I seen this DOCTOR near 20 years and I could tell you for a fact that he has fined every single illness and I’m definitely very Ill with a serious sickness I’m so very blessed to find him. He’s been my guidance through every horrible illness that I have and I’m still standing thanking him for the help he has gave me through out all…. anyone that is sick and he needs help. I really underestimated this place. The doctor was incredibly thorough, more than any other doctors I’ve encountered in the past. I truly felt like she cared about my health. In addition the staff was kind and respectful. The wait time was not long. They conduct ultrasounds in office so I didn’t have to wait weeks for a third party to schedule me elsewhere. I am truly impressed glad I changed my PCP to this one. I Highly recommend this establishment and these doctors.

I been go to Canyon Medical for years now. I even recommend it to my family and close friends. The Front Office staff are amazing. They definitely go above and beyond when it comes to handling your paperwork, find appointments that fit your schedule and any questions you may have.
Dr. Muthiua is very knowledgeable in his field. He has the patience to listen to his patients and give you the time. He never rushes his patients. Excellent doctor. He cares about how you're doing and feeling. He's the first doctor that I've had that schedules test that other doctors never did. He is very thorough. This place is the worst. If you value your health, STAY AWAY.

The "doctor" just sits in his office and let's the nurses talk to patients, he prescribes medicine without even seeing the patient, they don't let spouses in the room for no reason, they give random medicine without waiting to see if stuff works.

The office manager thinks shes God and bosses people around, even when shes wrong, she told me I didn't have insurance when I was holding my card.

UPDATE: They kept seeing my wife and kept sending her texts about upcoming appointments and when she showed the "doctor" had marked her inactive. No one in the office knew why and she was turned away but they still tried to bill her insurance. This place is a scam, they don't know what they're doing and will do everything they can to get more money out of you and your insurance. The most corrupt "medical" place I've ever seen.

But when it comes to his staff and getting a call back yeah that would be a negative zero. I literally have to go to the office on my lunch break to speak to somebody because they will not call you back. I waited a whole month until I decided okay. I'm going to the office on my lunch break. And from then every lunch break whenever I need to go. That's where I spend it driving to his office.
I had a surgery with him and he was great but after surgery it's like they ghost you.

The doctor, I think he's the doctor, is admittedly a little standoffish. Never introduced himself, just told me stuff I already knew. But Justine Wang, the techs & the whole front desk staff are all amazingly nice & competent people. I'm so grateful for the thorough care they've given me. They take me seriously, they're prompt with appointments, they give plenty of reminders, they're flexible when I need to reschedule. I highly recommend Justine Wang. I'm not even sure who Dr. Muthaiah is, actually, but the rest of the practice is great! Thank you guys!

I quit. I canceled my last appointment here. Dr. Muthaiah is rude, accusatory, dismissive, abrasive, unfriendly, unhelpful, incompetent-- I could go all day. There are only one or two good people left in the office who don't seem to totally hate their jobs and the patients like the rest of them. Honestly, since Justine left, I've not been comfortable going here. I told Canyon Medical Center on May 6th that I've been sick since March. I then told them twice more over the weeks that I desperately need help; guess who didn't get any help. I'm still sick, I've had to cancel several appointments, which is not your fault, but you're a doctor! You have one job, to treat the sick! You have terrible bedside manner. I'd rather go to a toddler playing pretend doctor, at least then maybe they would give a hoot about fixing my problem. Good luck and I'm praying for you guys. I’ve been a patient with canyon medical for over 6 years & I’ve never thought I’d experience what I experienced this past week. Dr. R. MUTHAIAH M.D. Was the most rudest unprofessional doctors I’ve ever dealt with. I’ve recently had surgery & per usual was scheduled to follow up with my primary care. This Dr. R. MUTHAIAH M.D. didn’t look, peek, feel nothing at my incision, instead made comments like he didn’t do the surgery, this isn’t a surgery office etc which I was very well aware of but by being my primary care their job is to check & be sure that everything looks & is healing okay. This Dr. R. MUTHAIAH M.D.brushed me off, when asked for referrals etc I was talked over & rushed. He was very snobby & just unprofessional. My worst experience ever. I had surgery 6 years ago & at my follow up for canyon medical the experience was nothing like it was this past week. I have found a new service provider & I am beyond grateful however I will never recommend anyone to Dr. R. MUTHAIAH M.D.knowing that it’s possible they’ll experience the treatment I experienced.

