The wait is absolutely ridiculous. A copay should be refunded at some point of having to wait that long. 3+ hours after my scheduled appointment time is outrageous. And I was early to my appointment. Going to the doctor’s office should not be an all day event.

Dr. Mark Kabins is an outstanding neurosurgeon. After my work injury, he took the time to explain my condition and treatment options clearly and never made me feel rushed. I underwent two back surgeries under his care, and throughout the process he was professional, compassionate, and honest about my recovery.

Even when I continued to have significant pain, Dr. Kabins didn’t give up on finding additional treatment options. He continued to monitor my condition and recommended the next appropriate steps, including pain management and evaluation for a spinal cord stimulator. I always felt that he listened to my concerns and wanted the best possible outcome for me.

His office staff has also been helpful and professional, making appointments and follow-up care as smooth as possible.

I appreciate Dr. Kabins’ dedication and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, skilled, and caring spine surgeon.

To anyone reading this who is struggling to manage pain or has a complex spine issue, DON’T GIVE UP HOPE! Dr. Kabins spent at least 30 minutes with me on my first appointment and went through every possible scenario of what could be causing my constant radiculopathy and progressive weakness and to the point of thinking outside the box.I still remember him saying at the beginning of our first visit together “I have more questions than answers right now”. Well, he took the time to treat me with dignity and found all of the answers and more. After a long and complicated surgery, he’s restored hope in my future. I’m relatively young with children and am well on the way to becoming active again.Dr. Kabins cares and I promise you will feel that as his patient. I wish I could give more stars.

Also, the office staff and surgical team are top notch!

The "Life-Restored" ReviewI am writing this review the day before I return to full duty, and I can honestly say I haven't felt this good in over two decades.Just seven weeks ago, my life took a terrifying turn. After a work injury on 3/14/2025 , my condition spiraled into a nightmare: I developed Cauda Equina Syndrome, which led to a neurogenic bladder and significant motor and sensory loss in my legs. I was admitted through the ER at Summerlin Hospital on an urgent/emergent basis.Dr. Mark Kabins was the surgeon who stepped in when things were at their worst. My case was incredibly complex, involving degenerative spondylolisthesis, spinal stenosis at multiple levels, a synovial cyst, and disc herniations. Dr. Kabins was thorough during the assessment and very direct about the risks involved. He didn't make empty promises; he just performed with incredible skill. The results have been nothing short of miraculous. To go from emergency spinal surgery on February 26th to being cleared for full-duty work by mid-April is a testament to the expertise found at Las Vegas Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation. If you are facing a serious spinal issue, especially one requiring urgent intervention, do NOT be fearful; Dr. Kabins just might change your life for the better! He gave me my mobility, my health, and my career back. I am forever grateful.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Mark Kabins for my back issues, and this was my second visit. He recommended physical therapy, and the place he suggested took excellent care of me—I just finished those sessions. I’m not fully recovered yet and still have quite a bit of pain along with limited mobility, but I’m starting to notice small improvements little by little. Dr. Kabins is very thorough, takes the time to listen to my concerns, and explains everything clearly without rushing. He’s focused on a thoughtful treatment plan to help me improve over time.
What really stands out is how fantastic the entire team is. The front desk staff are awesome—always friendly, welcoming, and super efficient whenever I call or come in. They make scheduling and handling paperwork feel effortless and go out of their way to help. The whole staff at Las Vegas Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation interacts with such warmth and professionalism that every visit feels supportive and stress-free. Dr. Kabins’ calm and caring bedside manner complements the team perfectly, making the whole experience much more manageable.
I’m hopeful that with continued care we’ll keep making progress toward better function and pain relief. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable back doctor or spine specialist in Las Vegas who truly cares about his patients’ long-term results, along with a team that makes you feel valued, I highly recommend Dr. Kabins and his staff. Recovery takes patience, but the care and interactions I’m receiving are excellent

I am a 69 year old retired Fire Captain. I was severely injured in a structure fire in 1999. Broken pelvis, femur, cervical and lumbar spine injuries. I had recurring pain from those injuries and so I was seeing Dr. Robert Bien for oxycodone which he prescribed gladly. One appointment I mentioned to Bien that Dr. Shaw a neurologist that Bien recommended thought my shoulder pain was coming from my C Spine. Bien immediately called Kabins to see me. Kabins scheduled me for a 4 level cervical fusion. At the time I was taking Oxy every day and still trusted surgeons. Stay away from this money grubbing duplicitous surgeon and his buddy Dr. Robert Bien.
Kabins did a two day anterior and posterior 4 level fusion on my C Spine. I've never been the same. My neck hurts constantly and I walk hunched over like an old man. Sucks.
Dr. Kabins ruined my life. Let me know if you want me to get in touch with you. Oh, another thing. Nevada has a ceiling of 350,000 dollars on medical damages so you can't even get an attorney to take the case. After expert witnesses and the like nothing is left for the attorneys. Damnit, my life sucks because of Kabins and Bien.

Dr. Kabins performed back surgery on me in April-2023. I have not had any issues since then. Yes my back is limited to certain things but that is to be expected. Dr. Kabins gave me my life back. I walk 10 miles daily pain free. I would recommend him to anyone having back, spine, or neck issues.

A Grateful Patient’s Experience with Dr. Kabins

First and foremost, I want to sincerely thank Dr. Kabins for achieving what I once believed was impossible. I’m no stranger to back surgeries—at this point, it feels like I’ve had nearly every type. While past procedures offered some relief, I was always left with persistent nerve pain in my leg that never went away.

