It was the worst experience ever! They tried to find the equipment in the middle of crown operation and couldn't find it, so unprofessional. They couldn't get my crown done so the dentist gave the assistant the job for temporary crown and she was also the worst, tried 4 times while I lay down. I decided to get my crown somewhere else. If you think about your money and peace of mind don't go to this place!

I made my first appointment (which was rescheduled by them the first time) with doctor Ellen but when I came they told me she’s busy and gave me another doctor. Ok, anything can happen, I can understand. Then they scheduled me for the next appointment in two weeks for cleaning and whitening. But when I came, they told me they will only do cleaning today, but no whitening. Without explanation why!!! Ok, things can happen again I thought. We scheduled an appointment for whitening 8 am before my work. The same day I called clinic and asked to reschedule the day before when I’m off because after the procedure I decided it would be better for me to stay at home and rest, instead of being in pain at work. They agreed and I canceled my hair appointment for this because my teeth are my first priority. They called me back and said they can’t not because they have some emergency, but when I canceled an appointment at all, they told me ok, I still can come. But how about an emergency?? This is very disrespectful to me, to my schedule, my time and my dental issue.

Overcharged and misled after 15 years as a patient

I was a loyal patient at Lakemead Dental consistently getting cleaning and checkups , but I can no longer trust this office. They charged me $946 more than what my Delta Dental EOB showed I owed for crowns not submitted to insurance and never told me they were putting in these so called “upgrades.”

On top of the billing concerns, I am now questioning whether the treatment was even necessary. as I was told a crown with a gap had allegedly developed a cavity that “spread” to two other teeth — something I later learned is not how cavities work.

To make matters worse, Sabrina in billing ignored multiple calls when I tried to resolve this. Patients deserve honesty, but Lakemead Dental gave me the opposite — I strongly recommend staying away.

Beware! Dentist is always rushing. Barely talks to you and uses a few incompetent assistants. We waited over an hour to get in to our appointment then waited more when we were called in and sat there. My crown was left long which left me with a jaw that pops. I highly recommend that if you value your time and health, you don’t choose lake mead dental. You’ll thank me! I should sue for malpractice after leaving my tooth messed up! Not sure my jaw will ever be the same. It’s slowly getting better but still pops.

Lake mead dental is absolutely the worst. I’ve been going to them for 10 years up until I stopped about a year ago. I can go on and on, but I’m just going to make this short and say that they do not care about your health. Only about money, they performed so many unnecessary work done to my teeth including 5 root canals and now I’m with another dentist fixing their “work”. The front staff are all rude and act like you’re bothering them all the time. Every single visit I waited about 20-30 mins in lobby to be seen and about 30mins to an hour, sometimes more in the chair. Sometimes I would wait so long my anesthesia would literally start wearing off. Honestly, none of them have any clue what they’re doing and most importantly they do not care about their patients. Do not waste your time and money here.

Everyone is very nice and very professional. I highly recommend this office. It’s not frantic rush rush like I’ve been to before. It’s quite relaxed and that helps because I’m nervous about dental work.

They have this girl when you pay "Sabina" so impolite, trashy and rude. The wait time is horrendous
Your appointment could be at 10:00 and you wait till 12:00 to be seen, sometimes they have to numb you again.
Sanitation of dental equipment is questionable.
Dental work is a joke as I had to do my same tooth twice.

I do not recommend wigwam or lake mead dental especially for anything cosmetic especially implants
they dona terrible job causing you bone loss by placing them improperly and then denying that they were placed
improperly Sabina and ellan owner and manager will try to avoid your calls as well as any responsibility for their dental work.
I have 2 implants that had to be removed because wigwam dental placed them improperly years ago. wigwam referredme to an oral surgeon to have them removed who also confirmed it was the fault of the dentist.

I cannot speak highly enough about this office and the incredible staff. I have past trauma with dental work, and hadnt seen a dentist in years. Everyone helped keep me so calm and comfortable, as my first visit was (as is so often the case) an emergency. Pam was key in calming me my first big visits, with attentive and caring energy. Dr. Norton is so clear with her communication, which as an autistic person I deeply appreciate. She was incredibly gentle and very concerned about making sure everything was pain free as I had extractions done.

The hygienist! If you dont like cleanings, go see Jen, she is phenomenal. No shaming here if you've not been to the hygienist for a while (she did my first ever cleaning) and she also pays close attention to ensuring that it doesn't hurt. An incredible human, I'm so grateful for her!

