I had gum graft surgery about six months ago and has resulted in extremely sensitive teeth. The prospect of getting my teeth cleaned today was stressful and left me full of anxiety. The front office staff, Emmy, greeted me with kindness and patience. I did not burden her with my anxiety, but her warm smile eased me a bit immediately. The dental assistant, Jessie, took me back for xrays, and listened to my concerns carefully. She answered all of my questions thoroughly and ensured my concerns were passed on to the doctor. I was certain I would lose my nerve and run out of the office the moment I sat in the chair. Dr. Troy Trobough talked me through each moment. He was extremely gentle and gave me the most gentle injections I’ve ever had. In fact, I’ve never had such a painless dental block. It was not comfortable -I mean, it’s a long needle going into your gums!- but it was lightyears better than any other dentist has provided. Furthermore, the numbing kept me comfortable throughout the process. Despite my continued anxiety, Jessie and Dr. T kept me aware and walked me through each step until the last moment. There were no surprises, and they went at my pace. I thank Dr. T, Jessie, Emmy and the entire staff here for their compassion, kindness and patience. They are a class act!

First time patient! I absolutely love everyone here! I had a routine exam and a scaling and root planing for the first time. I needed a last minute visit. The receptionist, Nicole, scheduled me immediately. Super amazing customer service! Everyone was so welcoming when I came in. Jessie did my X-rays and was very friendly. Love her vibe. I went to Dentists of Spring Valley on a Saturday for an emergency after breaking a tooth, and I was in a lot of pain. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted so warmly by the front desk staff. I explained that I had broken a tooth and was in significant pain.
Dr. Guron heard me and immediately directed the assistant to take me back, so I didn’t have to wait. I had my tooth fixed and left with a permanent crown — all in under two hours! The entire experience was completely painless and comfortable.
The whole office was incredibly professional, accommodating, and caring. I truly can’t thank them enough for helping me on a weekend when I was in so much pain. Tooth pain can honestly feel like some of the worst pain in the world, and they turned what could have been a very stressful experience into such a pleasant one.
I’m so grateful to the entire team for taking such great care of me!

Absolutely, hands down the best dentist office I’ve been to. The staff is efficient and calls you back within five minutes of you checking in. I had a root canal done here. If you're afraid of pain, you can confidently choose this practice; it was the first time I didn't even feel the anesthesia injection. Dr. Brade and the entire front-desk staff are very nice. I’m Chinese, and I would normally choose a dentist who speaks Chinese, but my concerns turned out to be unnecessary. I scheduled a $59 “exam and cleaning” and called before to explicitly ask if they can do the cleaning despite ANYTHING they may find or believe needs to be done with my teeth. They told me yes.

Upon seeing a hygienist, I was told I needed a “deep cleaning”. I laughed in their face. They said they couldn’t do a cleaning without doing a “deep cleaning” or they would lose their license. Okay… so don’t advertise a cleaning and tell me over the phone you will do a basic cleaning regardless. Once the dentist came in the room I excused myself and asked to see the bill should I decide to do a “deep cleaning”. Attached is that bill. How amazing of them to cut it down to a nice $1,000 for me. The cherry on top was them attempting to charge me $59 for the service rendered. I refused because the service of cleaning my teeth was not completed as advertised by a spokesperson for the company.

I try to keep things pretty fun and light in situations like this, but wow…. What industry hasn’t been corrupted by the art of the grift at this point? Do better.

Our first visit was today. But from my first call for appt for my husband and up to this point, my husband and I already know that we finally found the right Dentist for us. Dr Trobough is kind, gentle, patient, and thorough. My husband is extremely scared of dentist visits but Dr T calmed and assured him so he is awesome in my book!
At the front office, Emmy was also amazing. She was also kind and great at communicating, explained everything clearly, and patient with answering all my questions and helped us figure out our plan of action with all our dental needs and hashing out insurance coverage and our copays.

I was charged for a service I did not receive. They demanded I pay up front, or I would not be seen. I have been a patient here for quite some time and seen many turnovers in personnel. I have been a patient here for a little over 3 years. I believe this business is scamming people 10000000%.

Back in 2022 - My first appointment I went to it had been about 4 years since my last appointment because my dentist went out of practice. (I’m very scared of the dentist since I was a kid.) the first dentist I saw told me despite me not having been in a while my teeth looked great and had no issues or new cavities. They recommended I get laser treatment after the initial deep cleaning and told me my gums needed work but that I was in a good spot after I got a deep clean.

I went back in 3 months later for a checkup and the dentist I had previously no longer worked there. I got dr Bae and told me I needed 3 fillings. I asked why they weren’t seen the last time I had been there just 3 months prior and he said not every dentist is thorough. I thought it was crazy but they expressed how urgent I needed them and I went ahead and got the work done over 2 sessions without questioning it further.

