Dr Eells is a great doctor,
I have been with Dr Jim Eells for over 5 years now and look forward to every time we visit, he does a ton of preventative tests to make sure I’m healthy, he doesn’t prescribe what’s not needed, he responds to me immediately if I need ANYTHING. He is super professional and will listen and take action on everything you tell him, In my view he is the best in town!
The only reason I am here for this review is the unfortunate horrible medical care in Las Vegas, Most doctors and their staff in vegas don’t care about anything other than prescribing you max meds and the bottom $ Line.
Oh - Dr Eells office staff gals (Deanne and Karen) are awesome, courteous, pleasant and thorough in their work. 10 out of 10 stars !
Cheers.

Always on time, compassionate, empathetic, easy to talk to and relates exceptionally well. Hands-down the most effective and efficient doctor visits I've had (a patient for 3 years). Friendly, helpful staff as well.

Great Doctor! I just had my second physical here & it is very concise & comprehensive. Dr. Eells spent a lot of time with me going over the results of the blood work & urinalysis as well as my ongoing weight loss. I recommend!

My wife and I are in our late eighties. Having Dr Eells as our primary physician for the last several years has been a boon to our lives. He understands our needs and always provides any assistance we might need. His office staff is very friendly and helpful which makes our lives a little more pleasant. We would certainly refer anyone to this office.

My wife is a patient here. The doctor seems decent, but the front desk staff is insensitive and unhelpful.
My wife entered the doctor's office 60 seconds ahead of me and they took her back to the room.
My wife wanted me to attend to come in with her for emotional support.
I was told by a lady at the front desk, that I can not go in. Doctor's policy is that he wants to see the patient alone.
I found that strange. But I can understand why that might be a good policy.
But then, when I mentioned that my wife wanted me to be there with her, the front desk lady said "there is no reason for her to have anyone in the room with her."
Ok... But that's my wife's preference. 🤔
What basis does someone at front-desk have to determine whether my wife's preference for emotional support is valid?
Maybe my wife prefers or needs to have emotional support.
That seems like a valid request, no?
Also, this was not the first time they'd seen me. So they understood that I'm her husband.
It would be better for his staff to say something like, "I'm sorry. She didn't mention anything about you going in with her. Let me ask her to verify."
That would give my wife dignity of choice.
So, all in all, I can't speak for the doctor's skillset, but his staff is difficult to work with.
Perhaps, it may be a form of class-ism. I can't tell, and I can't state for certain.
But my experience is actually similar to Nick Cambell's earlier review from an experience he says occurred on 11/21.
Nick's experience suggests that this might be a pattern and not an isolated incident.

As a doctor, James Ellis is an intuitive diagnostician. He takes a very proactive approach to your health and well-being. His attention to your health details gives one the security that you are in good hands. His knowledge of medication which he uses judiciously promotes wellness. His fondness for natural remedies compliments his goal on treating the whole person.
As a human being, his bedside manner, compassion and kindness are second to none.
With the competent management of his office staff Lilly, Abi and Stephanie, doctor visits are once more "painless"!
For anyone wanting a primary care concierge physcian my wife and I have no reservations in recommending Dr. Jame R Ellis to take care of the most import thing we have in life--our health!

I am not one to leave comments for a business unless it has exceeded my expectations and Dr. Eells office is one. My husband and I are seen here and YES we do pay that extra amount annually that Dawn has stated and YES we pay a co-pay but is there really a price on our health?? His holistic approach to things, the time he spends speaking to us, remembering our issues, AND the fact I can text him on a WEEKEND for prescription refills etc is more than the price I pay. My husband nor I have ever felt "bullied" or have felt uncomfortable in the presence of any of the office staff. Nurse Lilly is such a delight & is always so informative if I have a payment issue, I guess she could be a sweet "pitbull", shes filled all my prescriptions when asked, answered all my questions as informative as possible, and even cares to know how MY days are going. Abby is such a great sight to see & so well mannered! Always saying hello or acknowledging us even if shes preoccupied. I intend to keep coming here no matter what Dr. Eells has had to do in order to help his patients. Its rare to find a Dr that can make you feel like family. I recommend OVER AND OVER AND OVER!! 10 stars if I could!

