I have been a patient at this practice for 5–6 years, and honestly, if it were not for Rachel Smith, I likely would have stopped coming long ago. The wait times have become completely unreasonable. During my most recent visit, I watched and listened as three patients who checked in after meβ€”including one walk-inβ€”were seen before me.

I was there solely for a single NAD+ injection, which does not require a doctor visit. After waiting far too long, I had to leave to return to work and never received my shot or a refund.

The office manager, Maria, stated she would call me back after looking into why my appointments are so often impacted by excessive wait times. Unfortunately, I never received a call, a refund, or any effort to make this rightβ€”such as offering complimentary NAD+ treatments to compensate for the repeated loss of my time and gas.

I've lost 25 pounds on the Semaglutide diet, it has made a world of difference on my health. The support you get from this office is top notch. The girls are so nice, Paris and all the other girls that give injections are so supportive. Rachel and Alexandra are top notch doctors that give you all the information you need to be successful. They give you monthly analysis to follow. So far so good. I love my WLP.

Called today to make an appointment and they told me that they won’t accept my Aetna PPO insurance since I am a new patient. I explained to the receptionist that I am not a new patient. I have been to this practice multiple times in the last 4-5 years and have used my Aetna insurance. Aetna insurance is also listed on their website under the insurances that they take. The receptionist didn’t care and just told me that it is their policy. I asked to speak to a manager and she told me that there wasn’t one available. I asked for a call from the manager on Monday. This is horrible service. I am sick and can’t even visit my doctor when I am a current patient. What kind of practice is this? My Dad is a physician in another state and is appalled that this is how they treat their patients. I hope the manager makes this right on Monday.
Update- manager never called me like they committed to doing. I highly recommend that if you are looking for a good doctor, go elsewhere.

Wonderful doctor's or Physician's assistance Dr Josh helped diagnose things on Windows looked for and gave us the right medication Dr Rachel helped my husband and I also they are very good and the nicest thing about this place is they get you in as soon as they can when you have a serious problem the doctors that are close to our house have a month late and you can't see the same doctor but here they really care and they really get you in to see someone. We have also sent family members there.

I feel bad giving this rating, because the medical care I've received here has been very good, and I do appreciate that it's very easy to quickly schedule an appointment if I need something.

But every time I've needed a referral to a specialist, the staff sends it incorrectly, and I spend months(!) trying to get them on the phone to fix it.

This has happened four times over the past 3 years, which is unacceptable.

I verified with my insurance before getting there that it wouldn’t be an issue, but clearly the front desk staff don’t know what they’re doing. another patient had waited over an hour with no actual visit. they put off a very unprofessional and unorganized setting which is not what I want for my healthcare.

About 18 months back the changed the way they do the billing leaving me on the hook for several thousand dollars when the insurance kicked it back. Almost six months after the fact I get back billed for thousands. Not a trustworthy or professional office.

The 2 doctors have seen here are awesome, and the staff is friendly but the office needs to do a WAY better job of managing the appointment volume and timing. I waited 90 minutes AFTER my appointment time to see my wonderful doc who was frazzled from being yelled at all day by her patients. If you are a new patient make sure you have at least 2 hours to see your doctor, or book at the Jones location as they are managing appointments way better.

Our primary care stopped taking our insurance and notified me the Friday before my Monday doctors appointment. What a hassle. Luckily I found this place! I was able to get in as a new patient fairly quickly compared to other places. I had a wonderful experience here! From the front desk staff to the actual doctors visit. All the medical personnel was very thorough and seemed to genuinely care. I saw Sandy Henemyer- APRN, FNP-C. She was very kind. She listened to me and actually heard me. She was very thorough and addressed all of my concerns. My husband also has had a wonderful experience with Rachel Smith- PA-C. Thank you Family Doctors Medical Center!