Whent there for a minor thing got charged for the visit, then got a SECOND charge for over 100 bucks 3 weeks later. They told me it was a mistake and that they'd send me a check to give back the money they wrongfully charged me and a year later still nothing. Bunch of crooks and liars. Send me to billing department because they don't handle billings on site other than TAKING money (and evidently keeping your payment info) just all in all bad business practice. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

They had good Dr, and staff now they have garbage. They don't care anymore, turn over staff every month, the DR is gone and the lady tells me that I need to buy Tylenol, I can't buy them I am homeless, I have severe nerve damage, suffer from Migraines, and severe Depression and Anxiety. I am am 60 years old, I want to die every day cause of the pain since I had my head slit open at 5 years old in a Detroit Public School but she just says but Tylenol. 🤣 Tylenol 4s help but I can't afford to buy them, I asked for a note for my plantar fascia cause I take 400 mg of Gabapentin a day just to walk and they would not send a note to unemployment that my feet are so bad I can't stand on cement on an assembly line 9 hours a day, so I tried to work but I am suffering from Alzheimer's now and I can not ven get out of bed. They don't care.

TLDR- Your time is more valuable than this place. Even though the doctor is good, they ignore prior medical reports. Would rate 0 if it was an option. Avoid like your life depends on it. Multiple tests have been administered and screwed up for me here. They also tell you that you have not paid for certain fees although you discussed this multiple times, and they mess up multiple forms. Reported for wasteful fraud as they've done nothing but reschedule me for test and "re-run" supposed tests that they forgot to do the first time only to tell you that you don't pay your bill. Don't waste your time on them.

Dr. Insists on seeing you every 3 months whether you are sick or not. I have been on the same thyroid medication (only med) for over a decade. Will not refill prescription without bloodwork or visit. When asked why? He explained that is how he does things and I should go back to previous doctor that only required bloodwork yearly. If you are healthy and just need a primary for yearly labs and exams this is not the doctor for you.

WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. Dr Muthaiah took TEN minutes if not less to do a “physical”, removed my ADHD medication that I NEED, removed an anxiety h medication that I NEED, removed a dermatologist prescription THAT I NEED and then prescribed me a different medication for my ADHD that wasn’t in stock in any pharmacy. When I called the office over 25 times and kept getting hung up on, I finally got through to leave a note to the doctor. One week later, NOTHING. it’s been 3 weeks without my medication and I finally spoke to the “manager” today who was EXTREMELY rude and told me it was my fault for not finding the correct pharmacy. Dr Muthaiah is a horrific doctor and so is the staff at Canyon Medical Center. NEVER GO THERE!!

But there is a Lady the do the ultrasound, when she does that vaginal ultrasound, she doesn't use condoms on the stick or what ever they call, I see the she was trying to cover it, and she just cleaned it with paper,

The most unprofessional doctors office I have ever seen. To start the doctor was 30 minutes late to his own practice. After waiting the staff took multiple patients with appointments later than my own and told me it’s because they have follow up appointments which makes no sense. The staff continued to do everything but their jobs! They were texting, avoiding checking out patients and chatting! After waiting over an hour after my scheduled appointment time they finally called me back. The nurse then continued to hit me with the door make nasty smirks and texting when with me. First of all as a woman of color I will admit when I started with Canyon Medical Center was very hesitant. And stand-offish about doctors because of bad experiences. But Dr. Muthaiah stayed positive and treated me very professionally and stern about my health issues. The best part that he listened to me know matter my issues. That’s been five/six years ago.