I have been coming ever since every 3 months never missing a cleaning. Ever since time they tell me my gums are not improving and that I need their $130 laser treatment to help with the gum issues. They have tried to offer me gum hero at least 4 times over the past 2 years. It’s 1100 dollars after insurance. (I asked to look at the tube and saw the active ingredient was 7.5% peroxide and got a similar product on Amazon for $20 that has helped a lot - do not buy gum hero it’s a scam.) When I told them to not ask me about gum hero again they switched to me suddenly needing a mouth guard for $450 after insurance (you can get one on Amazon for like $150 with a diy home kit).

2 of dr Baes fillings have failed me. The 1st one started shredding floss and they had to redo it. They recommended an inlay (partial crown). I agreed for $350.

My last straw came this past month. I had a second one of dr Bae’s fillings fail and had to go back in to get it fixed. They recommended another inlay to fix it. Another $350. They then told me I had another 2 teeth that could potentially need fillings in that same appointment. I had a checkup scheduled 3 weeks after this incident and they told me I now have 3 cavities and need 3 additional inlays costing over $1200 after insurance.

I just went to a dentist for a second opinion and they confirmed I was lied to. They told me none of my 3 teeth they were trying to get me to fix have decay on them or even staining, and that them telling me I had advanced gum disease was a flat out misdiagnosis. They recommended I go in only once every 6 months for cleanings and that the laser things they were doing was nonsense. They also told me their 1st inlay they did to me is going to eventually need to be redone because the way they put it into my mouth is incredibly crooked and left a huge gap and bad tooth contact. They said that I also have 0 evidence of teeth grinding and do not need a mouth guard. They informed me dentists of spring valley also have exhausted all my insurance from both of my dental insurances for the rest of the year. It’s July.

I just checked the mail after my 2nd opinion appointment and have 2 different bills stating I owe dentists of spring valley $450 because insurance won’t cover something. I have no idea what this is even for, as every time I’m seen they charge me hundred of dollars.

I’m pretty mad. I’ve wasted thousands of dollars on laser treatments and fillings I more than likely never needed in the 1st place. This dentist is a scam artist do not go here they will scam and lie to you to get as much money as possible for procedures you don’t even need in the 1st place.

I’m going to be going to the BBB about this. I can’t even imagine how many people they have done unnecessary services and procedures on in the name of the almighty dollar. The employees all should be ashamed to work here and represent this horrible company.

Ive been here before but today was my first time having a dental cleaning. The front desk has always been super friendly and understanding. They make sure to know who I am and immediately greeted me by my first name before I said anything which was shocking.

They got me all set up and even told me an estimate time after all the other people in the waiting room were taken in.

Once I was in I was immediately greeted by Lisa the hygienist. She was undoubtedly was super awesome. Not only was I super informed on why I was feeling the way I did during the cleaning she had a student too so I got a little lesson on dental cleanings and how the gums work. I loved her way of saying that being a dental hygienist is 50% cleaning and 50% educating.

Overall the experience was amazing and my teeth feel great.

Oh my goodness! Why didn’t I visit this dentist before? It’s one of the best dental offices I’ve ever been to. The staff was amazing and incredibly friendly. You know how sometimes you don’t want to go to the dentist because of past trauma or something, but honestly, this place is hands down one of the best. I was assigned to this dental office through my insurance and went in with no prior expectations. After my experience, I would strongly caution others before coming here.
I scheduled an exam and cleaning, but when I arrived, I was told the hygienist had already left for the day. No one bothered to inform me ahead of time, which meant I wasted a trip and would have to come back again.

During the exam, I was told I had "bad gum health" due to grinding and was immediately recommended a night guard costing over $3,000 (about $800 with insurance). I've been with my previous dentist for over 10 years and was never told anything remotely like this. I've never questioned a dentist's opinion in my life until now, which says a lot. When I asked for clarification, the explanation felt vague and unconvincing, so I will be getting a second opinion.

Afterward, I did some research--and that's when things really started to make sense. There is a clear pattern of patients being told they have "bad gum health" and then being pushed into expensive treatments. It honestly feels like a scripted upsell tactic rather than genuine care. On top of that, the flood of overly positive Google reviews compared to the more detailed and critical Yelp reviews raises serious questions about their credibility.

The final straw was when I canceled a follow-up appointment through their automated system the day before my scheduled appointment, which clearly confirmed my cancellation. Despite that, I later received a confirmation as if the appointment was still scheduled. When I called to resolve it, they tried to charge me a $100 missed appointment fee anyway.

