The above review came after my initial visit for a root canal it went great. I returned a few weeks later for a crown and had the absolute worst experience. I was in the chair for hours; the dentist appeared to be alternating between me and another patient. I had to be numbed multiple times; he referred to going to get Margaritas after work to the hygienist while working in my mouth. When I left, my face was naturally numb; I expected it to wear off within a few hours, and for the most part it did. The next morning, I had a rash in my mouth that lasted a few days; the numbness and swelling in my cheek lasted about three weeks. I attempted to reach out to their offices the following day, called, but was placed on hold, so I sent a message through their secure website and got no response. I eventually went back to my previous dentist out of pocket to see why I was still experiencing pain in my tooth, numbness and swelling in my cheek, and bleeding from the tooth. And I do have photos and video with timestamps.

1 star. Had a 2pm appointment for a cleaning and X-ray exam. Didn’t get started until 2:20, then waited another 15 minutes in the chair before a dentist even looked at the X-rays. Staff seemed overwhelmed the whole time.

After the X-ray review, I was told I wasn’t guaranteed to get my cleaning done that day, after already being there an hour and a half. They did end up doing it, but I didn’t leave until 4:30, so what should’ve been a simple cleaning and X-ray took 2.5 hours.

The cleaning itself wasn’t great either. I could still see black in the grooves of my left molar, before and after. Compared it myself in the mirror.

Worst dental office I’ve been to in 30 years of going to the dentist. Won’t be back.

There dentist told me my tooth that Broke on the side of my mouth needed to be pulled the , well i was there a year prior and wanted my very back tooth pulled they said they dont do that so I did a root canal and a crown over 3000 dollars. This time im told oh we pull teeth. Well I left went to Christinson dental and she said you just need a crown and saved my tooth. They are more about money. Plus they never have the same dentist so I think they are all fresh out of school

One more time for her outstanding service..during the last week I had 2 appointments with her , each for over 6 hours! To replace 4 crowns and to redo one filling. These procedures were tricky and required expert technical skill and decision making. I am highly satisfying with the final results! Also I want to thank Sharlene Libao, your hygienist for again providing superb service .

I am now moving permanently to Reno, NV and need to find a new dentist. While I doubt anyone will be as great as Dr Yip has been for me the last 6 years , I Thank you for assuring me you can forward my dental records to my next dentist.

While traveling out of state, my top front tooth (#9) broke off when I bit into a piece of hard cheese! Dr Mandy Yip was able to organize 3 emergency appts right after I flew back to LAS. 1. The day after my return (Friday2/20)she rearranged her schedule to do an exam and xrays, and decided on course of action (which thankfully was NOT an implant or bridge). She spent several hours doing an temporary retainer containing my broken tooth (6 hrs) 2. She kindly arranged emergency root canal at an endodontist near by (Dr Nguyen at Dentists of WestHenderson (less than 45 mins) on the Saturday 2/21. 3. Then she rearranged her entire busy Monday schedule to do create the post, and a new crown (another 6 hrs). I am very happy with the end result!

Dr Yip is not only a highly skilled dentist, she has a superb professional work ethic" (always looking out for her patients, with a conservative approach as to what is best for them, including affordability options), she is also highly responsive. In the 6 years I've been going to her, I can honestly say, she has been the best dentist I've ever had. I totally trust her expert opinion and decision making.

I’m very happy with this dentist, everything is up to date and has all the newest procedures to that helps to achieve a very good experience with the customer.
The only thing I’m not 100 percent sold on is having to pay for a deep cleanly instead of just a normal cleaning. I think it’s all great it’s just very expensive and I feel like it should be an option not a requirement. Otherwise I can’t recommend this dentist enough.

I had booked a cleaning & a consultation for my wisdom teeth. Not only was I not seen until 45 minutes after my appointment time, they didn’t even clean my teeth! The organization is lacking there. If I book an appointment, I expect only a 10-15 minute wait. My appointment was at 11:15 & I didn’t get to see my dentist until almost 1pm. To quote the business owner, Cody Mugleston (directly from the business' website): "I will treat you like family, and I am empathetic with your concerns. When you leave, I want you to feel like you had the perfect patient experience."