Trying to force new patients to sign an arbitration agreement is a RED FLAG. I was told the doctor would be "unable" to be my pcp without signing it - for those who are unaware, arbitration agreements are VOLUNTARY NOT REQUIRED in any legal setting.

So this establishment refused to sign an ADA form I needed for work just because I used my RIGHT to waive arbitration.

Any doctor refusing service for this reason is sketchy!

I have been a patient since January of 2018. When I first started seeing Dr. M my diabetes was out of control. Slowly over time, the Dr. helped me get this under control. Many of the accusations I have seen in other reviews simply are not true. I have never heard Dr. M raise his voice or shout at staff or patients. The office staff has always been patient and respectful to me and anyone else I might have observed. Yes, the office does have staff turnover due to the fact some people find the volume of patients being seen can be taxing, hence the turnover. What I have observed is patients with unrealistic expectations and when told no, they get all bent out of shape. Overall, I think Dr. M is a very good doctor who is compassionate and caring. I would highly recommend him.

I, my husband and my daughter are all patients of Dr. Muthaiah's and have been for years. He does yearly tests on us to check our hearts and circulation, as well as lung tests and dexa scans, (for me). He requires blood testing on a regular basis. As far as I'm concerned, Dr.M saved my life by ordering thorough testing, which resulted in emergency surgery. He is very concerned about my progress, and gives knowledgable good advice. His staff takes care of us in a very timely manner, and are very pleasant. He also will explain everything for us to understand and not rush us out of our exam. He is a gentle kind man who is one of a kind, especially in Las Vegas.

I am looking for a primary care Doctor. Dr. Ramanathan is in my network so I thought I would give him a chance. One of the papers he wanted me to sign said if his treatment caused my death or injury I could not charge him with malpractice. I refused to sign it, so he wouldn't see me. I am thankful I read it. Saturday- their website and answering machine says that they are open until 1:00pm. I am at their door at 10:30am. Noone is answering the door. Be aware, their “walk-in” is not a walk-in unless you wanna walk-in to their wall. Sign says open, except noone is there.

This is my favorite doctors office they did a full check up nothing left out made sure everything with me was good took time with me too listen to my needs and worries.. and checked out what I was concerned about!
When the cardiologist did not do his job correctly my doc took over and did the right job!! Hated leaving now I have to hopefully find a great doctor like the one I had there!!

I was very fortunate to find Dr Muthaiah as I was in need of a Primary Dr for a much needed surgery. Instead of sending me to other facilities to get a ultrasound, etc. they do it there (saves time). Dr Muthaiah has been my primary for 3yrs and I don’t plan on going any where else for my medical attention.

My experience since being treated by Dr. Muthaiah for the past 2 yrs has been very good! I feel very comfortable talking to him and he seems to know what test (if needed) to diagnose my symptoms and then prescribes for me or refers me to what specialist is needed to then treat the problem. Yes, he may be rushed because of the number of patients he sees; but I understand that and know that his patient care for me is effective and comforting. Yes, 5 stars in my book is my experience. You’ll always find some folk who just do not fully understand medical issues that Dr’s have to comply with or even agree with their methods of treatment. That will never change.

