My wife, Rita, went from TED to Graves Disease. She was as extremely sensitive to light and always had to wear dark/blackout glasses when out running errands.
She isolated herself, wouldn’t go out to restaurants because she didn’t want to have to leave her dark glasses on. Her eyes were always red, very noticeable, and constantly burning.
She was miserable for about a couple of years. Dr. Leibowitz introduced her to Tepezza and has been her life saver, if you will.

Dr. Leibowitz and team took great care of my 7 month old who was having a dermoid cyst on his eyebrow removed. From the consultation, Dr. Leibowitz was honest with us about the procedure and what to expect.
He also expressed a great deal of sympathy which reassured us, especially since we were so nervous about our 7 month old needing to be put under anesthesia. After the procedure, he broke down what he did and what to expect healing-wise the next few weeks. He even went as far to provide his cellphone number so we could text him images of our baby when we were concerned about the swelling. A month after the procedure, the scar is hardly noticeable. He then refused to do the procedure or refund my money because it took me too long to book. That's right - he just kept they money and provided no service. I had very droopy eyelids that made me look tired all the time. Beyond that I had a 20% reduction in my top peripheral vision. Dr. L performed the surgery in Las Vegas and it was fast and painless. Dr. L has been my doctor now for almost 3 years (as those of you know TED is not cured overnight) the first course of action for Dr. L is not to just go for surgery, he wants to always attempt other methods first with surgery as a last resort. Wow! I have to say that after the surgery everything was much brighter. I took a selfie getting ready for the surgery and the next week and two weeks later I took selfies. What a difference! I had such an overwhelming positive experience at Dr. Leibowitz's office. He's very personable, takes his time with each patient, and gets to know you on a personal level which is so refreshing these days. I came to Dr.Leibowitz to seek treatment for my Graves Disease. I had severe bulging eyes and he recommended Tepezza Infusion treatments. The treatment worked, it put my eyes back into sockets avoiding surgery. I was referred to Dr Leibowitz by my ophthalmologist because he felt I had basal carcinoma on my bottom eyelid. It came back positive that I did and I had to have my lower eyelid removed from the dermatologist and then Dr Leibowitz then went and reconstructed my bottom eyelid. I was referred to him with punctal stenosis. He was able to help me with an in-office procedure after the ophthalmologist was unable to complete the procedure successfully.

His staff is kind and he has a great location - medical office building on the campus of Summerlin Hospital.

Waiting room time is a little long but it’s with it because Dr Leibowitz is so attentive. He makes sure he answers every question and you do not feel rushed with him.

I’ve had red irritated, bulgy eyes, for years following a thyroidectomy and in 2020, I ended up with a retinal detachment which took my eye health journey down a rabbit hole. UNTIL I had an endocrinologist refer me to Dr. Leibowitz and finally he diagnosed me with thyroid eye disease. Dr. Leibowitz was a life saver for me. He got me the treatment I needed and performed a much needed sigmoid decompression surgery. I was born with a tumor in my right eye and I had it for 16 years! I went to doctors all over the Las Vegas valley and none of them would touch it. After wearing reading glasses for over 10 years, I am thrilled to say that just five days after surgery with Dr. Steven Leibowitz, I’m reading without glasses! The improvement in my vision is truly life-changing, and I couldn’t be happier.

