I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at this office. The front desk staff and medical assistants have been consistently rude and disorganized on multiple occasions. The repeated lack of professionalism, courtesy, and communication is unacceptable. Patients deserve to feel respected and valued, and unfortunately, that has not been my experience here!

Words can’t express how grateful I am for Dr Candace Spann. She did in four months what my last dermatologist couldn’t do in five years. She didn’t say here just take this, take this. This is a really great place. The seating is very comfortable. The staff are very warm and friendly. The physicians are very thorough and informative. I am a breast cancer survivor who couldn't stand looking at myself in the mirror after having corrective surgery. I was not happy with the results. Five years later I decided to try again. I can only give Dr. Candace Spann 5 stars⭐, but would give her many more if possible! Since moving to NV approximately 13 years ago, I started to see her, and she always knows exactly what is wrong. I have had skin problems such as eczema since an infant so I know what it feels like to have various types of breakouts. I recently had a panniculectomy performed by Dr. Marvin Spann, and I honestly couldn’t be more grateful for my experience.

I was in the office on May 30, 2025. I informed the front desk that a referral was sent from Tricare. I was told it was not received. I called Tricare again and they said it was sent twice. I had been sitting for about 10 minutes. As I checked at the front counter to see if the referral was sent twice or three times the receptionist Valerie said it was not received. I found that hard to believe because the Tricare office does get a confirmation.

As I waited, I was told that my 15 min grace period was up and that I would have to rescheduled. Now, after driving 45 minutes to get to this appointment I was just not very happy. I was told that I had to pay $90. I said, "Why would I pay when you know the referral is there and on the way!" Also, I informed them that it was open referral for Tricare patients. They said they did not know about this policy. I found that hard to understand when letters had been sent to providers and it has been on all media.

Had it not been for my daughter in dire need to see the doctor and the fact that we had been waiting for a while to get this appt is why I did not reschedule.

As soon as I put my credit card in the machine, mysteriously the referral shows up. I mean seconds as I hit the ok button for payment. I was told by Valerie that the referral is there now. I thought that was so ironic. Well, I was told that I could not go back to see the doctor until I paid the $90.00.

Wow! So sad that patient care isn't the number one concern. It is all about the dollar. I asked if I would get reimbursed and the second receptionist (Mariah) said she put in a request to reimburse me. Well, it is June 11th and I have not heard from Ashley (finance person). I even called and left several messages as well.

Now, I have another appointment today (June 12, 2025) and I am going to see if I am requested to pay another $90. This will be the last visit for me if this is the case.

Basically, my insurance card is not worth the paper it is on. Such a shame that we have come to -"You better have money because insurance means nothing."

The first $90 was paid in January and I guess I won't see that $90 either. I will let Tricare know what is happening because I don't know if they are getting paid twice. Now this is fraud. Money is snatched from you fast, but we are slow to be paid back.
Don't get me wrong Dr. Candace Spann is a great doctor and we love her, but I am very upset as to how the financial process is carried out.

After visiting three other plastic surgeons who either told me my case was too challenging, said they couldn’t help me, or gave me the runaround, I was starting to lose hope. Meeting Dr. Marvin Spann completely changed that.

I wasn't real happy with this visit. The assiatant literally asked me "why I was there". She was cold and very impersonal. The visit with the doctor seemed rushed and I was asked " what's with the red face? " My face was tan due to being out in the sun. I absolutely LOVE going to my appointments! The staff is amazing, helpful and attentive. They always make sure I have everything I need.
My doctor, (Dr. Candace Spann) is phenomenal! She listens to EVERY concern I have and always has a solution for me. She is thorough and has a wonderful bedside manner. She treats me with kindness at every appointment and I always leave feeling happy and cared for.

Horrible patient service and dangerously poor communication!

This office was previously the only dermatologist that I recommended and trusted with my family’s care. They have gone downhill quickly in the past year.

They prescribe medications aimlessly and when I asked for a list of the medications and the instructions for them they not only refused but directed me to the patient portal and said to figure it out! That is horrendous. I intend to take my concerns the medical board of Nevada, even if I am no longer a patient I hope they choose to turn things around for the sake of their patient’s safety and care.

I have been a patient for more than 15 years. The customer service is great and the doctors are awesome. However, scheduling is a MAJOR problem. I've waited more than an hour multiple times. Today and hour to have 3 stitches snipped. Ridiculous! Finally after complaining a PA took care of it in 3 minutes. My time us valuable also. I drive 25 minutes to go to this office. Maybe it's time to find something closer to home that respects my time.