The folks at the front that I have met are so knowledgeable and kind. I always appreciate Angel and Jess for helping me with remembering my appointments and assisting with the juggling of insurance, payments, and scheduling. They both handle the chaos of a busy office with grace. I've also seen another hygienist, I've sadly forgotten her name, she was also very thoughtful and thorough. There are several other wonderful folks behind the scenes who have helped and assisted but I dont remember their names either, apologies.

I’ve never been so comfortable as I am here. As a younger person I had terrible experience which made me terrified of going to the dentist. I’d have true panic attacks so I avoided at all cost. I Have been going to Lakemead Dental, Wigwam Dental for 20 years. Dr Ellen is not only the best, but the only Dentist that I will let touch my teeth.
They do not try to rip you off, and tell you things you don’t need. Like other Dentist. She is a perfectionist.
I recently went to her Partner Dr Norton, and she is great also amazing.
The office staff at both offices are great. They all are polite and accommodating.
Her staff has been with her for along time.
The staff member’s Sabina, Melissa, Lulu, Addy, and Leticia are the best . All the staff at both locations are the best.
I moved to California 3 years ago, but I still will only go to Las Vegas to see her.
Even though my dental insurance only covers California providers.
Please try Lake Mead Dental or Wigwam dental. I know you will never be disappointed.
They do beautiful veneers and crowns, among everything else.
I just had new crowns put on. The ones Dr Ellen put on me 20 years lasted along time.
I met a lady in her office that had a full mouth full of old crowns she had put on somewhere else.
I ran into her again this month and she showed me her new ones. The whole mouth and they were gorgeous.

I love Lake Mead Dental! Such amazing and friendly staff! I used to hate going to the dentist but honestly I look forward to my visits even though I need to get work done on my teeth because of how amazing the staff is. Thank You, Doctor Ellen, for giving me my smile back! I went in missing one top front center tooth; and left the same day with a temporary three-unit bridge… just in time for Christmas! Superior customer service! Thanks to the Veterans Administration for authorizing payment for Dr. Ellen to provide my dental work. Dr. Ellen corrected my teeth bite. Doctor Ellen and her assistant Alicia meticulously replaced and realigned seven bottom crowns. Plus, the upper three-unit bridge and adjoining single crown. Perfect color match too. Beautiful work! Felt no pain with the septocaine. Doctor Ellen is such a perfectionist! Got my smile back!

Thanks also to other Lake Mead Dental team members: Rahma, Maria, Addie, Irina, and Yulia. Plus, front desk personnel Jackie Avila (no longer there), Sabina, Melissa, Lu Lu, and Haleigh. They are always courteous with a smile and call me the day before my appointments to remind me. Kudos to Bassima, the dental hygienist, who listened to my “old school” request for her to clean my teeth manually because they are so sensitive. Great experience in the back but the front need a lot of adjustment to be made. The front has to be my worst experience I have ever had. I highly recommend to go some where else as I am doing. I cant take the bad attitude of the front desk any longer. If you like being talked to with attitude and this is the spot for you. The only good thing is the people who work in the back THATS IT. I dont want to release names but one lady called me to reschedule due to my insurance not accepting my treatment when literally couple days ago someone else called to say I was good to go. She was surprised and did not know what to say but ask if I could go that week and she said that they are close due to someone having a case of covid 19. I love this office. I love coming in and always knowing what's going on with me. The staff is friendly and always keeps me in the loop so I never feel lost about what's going on. I've been coming to the place for years and am never disappointed. Not only are the assistants and front desk people really nice the doctor is awesome. Dr.Ellen has been my primary dentist since I was in middle school and she is the only person I trust to put sharp objects into my mouth. She always makes sure I'm comfortable and understand what's happening. I always had a fear of being at the dentist but she makes the experience not as terrifying or nearly as painful. I just moved to Nevada so I called this office to book a new appointment i spoke with the lady in the front before i even proceeded to book the appointment with the lady i asked if they accepted my insurance and gave her all the necessary information she said yes we accept that insurance and booked my appointment. Minutes before my appointment i get a call saying they cancelled my appointment because they don't accept my insurance. As i proceeded to explain my frustration jackie was very rude and kept cutting me off. She then said she didnt care what the lady said she was telling me what she wanted me to hear and said i could come in and pay a consultation fee of $200. After how she handled the call i dont think i would ever go there and would NEVER recommend them to anyone.