Unfortunately the Dr needs to understand customer service and patient care is 1st and foremost and a priority!! On May 26th appt set for disabled veteran to have this cyst on his eye checked and treated and he’s been having it over a year and it’s gotten worse! He was referred to this place from Veterans Administration Hospital! So greatly disappointed 😔 by how Dr ignored the veteran and walked in room to get supplies and didn’t even acknowledge patient while he was on time for his appointment has been already sitting there 30 minutes and when I asked what’s going on are you going to see me and the doctor reply 😳“you should be grateful that you are here that you even got in here people like you I have three other surgeries and I may see you and I may not you would just have to sit here and wait till I’m done and then I’ll decide if I’ll treat you or not” …!!! 🤔🤔🤔 …Wow 🤯…What kind of doctor is this that is so rude and racist and have a god like attitude and treats his patient poorly!🤔 When the vet spoke up about I’m not gonna be sitting here all day long waiting for you to decide what you’re going to do or if you’re gonna do anything and then you think that you’re going to Bill VA hospital for Services not even rendered this is unprofessional unethical and it will not be tolerating. Dr. Leibowitz is fantastic. He is friendly, knowledgeable and extremely caring. He takes his time with you and explains your procedure in detail and what you can reasonably expect. He has a delightful bedside manner that will leave you feeling confident and comfortable in your decision.
Now, his staff is a very different story. If it were not for my excellent experience with Dr. Leibowitz I would have backed out of the process because I was so turned off by the office staff. I had to initiate all communication for everything, from scheduling my surgery to my follow up to making sure they received my pre-op report from my PCP. They literally waited 4 days before my surgery to confirm I was actually having surgery and again, I had to initiate that call. Even then, I wasn’t sure if or what was being covered by insurance because they don’t call for approval until a few days before. The surgery coordinators, Karen and Rosa are better than the others, but honestly, lower your expectations when dealing with the office staff and you will be fine. Just know that Dr. Leibowitz is the best and you will not be disappointed.

I’m choosing to rewrite a review about my experience with Dr. Leibowitz. Initially, I deleted my first review within a hour of it being posted a few months ago. However, with deep thought, processing the trauma I experienced and speaking with my support system I realized that was a huge mistake. Like every patient you want to believe that your doctor has your best interest at heart, and only want to care for you. That was my reasoning for deleting the review. However, this doctor has proven with his actions he has little concern for a patient if you challenge him or offend him in any way. I’d say that’s an ego issue. Bc I’m sure he’s aware in his field people Will challenge him more often than he’d like, and if someone is being punished for advocating for themselves when he’s in the wrong he’s abusing his power. Which is how I feel he treated me.

Three weeks into my recovery after this doctor removed a cyst from my eye I experienced a major complication. My eye was extremely inflamed, swollen infected and I was in a lot of pain. My eye also looked and felt worse from what he originally removed. I emailed the doctor about my frustration and rescheduling. His response was to see an “immunologist before I see him again.”This was a huge red flag, bc any good compassionate doctor would immediately show you empathy and tell you to reschedule with him. He didn’t. If anything he was trying to make it seem like my complications were not connected to the surgery he performed. I then called his office a variety of times during that time and I received no answer. I also emailed him questions that were due to my recovery, there were times he did not respond. I ended up terminating my services with him bc at this point who wouldn’t? I feel he completely neglected me as a patient and was unkind once my complications occurred.

Later, the doctor emailed me a lot of things. However, what really stood out was his defensiveness. He stated“ how could I say such negative things about him and his staff after they cared for me. The surgery he performed was excellent.” Right away I felt as though he was being manipulative, arrogant, dismissive and gaslighted my entire experience. Instead of him apologizing for my traumatic experience he defended his staff and himself. His only apology was for my “misunderstanding” not for his actions. And, quite frankly there’s no misunderstanding here.

I tried returning to see the doctor again bc my complications continued. No medication i received from another doctor helped this infected reoccurrence from stopping. When I called his office to schedule an appointment his staff advised me to email him my inquiry. (Usually, a professional business will give you their next appointment availability.) That’s not what happened in my case. I emailed him and his coordinator Andrea emailed me back stating. “The doctor stated this is a non-emergent issue. I should seek medical attention still. However, “We” feel since you terminated your services with us you should go to your doctor, or another ophthalmologist.” So, he refused to see me again, and took no accountability for his neglect and mistreatment towards me as a patient. It’s definitely non-emergent to him and her bc they’re not the ones with a huge reoccurring, inflamed cyst on their face! From the work he performed! I also spent thousands of dollars, that I could not get back.

At that point I concluded I was treated poorly and experienced medical trauma for months and still recovering from this experience up until this day. Him nor some of his staff showed concern, gave a sincere apology or empathy for my experience. I hope this review helps someone else. I do not wish this experience on anyone. Below I have included my pictures.(Also, he saw these images of my face, and still was unmoved by them.) This review is about accountability. Just because you are in a position of power does not give you the right to treat people poorly based off your mood or who they are. Try to understand this is my life you had zero respect for. He is not a good doctor.