For all you who have given 1 star just want to let you know that you missed a great Dr. The Dr is amazing and he is to the point and affront that which sounds different. But that is common for a Indian Dr’s.
He makes more sense and most of Dr outside is talk a lot and they don’t diagnose properly. The most important thing in a Dr is diagnose and this Dr is good on that part

As an elderly-gentleman, coming up onto my 7th decade of life, I can assure you that I have lots of opinions about lots of things. As a child, my family's primary personally delivered all seven of my mother's children; was the one who slapped my bottom, so I could have my first breath; and, who squeezed my hand and wished me luck as I left home to pursue my mandatory military service, A true gentleman, to every letter!
To avoid the costs of ER visits, due to the lack of walk-in medical care, with or without an appointment, I was thrilled to find Canyon Medical Center, Dr. Muthaiah and his staff. Primarily due to his advertised walk-in care, which I have not yet needed.
I have been their patient for about a year now, and have no complaints, just compliments. He and every member of his staff are true professionals, ladies and gentlemen, in what they do, have always answered my questions and have never LOOKED DOWN upon me as a patient, or human being.
We all have different experiences in life. There were no CT-Scans, MRI's, or other devices in medicine as a I was growing up, so my opinions are all based on my life experiences.
I have been very satisfied with the services I have received from Dr. Muthaiah and Canyon Medical Center nd thank them all for the high quality of care I receive there.

Anyone who has actually went to this doctor will say that the service is terrible! It used to be good, about 6 years ago. Staff is slow and lazy, and the doctor takes hours to see you for 3 minutes. Literally, I timed it! Then if you question him, he tells you not to come back to his office! And yes, he makes you do multiple, unnecessary tests every other month, and if you don't see him every month, he'll refuse to see you later when you actually need a doctor. I have no idea how his office is still open!

I would give this place zero stars if I could. At my first visit, I made an appointment and had to wait 4 hours to be seen. When I was seen, the room was dirty with holes in the floors and walls and had broken equipment. The Dr. Muthaiah himself spent no time listening to my needs. And the "exam" was all of 5 minutes. It took 4 phone calls to get my inhaler prescription filled. Then when I needed a refill, he refused to fill my monthly inhaler prescription and at the last minute discharged me from his patient list. So now, I'm left with no inhaler a medication I need to take twice a day. And no doctor. How is this following the oath of "Do no harm?"

I switched to this Dr. About 4 months ago, i couldn't be happier. The staff is very nice and on top of everything!! No missing charts or rushing you threw like a lot of Dr. Office's do in Vegas. The Dr. Listens and lets you ask all questions you need. I had a issue with my copay and the Office manager handled it right away. Im very grateful i fou d this office. I went to this location for over two years. Overall, the experience was poor. Some things you should expect:

1. Long wait times, even when an appointment is made and you're early.
2. This establishment is essentially a doc-in-the-box -- an urgent care, despite what they tell you.
3. You will be highly pressured to have blood work done every 3 months. They do it because they get paid for every blood test they order.
4. Once you're finally seen, they tend to rush you out. It seems to be all about numbers with them.
5. They'll discourage you from using your current medications and suggest another, much more expensive option.

Bottom line: save yourself the trouble unless you have no other option.

This place told me to find another doctor and would not give me a reason. They just told me I have been discharged from this facility after I asked them why.... Wow! VERY professional**

Always super rude when they answer the phone, very condescending attitude. Every time I pay them a visit I see someone new....which doesn't surprise me. I was told to go in the next day for blood work and they made me wait for almost 2 hours because I didn't bring the paper they gave me (they told me the day before I only needed the paper if I went somewhere else, so I left it at home). This place is a joke.

I had my very first visit here on Wednesday of last week and was extremely pleased. Coming from a doctor's office that I was NEVER pleased with because the doctor was ALWAYS running an hour to 2 hours behind on appointments as well as extremely unprofessional and unconcerned of patients. Also the staff not being honest with the doctor's lateness as well as staff unprofessional...this office impressed me on my very first visit. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The doctor is thorough and patient with explaining things. This office is everything and so much more than what I was used too. Great job!!!