I'd give zero stars if I could. My wife went in for a broken tooth, she has no pain and no sign of infection. Cody Mugleston (I won't show him the respect of calling him doctor with how he treated my wife), came in to treat my wife after they left her sit in the lobby for 45+ minutes past her scheduled appointment. She just came home crying with how she was talked to.

She had x-rays completed and was told she would need a crown. After expressing an issue with the price (we do not have insurance, and $2,500+ is a significant price), his attitude shifted to being condescending. Once she brought up wanting a filling instead of a crown, she magically was told she had an infection/abscess (one that was "missed" when the x-rays were taken earlier in the appointment) and now she needed a root canal. Sounds like a good money-grab to scare people into treatment.

There was no empathy for my wife's concern, just condescension and fear-mongering while making her feel small. We will ever be back to this office, or the other 5 owned by Cody.

This place will try to get you to do unnecessary dental work.
First time here, they said I needed gum mapping and went through with the service. Six months later, the dentist said I might need gum mapping again. The periodontist saw that I had the work done six months ago and said it's not needed. Third time here, another six months went by, yet another dentist said I need root-canal and a crown because of a cavity. I am not sure how I went from no cavities six months prior to needed a root-canal and a crown. The office manager provided the quote with two different prices while billing on the same medical code. I decided to get my xrays and asked for a second and third opinion from other dentists. Both of the dentists said they don't see any cavity and there is no need for a root-canal or anything. Furthermore, one of the dentist told me that it is illegal for dental office to charge me more than what they are contracted with my insurance and definitely can't charge me different copays on the same medical code.
Also to clarify, the billing applies to Dentist at St. Rose since they are an in-network PPO provided through my insurance.
Stay away.
I got a new dentist every time I go to this office because of the crazy turnovers.

I *hate* going to the dentist, I have had a lot of bad experiences over the years and I know how hard it is to find a dentist that you can trust to do good work and make you feel comfortable.

I just had the best experience ever with Paul Gutierrez replacing an old crown I had and doing some minor cavity work. He made sure I was comfortable and not in any pain before starting, and my new crown fits great. The tooth pain I was starting to get from the cavity is entirely gone and I feel so much more comfortable!

I would like to start off and say Dr. Cody Mugleston is a great dentist, very knowledgeable and makes procedures quick and painless . However is staff is a nightmare to deal with, they are very rude and unprofessional and could care less how they treat and speak to you. My husband and I had appointments scheduled for tomorrow and they decided to wait till the last minute to call and let us know that the appointments were booked incorrectly and that they had to go ahead and cancel . These appointments were booked three weeks ago and they waited till the last minute to call and let us know . When I asked why did they wait to the last minute the receptionist wouldn’t give me a straight answer ,all she responded with was the reason is not important. Let’s just get to a solution.How is that an appropriate response? I still currently need work done and so does my husband but we will be seeking a different dentist just so we don’t ever have to deal with his staff again.

Twice I canceled appointments on their website system, and twice I was reminded the day of the appointment to show up. One of them was marked as a no-show. Why do you have an online option to cancel if no one records that information? The system they are using clearly has some flaws.

My husband called to cancel his appointment and was told he didn't have one. Sorry to say we are finding a new dental office after that last straw.

This was my first time there and everyone was very kind and polite! Check in was quick with Star and Kim. They answered all my questions and concerns. Didn’t wait long to get started ! The dental assistant was professional and patient especially with having my infant with me.
Dr. Gutierrez was personable, thorough, and succinct. My hygienist Minh, I can’t thank enough for her flexibility and understanding during my appointment.

Dentists of St. Rose and Dr. Paul Gutierrez, and tech Adrian, are amazing. The office is immaculate and has all the high tech equipment. Crowns can even be made in house same day. No more waiting. The staff is courteous and friendly. I didn't have to wait more than five minutes for my appointment. If you have kids, there is a children's facility attached. The office is huge, although you wouldn't know it from outside the building. Truly, I cannot say enough about every member of the staff and how helpful they were going through my insurance, making sure I had the right options for myself and making sure I was comfortable on my visit. Thank you Dentists of St. Rose!

