I have been taking my kids here for a few years - but this last time … well - I’m about done with it.

Came in for contact renewal / had to take a new test / no change in script

2 weeks later - call to ask about eta on them “we didn’t order them” in case they needed adjustment? That was the excuse - the script didn’t change tho 🤷🏻‍♂️

I was lucky enough to get an appointment 1 day after I called on Monday March 19th I woke up and it was as so weird like my left eye could see you in a ghost grey and smearie. I had worked cleaning some chemical and fine dirt and dust on Sunday. I got so scared like I was going blind. They kindly accepted me filled out new patience forms and was called right away. There was a problem my BP was 196/113. The Dr contemplated even seeing me until I got some meds.
I starting crying asking if I could go blind in that eye. Long story short Im on the meds, and the staff esp Francine and Asana were so awesome helping me choose what glasses that they thought I would look good in. Awesome job ladies. Real people who care. I was met by the office manager, JoAnna, and I must admit that her conduct was far from what I have come to expect from your team. She exhibited rudeness and a lack of professionalism that I found disheartening.

Specifically, JoAnna was dismissive and displayed impolite behavior. She threw my prescription paper onto the counter, which was both surprising and unwelcoming. As a first-time prescription renewal patient, I was seeking clarity on certain medical terminology. When I politely requested her assistance and a more pleasant interaction, her response was far from accommodating.

To my dismay, JoAnna made me wait in the lobby for over 30 minutes without any explanation or assistance, despite my submitting my insurance papers promptly. My initial intention was to purchase new frames and obtain my prescription, but this experience left me feeling undervalued and disrespected.

Given that our entire office relies on your practice for our eye care needs, it is with regret that I must inform you that, as a result of today's encounter, we are seriously considering switching our healthcare provider. This decision is not taken lightly, as we have always appreciated the quality of care provided by your doctors.

I would like to emphasize that I believe your team has the potential to provide exceptional care to its patients. However, it is essential that these recent issues are addressed promptly and effectively to maintain the trust and loyalty of your patients.

I hope this feedback is taken constructively, with the aim of improving your practice and ensuring that future patients do not have to endure the same negative experiences that I did today. I look forward to hearing from you regarding any steps you plan to take to address these concerns.

I have been coming to Dr. Ohriner for more than 20 years. And now i bring my daughter for her eye care needs. The professionalism and knowledge of the staff is superb. Dr. Ohriner always takes the time to answer any questions, as well as explaining your situation and making sure that you get taken care of with all glasses or contacts on a timely manner. Francine and Shanna were awesome helping me today. Both of them were very helpful with helping me choose my frames, they were honest and straight-forward with whether or not the frame looked good on me. Well what can I say. Dr. Ohriner and his staff are the best. They do same day appointments, front office calls you to remind you of your appointment which now not many clinics do it. I’ve been his patient for almost 10 years and believe nothing has change, not his bed side manners, his friendly staff or the way they run the office. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

Me and my family have been going to see dr. Mark and his staff since I was about two or three years old. My mother actually believes that we were his first patients when he opened his practice back in the early to late 90s. He has never messed up any kind of problem with our eyes never gotten any order wrong for glasses or contacts I give him five stars because one he is a family friend and two he's just an amazing eye doctor and I think the best in the valley. In fact in my twenty-seven years of seeing dr. Mark they only had one issue with a set of glasses I had ordered about 5 to 6 years ago and now is because it was on backorder and it wasn't even their fault I strongly strongly strongly recommend dr. Mark and his staff at Family Eye Care.

I used my VA benefits for a eye exam and new glasses. I now have 3 packs of contacts I can’t wear. Glasses I paid $300 out of pocket for that stay dirty and smudged. The glare off them gives me headaches. These are the worst pair of glasses I have owned. I’be worn glasses for 30 yrs. Oh, but for $100 more they will but some film on them to help stay clean. I went back 3 times to correct the issues. Each time service was worse. I notified the VA of the issues. I hope they don’t send anyone else here. I’ll go to Lens Crafters from now on.

Dr Ohriner is easily the best optometrist in Las Vegas, maybe even the world. Out of all the doctors Ive seen in my life, from physicians to neurology specialists, Dr Ohriner stands at the top. Hes extremely well informed, personable and thorough. I always look forward to visiting his office.