I was very happy at this office for a while. I really like the Drs and PAs, Rachel, Josh. Tynara, Iesha...all have been great. What is not so great is never being able to get a call answered. Like ever! Also, waiting 45 min to over an hour on some days is unacceptable. husband went today and waited an hour for a 5 min visit. Saddened that I am now looking for another GP for us. Honestly, if they are short staffed, they need to stop accepting new patients and scheldue accordingly.

NP’s and PA’s are nice for the most part. The front office and scheduling are also nice, but slow to respond to patients. Nice does not cut it when people need medical care and appropriate orders sent for follow up care. This office was called 3 times with explicit instructions on how the order needed to be written (this last go around) and to fix the order for me so I could make my scheduled appointment. I also messaged them with the same instructions 3 times and it still didn’t get done correctly. This is now causing a delay in my healthcare and finally fed up. Had to reschedule the appointment 3 times now. Switching primary cares to a whole new group. This is not just me who has said issues, my co-workers do as well. I’m done!

The Dr’s I’ve seen at this location have provided great care. Iesha & Josh have both listened to my primary concerns and asked insightful questions to dig to underlying problems.

The reason for the low rating is my interactions with the front desk and the Billing Dept. The front desk is difficult to reach. The ladies in the Billing Dept are rarely present to address the multiple times I’ve had incorrect coding sent to my Insurance.

On multiple occasions I’ve had claims denied due to incorrect or insufficient information being sent to my insurance. With the difficulty in getting through to the front desk I’ve taken on the role of part time billing agent making calls between providers and insurance to get claims covered.

I’m new to LAS and was warned about this level of service by multiple people. I do not recommend Family Dr Medical Center.

Basically impossible to get an appointment you wait on the phone for half an hour or more or they don't answer at all. I paid for allergy and shots which I did for 6 months and then they fired the allergy shot technician but never said sorry or we will reimburse you or any acknowledgement they made a mistake. The PAs are good but they have had a high turnover with the nurses and the front office staff. When you call you can't speak to a live person and when you leave messages it takes them over 4 days for them to call you back. Then when I try to access my information on the patient portal it's not correct and when I tried to make an appointment on here there are glitches. Then most recently. I waited over an hour for my appointment. The owner , Dr Ram is hardly ever in the office anymore. This place has definitely gone downhill.

No issues for years, but now requires upfront payment above what ends up being the patient responsibility on explanation of benefits. When questioned about this - only receive a "not my problem" attitude back from the front desk. Might be well and good if you reach your deductible, but I'd avoid this place if you're healthy.

The app / website also has issues; my doctor / history hasn't been correct for years and appointments are changed without my consent or being notified until a few days before but I was always willing to look past those things for fair service - which I don't feel like I'm receiving any longer.

The doctors and PA are really good, however, the front desk lacks communication!! I have called several times, texted and left so many messages NOBODY has called me back and now I have to go out of my way to go up there just to get my question answered. I can’t give a review on the staff but what I can say is that my dad called twice a couple days apart and left messages both times and his calls were never returned. This is the first impression a client has when looking for a physician and as of now, it’s not a good one. I wish I didn’t need to leave a star rating because to write a review but that’s not an option. I’m sorry they didn’t contact him because your doctors, PA and nurses seem to get high ratings.

I saw the reviews of this practice and was really hoping to experience the care everyone else had. I scheduled online as they were closed on Memorial Day. Got a confirmation print out and everything. I arrive at my appointment only to be told that they don’t take my insurance...I scheduled this appointment TWO weeks ago and they didn’t even bother to call and inform me. I asked why they didn’t call to let me know and they blamed it on their system saying it was β€œglitchy”. Well you either need to learn better customer service or β€œget a better system” because either way it severely inconvenienced me as I had to take off work for this appointment. Hastle for nothing.

I have mixed feelings about them. I love my doctor here, Dr. Templar, he actually legitimately seems to care, which I cannot say from a lot of medical professionals. But when you come with a previously scheduled appointment to do bloodwork they make you wait forever (between 40 mins to an hour and a half in my experience, and that'sonly for bloodwork), they have to be more realistic when setting up appointments.

