As a medical assistant and someone that works in healthcare I have to say that Dom the girl that works at the front desk/check out needs to find another job that she likes better, we had to find somebody else to answer our questions (he was really nice! And costumer service was great! I think his name was Daniel) she barely looked at us and looked annoyed as if we were an inconvenience, when we were good to go she couldn’t even let us know either we just stood there, someone else had to ask what else did we need to go. The only reason why we leave 3 starts is because the doctor is great! And the medical assistant that saw us was great as well.

Hand Center of Nevada Incompetence List

Wrong hand on file from day one. It was corrected at that time, at least on my end.
1st visit after surgery with therapist, wrong hand still on file. Corrected again.
1st visit with dr. vahey after surgery, this is where HIPAA violations begin, unable to answer if screws or wires were used for ORIF without xray. Xray machine under maintenance at time, so will need to wait until next therapy visit for the xray.
Is there a reason why hipaa is ignored and dr follow ups are conducted in therapy space, discussing PMI while sitting shoulder to shoulder with a stranger that is doing therapy? This has to be a massive violation.
6th therapy visit a different therapist notices wrong hand still documented in file, and corrects it.
Scheduling for screw removal, the wrong hospital, wrong surgery, for the wrong hand, on a day that was never discussed was scheduled. Henderson hospital called, to schedule ORIF of left thumb which has never been looked at by this dr.
Called to correct with HCON, to which the person answering the phone was going everything and said again, the left thumb is in their documentation…… I explain the situation and he never corrects it with Henderson hospital. Just reschedules with sahara surgery. So moving forward, now the hospital and surgery center are calling to schedule. I have to explain the massive mess up on hcon end and apologize for their time being wasted but it wasn’t under my control to hospital.
Finally get to screw removal surgery and the wrong hand is scheduled again. Dr vahey has to redo paperwork when he arrives and delays surgery.
2 days post op I was having a good deal of pain and following instructions, I called dr vaheys office, to which they took a message for him. I didn’t hear back for 6 days...6 days to figure out why I was in so much pain and how to deal with it with no medical assistance due to incompetence

Dr. Gluck very narcissistic said my hand was fine as I read other reviews here I see he has done this to other patients kept waking up with bumps all over my fingers went to the emergency room three times. They told me it was scabies after several weeks, I realized it wasn’t scabies. I went to a dermatologist who diagnosed me with dermatitis from the surgery that Dr. Gluck had performed. He refused to take responsibility or acknowledge it. I only got to go to therapy once or twice before he released me and said my hand was fine after three months my finger is bent and more swollen than when I got the surgery horrible Doctor Who does not take responsibility very narcissistic

I don’t usually find myself moved to write reviews often, least of all for medical practices, but my continued treatment here has been so exceptional that I could not in good conscience allow another day to go by without singing Dr Micev’s praises. Moving to Vegas from NYC has been quite the culture shock in many ways but the struggle to find quality medical care in this city has been beyond the worst part of my experience out here…finding Dr Micev and his team has been like finding a true oasis in the desert of shiesty healthcare. I would even go so far as to say he’s better than any doctor I’ve even had in NYC! His bedside manner is absolutely stellar, he is patient, empathetic, thorough, and really takes the time not only to hear out your concerns but explain in detail everything and answer all questions (and I had plenty of questions!). After years of dealing with doctors that gaslight my pain, dismiss my lived experience, and barely glance at my imaging reports, I have been overjoyed to have finally found a doctor that actually looks at the images himself to catch what reports may miss (I was initially told all I had was a sprain and a bruised hand until going to him and finding I had a broken bone in my hand that required surgery!) and he even goes as far as to show me the images and explain to me what I’m seeing. Even on the day of my surgery he made me feel so at ease (and I have legitimate clinical anxiety so that’s no small feat!) and his work is impeccable — my scar is barely visible unlike other surgeries that left me with gnarled ugly incision scars, he is truly an artist with the scalpel!
I don’t think I’ve ever had a doctor I’ve trusted so completely as Dr Micev. Another thing I deeply appreciate about him (and this is definitely a New Yorker thing lol) is how real and direct and honest he is. His communication style is gentle and kind while being fully transparent and informative. As an artist, writer, and fiercely independent person not having use of my hands is a terrifying prospect and has been difficult to cope with mentally and emotionally on top of the physical pain and limitations; being in Dr Micev’s care is the only thing that has kept from falling into full on despair and I cannot express enough how much that means to me and how grateful I am for him. If ever you find yourself in need of a hand/wrist specialist I hope you are fortunate enough to be treated by Dr Micev — a true rarity, an actual healer, and the absolute best doctor I’ve EVER had!