Went for eye exam for myself and my daughter. Dr told my daughter she doesn't know how to read (mind you she had no contacts in and didn't ask her to read anything). Then came the 2 week check up to order our contacts. Dealing with Jasmin at the office. Says she will call back with invoice information, no call back. I finally called again after a couple attempts to get a hold of her, and she took credit card information and said she will email me the invoices. Now on the second day of no contact and no invoice. Credit card not charged, so where did the information go. Still waiting for a call from Jasmin. Will not recommend office to anyone!!

I didn’t get to go inside for my appointment but let me tell you, your assistant Alex, Alexa or whatever her name is she’s super rude not only was she rude over the phone but rolled her eyes when I told her I didn’t have my ID with me. Why do I keep coming back? & The only reason is for this doctor! This office is the worst! Been coming here for few years now and have had the worst experience every appointment! If you need to make a appointment for them call them to remind them! They will forget! I am in complete shock!! Progressives came in in less than a week. I can see BETTER than perfect!! It took my "other" doctor 6 times to get my vision "close"....and weeks for glasses to arrive! I have been a patient of Mark's since I started wearing glasses (wait I wasn't wearing glasses before seeing him, so it must be HIS fault I am wearing glasses LOL. It is a conspiracy). about 3 or 4 years ago.
He is professional and funny, his "chairside" manner is really awesome.
I have felt in the past his office staff was not really up to par, but on the last couple of visits I have noticed they are much better!!! Jasmine the Office Manager is just awesome, so is Brianna. they make it a pleasure to go in for a visit!

I had an eye emergency and was able to get an appointment asap. The person that made the appointment for me was very helpful and efficient. When I got there for my appointment I was in right a way.
The doctors bedside manner was perfect. He asked about my problem, examined me, then he explained what I needed to do and made me feel at ease. They offer a large selection of stylish frames too.

I love this eye doctor, & everyone else who works with him!! He is really good at taking the time to actually talk with you. He doesn't just rush through an exam. He made sure to explain everything he was saying, to where I could easily understand it. Also, all the questions I asked, he was upfront, honest, & helpful when he answered. He seems very knowledgeable & competent, so I have no problem in trusting my eyes and all things related to my vision, to him. (Also, he is very friendly & energetic, & extremely funny! He had me cracking up! I don't think I've ever had so much fun at an eye doctor's office!!) Plus, I don't remember the girl's name who was getting me all set up with everything before I saw the eye doctor, but she was awesome & super sweet! & Alma, the last person I had the pleasure of interacting with, well.... she's amazing!!! Funny, sweet, & genuinely helpful, that girl had me smiling from ear to ear when I walked out of there! This place is now my new favorite eye doctor's place! (my ONLY eye doctor now, hopefully!) They all definitely go above and beyond!!
(*bonus points for playing "Friends" on TV in the waiting room!... which I literally only spent 5 minutes in!) Lol. :)

I am one of the problem guests who accidentally hold you up. You know why? Dr. Ohriner refused to just send me on my way when I had a problem. He took the time to re-examine me on the spot to be sure of what I needed. I work in a very busy physical therapy office where patients no show or show up at the wrong times constantly. Managing the patient calendar is very tough, I am sure it is the same for this office. I highly recommend the office staff, and of course, Dr. Ohriner if you want a thorough and complete exam, explained in a down to earth way. This is my 6th year of being his patient and I will be around for many more.

I have been going to Dr. Ohriner for quite sometime. He has always taken the time to explain in detail what you will need and why, and he usually throws a couple of jokes into the conversation. His staff however is another story, I just got new glasses about a month and a half ago. First it took me longer to receive them than I was told it would be, I got every excuse it the book. And now my glasses just broke 2 days ago, I took them in today 3-27-17 and was told that they have to call the manufacturer, but that they are closed now because it's back east. And that they will try to call tomorrow, but they might not have the part. I said ok so what if that happens, the women said then we have to order new frames, I said how long will that take. She stated she had no idea!!
I am definitely going to find another eye doctor next time!!!!
