Going into a surgery center is always causes a little anxiety. From the moment I stepped into the Durango Surgery Center, my fears were calmed. I was treated in a friendly, knowledgeable and compassionate manner. Everyone I encountered was amazing. Joyce, Yolanda, Larry, Heidi, Dr. Wentz, and the anesthesiologist (sorry, I forgot his name) were some of the folks that made my visit comfortable. However, this is not an all-inclusive list as the receptionist and support nurses were great as well (I just can't remember all of the names). Very competent and caring!

I would definitely recommend Durango Surgery Center if you have the ability to choose.

Very professional, efficient and well run facility. The staff were all very kind and attentive. My procedure was scheduled for 8:00 am and I was headed home by 10:00 am. I received a phone call the next day to check on my recovery and was told not to hesitate to contact them if I have any new developments or concerns. I was very happy and relieved with the whole process.

I had a minor surgery today at Durango Surgical Center, and the entire experience was exceptional from start to finish. The staff was phenomenal—Pam at registration, Veda
my pre-op nurse, Cheryl Rigo, and Lauren all went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and cared for.

I’m very sensitive to anesthesia and narcotics, which usually makes recovery difficult, but the team was so patient, attentive, and kind throughout the process. Their professionalism and compassion made a huge difference in my experience. I truly appreciate every one of them and highly recommend Durango Surgical Center to anyone seeking quality care.

I had a couple combined surgeries here earlier this month (Oct. 2025), and I just have to say how much I really appreciated the staff. This places makes it known that they strive to treat each and every patient as if they were a family member, and they definitely delivered on that.

The front desk staff was incredibly sweet, the anesthesiologist was helpful, and the nurses were great. One nurse even talked to me to distract me as my IV was inserted (for some reason, I can never entirely control my negative reaction to needles, as silly as it is.). The nurse at the end--I wish I could recall his name--was especially kind, helpful, informative, and friendly.

This was the 2nd time I had had surgery under general anesthesia and it was more "major" this time. I was nervous, but came out quite relieved. Too many doctors and facilities these days deliver subpar care and bedside manner, which makes me all the more appreciative. I hope to not need surgery again, but if I or anyone I know ever needs it, I would recommend Durango Surgery Center in a heartbeat.

Do not get surgery here. If you already did, immediately demand your full surgery report. They deflect and ignore written requests, you have to go in person to get anything. What happened during my surgery went far beyond what I consented to and included things I clearly refused, causing severe, life-altering injuries that I couldn’t connect to the surgery until I saw the report because the procedure went so far out of scope.

I had my surgery at Durango Surgery Center on 9/30/25 and couldn’t be more pleased. I arrived at 7 AM and was taken in right on schedule at 9 AM. From the moment I checked in, every staff member was kind, professional, and reassuring. Surgery can be very frightening, but they explained everything clearly and answered all of my questions, which helped me feel completely at ease.

During the procedure I felt nothing, and when I woke up I was comfortable and pain free. They provided me with a detailed recovery folder, and I appreciated how organized and thoughtful that was. The surgical center also followed up with phone calls on day one and day two after surgery to check on me, and they scheduled my post-op appointment right away.

Today was a great experience for my outpatient lipoma removal! I’ve had a lipoma on my neckline for quite some time and it began feeling uncomfortable, so I was referred to Dr. Jonathan Chino who utilizes the Durango Outpatient Surgery Center and scheduled my procedure. The entire staff including Marie at registration, Riley for pre-op, and Lauren for recovery were amazing! Very friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. The waiting room is large, modern, has fun TV shows playing, and a coffee machine. The anesthesiologist explained the procedure thoroughly so I knew what to expect. OR nurses were also kind and fast. I was wheeled in at my planned time, greeted, hooked up, and had the surgery done quickly. I was in a twilight (sedation without a breathing tube) so I could feel some of the numbing medication and hear the initial clanking of surgical equipment/tools when they started, but no pain, and that is what was explained to me. Then I drifted off, and woke up in recovery. I came home, took a nap and now feel a little tired and mildly sore, but it’s the afternoon and my surgery was this morning. Dr. Chino recommended taking Tylenol when I got home, so I’m not chasing pain. So far so good! Thanks everyone! Highly recommend!!