I finally found a professional and caring Physician along with a great staff. They can perform many necessary tests right in their office and not make you run all over town to have them done. I was looking for a good doctor in my area and this was the only doctor that had great reviews. The staff were very friendly and helpful. No hassle if your trying to set an appointment. Walk in are accepted but if there are people with set appointment ahead of you, you might wait a bit. My only concern is they need to upgrade there scale! I came in with my client and he was a bit on the heavy side. So because the scale could not read his weight they ask me to GUESS HIS WEIGHT. Please do something about this, accuracy of height and weight is vital to patient health. Its just unacceptable! Overall experience was great. Doctor and all his staff was very professional and thorough with examination. Hopefully it does not change within six month. UPGRADE SCALE STAT!!!!!!

Staff and doctor are very rude. I had abnormal test results on a mammogram and no one called to inform me. I was finally told of my test results when I went in to refill my medications. Bathroom is disgusting. I asked them to clean it and, of course, no one did.

I have been seeing Dr. Muthaiah since I moved here to Las Vegas in 2012. The staff has always been polite and the facility is clean and maintained. Dr Muthaiah is an amazing doctor. I have been seeing him for about 1 1/2 years now. He is always there for me when I need him. Need a GREAT doctor STOP HERE I started seeing Dr. Muthaiah after being assigned to him in 2008 when I was admitted to Spring Valley hospital for diverticulitis. Quiet, kind, and a sense of humor,a little dry, that's what it took to keep my petulant attitude [ I don't need to be here I can take care of myself at home] in check, and keep me where I belonged for a week. I've seen Dr. Muthaiah every 4 to 6 months for the last 5 years. Whenever I complain about a pain or an ache he makes sure I get tested, most tests happen right in the office, and then treated with fast efficiency and any medication or treatments I might need. I feel as though I can ask any question and I can participate in my own health care instead of feeling like just getting patted on the head and given drugs that I don't understand and sent on my way. I was most impressed however, just recently, when I was looking for a geriatric doctor for my mother, who stays with me 6 months of the year. I had looked everywhere and could'nt even find a geriatric doctor in the Las Vegas area. My mom was in a lot of pain due to osteoporsis that caused acute compression fractures of several vertibrae. He treated my mom with such respect, he validated the extreme pain she was in and relieved her pain right away. He scheduled surgery and within 2 weeks she out of bed and walking around the house again. He even got her to take calcium, which she hates. So if you're looking for a new caring, on the ball doctor with an office staff to match check out Dr. Ramanathan Muthaiiah at Canyon Medical Center.

Was an R. N. for many years. Consequently, have worked with many M. D.'s. Some really listened to what their patient had to say. Some made the patient a partner in their care plan to deal with their health challenges. A few didn't order unneeded tests and send them to one unneeded specialist after another. Fewer yet were so knowledgeable in so many areas.

Dr Methaiah is quite unique because he has all these attributes. Am fortunate to be one of his patients. Unfortunately, there wasn't a "Quality" choice of "Outstanding".

I visited Dr. Muthaiah in January of 2013 for a common cold. Due to his professionalism and perseverance, it was discovered that I had a life threatening situation, an aortic aneurism. He then referred me to a vascular surgeon who performed an operation to repair the aneurism. If it were not for Dr. Muthaiah's experience and knowledge, I could have died. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Muthaiah. I will not hesitate to recommend him to anyone for any reason. Do not go to this place. I have been here twice and do not plan on going ever again. The waiting room smells like mold and there was a homeless man hanging out there just watching tv. The front desk women are really stupid. I have had to call almost 10 times to get a change of prescription. The Dr. prescribed me an antibiotic that is not even manufactured anymore. When Walgreens alerted them about this, they sent another prescription of the same medication in tablet form. HELLO?!?!? Walgreens told them it's no longer manufactured. The front desk people are lazy and when they answer the phone they are either laughing or have an attitude with you. Every time I have called they never answer my questions. They just tell me they will call me back and of course they never call me back. I have been sick with a stomach infection for 3 days now and still don't have the medication because the staff can't communicate in a timely manner with me or my pharmacy. Do not waste your money here. This medical center has a very unprofessional staff and dirty office.