I've had a long thyroid battle and my Thyroid eye disease has been challenging.I couldn't have done it without Dr Leibowitz. I've had 3 small left eye decompression surgeries and 1 right eye decompression surgery over the span of about 10 years.Dr. Leibowitz has been my surgeon and he's done a great job. Funny enough I found Dr. Leibowitz through a Google search when my first doctor didn’t have a specialist that could do this very specific and serious surgery that I needed. I lucked out with finding Dr. Leibowitz and his office. They got me in to the office within a business day and I was scheduled for surgery at UCLA within a month. Erika at the office was great at answering questions and helping me understand the procedure. The procedure itself went amazing thanks to Dr. Leibowitz’s skill and experience. I’ve been dealing with eye related problems for 30+ years and Dr. Leibowitz is my first choice for eye surgeons going forward. Vegas may not be known for amazing medical care but Dr. Leibowitz cared more about me and my case more than any doctor I’ve ever had elsewhere. Could not recommend him and his office enough.

I was referred to Dr. Liebowitz by my cataract surgeon. I had MOHS surgery for basal cell carcinoma on my lower eyelid. They took two slices, and it looked like a raccoon chewed on it. Dr Leibowitz performed plastic surgery to recreate an eyelid. The man is an artist. He did an amazing job, and it looks as good as new. He has a dry sense of humor, as do I, and we got along great. He was kind and caring, patiently answered my numerous questions, and gave me excellent follow up care. I was awake during parts of the surgery, and I thoroughly enjoyed the delightful banter between him and his staff. I could tell they enjoyed working together. I highly recommend Dr. Leibowitz. Oh, and he gives great fist bumps.

I flew from out of state after a referral by my ophthalmologist, and desperately wanted to like Dr Leibowitz. I've been in the medical field as a nurse and as a cancer patient for many years and understand that doctors have different personalities and that surgeons sometimes don't have the best bedside manner. I also understand that people can have bad days. However, Dr. Leibowitz didnt just have poor bedside manner, he was over the top rude, didn't look at me, barely acknowledged me and treated me as if I was a nuisance not worthy of his time. His demeanor was aggressive. He was rushing through our appointment and then with barely any explanation got two syringes and headed for my eye without clarifying what he was about to do. Ive had enough. I called him out on his behavior and told him that at the very least I deserve some basic decency as a human being. I told him that if my presence is such a bother, and he's in a hurry to go see other patients, to please go ahead and do so, because Im leaving. His reply was "you are not doing me any favor by being here".
He must've felt somewhat bad because he ended up calming down a bit, explaining what his plan was, drawing a diagram for me, and in the end telling me he's "sorry we started off on the wrong foot". This appointment had me so rattled and upset that I knew I wasn't coming back.
I have no problem calling out anyone, including doctors when their behavior is despicable but if you do, I would suggest avoiding this surgeon entirely. If you are easily intimidated, I would avoid him. If you cannot stand up for yourself or don't know your rights as a patient and a human being, stay away from this man. He might be a good surgeon, but I did not find out, because I never came back. From my limited experience with this man, he's not a good human being. There's zero excuse to treat your patients like they're garbage. Last thing I wanted to do was have him operate on me and not feel comfortable to ask him questions or to come to him with complications.
I have since found a different surgeon and if I could give this guy zero stars, I would. I have never seen or met a ruder doctor in my life.

P.S. Ive been trying to obtain my medical records from this office for the last month and they are saying that they will only release my records if I come there IN PERSON and fill out their "release of records" paperwork. They will not email me the paper, they will not mail me the paper. They want me to fly to Vegas so I can sign a piece of paper.
A word of advice, stay away from this place. No one deserves to be treated this way. No one!