Really great experience here at Durango outpatient surgery center! From beginning to the end. The entire staff was so comforting and caring and patient! They were friendly and very informative through the entire procedure from when I got there till when I left. Starting with registration, Carne Was polite and friendly and very thorough and clear with getting everything ready to go. Everything went smooth and quickly getting checked in. The nursing staff was so friendly and caring and comforting during the entire time I was there. The pre-op nurse Yolanda was amazing and so was Vada! The OR nurse Patty was friendly and kind and comforting as well same with Kiyana! My surgery was done in a timely manner. The facility was super clean and comfortable. The recovery nurse Vada And Vanessa were absolutely amazing as well! They made sure I was comfortable and understood everything before leaving the facility. I have had to come here quite a few times and I usually have a very positive experience. I’ve had a small issue twice that I deducted a star for, but as whole they have outdone any other surgical center I’ve ever been sent to. They always go through the check out procedure carefully and they make sure you are steady before leaving (you would think that’s all standard but, trust me, not all facilities care this much) and they even follow up the next day to see how you feel or if you have any concerns. Sometimes the wait to get into surgery can get a little long, but I see that as a sign that they aren’t rushing through surgeries or pushing people out the door post surgery before they are ready just to clear a bed faster. I truly feel cared about and respected when I come here, no rushing, all the time. My doctor every time has been Dr. Wentz, if you have the good luck to be assigned to him you are in excellent hands. He never cancels and he always talks with you (and really listens) to make sure you are comfortable before the surgery.

Had a great experience today at Durango Surgery Center. I had very attentive nurses who got me back to the pre operative area very quickly (I was in a lot of pain from the medication I took to dilate my cervix) I had a hysterscopy D&C with my wonderful doctor Samet Albyrak. My boyfriend visit this place to have a surgery friday june 13, 2025. He had an appt scheduled at 1pm they called saying to come at 10am so we come and they then have us wait tell 1:14 before he even gets in the back for hes surgery. Then doesn’t call or update me on anything regarding him I had to call 3 times to get up dates. The last call they said come get him and i was 20 min away because they never called to give me a 30 min notice like it’s states. After the surgery they did not help him to the car or seem like they cared at all. They let him leave there with no paperwork or medication and give instruction i think how to keep clean while he was all drugged up and couldn’t remember what happened. ALSO the doctor who was supposed to perform this surgery left a couple min before and had a resident to it with no notice to my boyfriend who has been waiting for 3 hours already at this point. WORST PLACE EVER . WOULD NEVER RECOMMENDED. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU JUST HOW MANY PEOPLE THEY CAN GET THROUGH THE DOOR.

This was the best surgery I have ever had. The staff was absolutly amazing they helped me when I ask with no issue. Checked on me frequently. My dr was running behind but they made sure I was situated and comfortable while I waited. Huge thank you to my OR nurses and anestiaoligist as well. He helped me to be relaxed calm and comfortable. And to my post op nurse who sat with me holding my hand through everything your a literal god send. I'm so glad you work there and not labor and delivery anymore. I recently had the privilege of being cared for at Durango Surgery Center, and I cannot say enough about the incredible team that made my experience so smooth and comforting. From start to finish, every staff member went above and beyond to ensure my procedure was as stress-free as possible.

Pre-Op Nurse Tricia was a calming presence right from the start. Her kind demeanor and clear explanations helped put my nerves at ease, and her professionalism truly stood out. Maria at registration made the check-in process seamless and welcoming, which was such a relief during what can be a nerve-racking time.

The care I received in the operating room was second to none. OR Nurse Haley, OR Tech Esmeralda, and May were exceptional. They worked together with such skill and efficiency, yet still took the time to make sure I was comfortable and informed. Their compassion and teamwork were a testament to the outstanding level of care at this facility.

After the procedure, Recovery Nurse Robin provided gentle and attentive care, ensuring I felt safe and supported as I recovered. Her warmth and expertise made all the difference in those first moments post-surgery.

Lastly, I cannot recommend Dr. Wentz enough. He is, without a doubt, the best pain management doctor in Las Vegas. His expertise, bedside manner, and genuine care for his patients are unmatched.

Surgery is always a nerve-racking experience, but the team at Durango Surgery Center made the entire process easy and stress-free. Had a procedure today with Dr. Horner and Dr. Yu and anesthesiologist whose name escapes me at the moment unfortunately. They were absolutely great, and the facility was gorgeous and staff great from front to back, front of house to pre-op and in the operating room with the docs, all were incredibly professional, competent and wonderfully accommodating. Really the whole process was a breeze and as stress-free as can be. My family member got text updates as they watched one of the many big screen tv's and I got a cookie upon waking up before a very convenient exit to my ride. Very, VERY nice.

