STAY AWAY
Had an emergency appointment on 05/16/23, post Sunrise ER- severe CT extravasation injury.
I came for help with chest pains and shortness of breath.
She, along with Ram Singh cancelled it on the spot, insted- slid a separation letter for me to sign, lying, that it was a signature "for my med. records",needed for Thoracic surgeon in UTA, as she is "siding with those who falcified my medical records (Dr.Pham and thoracic surg-Neuman Jahangir), who infected me with Sepsis during open heart surgery 1.5 years ago.I can not heal since that deadly infection. Not one day In 1.5 years was OK 😢
She said, that she knows nothing about heart related Sepsis and continued to misdiagnose me and neglect proper care (Catheterisation. See attachment).
She sent me to five cardiologists and all of them neglected me catheterisation.
They lied that DR.Ram Singh (her office partner)does not perform Catheterisation himself (HE DOES. ALL THE TIME).
She neglected me proper care and threw a letter of separation instead of emergency appointment, post extravasation poisoning at one of her hospitals-Sunrise.
I finally filed a grievance post that poisoning(med.records are also falcified at Sunrise and she was angry when I came in as she knew, that I was in ER and filed grievance, after being threatened another legal hold, as I asked for Parathyroid gland blood work due to Hypercalcemia, post that extravasation in the same ER.
She called me post office "dumping", lol.
I asked: "Why did u lie, that Ram Singh is not doing cath himself and sent me to 5 of ur doctors that told me: "to go to the gym", knowing, that I was taken from ur treadmill only 5 minutes into stress test?
My BP was- 186/126 and u gave me a chemical instead?
She said:
"I needed a second opinion and YOU ARE NOW WAY TOO SICK WITH EXTRAVASATION ANYWAY for him to do it".
What was they thinking for 6 months, prior to extravasation- neglecting me cath, pretty much waiting for me "to expire", as I endured a lot of hospital abuse/dumping-post hidden Sepsis infection of my heart.
Very neurotic doctor, who denies what she said before, neglects proper care and uses a lot of lies(she said that I will benefit from a heart transplant as it looks bad), later stated that she never said it.
Dr.Benson is one of those unethical doctors, who knows about "DUMPING" and ABUSE I endured from Valley Health Group, yet-"Dumps" me, while using neglect, lies and ongoing misdiagnosis.
We trust cardiologists with our lives. Money is all they care about.
She is rude, short tempered and does not listen at all.
Just storms out of the office.
She pretends that she does not understand what Septic infection during open heart surgery does to my heart.💔
She DUMPS you, when you need her the most.
CATH-life saving procedure was neglected to me by her office partner-Ram Singh and five doctors.
ALL-siding with my surgeon-Jahangir, who is now in malpractice #3 if not 4. And infected me with Sepsis of the heart.
Very tight and discriminating community of cardiologists and thoracic surgeons in LV.
Illegal and unethical actions.
She just LEFT ME- TO DIE (see my diagnosis in attachment, its 1.5 years, post Sepsis infection during open heart surgery.😢
My horror story is now reported for Investigation post Large oral dose of LIDOCAINE poisoning at her hospital - SINRISE.
I am very sick, post that poisoning, but all SUNRISE hospital records were FORGED, AS USUAL.
PD will b looking into investigation as well as video surveillance team, that was contacted.
Now-her office is hanging up when I call instead of finding me a replacement cardiologist( per Hippa laws).
This is something, I never thought even existed in the field of "Helping others".
I hold a Doctorate in Psychology from LA.
Horrid.
Inhumane.

Dr. Kathleen Benson had been my wife's cardiologist for over a decade. She is absolutely ... as others have mentioned ... the most CARING and dedicated doctor we've ever been to. Yes, often you wait too long past your appointed time. However, read the reviews that mention how attentive she is to you, and truly listens! So my take is that is the reason for the waits, and that they have more patients than there is time for.
Dr. Singh is great as well. And, when they are called away for surgery ~ they do it! It is not a ruse to avoid taking scheduled appointments. Just be glad that if you have an emergency and need surgery, they will come to the hospital to save your life! Their other non-emergency patients must wait. I want a doctor like that ... and I DO ... now that Drs Benson & Singh are my cardiologists as well having been my wife's for all those years.
My guess is that many of the poor reviews are from a poor patient with not enough patience and understanding. So, BRAVO, Dr Benson & Dr Singh –– keep on doing what you're doing ... our lives depend on it, on your expertise and professionalism!!!