PT here is a joke, they are only interested in billing your insurance company and you. I went here for 4 months for a mallet finger. I went every 2 weeks for physical therapy which consisted of my hand in some hot towels and twirling foam in my hand 1x and rewrapping my finger in the splint. Next came the hand exercises and wearing the ring. One of the exercises was making a fist. I specifically asked should I make a tight fist and I was told yes. I'm at home doing these exercises 10X four times a day and slowly my finger was starting to droop again. I let them know this and I was told my fingers are very limber and that's the problem not the tight fists that I was told to make (yeah right). I was told I had to start all over again with the splint but once I started complaining I was told I to go back to wearing the ring. I never saw Dr Micev only the PA Chase and she said it was ok to make a tight fist. I told her not to me when the tendons in my finger are still healing it makes no sense. Of course no one is going to admit their mistake. At this point I asked to see Dr Micev who of course could not see me that day. She also told me if the ring did not fix my finger there was nothing else they could do besides surgery. I refuse to spend another $70 copay to see Dr. Micev when told there is nothing else they could do besides surgery. That was it for me. Now I keep getting all these bills for the $209 and higher. I am very disappointed, frustrated and irritated by the experience I had at this facility. I would not recommend this place to anyone who cares about getting the proper care you deserve and competent physical therapy that you and your insurance are paying for because I definitely did not get it at Hand Center of Nevada!!!

I was referred here by my PCP. When I called to make an appointment I was asked to provide medical records before I was even asked my name. I went to try to obtain the medical records but the doctors office is no longer there. I called to let them know this the person took my information and placed on hold for 30 minutes the hung up without out ever picking up the phone. I called back and was hung up on at the third ring. I called again and was again placed and left on hold. Staggering unprofessionalism on the part of the office staff.

Amazing experience in this neat and clean office with helpful staff. I saw Dr Vest for multiple dog bites injures to my hands. He documented everything in medical terms and then explained to me in plain English that the nerves were frozen in my finger and that I should not waste any time getting therapy treatment. A few weeks later and I can make a fist and bend the finger i thought I’d lose for sure! I was nervous but now I feel calm and relaxed and confident about doing hot yoga🧘‍♀️ and pet sitting 🐾

VA referred me to this clinic. On my way there they sent me a text to fill out all my personal info which the VA already sent. I walked in after filling it out and the front desk said oh no you’re five mins late. I apologized. Then went to wait. I was next to the window. Next patient walked in and asked how long is the wait. She said 1 and half hours. I asked her to verify. The waiting room had no more seats. They also advertised cbd openly in a medical clinic which is not fda approved. They are the only clinic in town and know it and overbook avoid if possible.

Went in for a follow up appointment this morning. I was seen a half-hour late for my appointment. I did not receive any texts or calls that the office was running late. When I finally got in with the doctor I was shocked to see him put his phone on the desk running a stopwatch app as we started talking. Obviously this didn't make me think my care was the top priority. When I left, I called the office to inquire why the stopwatch was present. I waited on hold for 15 minutes, and finally asked for a callback. That callback never came. Follow up: still no call, but got a bill for $600 for a velcro wrist brace that retails for $29.

Loved meeting Dr Gluck today! Unfortunately, I waited 3.5 hours to see him. I do hope this was an unusual occurrence as I do hope to go back to see him again for my hand joint replacement surgery! He is extremely personable, professional and extremely intelligent in a field that is truly unique! He is able to completely replace your entire joint in the metacarpal bone of your hand which is a very difficult procedure (surgery) being an extremely tiny space. Dr Gluck is a very talented surgeon, he is one of only few that performs this procedure here in the Las Vegas, Henderson area.

