Stay far away from this place!

1. The worst pain I ever experienced getting 3 fillings. This was my first time crying in the chair while getting fillings. I felt every bit of him drilling my teeth which I’ve never experienced before.

2. After receiving these filling, I have extreme pain in each tooth he worked on. It’s so hard for me to eat certain things now and my tooth hurts when I floss…. Things I’ve never experienced before.

3. Won’t get in a chair until 20-30 min after your appointment time. Waited 40 min once and got sent away due to low staff.

4. I needed a referral to see an endodontist for pain in 4 teeth. They emailed me a referral to get my wisdom teeth removed….. I don’t have my wisdom teeth

5. When I finally got the right referral and I’m at the endodontist, my general dentist said the 4 teeth that I am having trouble with are my wisdom teeth…..again, I don’t have my wisdom teeth.

Unprofessional, low care quality, and I left with more problems than I started with. Currently trying to get everything corrected at a new place.

Found Icon Dental after calling 20+ other dentists on a Saturday morning to see if they could fit me in for an exam that day. They were the only ones that agreed to see me that wasn't overly expensive for just an exam. Very affordable, actually. Dr. Yang took his time to answer all my many questions and gave me a very thorough exam. The rest of the staff was very kind and helpful as well. From the moment i walked in, the ambient was great. I was greeted by Natalie the office manager. Tina the front receptionist illuminates the whole office with her joy and professionalism. Layla took xrays and made sure everything was set up for my procedure.

I have been going to Icon Dental near15 years and have never been disappointed by their care and service. Last visit was today (26 Jan 26) for a regular check-up and cleaning. As always, Dr Yang was very professional, taking the time to explain the condition of my teeth and gums and what I should do in the future to take the vest care of them. Extremely in-depth and through examination, taking the time to make sure all is looked at and nothing is missed. They took x-rays and put the photos up on the screen in the exam room and showed me areas of concern and where I should pay particular attention to keep my gums healthy. As always, Janet in the reception and billing area professionally took care of possible billing/payment options, interface with the dental insurance company and setting up a follow-up appointment. The whole Icon Dental team staff is magnificent...the dental care , service and post-service is the best you can get. I highly recommend them. I'm leaving this review to help someone else. I was recently evaluated here. All I cared about was getting my teeth cleaned because I believe in going often to get your teeth thoroughly cleaned. My insurance (Medicaid) covered the cleaning here but I was very disappointed. The cleaning took less than 15 minutes. The dentist did it himself but I even wrote on my paperwork I wanted a good cleaning.
But what really upsets me is that they are not preventative. They told me I had 4 cavities that needed to be filled.

Well I bought my own dental insurance so I could go back to my old dentist who I trust. He just evaluated me yesterday.

I don't have any cavities!!!

Thank God I don't have any cavities but that's so upsetting because I could have gotten unnecessary work done on my teeth. That's serious and dangerous.

I just didn't get a good feeling with Icon. When I asked them to show me where the cavities were in my mouth, they acted hesitant like I didn't believe them. I was just asking so I knew where they were .
They also try getting you to apply for financial help which really isn't help with the high interest and they try to push braces on people. They give off the impression of being very money driven.

I wouldn't want anyone else to waste a cleaning visit or their hard earned money. Or worse have unnecessary work done on their teeth.

I go to Dr. Flores at North Decatur if anyone is looking for a trustworthy office.

The entire team at Icon Dental is nothing short of amazing! From the moment I walk in, I feel welcomed, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. The staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I’ve always struggled getting x-rays done (small mouth), but they handle it like total pros—patient, gentle, and never make me feel awkward. I have a real big fear of the dentist. Because of this I haven’t seen a dentist for years. I love icon dental!!! I've been on search for a dental family that will take compassion for my needs and guide me without the hassle oF being over charged for services. I called 6 different dentists for an emergency crown attachment. Icon was the only one that called me back. They were able to get me in right away and address the situation quickly. I personally am terrified of the dentist but they were kind from the beginning. Everyone knows the dentist is expensive but even with little insurance coverage prices are very reasonable. Dr. Williams was very informative and patient with my questions. Nayelle was very kind and kept me very comfortable which I appreciated. Janet informed me very well about payment options and even took the time to go over my insurance coverage and last but not least Tina in the front was kind and patient.