That right there confirmed everything I suspected--this place is far more focused on making money than actually taking care of patients. Between the disorganization, questionable diagnoses, and aggressive billing tactics, I would not trust this office with my dental care.

New patient here. Well, I would be new but from the start, I'm not sure this is the place I want to move to. I was asked to come in early. It was just an hour early but I had to rush all my other things to do on my one day off and even put other things off until after. I did arrive a couple of minutes late from the earlier time where I thought I was doing them a favor by accommodating but apparently it was just a standby because I got there and there was only one patient already at the counter and 2 more showed up after me. 2 of the 3 got called before me. I guess calling me in 1 hour early on my one day off was for THEIR convenience and not really any help for me. The receptionist did tell me that the appointment lasts an hour and a half but I just don't appreciate being asked to change my day so I can stand around for them.

I get it scheduling is hard but who is the one paying?? And I probably wouldn't mind sitting in the waiting room but it's probably the most uncomfortable waiting room. They have a TV but you literally have to strain your neck to watch it and it's loud enough to hear but then they have unrelated music playing in the lobby so it's just really really uncomfortable. Hearing two totally different things playingat once is not relaxing, it's annoying. On top of that, I don't know why but the 3rd patient and her son decided to stand in the small waiting area. It left me feeling anxious. I don't like people standing in a waiting room. Sorry if that's unreasonable but It just didn't feel comfortable at all. The offices are not very private either. I could see right into the procedure rooms from the lobby.

Finally, nobody had any idea what my first visit would cost?? Why?? Are they unsure what a new patient is going to need immediately?? Seems like they are already planning on just throwing procedures to do so they need to keep it open. Ironically this is the same reason I decided to leave my last dentist so....off to find another, I guess. Because this ain't it.

UPDATED : After actually seeing the dentist as a new patient, now I see why they didn't know the charges. Over 2k in work just for initial first time visit?? One would think they don't want to chase patients away. Never heard of first time patient being slammed with this many charges. And the dentist was rude.

I never post reviews on here but I felt like this was a must.. This office will constantly try to upsell you on extra treatments and products. Literally every treatment was a new “issue” that I needed to pay out of pocket for. I was also told that I needed a $1000 gel product + $25/mo refills for my “bone loss” (these products are not covered by my insurance). Dr. Guron and team did not specify on my diagnosis or exactly how long this “treatment” would be for. I didn’t agree with this as there was no clear plan of care explained to me. I have always gone to routine check ups and never missed one. I also take very good care of my dental health and am in excellent health. Have never been told that I had these dental issues before, until I came to this office… Furthermore, I got a second opinion from another provider, did a full exam, and was told that my teeth, bone and gum health look good and no other treatments were necessary at this time. I am no longer coming to this practice. I’m new to the area and have never experienced this level of distrust for a provider before. Very disappointing.

I had a very consistent experience with many negative posters. I originally started going here because it's close my house, and was so impressed with Dr. Amanda Elpers. She was so friendly and personable, and I felt that she genuinely cared, and I was never pressured into additional services.
Once she left, at every visit it was mentioned I would need something else: a mouth guard, a deep cleaning, now a different type of more expensive maintenance cleaning (which was not mentioned to me at the time of the deep cleaning) - and my insurance was covering very little of these costs.
I never received one of my mouth guards and found that the one I did receive provided no relief. It took over 6 months to finally get the refund. I was offered the replacement item, and I declined, reinforcing that I just wanted the $500 back, and had to make multiple phone calls after that point despite being told each time "We're working on it." I stated I was not going to do the maintenance cleaning that costs an additional $79 per visit but would do the cleaning covered by my insurance. The front desk person told me to discuss this with the dentist; I did, and he agreed I could proceed with the regular cleaning. I was then sent a bill for the more expensive maintenance cleaning that took, again, MONTHS before resolution.
I have read the reviews and disagreed for a long time, giving this office the benefit of the doubt because I have been going here for years. I do not want to believe it was all a money grab, but the stories are in line with my experience, and I am astonished at the effort it to get my money back in both of these situations. Since the refund hit, I am now searching for a new dentist. It is very sad to lose trust in your healthcare providers.
On a positive note, the majority of the office staff outside of the office manager with whom I dealt most consistently are very kind. The providers are open to answering questions and explaining their rationales. I was pleased with having a number of specialties under one roof.

Everyone there is very nice, but it often feels like they are trying to upsell services. At my very first visit, they told me I needed a mouth guard, but I couldn’t afford it at the time, so I declined. They also said I needed a deep cleaning with lasers, which would have been an additional $500. I couldn’t afford that either, so I declined and had a regular cleaning instead.