At the end of my visit, I stopped by the front desk to ask if I had a copayment and I was told no. Then two weeks later I received a bill in the mail for $209.00. My husband had an appointment today and when he got here one of the girls in the front checked him in but was so rude she did notice my husband's English is not so great and continued talking to him in English knowing perfectly well she was hispanic and speaked Spanish she decided to continue speaking in English and was so rude to him, you need to calm down and be more polite to patients. I saw Doctor Gluck for a consultation + 1 followup

1. THE CONTEXT: I have been a pianist for 20 years and have extreme pain in both hands, wrists and elbows.

2. THE CONSULTATION: I told Dr. Gluck I needed treatment in both hands. He said he would not order imaging or treatment for the left hand because he was “-not worried about it”. I asked him for a thumb brace for my left hand when he gave one for my right. He said no twice to a left hand thumb brace… then he said yes on the third time I asked.

3. THE FOLLOW UP: Upon second visit, I hired a large marine male to accompany me to my appointment because I was feeling uncomfortable discussing my bodily injury with a doctor who was “not worried about it”.

When the marine addressed the doctor, the doctor agreed immediately to treat my left hand.

HOWEVER I decline further treatment from Dr. Gluck. He couldn’t hear my words about my pain when I was alone with him the first time.
And because I am a lady. I will not raise my voice.
I find yelling to be a rude form of persuasion.

THE JUDGEMENT: This Doctor is incompetent.
He could not hear my words when spoken decently

* Additionally, this establishment does not allow patients to switch doctors because it’s “bad for business”. So start treatment elsewhere.

I saw Dr. Gluck November 2024. I paid my co-pay of $40 at that time of the appointment. I knew I was in trouble with a steroid injection in my finger when he said ohhh too much, the finger is blowing up on the other side. He put too much in the finger. Which the shot has not had any effect. Fast forward to April 2025. I received a bill for $30...for my co-pay. I called them on Wednesday, April 30 and the answering machine said lien desk and they will call within 72 hours! The bill states this is a current charge and not late. I left a message that I had paid $40 for my co-pay...now they are charging me $30 - which is the correct amount, and I requested to be called back. I again called on May 1 and left a message to call me back. Today, Monday, May 5, I called again...because no one has called me to explain the bill. Terrible service!

I called to book an appointment for my husband. As soon as I called, I didn’t get greeted. Even when you know what medical office you’re calling, you should always be greeted (basic etiquette) I felt like I was talking to somebody on their cell phone. I felt like front desk was very unprofessional. As my first time booking, they weren’t helpful and truly didn’t help with the booking process. My husband went to this office after he had cut his finger pretty badly, the doctor clearly stated that he wanted him in surgery by Tuesday as he had cut his nerves and tendons pretty badly and risked the chance to get permeant damage. The lady up front told him that on Monday they would call they insurance. Come Tuesday, they still haven't called his insurance. My husband is losing feeling on his finger each day that goes and they just keep saying they'll call but never do. No matter how busy the office is the staff here is always quick to greet you courteously and help get you checked in. Wait time for my appointment is always very reasonable as well as the time it takes my doctor to see me. My doctor is knowledgeable of my medical history and always understanding. I am so happy with my Sonexx Carpal Tunnel Release surgery with Dr Micev! I am 10 days post op, I have already played tennis again and the hand numbness when I sleep is gone since the day of surgery! No stitches, awake during entire procedure which only took 5 minutes after local anesthetic injections took effect. I highly recommend Dr Micev and this procedure for anyone suffering from carpal tunnel issues!

I shattered my wrist. Dr. Micev got me on his surgery schedule within the week to rebuild it with plates and screws. The instructions I was given to get all the pre-surgery tests and scans was very clear. Surgery went great. I was impressed with how quickly I regained movement and strength in my fingers after surgery. I saw daily progress.

Dr Micev is friendly and focused. He is very clear in his goal and expectations for next steps for progress & improvement.

The staff and nurses are helpful and friendly.

Only complaint… no automatic doors. All their patients have hand/wrist injuries. Opening doors is challenging while also carrying stuff. Automatic doors at a business like this should be a no brainer!!!!

I had Doctor Micev do hand surgery for trigger finger. I’m a diabetic and in a wheelchair so it wasn’t an easy choice. After a year post surgery it wasn’t great and I thought the surgery was a waste. Then somewhere in months 12-18 everything got back to normal. He’s a great doctor and was very patient with me. I can be a handful but I really appreciated this service and doctor.