I had surgery here last week and it couldn’t have gone smoother. Everyone from start to finish was amazing and made me feel so at ease! Marie did my registration and she was so sweet we chatted while she did my paper work. My pre op nurse was Cheryl and she was amazing as well, I think she’s the one that started my IV and it was so quick and painless. When I woke up my recovery nurse was Elias. I had the shakes really bad when I woke up and he did not hesitate to give me some medicine in my IV to make them go away. I recently had a procedure at Durango Surgery center and for something i was very nervous about they couldn’t have made it more easy and non stressful. The facility is very nice and clean. This morning I had surgery and my experience is one I have yet to receive at any medical facility. From the moment I walked in with my support system, the staff greeted us and made us feel at home. The lobby area has plenty of seating, tables with outlets for electronics, fresh brewing coffee, and every space was spotless. The smiles of the intake team and their courteous demeanor was truly top notch. I was informed of every stage during the process of my surgery. When the nurse retrieved me from the intake area she was caring and thorough with her questions. She introduced herself and ensured I was comfortable. Every member of this team was extremely kind. I can’t remember all of the names, but I want to thank everyone (nurses, med assistants, intake, etc ) and Dr. Thomas Kim for taking great care of me. The anesthesiologist was absolutely awesome!

I just want to take a moment to thank everyone involved in my care at Durango outpatient surgery center. They were outstanding even the people at the front desk that checked me in. The billing department withdrew hundreds of dollars from my card without my consent. Every month they duplicate charge my card for the same amount I already paid on my original date of service.
I have now paid the Same charge several times. They are literally ROBBING MY BANK ACCOUNT.
***Update*** I requested that all information be mailed to me in writing so that I can address any mistaken outstanding balance with my insurance company. I was threatened with being sued I was told they would absolutely NOT send me any information via mail and in writing, I requested to speak with a supervisor and then I was put on hold for a duration of 3 minutes after which I was hung up on. I called back, they said the manage is not available.
My insurance company confirms No outstanding balance. Durango continues to steal money from my account every month.

Think twice before having your surgery performed here. My surgery went well and all of the nurses and attendants were great. However, here it is October 22nd, and my insurance has still not received a claim for the surgery I had on September 22nd, 50 days later!!!!! Because this surgery center has failed to send a claim to my insurance, and therefore my deductible has not been met, I am unable to attend physical therapy. If this center would do its job and send the claim, my deductible would be met, and I could attend physical therapy free of charge. Instead, my options are to pay hundreds of dollars to attend physical therapy due to Durango surgery center’s gross error or wait for them to be professional and do their job of which I am doing the latter. Speaking with the surgery center’s billing/claim department has gotten me nowhere. A representative from this department said she would follow-up on the matter after she spoke with her supervisor, and she has yet to do so. My doctor has submitted their claims to my insurance and given the surgery center everything they need. This surgery center is a factory and doesn’t care about the well-being of patients after they’ve gotten their money and are out the door. They are literally preventing me from attending physical therapy and getting back to 100% because they fail to do their job. No matter how good the nurses are, what’s the point if you can’t even attend physical therapy to rehabilitate following the surgery. P.S. Their parent company, United Surgical Partners International, knows about the issue and I have heard zero for over two weeks. This speaks to WAY larger issues.

I don't normally suffer from anxiety but when it comes to anesthesia the whole thought of going under and not waking up cripples me mentally. Dr. Neville Campbell with his positive demeanor and energy immediately lifted that spirit of restlessness. The staff is top notch. I was waited on literally by 8 different nurses every 5 minutes asking me if I needed anything. Everybody was so positive and upbeat to be doing what their tasks were and since I work in customer service myself, it makes all the difference. Hopefully the next time I see them, it will be dropping off donuts for the entire staff instead of another procedure but if it comes to that, this is the only place I'll go.

I rate my three visit to Durango surgery center as excellent. The office is very clean and comfortable the people at the front desk have excellent customer service, and I didn't have to wait long for the nurse to call me. My best impression was when they take me inside they all worked together as a team work helping each other accompanied by excellent professionalism. My wife went to Durango Outpatient Surgery center for a simple procedure.
She was the last patient for the day, when she was in recovery the nurses talking amongst themselves about how they needed to get all the patients discharged so they could go home. It seemed like they were rushing everyone out. My wife had a lower blood pressure than she should have had but they let her go home. Little did we know but they sent her home with internal bleeding.
Thanks to the Keep Our Doctors in Nevada act these butchers won’t even get reprimanded for their mistakes.

