The ladies at the check in desk are amazing (I would give them 5 stars if it was just about them) but that’s about it. Dr. Costa, nurses, and techs are all very dismissive; I was treated like a nuisance, like I had no business being there, and like my symptoms were invalid; I was told by Dr. Costa that I wasn’t experiencing certain symptoms (like it’s all in my head), I was told by a nurse that my issues were neurological before any kind of cardiologist evaluation, the techs talk to you like you’re a toddler, and if you ask any questions you’re talked to like you’re inconveniencing everyone. They did the absolute bare minimum for me and took months to do it. The check out person was extremely rude also. They wasted my time and my money and treated me like crap in the process.

Extremely disappointed with this clinic. My husband needed cardiac clearance for knee replacement surgery on January 26, 2026. An abnormal EKG led to a nuclear stress test and a PET-EKG in late November. We needed the results to either proceed with the surgery or delay it until any further cardiac problems were resolved. My husband can’t drive, and I couldn’t drive either right after the results came out, because I had hip surgery. We asked for the clinic to please send the results to our PCP since we couldn’t get to the clinic. They sent the report, but not the summary or anything that would indicate whether my husband’s surgery was advisable.

We were finally able to get to Intermountain last Friday. When we got into the exam room, the PA told us my husband had what appears to be a blockage. WTH??! He could have died between the time he had the tests and the time they told us what they’d found. They should have called us the day they got the results. We could have made arrangements to get him there, had we known it was this serious.

We left the appointment immediately after we heard what the PA said about the testing. That was last Friday. Today is Monday. We were fortunate enough to be able to get an appointment with a highly recommended cardiologist, who will be doing an angiogram next Tuesday.

And we had to postpone the knee surgery - potentially for another six months- because this office apparently doesn’t understand how surgery clearances work. So my husband has to suffer from the knee pain for another half a year.

We won’t be back. Extremely disappointed. Dr. Bedotto was great. We really liked Dr. Patel. But there’s something terribly wrong with the way Intermountain is running this clinic.

My husband had his second appointment with Dr. Jay Shu on Thursday, October 16. His office on Warm Springs is very clean, and our overall experience—from the receptionists to Dr. Shu himself—was excellent. The receptionists were friendly and greeted us as soon as we walked in. Ariana, his assistant, was also wonderful and very accommodating.

Dr. Shu was attentive, listened carefully and never rushed through the appointments. Both times, he took his time explaining everything we needed to know which we truly appreciated.

Extremely Disappointed with this Facility!!!!! Never again!!!!!! This has been one of the most frustrating and unprofessional experiences I have had when trying to schedule care for my mother. The cardiology department has no Spanish-speaking staff, which makes it extremely difficult for Spanish-speaking patients to make or confirm appointments. When I tried calling to schedule, no one could assist us in Spanish.

During my in-person visit, I was not informed that I needed to be added to my mother’s file in order to help manage her appointments. This lack of communication only created more confusion and unnecessary delays. Staff came across as dismissive and unhelpful, which left us feeling disrespected and unwelcome!!!

It is deeply concerning that a medical facility serving a diverse community does not provide bilingual support for its patients, especially when so many rely on Spanish as their primary language!! To make matters worse, their scheduling system is currently being transitioned to AI, which makes it even harder to reach a live person for assistance.

Healthcare should be accessible, respectful, and inclusive. I strongly urge this facility to hire bilingual staff and provide better training to ensure that Spanish-speaking patients and their families receive the same level of care and respect as everyone else!!!!

I have been a heart patient since 1993 when I had a triple open heart By-Pass for 4 blockages. Since then I've had 4 stents implanted, both carotid arteries cleaned out, 2 Pacemakers. This has happened in Maryland, Florida, and Las Vegas and I've always been blessed with out standing cardiologist. My long time cardiologist recently retired and placed me with Cardiologist Dr. Neville F. Mistry and Dr Gl Leichman who both work out of the Warm Springs West Road office of Intermountain Health. Both of these excellent cardiology doctors have quickly won my confidence, respect, and friendship for the superb care they have provided to me and their keen attention to my medical records. I strongly recommend them and this practice to anyone needing a top notch cardiologist. Their office is a highly efficient operation with a friendly and caring staff.

I’ve been trying to establish care here for months, but unfortunately my experience has been consistently disappointing. My appointments keep getting canceled—one of them just an hour beforehand. That last-minute cancellation cost me a day of work and $30/hour in childcare, which felt incredibly frustrating and inconsiderate.

I do understand that unexpected things happen, like system outages, but having no backup plan in place feels unprofessional—especially for a large medical group. As a healthcare worker myself, I know systems fail, but patient care shouldn’t come to a halt because of it.

To be fair, they did give more notice the second time, which I appreciated. Still, I’m a mom to a 1-year-old and finding time to care for myself is already a challenge. When my rare appointments are repeatedly canceled, it sends the message that patients’ time and needs are not a priority.

If this is the standard level of service, it’s important that others—especially those I refer—are aware of what to expect.

I had two appointments this week. One with the cardiologist Dr Jay Hsu, And my primary physician, Dr Kalra. I am, however, very disappointed with the lack of follow through with the referrals department on the MRI requested. It was first requested by Dr. Mirza in February, again in March, also with Dr. Cal, April 4, and I’m still waiting! I’m not only had to change my Appointment with the Orthopedic three weeks ago, but now find I am going to my appointment with him Friday not having required MRI needed for him to go further. Not sure what hoops people have to go through to get people to do their jobs, but I’m extremely disappointed, As a pain in my head has not gone away, obviously, and the delay in doing necessary procedures are now delayed because of this lack of follow-through. How long does a person have to wait For a referral to be completed?
