor wasn’t even there until an hour later. Then they took X-rays on a machine from the 60’s and diagnosed a dislocated shoulder. Then they told us to go to the ER. Once we got there they realized how bad the diagnosis and X-rays were. They took new ones there and finally got the right treatment.

Terrible experience. Doctor is very dismissive. She is not attentive. She does not take time to read her reports nor does she listen to the patients. Best doc I’ve had she in very informative and great with communication. She has made this new journey of me being a diabetic safe and easy to navigate I have no issues with my levels because of the inform she has provided to me.

Everyone one here is exceptionally warm and welcoming. This is my primary care and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.

They are friendly, professional and they make sure you’re getting great service. I’ve never had to take off work for a day to sit there and wait. It’s actually a pleasure to come in to get my health needs taken care of.

I had sudden loss of hearing. Saw Dr Hadid and without an appointment waited maybe 1/2 hour which I expected. She found a double ear infection, prescribed medications, and said to wait 2-3 days and then needed wax clean out. Went back with an appointment and waited maybe 10 minutes. Dr Hamid did a great job of clearing wax and restored my hearing. I could not be more grateful !! I too wondered why exam doors left open, but I see here it’s because of Covid. I’m sure doors would be closed if personal matter. Staff were all very nice and efficient. Would definitely go back.

This has to be the worst urgent care I’ve ever been to. I was the only one there and had to wait for over an hour to see someone. Another person came in after I went to the back and somehow they were seen before me! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AT THIS URGENT CARE!!

Been going to her for about 6 years,,has always taking care of me,,nice friendly staff,,she is my Doctor and always will be,,sometimes you have to wait a little but only because see listens to you,,have found too many Doctors that do