It is always hit and miss with this dentist. There have been times where the cleanings were great, but then other times where they were terrible. They have a very high turnover rate, so you never know if the person doing your dental work takes pride in their work or not. I'll be taking my business elsewhere because of this.

my husband had a tooth extracted today at 2 PM. They asked him what pharmacy he would like to use. he gave them the address and the phone number, and asked me to pick up the prescription on my way home from work. after sitting in line for 45 minutes at Walgreens, I was told that they didn’t have a prescription for my husband. The office closes at 4 PM, so I got a hold of the night nurse. She tried to get a hold of Of someone to help me, but apparently emergency doesn’t mean emergency there. My husband’s pain level was at a 10.
Who the hell does surgery on somebody and doesn’t send their prescription over to the pharmacy? I mean, is that even legal? This is not a place to go if you are scared of the dentist. They may just do surgery on your mouth and give you no pain meds

Was told my son (8) needed extensive dental work and they would only do so under general anesthesia (who is an independent contractor, charges $600 an hour, and they only book 2 hour appointments for that dr), then was told we cant know the extent of the work needed till he was asleep. When asked what would happen if we refused general anesthesia we were told “we can just hold him down while do the work”… went to another dentist, was told general anesthesia was NOT necessary because my son was not a nervous patient/bite risk, and they told me EVERYTHING they were going to do right then and there…. Bit shady they wanted to do $1800+ work on top of the $1200 for the anesthesia…. FOR AN 8 YEAR OLD.

Amazing doctors and staff! Everyone was truly committed to providing the best experience possible. As soon as I walked in, I was promptly helped by the person at the reception desk and quickly called by one of the assistants for X-rays, including a 360° panoramic scan of my mouth, which I had never seen done anywhere else. Then Minh, the hygienist, came for an initial assessment, immediately followed by Dr. Mugleston, who provided comprehensive feedback on all the exams and explained the necessary next steps. Before moving forward, Kim came in and sat down with me and reviewed all the financial and insurance details in the most transparent way possible, so I knew exactly what was being done and at what cost. I agreed to the plan, and she even found an immediate opening in Minh's schedule for my deep cleaning, which I was able to have done during that same visit. Now I’m scheduled to come back for my crown next week. It couldn’t have been easier! Kudos to the whole team!

Awesome experience! I’ve been going to Dentist of St. Rose for about a year now and although I’ve always had a pleasant experience, today was exceptional. Dr. Mugleston was running a little behind but nothing excessive. I must admit before I came in, I did try to cancel last minute, but thankfully was convinced to come in because of the pain I was in. The appointment was for a crown and simply because he was a was a little tardy, the doctor upgraded me to a much stronger in house crown that comes with a 5 year warranty. Needless to say, I couldn’t appreciate it more!

Went in for the new patient special. Was told everything looked good but then when i refused the $3000 deep cleaning I was told I needed it because I suddenly had infections and disease and it was illegal for them to do a normal cleaning. So I was escorted to the front and told to have a nice day. Meanwhile my wife did the exact same thing 2 weeks ago, refused the deep cleaning and they cleaned her teeth anyway... I called them and they said that must have been a special one time deal for her 🤔 I didnt like the sales pitches and push for spending thousands of dollars on something when i was told the whole time that my teeth looked great and had no cavities.

Go see Hershey!!! She is incredibly gentle and very kind. I absolutely hate dentist and had not seen anyone in years, from the first phone call - to a root canal, this place has made me feel so welcome and comfortable. I work for a 5 star property so my standards are a tad high. They are very upfront with what insurance covers and what is out of pocket and work with you on treatments that are necessary or just a good idea for preventative. They are genuinely passionate about their careers and the facility is very clean, I love that I stumbled across them. No matter who your interacting with from front desk, surgeons, or the tec, everyone is just so nice. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a good office, but specifically ask for Hershey, I assure you, you won’t regret it.