He was supposed to remove the Gangling cyst. He did the surgery and I went to my primary complaint something was wrong so they did an MRI the MRI came back and said that he had put a cast on my left arm for the thumb but the thumb is broken the report from Steinberg said: “ irreversible” so now I walk around with a broken thumb. Unfortunately I do not have much to say that is nice about this place. I will say my first visit, out of pocket, very expensive - I understood that, the doctor was nice. She saw me for about five minutes. Then I called to see what the cost would be (if any) for my follow up appointment, the front desk gal did not know said she would have a manager call me - that was two weeks ago. No one has called. I called last week to cancel the appointment, I was on hold for 10 minutes and had to get back to work. Never did talk to someone.

My appointment was 2:00 pm. I was waiting one hour and 20 mins but I didn’t see the doctor yet . I asked the lady how long I have to wait more , she said if you don’t want to wait you can go and reschedule another appointment. What ? She is not nice. So I don’t want come back again.

Doctors office sent multiple messages and voicemails confirming my appointment, but didn’t bother to call day of stating the doctor was running “hours”behind. Asked if I wanted to sit and wait? No thanks. You guys couldn’t pick up the phone to advise paying clients they would be more than an hour later than scheduled. Terrible customer service. I’ll take my business elsewhere.

I broke my wrist in January 2021. A week later, I met with Dr. Micev who was able to get me into surgery within two days. The surgery went very well and I recovered very quickly. Love this place! The PT staff and entire administrative team were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Lack of communication and blamed us for that. Front desk is rude. The woman at the front desk named Brandy kept playing the blame game instead of helping us find a solution and cancelled his surgery when he did everything he needed to prior to surgery. They told him to get a covid test before surgery and he did but they didn’t accept it because it wasn’t at the hospital they wanted him to take it. He is in sooooo much pain and Dr. Lee won’t prescribe him anything. No one should be treated like this and no one should have to go through pain. But of course, the Dr. Lee refused to give him medicine.

Dr. Micev is hands down the best! On my first visit he was super thorough, and wasn't rushed. Dr. Micev has performed two revision surgeries on my right arm. which feel great now. He also has repaired my tennis elbows, one with Physical Therapy, and one with surgery. Also did a carpel tunnel and ulnar nerve release in my right arm.

Also used the Physical Therapy there also. All staff are really nice and willing to help.

This I will say, these right, two middle fingers, 11 days later are doing pretty well. I can stretch them almost straight and can almost squeeze a fist tight. One of the fingers straightens better than the other one so I have work to do. That to me is easy peasy when it comes to surgery. The pain level is is manageable. I have seen Dr. Mecev two times for osteoarthritis in my thumbs. He is very friendly, professional and thorough. He discussed all the treatment plans and let me decide what would work best for me. I had a recent amputation of my right index finger due to a previous work related injury. It could've been a lot more serious since I had infection that could’ve spread rapidly to the rest of my body and instead of the tip of my finger being amputated, it could have been the whole finger or worse my whole hand. Simply put - Dr. James Vahey & his staff are phenomenal. He's thorough, helpful, beyond educated in his profession and highly experienced, compassionate, patient and will take all the time in the world to answer your questions. I've never once felt rushed with him. He's definitely your "go to" for Carpal Tunnel (and more.) He knows what he's doing, that's a fact. So... yes, occasionally there may be times the office is busier than normal and the wait may be a little longer than you expected but TRUST ME when I say HE IS WORTH IT! He really is. The way I see it is... any good doctor is going to have somewhat of a wait. If you're going to someone and there's no wait... there's a problem. I would NOT get discouraged by having to wait now & then, that is just petty. I'd rather know I'm in good hands getting the care I deserve which is what you get here. He knows his line of work inside and out and will do all that he can to fix you up. Oh and the surgery is quick, easy, pretty much painless and his technique makes it so you can return to work ASAP. What more could you ask for?!? If you're putting it off or contemplating having it done, DON'T. GIVE HIM A SHOT AND GO HERE!!! HE'S SERIOUSLY THE "BEST" IN VEGAS and you'll have no regrets!!!!!!! Due to a hectic lifestyle, this review is long overdue. I can't say enough good things about Dr Gluck. After having been misdiagnosed by another facility, I developed a severe bone infection and was in danger of losing my finger. A friend recommended Dr Gluck at HCON. Long story short, Dr Gluck saved my finger. It was a long process that involved several surgeries, but Dr Gluck thoroughly explained each successive step. He patiently answered my redundant questions and seriously impressed me with his knowledge and skill. He definitely sets the standard, and if you are looking for a competent, compassionate, and excellent hand surgeon, Dr Gluck is the doctor for you.