Had to move to Washington to get good medical care. I was told I was ok…they couldn’t find anything wrong … but I couldn’t breath or walk 5 ft without collapsing. Washington Drs discovered my heart valves were functioning at only 20%. They did not expect me to survive, but I’m still here! Every time I went to an appt I waited 1 1/2 - 2 hrs… & even after waiting I was told she had to leave & I would have to reschedule. My body was convulsing & she paid no attention to it. Her nurse brought it to her attention while I was there & she didn’t even turn her head to look at me! Ended up being severe low potassium from the diuretics I was taking … retaining so much water because my heart valves were not working!! Horrible experience! Please stay away from her!

Doctor Benson's personality is amazing. She is kind, caring, and seems generally interested in her work. When I get to see her, I know I'm getting the best service. I have been going to see her for three now for an issue that seems to be still a mystery but that's life. As far as I am concerned, five stars. Staff at her office is my favorite staff too since they all seem to know what they are doing. Beatrix is great too, kind and knowledgeable.

Dr.Benson is a fine doctor. However, the staff does not know what they are doing and are very unorganized. They have cost my husband a job as no one looked at "conformation" form on a fax that they sent to the employer that did not go through. My husband was on the same medications without review for several years. They have sent appointment conformation texts several hours after the appointment, that they scheduled without letting us know prior. This has happened twice. The wait time for the office is usually several hours to be seen.

The office is always busy & many times the poor Girls on Staff have to Deal with irate Patients with NO Patience! They ARE Trying to get us in, & keep things runnin' smoothly for Dr. Benson & Dr. Singh! 👏💕👏

This place is a scam! It’s hard to describe how unprofessional all the people working there are! I have never encountered anything even close to this place. Do yourself and your health a favor and find a different place… doing that will take you less time oppose to sitting in their unpleasant waiting area.

3 visits and we’re finding a new cardiologist. 2 stars because the staff tries to be polite. Typical first complaint, be prepared to wait 1.5-2 hours after your appointment time. While they emphasize they’re taking care of patients like you, they take on way too many patients to give anyone a scheduled appointment time. They do not offer any type of billing or payment programs. They defy the HIPPA laws, due to insufficient staffing it’ll take 30+ days to receive your medical records. Apparently the fax machine is also broken. Management actually told us that their front office is uneducated and doesn’t know their policies. they will not perform necessary medical testing without payment upfront, throughout the office are signs that they reserve the right to refuse service to anyone that gets upset about their policies, lack of cooperation or 2 hr wait times. To say the least we will not be returning to this cardiologist office. I cannot recommend.

Not good!! I was told by one of there own vendors that doctors are good but lose alot of patients because so unorganized..I don't care how friendly staff is if there not organized. Set appt. For me..show up then tells me supposed to be phone appt. Then I go home supposed to get a call for my results at certain time and no one calls..I feel this place adds to stress with people already having heart issues

Was told I’d be receiving a heart monitor in the mail from some third party… not told who that third party is or how to contact them, call the office in regular business hours and get no awnser regardless of what number you press. 2 out of 3 scheduled appointments end up canceling or reschedule AFTER you arrive for the appointment

I started seeing Doctor Benson when I first moved here earlier this year around May. I needed a refill on my cholesterol medication and it’s a specialty medication that I have been on for 2 years. She insisted on multiple tests (that cost me $80-$120 PER TEST). A total of 5 different tests. I did those tests and completed the last one in JULY 2021. I’ve called her office and spoke to almost everyone there, nobody will give my test results to the insurance company or to me so that I can get my medication. This entire office is focused on money and not the health of their patients. Once they got my money they refuse to give the results of any test to me. It should be against the law!

She wasn't seeing new patience but she made time to see me today because I needed to see her before I go into back surgery so she sent me to go do more testing to see if my heart is good enough to get my back surgery done I really like her so awesome to take time for me.

In the past there was always a long wait because they were so busy. Now I'm in & out a lot quicker. You MUST wear a mask to be seen in office. As I'm highly claustrophobic they make sure to have oxygen ready so I can wear one.
The care I get here is always top notch.

Dr. Benson really takes the time to listen to her patients. I have been seeing her since 2011. She takes the time to see what treatments are needed instead of sending you for unnecessary surgery. The office has been working to reduce the wait before seeing the doctor.

Not once in 4 years has this office or doctor been on time. 3 to 4 hour waits. Dr. Benson is good, plan on spending half the day. Office staff ok, but I'm changing doctors. You can't rely on appointments at all.