This place is really great! I have some complex health conditions and many allergies which make me more hesitant to want to go forward with any surgery or have anesthesia. I hate doctors, I haven’t met many I like let alone respect. The team at the Durango Surgery Center are amazing. When that say they treat you like family, they mean it. Due to circumstances beyond their control my procedure was delayed. Instead of just letting their patients stew, starving in their waiting room, they made sure we were aware of the situation with profuse apologies and assurances we will be taken care of. We were not rushed through to “make up” time lost. Everyone treated me with kindness and respect from the receptionist to Dr Ryan who performed the procedure. Not once did I feel rushed. Everything was fast and easy, was my first time as an adult going under anesthesia, I was very scared but Hannah and Miriam were so great at answering all of my questions and calming me down and Dr Alexander is so patient, kind, personable and informative. I couldn't have asked for a better doctor. Thank you to Dr.Alexander and his team at durango surgery center! I appreciate everything you do!

Oh how we love colonoscopy time, right?
The prep is the worst and since I was scheduled for 630AM I had to finish the last of my prep cocktail very early so basically no sleep.
I was on time looking like I'd been through a seige of digestive flu. I don't remember the names of the staff. I can only say they are all professional, understanding AND friendly.
Receptionist, pre op staff, surgical and post op treated me as a human being, not a number.

I went in for an Out Patient Procedure & I was a New Patient so I was Very Nervous! First thing is SAFETY, Taking my Temp. B4 I even walked into the Registration Area & they were So Curtious & actually Escort You inside! All of the Registration Staff were Amazing! Once inside, however I was Assigned a Pre-Op & Recovery Nurse "Shawn", it was like Night & Day when he took over! HE was All Business, Not Friendly & Never addressed Me by my name! When I was changing into my Surgery Gown, he started asking me the Usual questions for Pre-Op, Fine, he had started on the Outside of the Curtain, I didn't know he was addressing Me! He was Not Friendly and Was Was in To Much Of A HURRY, No Bedside Manners! Even With My I.V., He Never asked if I had an Area I would Prefer & didn't "Warm" my Vein Up making it A Painful Stick! HE got It on 1st try, so IF He Should have More Consideration for the Patient it Would be A Lot Better! The O.R. Nurse's Asta & Natasha Were Outstanding, as All of the Rest of the Surgery Staff Were! The Snacks afterwards are also A Really Nice Extra Touch, the "Cookies" were Awesome!

From the time I walked in the door until I was wheeled out of the door everyone I encountered at Durango Surgery Center was absolutely wonderful! Going in for a procedure can be scary and make anyone anxious. I was put at ease and any questions I had were answered with a smile. Thank you for making my visit an enjoyable one!

Similar to some of the previous reviews, I received nothing less than exceptional care. I held off on my procedure due to Covid, but my doc reassured me that it was safe. And he was absolutely right. I felt extremely safe, from beginning to end. I arrived at the center a few minutes earlier and they had a nurse station outside of the main waiting room/lobby checking for Covid symptoms, asking additional questions, and replacing everyone’s mask with a clean disposable one. She then led each individual patient into the waiting room. Once in the waiting room, they have social distancing seating arrangements. I only waited maybe 10 minutes and was led to the back for prep. All of the nurses were so kind and helpful. They gave me warm blankets and explained the process in detail. They also communicated each step of the process via text to my husband. He knew when I was in the operating rooms, out of the operating room etc. My appointment was at 6, my husband received texts to notify him that the procedure started at 6:53 and then that the procedure was done at 7:12. I was out of there by 7:45. They are definitely efficient. They know what they are doing and how to do it.

The best center for procedures. Each and every staff member was amazing. Haley and the office manager were extremely polite and professional, and I very much appreciated them working with me to lower my upfront costs despite my remaining deductible. Just about every RN was sweet as pie and I love them all forever for their kindness and extra care. Regrettably I cannot remember all of their names (except Vanessa), but I was taken aback by how they appreciated ME and my patience. Place was plenty busy for a Sat, but that was a small price to pay for the wonderful service provided here. I was in and out virtually as quick as they claimed. 7 stars

My experience today was Fantastic. Dr. Campbell and Dr Alexand where top notch Doctors .There staff was superior. I am very please and happy. Not a fan of going under. Doctor Campbell did it didn't feel any anxiety. Work up in recovery room . Waited on ride went home. Thank you all for

My biggest anxiety was how I have bad reactions to anesthesia. Dr. Blake listened as well as victoria let him know the meds they had in stock to help. Mr. Jay who was my OR nurse was cool as heck, clearly went over details in an understandable way. Ms. Anne my recovery nurse was equally as attentive, and again explained details in easy to understand language. I would go back for any other procedure because, the facility was clean, and gosh darn it, I felt CARED FOR.

Dr. Christian Stone and the staff at Durango Outpatient Surgery Center were top notch when I had my colonoscopy. The staff ensured all instructions were clear prior to procedure day. I was due to check in at 11:30 and they called to see if I could come in earlier as the doctor was running ahead of schedule. Needless to say, that was like hitting the lottery and I raced down the 215 to get this over sooner! Dr. Stone met with me before and after the procedure which was very reassuring. He also followed up with me 2 days later (after business hours) to let me know his diagnosis was confirmed by the pathology report and the treatment had been sent to my pharmacy. It doesn't get any better than this folks!