Rachel is by far one of the best medical professionals I have ever had. Her bedside manner is patient, kind and caring. I was misdiagnosed, followed direction to see psychiatrist, whose office denied me care, stating at first I was too old , then saying dr. Couldn’t take me because of a drug I was on. I said I would stop the drug , I begged for help several times. Was coldly given another referral. I didn’t sleep for 10 days, was unable to eat. Then I was given the drug Seraquell by Joshua Smith. I saw a well known Psychiatrist, knows pharmacology, does forensic psychiatry,teaches and much more. I thankfully did not touch the drug. I was told that drug is pure antihistamine. It would have pushed me over the edge! Dr. Gregory Brown was appalled by the treatment I had received. It was also alluded by Joshua Smith that I was going to overdose on my Norco. That possibly I was a drug addict. I brought all my medications to dr. Brown and I was well within my limits of the norco. One Tablet every 6 hours. Then most recently I got my statement from Medicare. July 1.2020 was my first new patient visit with Selena Henderson NP. On my statement after new patient visit was listed
Psychological testing, etc
Not only did I not have knowledge if this (am in the process of taking it up with Medicare. Ms Henderson is Not qualified to give such a test. There is so much more, yet I can only say DO NOT GO THERE. I am still suffering the after effects of basically a nervous breakdown brought on by the withdrawal of a drug I had been on for 15 years.Joshua Smith denied that that is what it was. Symptoms were classic by the book. I suffered needlessly for 10 days. Do your research. I was new to the area from out of state and had googled them! Many reviews are not good .

I usually don’t give reviews.. but however the admin that answered the phone needs to get retrained on how to answer the phone. She was rude from the start.. also took I called several times no answer, I reached a voicemail and never received a call back. I also asked about my insurance once I called again and her tone was so rude she mentioned they don’t accept it well lucky you I also have another insurance that you do accept. But I will not go their. Just lost a customer thanks for nothing.

They don’t respond to refill requests. I had called in for a refill with 10 days of meds left. CVS requested the refills twice, and when they did not hear back, I called twice and left messages about needing a refill. They never called me back. I finally called the front desk instead of the nurse and explained my frustration. The receptionist spoke with the nurse and came back and told me that they would not give me a refill. She said I had to come in again! This would have been the third month in a row that the doctor requested me to come in for a refill! Ridiculous! Felt like a money grab! I told her I would just go without them and would be finding another doctor!

I don’t want to come to your office and I don’t want to pay the same amount for a Televised Doctor visit as an in person visit! I’m angry that you are forcing me to come in or do a tele visit for Blood pressure medicine you prescribed that I have been on for over a year! Had an appointment for 10am and got checked in by front desk. Staff did not inform X-ray tech that I was there so I Sat for an hr or so before I stood up and asked when they would be seeing me, nobody seemed to even know what was going on and scrambled to let the X-ray tech know I was there. Defeats the purpose of an appointment when they do not acknowledge you being there, X-ray tech did his best to make it a quick experience sense he could tell I was upset if not I would have gave 0 stars if I could.Hopefully my next appointment will actually go smooth.

I have never gone to the actual facility however I do work with the staff because my attorney recommends our clients to this place. However when it comes to customer service they clearly don't have any background on that. Most of the girls I spoke to sound like they hate their job. Just a thought if you hate your job find another one because you need to have people skills if you work doctors.

I am new to Las Vegas and saw this office pop up as the first choice, but as I read these reviews that We’re posted in a month time and how horrible they are. Yikes! I sure hope this doctor who is only there once a week reads these and is as taken back as I am who has never even been to this place. Due to these bad reviews I am not even going to call. I booked an appointment online over two weeks ago . Because they state its EASIER to book online. NO ONE ever called to confirm. It's hard to call because they dont answer their phones. Once they finally answered she said they dont accept our insurance the day of my appointment . WHY DIDNT ANYONE CALL TO LET ME KNOW . What a TRASH "Doctors office" saying she doesnt know why anyone didnt call . HORRIBLE PLACE I tried despite all the bad reviews. DONT GO HERE ALL BAD REVIEWS ARE ACCURATE.