I agree with a few of the other people who wrote reviews about A BUSY DOCTOR OFFICE MEANS YOU ARE SEEING A REALLY GOOD DOCTOR. I don’t care about the 2 hour wait! I’ve been to a couple other cardiologists that didn’t do anything but a 48 holter monitor. Of course they found nothing. And sent me on my way.
Then in November 2017 my heart took a turn and decided it wanted it’s RESTING heart rate to be anywhere from 115-140 BPM. Once again, that’s RESTING. I could barely walk to my car without passing out.
I decided to find a new cardiologist and I chose Dr Benson. From the first appt until now (couldn’t tell you how many appts I’ve gone to), she has GENUINELY CARED about my heart health and general health. She did an EKG every time I went to an appt, a couple were abnormal. She gave me the stress tests first before prescribing any medicine. She told me it was a bad idea to start me on medication and get tainted results. Stress tests were all normal... except my heart rate after the treadmill one. Over an hour after the test and my BPM wouldn’t drop below 130/140 and I had best pains (which I had been feeling before anyways). She was actually concerned enough that she recommended I go to the ER. I declined because that’s how I felt on a regular basis anyways.
She then started me on medication to slow my heart rate. After one of the abnormal EKGs she gave me a 30 day holter monitor. She said for the most part it was normal except my pulse went way too high too often (sinus tachycardia) so she upped my dose of the heartbeat slowing medication. I still currently take that and it has slowed my BPM a bit. Now it’s anywhere from 90-120 BPM. Better than before but she was not satisfied. So she just ordered a CTA (coronary CTscan w/Contrast) for me to go get done at a hospital. I will be doing that ASAP.
Like I said, she isn’t just dosing me with meds to cover up the underlying cause. She is actually ordering tests and bloodwork and doing everything she can to help figure out what’s wrong with me. AND SHE ACTUALLY TAKES THE TIME TO LISTEN TO ME. SHE IS VERY NICE AND CALM AND SHE MAKES ME FEEL SAFE AND AT EASE. She will stay in the room as long as she needs to get as much info from me as possible about what has been happening to me since the last time I saw her.
I am so glad I found Dr. Benson... she is literally an angel in disguise. I thank her for her continuing service to me!

Dr. Benson is an amazing Cardiologist. I have been seeing her for 2 years and yes you do have to wait a while for your appointments. A busy office means the doctors are good. She is kind, does not miss anything, and is able to see the whole picture. I have a LOT of issues and I feel 100% safe in her care. Because of this I would wait 5 hours to see her. My family has very bad genetics for heart issues and she takes this very seriously when others have just blew it off because I am young. I could not imagine any other doctor giving me better care. My family loves her too and they are not easy to please.... lol, I couldn't praise her any higher if I tried.

Dr. Benson herself is fine it’s her office staff they are completely disorganized and inept. I have never had such a terrible experience. I went in to have my heart checked I paid for all of the tests out of pocket because everything went to a deductible. I went to the lab that they sent me to for blood work I paid for it. It came back to the doctor and they said it had been contaminated I’m the one that is screwed. I’ve been waiting for a CT scan two months! The office staff is absolutely the worst in the world

WARNING WARNING WARNING: DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE FOR ANY KIND OF CARE!!!!! I was just there again for an appointment, my appointment time was changed last week from 1:30 to 12:30 because I informed this office I had a primary care doctor appointment at 2:40, showed up today at 11:15 and sat there sat there and sat there, at 1:40 I asked how much longer and was told still 2 patient in front of me, told the girl in front I had to go because I have another doctor appointment that you all we're fully aware of last week, she asked me if I wanted to reschedule I said NO, THIS isn't the first time that I've waited HOURS AT THIS DOCTOR OFFICE, they don't care about the patient all they care about is the $$$$$$ MONEY it's like a factory they don't give you the quality of care you deserve, they over book every time, this doctor's office should be reported to the medical board and insurance board, I personally will be writing asking for an investigation because there is no excuse for the long wait time EVERY TIME YOU GO HERE!!!!!

I've been "" assisned " Dr. Kathleen M. Benson ( from Veterans ) for some 6-7 months and about 6 appointments ------- she cancels appointments almost every time -- when she "actually" shows up she's 2-3 hours late. If she would just keep her appointments " on time - on target" would be a good start. I don't think she actually does surgery - has others in office to do that. She "sets " you need another test by so and so dr. And I'll see you again ---meanwhile you wait -and-wait -and wait.