Dr. Vahey was knowledgeable and nice and the surgery he did was a success for my issues I was having. He can be a bit scatterbrained at times so that can be frustrating having to constantly remind him of symptoms and what not. The front desk staff was nice but the therapy staff was a different story. The therapist themselves were awesome, it's the assistant they have that isn't so much. She rushes you and can be extremely rude, worries more about her "schedule" than the patient actually rehabilitating themselves. If my hand issues came up again I would not go back there at all.

Dr. Vahey is very good and thorough in his work. He did surgery on my hand due to arthritis in 2003 with a new procedure. I healed very well and haven't had any problems with it. This past November I had to have 2 trigger fingers released and 4 weeks later my left hand due to arthritis had several procedures on that hand. His staff is very kind, friendly and knowledgeable with therapy procedures, and willing to help you at every turn. Five stars from me. I don't hesitate to recommend him and his staff.

I would like to say that this was my first time having Carpal Tunnel Endoscopic Surgery and Dr. Gluck and his assistants were wonderful as always are his staff in his office. My mom fell and shattered her wrist bones and was referred to a few hand surgeons. I helped her do some research and was impressed with Dr. Gluck's profile and all the reviews he got so she decided to have her wrist operated by him. Dr. Gluck did an amazing job. Everyone was so amazed at her speed of recovery. She was back to use her hand and even able to golf in less than two months after the surgery. Moreover, he's very considerate and personable. I was referred to Dr. Gluck by a friend after I had been seen by the Minimally Invasive Hand Institute. I wanted another opinion as that doctor had recommended immediate surgery. Dr. Gluck explained that the diagnosis was accurate however he didn't see any reason to immediately go to surgery and gave me several other options. I broke my right ring finger and frayed my tendon. I also had soft tissue damage to my middle and pinky fingers. Dr. Vahey and his staff were fantastic. They explained every step of my process to me as I went through surgery and rehab. They had me doing physical therapy in a week. As always, there is some pain along the way to recovery and my outcome is spectacular. I was always greeted with smiles and I did my physical therapy (homework) as I was instructed. Dr Gluck is a very caring and skilled surgeon. I went to 2 other hand specialists in town who were not able to properly diagnose the problem with my right thumb. As soon as I presented to Dr Gluck he immediately was able to pin point the exact location of my pain. He took a conservative approach at first which included a few injections. Since they did not totally correct the problem he ultimately performed surgery to the area. Thanks to Dr Gluck I have regained almost all of the strength and mobility in my right hand. Not only took he outstanding care of me but also his surgery assistant and his anesthesiologist at Desert Spring Hospital were fantastic. I went to Dr Gluck, much in need with 1/3 rd of my pinky that had accidentally been amputated the evening before.The hospital ER Made many mistakes and as a result I was in immense pain and in need of immediate precision medical attention.
As extremely busy as DR Gluck was , he still took me in and did the surgical repairs that I was much in need of.
His surgical skills were and are excellent!
He even called me at home on the weekend on more than one occasion to check in on me and see how I was doing..

When ever I called , scared and in pain, he always called me back, talked to me and If I needed medical attention I could go right to his office.
He sincerely cares about his patients and goes over and above to make sure that his patients are kindly, and professionally taken care of.

He has physical therapy in his office so that he can over see it and make certain it was dine correctly and that I as well as all of his patients were not in any distress.

He is is very through and found the exact nerve damage that I incurred as a result of the accident which another doctor missed.. I am confident in his abilities. He an amazing physician, brilliantly skilled, sincerely caring and attentive..
His staff has always been pleasant, kind and a pleasure to go into their office.

Yesterday Dr. Micev treated me for tenosyvitis in my hand. I cannot say enough good things about the treatment I got. He patiently explained my situation and all the alternatives for treatment. Dr. Vahey recently operated on my left elbow and right hand. The results were perfect, recovery painless and fast! This is a doctor that one doesn't easily find! He spends time with the patient, explains everything clearly, has perfectly understandable written instructions, has a terrific office staff, phone calls are answered by real people no recordings and menus.