I waited for one year before leaving my review because I wanted to see how my eyes would look. In September 2023 I had my upper and lower lids done by Dr. Leibowitz. His office staff was excellent. Dr. Leibowitz explained both procedures to me in detail and always asked if I had any questions or concerns. Day of surgery he confirmed the procedures to be performed. If I could give Dr Leibowitz 10 stars I would! I was losing my eyesight in my right eye. I had seen 4 specialists and all misdiagnosed me and sent me off with different eyedrops. I had a chronic infection in my blocked right tear duct for over a year and a half. I have lupus and the chronic infection caused my lupus to be in a constant painful flare. It was horrible. I could not read a book but had to listen to books on audible.
I was referred to Dr Leibowitz by Dr. Koseoglu (thank you Dr Koseoglu). I immediately made an appointment with Dr. Leibowitz. He recognized my problems and issues as soon as he saw me and I made an appointment for surgery.
Dr. Leibowitz was kind, patient and to say that he loves what he does is an understatement! His passion for helping and his expertise are exemplary!
It has now been approximately three weeks since my surgery and I have my sight back! I cannot express my gratitude to Dr Leibowitz and his staff who were always there to answer my questions and concerns. After all, I had this infection for well over a year and a half! and thought I would never see much out of that eye again!
Because of Dr Leibowitz expertise, knowledge and passion for what he does , I have my site back in my right eye! Dr Leibowitz is a blessing! Have no doubts about seeing this wonderful man and his passion and drive to correct others mistakes, as well as chronic issues like mine! You will never regret it! After working with my daughter for almost a year on reconstruction of her eye lid and two surgeries later we have seen very little change. He has terrible “bedside” manner, he’s condescending and outright rude. I even cancelled our post operation appointment because at the last one he made my daughter cry. My son was attacked by a dog in the face that affected his right eye. Dr. Lebowitz performed an upper and lower eyelid reconstruction and we couldn’t be happier with the results. I was referred to Dr Leibowitz from Center for Sight. Two of the doctors from Center for Sight said I had a chronic eye problem but Dr. Leibowitz knew exactly my problem and performed minor surgery. My first appointment was for a visual field but no one bothered to tell me the machine was broken prior to the appointment. I scheduled an appointment for a procedure and a person before me went up because had been waiting 45 minutes so I asked the girl how late he is running after that.It was 9:57and her only response was your appointment is at 10:00 but did not answer my question so I assumed must be good. At 10:33 I needed to go. If she only told me how late he was going to be when I asked I could have moved things around. I understand he could of had an emergency but let patients know. I drove 3 hours to see Dr. Leibowitz for a second opinion on a care plan. I hand carried records from a previous visit to another ophthalmologist.. Dr. Leibowitz didn't take the time to look at my records, he decided after a few seconds of seeing me that I had a thyroid problem that needed to be addressed. I explained that the appearance of my eyes had not changed, that I had not experienced a change in energy level, that prominent eyes is hereditary in my family. All my comments fell on deaf ears. Dr. Leibowitz asserted that he specialized in the area of thyroid/eye issues and that we would discuss my my eyelid surgery only after a thyroid test and a CT scan. I had 10 minutes of his time, a basic patient mill.

I have since had a third opinion regarding my care plan from another oculoplastic surgeon who stated that the surgery was unnecessary. He, like several ophthalmologists I've seen, had no concern about the appearance of my eyes. Incidentally, a blood test with my recent wellness indicated no problem with my thyroid.

I have never before had a doctor completely disregard what I had to say.

Dr. Leibowitz is phenomenal! He reconstructed my lower eyelid after MOHS surgery and did a beautiful job. It was a large repair with not much skin left to work with. Dr. Leibowitz came highly recommended from my surgeons at both Vivida Dermatology and Center for Sight. It was the best possible outcome and the scarring is so minimal it’s difficult to tell I even had anything done. He has a caring bedside manner and truly wants to help his patients. His level of expertise along with his years of experience are unparalleled.

I recently met Dr. Steven lebowitz for the first time.
I met a friendly, honest doctor, who impressed me with his simplicity and his self-confidence.
Dr. Steven lebowitz explain me  that its a very simple procedure to remove a small growth that was under my eye lid.
all he mentioned that  I will  feel a bit the poke of the injection and that will be the hard part.
He made it sound so easy  and painless, that He put me  at ease right away and I actually set an appointment for the procedure to be done on our next meeting. The worry I had, whether to do the "surgery" or not was no longer there.
On my second visit the procedure was done and it was as simple as he informed me, even the injection's poke was not really as painful as he warned me.
Dr. Lebowitz, did a great and painless job.
I definitely recommend it.