I have been going her for over 5 years. I was first referred to Dr. Ram, by my attorney. Dr. Ram, has always been great, but now he only comes in once a week on Thursdays. Since this has happened the customer service and care of patients have gone down dramatically. I love his PA Josh Smith, but the others are not very caring at all. His front desk staff has had turn over and the current girl is very disrespectful and nasty. She is very rude and has no empathy at all. She needs to find a new line of work. My wife also goes here and is very displeased. I hope Dr. Ram gets these reviews and counsels his staff, because they are making this place like a meat market, they treat you like a number and a person.

I have been going to this practice for over 5 years. Being in the medical field I can say the customer service is non existent. There are no options for patients for walk in or call backs for canceled appointments. I have called several times and no one even answers. This is not how this office use to be at all. Dr Ramm is only in that office now once a week. Thursday’s I’m sure run smooth but as for the rest of the week it’s a sad excuse. Please put someone at the front desk that is knowledgeable and kind. It’s not that difficult.
As for the new APNs they are excellent providers that you can tell take pride and have ethical standards.
There has to be a better way to fit in a patient that was seen in the ER and needs quick follow up, the answer of no just keep calling back does not work.

Wanted to schedule an appointment. She was very unfriendly and rude. Told me I had to call my insurance company. She was just too lazy to do it. She should not be in customer service at all. She told me I had to pay out of pocket since she never heard of my insurance company. I finally told her never mind I will go somewhere else where the people aren't rude. She hung up on me. Husband returned after not being able to get an appointment for 2 months. Just returned in May this year. Filled out all there paperwork including emergency notification. They have only paperwork from 2017, but do have courent insurance cards. Office staff said we just work here. Not our problem. Nice to know they could care less. This is not a reflection on the rest of the staff.

HORRIBLE . I have been here 3 times now and every time I'm here on time or before and I'm stuck in waiting room forever and once called to the back I'm stuck in the room for over an hour . The staff is RUDE and they don't seem to care for patients . My appointment was at 4:30 I arrived at 4:20 and had to wait untill 5:12 to be called back and once in back I didn't get seen until 5:55 . And was only seen for 10 minutes and that was it . NEVER COMING BACK . Ended up leaving at 6:15 for a 4:30 appointment .

What a horrible doctor's office. They advertise walk ins, but they don't see you when you walk in!!!

I moved to Las Vegas in 2003. My wife and I go Family Doctors of Green Valley since they accept my teacher insurance, Teachers Health Trust.

This has been my only doctors office since moving to Las Vegas because I have only gone to the doctor once or twice in that past sixteen years. I only make a doctor visit if it is serious. Well, I needed to see a doctor today 8/23/19. So, I just got back from going there at approximately 4:15 as a walk in. The waiting room was empty but still they did not see me as a walk in patient because no one was available to see me!

Don't bother with this place! What a disappointment!!!

I appreciated the fact that they send you reminder texts, I showed up 30 minutes prior to my appointment as a courtesy and they still attended to me early. My appointment was super quick and easy. The nurse was super gentle when applying the B-12 shot in my glute. I was expecting a pinch but I didn't feel a thing! I'm currently seeing Dr. Rachel Smith for the weight loss program. She's super nice and informative about the weight loss program, she explained the details of the weight loss plan, diet, and what the prescription is for, she'll definitely answer any questions or concerns you may have about the program. I appreciate that they print you out your scheduled appointments for the weekly B-12 shots you have to take for the program. Also they will give you a coupon to use at certain pharmacies for the prescription they give you. I went to the Well Care Pharmacy they recommended and the prescription was only $20 cash and I only had to wait like 5-10 minutes. The pharmacy also delivers to ANY side of town. Doesn't matter how far. They were also super helpful and informative about the prescription. Overall a great experience. Looking forward to seeing some weight loss results. I'll most likely do a 3 month plan with them for better results.