I returned about six months later for a second cleaning. This time, they didn’t mention the mouth guard at all, but again said I needed a deep cleaning with lasers. It was very expensive, so I declined and requested a normal cleaning. They then told me they could not do a regular cleaning and that it had to be the deep cleaning with lasers. Since I still couldn’t afford it, I declined the cleaning altogether and planned to get a second opinion from another dentist.

After I said I was going to leave, they suddenly said they could do the regular cleaning after all, so I agreed and had it done.

Later, I switched to a different toothpaste that was supposed to help with deep cleaning. I then went to another dentist, who told me my gums looked fine.

Because of this, I never went back. It felt like they were trying to charge extra and possibly overbill my insurance.

I had to give them 1 star and they do not deserve that at all. Oh my gosh do not go there. In a cleaning they will tell you you have gingivitis and need a deep cleaning and a laser treatment for your gums. When they told me that, I thought they were crazy and said no, but when they told my 22 year old daughter the same thing 2 week later I new that this place is a scam. Thanks.

My 11 year old daughter had a filling that fell out at night and they were able to get her in to get it replaced the very next day. Dr. Guron is fantastic and is as good with kids as she is with adults. Some places have great Dentists but poor front desk help but that is not the case here. They are always friendly and pleasant to work with. We have been to plenty of dentists in the LV area but nothing has been as great as the people that work here!

Called doctor Guron because I needed a crown with root canal ,initially everything went well, on the first visit she couldn’t get it just right , had to adjust it twice. Two months later crown falls out and I swallowed it ! In between the time I had it done and the time it fell out, I moved out of state. I called the office several times always struggling to get a live person on the phone. When I was finally able to get help, and , explained my situation, they were not helpful, they offered me a $500.00 credit to my card, we paid $1100 plus whatever my insurance paid them ! I explained that I could not get a dental office to make a new crown for $500, they offered to call a sister office in my area who promptly changed me $900 for the crown. This original crown should have lasted a lot longer than 2 months! Buyer be aware, their work does and will not last. Very disappointed in doctor Guron . She should have stepped in and spoke to us, she hid behind her call center and it cost us an additional $900 . Shame on you!

I believe I was misled about necessary dental treatments. During my recent visit, I was unexpectedly told I needed a deep cleaning, costing $540 out-of-pocket, even though I hadn't ever required it. I declined and will get a second opinion. At a prior visit, my husband and I were both told we needed night guards, despite having no concerns- the price was also hundreds. This was only my second visit, and I'm concerned about the recommendations, especially the insinuation of "periodontal disease," described as an infection (the words periodontal disease were never used). I was also told my teeth would loosen and fall out in 5 years, even though I'm 37 and visit the dentist regularly. To the business, I won't be contacting you to offer suggestions, based on your replies to other reviews, as it appears these reviews are becoming a trend.

Extremely Disappointed – Crown Ruined and No Follow-Up

I went to this office back in January 2025, and it was the worst dental experience I’ve ever had. I was there for over six or seven hours, paid upfront, and left with a damaged crown. The dentist completely shaved down one of my teeth, leaving it flat and without any grooves or natural shape. It feels and looks wrong, and it’s been that way ever since.

What makes this even more disappointing is that I originally chose this office because of my previous dentist, Dr. Amanda Elper, who was absolutely amazing. She provided great care and made me trust this practice — but the experience this time was the complete opposite.

Since January, I’ve called the office every week trying to get help. I’ve spoken to Ashlee, the dental hygienist, who was kind and honest but said I needed to speak with the manager, Emmy. Despite leaving multiple messages and being told I’d get a call back, no one ever called me. I decided to call one last time before seeking legal action and When I finally reached Emmy directly, she seemed disinterested and rushed, told me it wasn’t a good time to talk, and promised to call me back — but she never did.

At this point, I do not want anyone from this office touching my tooth again. I simply want a full refund for the crown that was ruined, not for any of the other teeth, just the one that was damaged by the dentist’s work.

This has been an incredibly frustrating experience, and I wouldn’t recommend this office to anyone based on how poorly they’ve handled the situation and their complete lack of follow-up.

I had a major tooth pain and needed to see a Dentist. Came across *Dentists of Spring Valley* and everyone there was very kind. Specifically I want to give a shoutout to ASHLEE ! She was caring and professional and explained step-by-step for my deep cleaning. I was terrified from the shots in my mouth (4-QUADRANTS), but she helped me to be calm and have less anxiety. She LITERALLY went the whole 9:YARDS leaving me complimenting for her work and extra steps to help my tooth pain feel better and lessen my fear of a Dentist. Her assistant Gaven was a great help. He answered all my questions and cool dude to chat up in the office while getting work done. I have definitely found my Primary Dentist in Nevada ^^ ! Keep up the great work.