I’d give an honest review of his work…. IF HE EVER DID ANY WORK. I have money and was willing to pay out of pocket for surgery… I’ve been waiting 3 months just for even a consultation. I was referred by another eye doctor, every time my appointment date comes close for whatever reason it keeps getting pushed back. Guess you don’t want to make money. Meanwhile my eye still needs surgery. What a joke. EDIT: Calling you out on that 1-2 week nonsense… first appt I set I had to wait a whole month and a half out after initially setting up an appt… that appt was canceled to make way for a second appt with the same results… a whole month and a half out… waited 3 months to not even be seen. Then was told I could make a 3rd appt with even longer wait time due to Dr. having surgery or vacation or whatever reason it was the third time around.

Dr. Leibowitz was the RUDEST MOST ARROGANT DOCTOR I’ve ever seen! Further, from a simple Ptosis Surgery I ended up in 2 EMERGENCY ROOMS (they sent me to a second one to see an EYE Specialist)-my left eye BLED OUT FOR OVER 16 HOURS-I even had to SIGN A CONSENT FORM for a BLOOD TRANSFUSION!!! So much for the IVY LEAGUE EDUCATED DR. LEIBOWITZ!!!

Dr. Steven leibowitz did a phenomenal job with the surgery. I had no complications after the surgery. I was told it will take 6 months for healing. My right eye seemed to be ok. However, I still don't fully feel the upper lid and the right side of my temple. I had my surgery Dec 2020.

My ptosis (droopy eyelids) had gotten so bad that it impaired my vision. I had to hold my eyelids open with my fingers to see very well. I wasn’t leaving the house much because of COVID and was getting scared to drive. Finally I decided, COVID or no COVID, I can’t wait any longer. I found Dr. Leibowitz on the internet and am glad I did. On our first visit, it was obvious that he knew what he was doing and that his services were in demand. He explained that my condition was pretty severe and I would need “Bilateral ptosis repair by silastic sling.” This sounded a little scary to me but he reassured me it was a very common procedure for him and that I came to the right place. He has a bit of a backlog so my surgery date was set for about 7 weeks out at the Summerlin Surgical Center. Bottom line is the surgery went well. Afterward, I had two black eyes and was sore for about a week, but nothing that ibuprofen couldn’t handle. I would strongly recommend Dr. Steven Leibowitz if you are in need of eyelid surgery. As a side note, I was very pleased with the performance of the staff at the Summerlin Surgical Center as well.

My girlfriend Veronica was injured at work.. she had damage to her eye...for months she struggled to smile when looking in the mirror..although she was beautiful before her procedure...dr leibowitz did such an amazing job..from the nurses to the anesthesiologist on his team ..from the moment we checked in until the moment he told me my sweet v was in recovery and that the procedure went well...i was so happy.. and so is she.. her eye is currently in bandage so I am just helping her do some thing and noticed "thank doc" on her to do list.. thanks doc from us both!+

I saw Dr. Leibowitz back in November because something showed up in my eye during a CT scan. He diagnosed it as a small tumor behind my eyeball and recommended that we remove it. He explained the whole process with me and that I would have to go to UCLA medical center for the surgery. I was hesitant because my culinary insurance only covers things in the state of Nevada but he was able to get it taken care of for me. So I had the surgery last Friday I was extremely nervous because it’s my eye. Well all went well it only took about 90 minutes. So far recovery has been great and I had my follow up with him already and everything is good. As far as the staff at UCLA I have never had a better medical experience in my life, I could only hope any surgery that I will ever need can take place there. I really hope I never have to go through this again but if I did I would totally feel confident in having Dr. Leibowitz do it again.

Great great doctor. He is very personable. Always friendly. He has a great deal of concern for his patients. He staff is a reflection of him. Always helpful and pleasant. He is the man to see.
I had a melanoma under my eye. He repaired the bottom lid from the hole that was left from removal. You can not tell anything was done. He grafted skin from that side as well. No scars nothing.

I was recommended to go to Dr Liebowitz and I was so very glad I did. He can fix a problem for me that others were going to have to have a much more intense surgery than his idea. His opinion makes far more sense than the others and his explanation was easy for me to understand. He made me feel very comfortable and listened quite well to my concerns.

Excellent Doctor. Very considerate. His staff was great when I emailed or phoned. He removed a basil cell carcenoma off of my lower lid, and had to reconstruct about 3/8 inch of where my eyelashes laid. He moved my lower eyelashes over and blended the scar into my laugh lines.