I spoke to front desk manager in hopes of seeing changes prior to writing a review. My complaints included a P.A who lacks giving patients undivided attention and makes one feel like she is in a hurry. Front desk is very unprofessional about being discrete. Patient confidentiality is conpromised as one can hear conversations from the waiting room. Billing is a huge issue. I just received a statement today 5-22-19 from services in April 2018. After calling to clarify, it was acknowledged that they are "cleaning-up" as was said to me by the manager I spoke to one year ago. It was not the first billing issue btw. I am very dissapointed in the administration of this facility. Two other patients and I have all left this clinic for the same reasons of poor management. I must say, there are very few professional and friendly staff. For them only, I give this clinic 2 stars.

The front office staff stinks. They take 15 min or more to answer a phone call. The front office staff has no clue what their doing. The front office also calls u when you've already canceled an appointment through their online service. I have told them this countless times. But they just ignore me. I like Dr Joshua Smith. He is knowledgeable and caring. I like that they have a lab here. But the doctors never discuss lab fees, insurance. So u end up paying hundreds of dollars in lab fees. I do love the allergy dept here, they are lovely. I just wish the rest of the office was the same way.

I called this morning because I had a fever overnight and still felt ill so I wanted to reschedule. I was told I'd have to pay a $25 cancellation fee for not canceling 24 hours in advance. When I explained that it happened aroud 6pm so even if I called then it would've been less than 24 hours. Who predicts a fever, cold, flu or any medical condition (isn't that the reason for emergency visits because you don't know when you'll fall ill)?. You'd think a DOCTOR'S office would be understanding. I came in and even the person I dealt with could visibly tell I was ill. Your policy needs to be revised to take into account for emergencies like these.

The front office staff is not knowledgeable and are rude. I loved the doctors, just wish they would change their front office staff. When I first became a patient last year, they tried charging me a co pay when my insurance card says no co pay for primary care doctors. I informed the ladies in the front and they were like " Oh ok". So basically if I didn't know they would have charged me a co pay that I didn't need to pay. They were very unorganized as well, I would request a certain doctor and book me with another. My husband went earlier this year and tried using our insurance UMR, the office staff told us you guys have to meet a deductible of $500 before your insurance will cover 85% and anything you pay out of pocket will go towards that deductible. She also assured us that they were in network with our insurance. We said ok and payed around $95 and she said that money that we will pay out of pocket will go toward our deductible. We payed, saw the doctor and that was it.
Over a month passes, we get a bill for $300 for the blood work he got. We call our insurance to ask why we got this bill, and our insurance informs us that they are not in network with those doctors and that the office staff should have informed us. Office staff never told us we were out of network with them and even assured us that we were in network with them. So basically we will have to pay $400 to Family Doctors of Green Valley as if we didn't have insurance and it wont go towards our deductible. If the office staff knew what they were doing and just informed us like any other practice would we would have gone else where. The doctors are really knowledge and great, but the staff is really just the worst. Been reading other comments and other people have gone through this as well.

These were the most uniformed, rude, ignorant office women I've ever dealt with. Two hours of nonsense saying that they didn't take my insurance. Finally my insurance provider representative called them on a conference call with me on the line. Turns out they DO accept my insurance. Nevada Prefered. They just wouldn't listen to anything I said after I mentioned Blue Cross,Blue Sheild(a subtitle on my insurance card), so when I said Nevada preferred they didn't even hear me. So rude and dismissive and I am sick, you see. I understand insurance is very important, but using what little bit of power you have as meager office receptionist to make a sick girl feel bad is unexcusable. Finally, no appointments until January because, and I quote, "my staff is busy in meetings all day tomorrow." Her staff? I doubt she even went to college. Time I will never get back.

Office staff is by far the worst. They sent lab work to an out of network lab that my insurance doesn't support. Now I have to pay the extremely high price because they are too lazy to check my insurance. I can never get a hold of the billing department. They put me in the go around saying its not my job. Some of the rooms that you go into have banged up walls and nasty floor boards, makes it feel unsanitary. Could not give a zero star rating, but would if I could.