In for my second side of my full mouth tooth cleaning today; the whole experience was awesome. Minh was very professional and made my trip to the dentist / hygienist great. No pain , quick and easy! I now leave eager for my check up in a few months . You get lots of information on ways to help yourself. I’m very happy and hope others will make this their family or individual dentist / hygienist spot for all their needs!! Minh 10 out of stars!! 07/25/24 - Update: Dr. Mugleston and Adrian are legit the best ppl to take care of your oral hygiene. The treatment quality and attention to detail are out of this world. This practice is a nearly perfect operation, from regular dental needs to Endo to Ortho... even the ladies at the reception are kind and caring, shout out Starr, Allison & the blonde young lady (super sweet and kind). These guys are phenomenal at what they do. I'm even convincing the missus to stop seeing her childhood dentist and will be bringing her to Dentists of St. Rose. Best practice in town hands down!

I've been afraid of the dentist my entire life. I avoided it for over 10 years. The last dentist I went to told me I had 6 cavities. I'm SO glad I went to Cory Mugleston for a second opinion. I had one cavity! I almost let someone drill into my healthy teeth. I can easily say that Dentists of St. Rose is the only place I will go and the only place I will recommend. The entire front staff and back staff were welcoming and explained everything they are doing, which is always a great deal of info. Be honest. It can be confusing. A lot of information coming your way. Cory Mugleston is the first dentist I've met who really takes time to make eye contact and really talk to you. He takes great pride in what he does and makes you feel like you're important when you're there. My hygienist HerShe is the best. She was so fast and very gentle. She explained everything being done. I have to go back for more cleaning and I don't mind one bit. Thank you again to the front office ladies. The check-in and check-out procedures were painless. The financing explanations were clear explained in great detail so I would understand everything. You've really made a believer in me about great dental care being possible. Thank you!

I had my first appointment with Dr. Romero today after a really bad experience with another dental office that bought my dentist office of 10 years. I must say that by far this has been the best dentist experience I have ever had. I get very nervous with injections and usually my blood pressure drops and I tend to pass out. Dr. Romero asked me how I was with injections and I explained my situation. Dr. Romero was so gentle and delicate that I barely felt anything. She massaged as the anesthesia went in and that made such a big difference. She explained everything as she was doing it which made me feel like nothing was a surprise. I really recommend Dr. Romero for anyone who is highly nervous around dental work. I have literally walked out several times of dental offices with anesthesia in my mouth because I didn’t feel comfortable with the dentist.

I am new to the state and came here to establish a new dental provider. I have always been consistent with teeth cleaning prior to this. On the day of my appointment, I did not get called back until a half hour after my scheduled appointment time, which was frustrating because I did spend the time prior to my appointment completing all paperwork.
Once Dr. Chau did my evaluation, she told me that I needed a deep cleaning on 3 quadrants plus I had a cavity. I have not ever had a cavity in my whole life. The cost of this would be nearly $750 out of my own pocket. I felt very shocked considering I had not been recommended for a deep cleaning for more than 10 years and have been very consistent with cleanings every 6 months.
I was told my Dr. Chau that it would go against her license to give me anything other than a deep cleaning.
I got a second opinion today from another dental office and did NOT have a cavity and did NOT need a deep cleaning. Beware of this office telling you that you need services not needed as a new patient. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
The only positive I can say is that the front office manager was very kind considering my response to what they were recommending. They gave me my ex-rays so I could take them for the second opinion I got. I spent a total of 2 hours at this appointment at Saint Rose Dental and did not even have anything done because I felt that they were trying to make me pay for services that were not necessary.

I was a new patient coming in for a check up they were able to fit me in the next day for both of my appointments. The office staff was extremely helpful and understanding of my financial situation and we were able to negotiate cost so I could get the care I needed. Dr.chow worked quickly for my fillings and Hershey the hygienist was super helpful with explaining hygiene health and the methods I should be taking to help my gums. It's rare that I have such a good experience somewhere that I need to write a review. First, I called to make an appointment for a cleaning and they were able to get me in the next day. That's almost unheard of! The last place I was looking at going to was 3 months out. Second, the office staff is incredibly friendly and professional. I felt like they genuinely cared and were easy to talk to. Once I received my X-rays, my Doctor's was very informative and explained everything to me. She made sure I understood my treatment plan and why. Everyone answered all of my questions and i was able to come back the next day for my cleaning. I was able to get in with Hershe even though the original hygienist went home sick and I'm glad I did. she was very personable and friendly.