I have been having some sever health issue and my doctor scheduled me for a medical procedure at Surgical Outpatient Surgical Center. While filling out the pre-procedure paper work, it stated that in order to have procedure, I would need go have a ride home that is not a taxi or ride service such as Uber or Lyft. I just moved to Las Vegas and do not know anyone and I work from home so I have no coworkers. I called the surgical center and explained this to them and asked what options I had. I was told that they refused to do the procedure if I did not have a code home. I again explained my situation and told them I understood the policy and was willing to work with them on finishing a solution arhat I could still have my procedure. I again was told that it was not their problem and that they would cancel the procedure if I could not find a ride home that wasn’t a taxi. So the procedure was canceled and I am unable to be treated for a sever medical condition. The staff was extremely rude and not helpful at finding a solution for my problem. I understand the policy is for my safety, but the fact that they refused to even help me find a solution and forced me to cancel my appointment was unacceptable. Avoid this place at all costs.

I had knee surgery here today. Every employee was kind, caring, attentive and all were smiling. It was so nice to be in a medical facility where everyone seemed to care about the patient. I wasn't sure what to expect as the medical services in Vegas lack in so many areas, especially compassion. The staff at Durango Outpatient Surgery are warm and considerate from the check in to the check out.

Excellent Outpatient Surgery Center! I was very Impressed! I had my pipes checked :-) on December 1, 2018. The staff was most attentive and the facility is very well cared for. This is Teamwork at it's finest!! I want to Thank Melissa U. in Admissions, Melissa N. in Pre-OP (fabulous with an IV), and the awesome OR staff Cristina, Recovery :-) and Anesthesiologist Adam. They all were so sweet, and I can't say enough about the excellent care and communication for their patients! And, the wonderful David Shih who was very informative and excellent in patient pre and post op care. It is really great to have a physician go over everything with you and make you feel totally comfortable before and after the procedure! Thank you all for the Card and pre-Birthday wishes too!!

My husband has had a lot of outpatient surgeries over the last few years at several different surgery centers and this is by far my favorite. It has plenty of nice comfy seating, there is free coffee and the people are all super nice. The TV was on a sitcom channel with Seinfeld and Friends which helped pass the time. Much better then SW Medical on Rancho where we usually end up. I wish all of his surgeries happened here.

I only waited 20 minutes to see a nurse and not too long after that to get my procedure done, everyone from the front desk staff to every single nurse was very nice (unlike the ones you'll see in an emergency room). Almost every nurse that walked by asked if I was okay. Everything is well kept and clean here.

It's amazing to me that they want you to do their job by filling in your information on line but they can't have a simple port access needle on the property. They can call at 8:00 in the morning and leave a general message that says verifying your appointment with your doctor for tomorrow and remember no food or drink after midnight and that be the end of their nurses duty. And when you call advising you have a port to use for access the front desk tells you a nurse will be calling you today and you can talk to her then. Of course that nurse had called at 8:00 in the morning and I was never called again. I didn't know it was the nurse because she didn't even leave her name or title on the message. But I can get another automated call later in the day telling me how important it is I go on line and do their work by registering on line.. Another problem on line registration wasn't working. But I show up to have my procedure and they have no needles for my port and want to know if I carry them. No I don't carry needles to access my port. Medical facilities have them. Then I'm told the nurse couldn't access the port without doctors orders. They can bump me up waiting for orders if I like. They still don't have the needle to access the port.Why would I want to wait longer to get orders for something you still can't do because you have no needles. I have very small hard to access veins. Because of monthly medical treatments I have the port. They are not that unusual. People getting chemo often have ports. Now that I'm upset everybody wants to talk to me. The charge nurse, the medical director but nobody with the needles to access my port. Luckily the anesthesiologist was kind and gentle and listened to me about my veins and accessed a vein so I could get anesthesia for my procedure. I think it is very unprofessional and unethical to expect a patient to carry her own needles for her port. And I tried to straighten it out with them yesterday so they would be prepared but just got put off. If my doctor goes to other facilities I will never use Durango Surgical Center again.

Quick to charge but takes years to process your reimbursement...Well, of course that's an exaggeration or maybe not...you decide.
My procedure was back in March and i was charged the full amount. After discovering that my insurance has a health-reimbursement plan, they promised to process my reimbursement which i still have not received. Tried calling just now and has not been going through...hmmmm.