Dr. Elles was a personal friend of mine before I joined his practice. Yes he does spend plenty of time in the exam room with his patients but make no mistake about it, you are paying top dollar for his time. He schedules a small amount of patients each day because he can. On top of billing your insurance for each visit he charges his own made up copay of $35 even after he has agreed to your insurance’s co pay policy. This is illegal and Called double dipping according to insurance protection laws. Every 3 months you must pay $375 out of pocket to be his patient. He often schedules you for unnecessary monthly visits so he can collect that $35 copay. His head nurse that works for him specializes in being aggressive when it comes to collecting payments. Like other clients, I too have been on the receiving end of her intimidation tactics when I had questions about why he charges $35 copay per visit when he agreed to the terms of my insurance company’s $10 a visit copay. She made absolutely no sense while attempting to explain why. After a few more of my questions she admitted that she needs to contact their billing company to find the answer. Every time I visited the office, I witnessed nurse Lilly answer the phone to someone enquiring about his practice. Very rudely and unprofessionally let them know that they only take private insurance and there’s a $1500 annual fee. As long as you are an established patient she will be kind to you. But don’t try to question Dr. Elle’s contract policies or she immediately turn into an aggressive pit bull. Dr. Elles specializes in putting struggling opiate addicts on Suboxone. This was the main reason I joined his practice. For the first 2 years of seeing him, he was using other doctor’s special DEA license’s to prescribe the Suboxobe due to his serious legal problems he was facing with the medical board. It was like trying to pull teeth each time I needed a refil on the Suboxone. Eventually he was allowed to apply for his own special DEA license to legally prescribe it. All it is, is a three day computer given test . These Suboxobe doctors are in no way experts trained in how this medication should be given nor any long term side effects it has on the human body. Suboxobe has saved lives and I’m certainly not against it being used for withdrawal and cravings for a short period of time. Studies have never been conducted on any more than a 30 day trial. Unfortunately for his patients, me included, his goal is to encourage you to keep taking this medication. He acts so amazed in the progress you’ve made by sticking with it. What he fails to tell you is that Suboxone is essentially a more powerful opiate that binds to your pain receptors keeping you from cravings and relapse. I would go weeks without being able to pass a bowel movement so here comes the next RX you have to take called Linzess. Rarely would I get relief from taking it. My perfectly clear porsalyn skin began breaking out into severe acne. He assured me that there weren’t any components within Suboxone that could cause acne. After 3 years of taking Suboxone I became tired and resentful that I had spent approximenntly $5000 out of pocket to take this maintenance drug. I decided it was time to taper off but had no clue what I was about to experience. And neither did he. It was the most physically and mentally painful experience I had ever had. Severe depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, extreme virdigo, violent vomiting, sweating, uncontrollable mood swings. I couldn’t eat, sleep, drive or care for my children. They don’t train these doctors on how to succesfully get their patients off Suboxone. The only technique mensioned in their computer course is a slow taper. I ended up having to check into a rehab so I didn’t kill myself. I was so suicidal that the rehab sent me to a mental institution. Insainly terrifying there! It took about 4 to 6 months for the vertigo to subside and my skin meracuously never broke out again. Unfortunately the damage had already been done. I wil forever have acne scars. Don’t trust this MD. $ driven

lady on 11/21 at 4:36 PM answered phone by just saying "hello" and said "do you know what Concierge means? It's not for everyone" I said ok thank you and she just hung up.
I'm sure this is a great practice and would hate to see someone like that ruin a business

He is the best Doc I have ever had in 57 years of life. He "ACTUALLY TRULY CARES" about his patients.....
He will check in on me via text message; even when I have no appointments scheduled.....
Not a typical doctor in this "run and gun" society.....
He is truly a "ThrowBack" to old days when doctors would come to your house.....
Lastly, even other doctors in town recognize DR Eells cutting edge, state of art, and out of the box approaches to medicine as being extremely progressive, and beneficial for his patients.
Leave, your current Doctor and come see Doctors Eells; it will be one of the best moves you will ever make.
I left Doctor Howard Coker 10 1/2 years ago to see Doctor Eells. So now I have an excellent Accountant, Attorney, and Doctor...........

Dr. Ellis is an extrordinarily kind man who is willing to spend time listening to patients and getting to know their medical histories. Further, his physical exam is extremely thorough and gave me the assurance that, as a 68 year old male, I may survive 2 or 3 more years!!!

Best doctor in town. I have been a patient of Dr Eells for 3 years now and wouldn't consider anyone else. Every time I've been here my wait time in the waiting room has been nill. I never wait for Dr Eells. Can't say the same for any other doctor I've been to. Dr. Eells is kind, compassionate, considerate and very smart. I feel like part of the family when I come into his office. You don't have those kinds of experiences at other doctor offices. Dr Eells is very knowledgeable when it comes to the human body and resolving any problems / concerns that I have asked about. I would recommend Dr Eells to all my friends and family. Being a part of his practice is worth the price of admission.