Over time, I had come to accept that this pain would be a permanent part of my life. But when I met Dr. Kabins, everything changed. He took the time to understand my complex history and quickly created a focused plan to identify the exact cause of my ongoing pain. Before even considering surgery, he made sure we explored every less invasive treatment option available.

Once surgery became the right path, Dr. Kabins explained everything clearly and gave me complete confidence in the process. The outcome? When I woke up from surgery, although I was in typical post-op discomfort, the nerve pain that had haunted me for 14 years was completely gone. I couldn’t believe it.

I would absolutely recommend Dr. Kabins to anyone dealing with back pain—especially those who’ve had prior surgeries that didn’t deliver the results they hoped for. Every patient is different, and Dr. Kabins approaches each case with care, honesty, and a commitment to achieving the best possible outcome. If you feel hopeless or like nothing more can be done, let him take a look. He’ll give you a realistic assessment and walk you through your options without pressure.

I’m truly blessed to have found Dr. Kabins, and I’m incredibly grateful for the chance he’s given me to live without the constant pain I thought was permanent. My recovery has gone smoothly, and his staff has been nothing short of outstanding. They’ve done everything possible to support me through this journey.

If you’re hesitant or nervous, I wholeheartedly recommend placing your trust in Dr. Kabins. You won’t regret it.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Life-Changing Care from Dr. Mark Kabins

If you’re scared of surgery, I completely understand—I was too. The idea of spine or neuro surgery can be overwhelming. But after living in pain and fear for far too long, I finally met Dr. Mark Kabins, and everything changed.

From the very first appointment, Dr. Kabins was calm, compassionate, and incredibly thorough. He took the time to explain what was happening in my body, what my options were, and why surgery might be the best path forward. He never rushed me or pressured me—just gave me the facts and treated me like a partner in my own care.

The surgery itself was a turning point. What I feared would be the most frightening experience turned out to be the beginning of getting my life back free of pain. Dr. Kabins and his team made me feel safe, informed, and supported every step of the way.

If you’re scared, that’s okay. But please know that staying in pain doesn't have to be your only option. Dr. Kabins is a gifted surgeon and a truly kind human being. I only wish I had found him sooner.

This wasn’t just a procedure—it was a gift of mobility, relief, and hope. I highly recommend Dr. Kabins to anyone looking for expert care with a human touch.

If you need back surgery, Dr. Kabins is the surgeon to see. He fixed my back after others refused to try or had made it worse than it was to begin with. I've had a lot of surgery: both hips, both knees, and one shoulder replaced to mention some, but I had always heard " never let anyone operate on your spine." It either wouldn't work or it would be worse. I had sciatica due to spinal stenosis from hip to heel. There were times I could not walk or sleep. I also developed foot drop and peripheral neuropathy. I was desperate but scared, still thinking spinal syrgery would be a mistake. I went to a neurosurgeon who told me a laminectomy was the was to go. That 95% of neurosurgeons would agree and that he would not consider fusion. He ended up performing 2 laminectomies, both of which failed. I was no better, but thankfully no worse. This only made me more certain that I should never let anyone else operate on my back. He told me he could do no more for me and sent me to a pain doctor. I went to the pain specialist he recommended. Thank goodness I did. Instead of starting me on pain therapy, he sent me to Dr.
Kabins. I was still thinking I'd be offered more useless surgery, but my pain was so great and relentless, I could not imagine living the rest of my life like that. Dr. Kabins gave my life back to me. He performed a fusion of my L4,5 and all my pain is gone! Dr. Kabins is a brilliant surgeon.
He really knows what he's doing. He listens, gives you plenty of time to talk and will answer all questions. He's straightforward and honest. If he can't do it he'll say so. He's also a compassionate person, and sets you at ease. His demeanor helped me to decide to have him perform the fusion. All my pain disappeared and has not returned. I would (and have) recommend Dr. Kabins and his outstanding staff to anyone with spine injuries. He's a wonderful doctor.

I’m not here to convince you why you should or should not get surgery but I am here to tell you my experience with Dr. Kabins. I’ll never forget the first time I met him. My mother was in town visiting me for Thanksgiving so I brought her along with me. I was out of my mind in pain, hopped up on drugs and crying with him; no pleading with him to help me make the pain go away. I had already tried every other therapy you can think of: cortisone injections, physical therapy, chiropractor, dry needling, facet blocks, nerve ablations, you name it I’ve tried it. I even went so far as to get immunotherapy to control the inflammation which only resulted in a secondary condition while my immune system was compromised. Unfortunately, I had other doctors and physicians telling me that I was not a good candidate for surgery and that they would not operate on me given my clinical imaging. I was not your typical black-and-white case where one day I was fine and a traumatic injury happened and came out with a herniated or slipped disc. I was that gray area so to speak. An elite athlete, a gymnast and diver for almost 2 decades and the hyper-flexibility and wear and tear on my body for 30 years resulted in the pain I had endured for well over 15 years with an injury in 2024 that was the straw that broke the camels back. I don’t remember much from that year as I took some hard drugs to subdue the pain but what I do remember was constant pain, to the point that when I got out of bed, I couldn’t figure out how to get back in. I couldn’t lift my leg, I was experiencing atrophy and nerve pain radiating down the right side of my body, and sometimes the slightest movement would send me into a fit of painful emotions that I wouldn’t wish on even my worst enemy. It brought me to a very dark place mentally, willing to do anything to make the pain go away. Dr. Kabins was very matter of fact, he looked at my imaging, gave it to me straight and said while it wasn’t a guarantee (50/50 were his words) if I was in this much pain, I should consider taking the risk of doing surgery and that he would be more than happy to be the doctor to perform it for me. My family and friends and anyone that would listen to my story were very hesitant and told me to avoid surgery at all cost. It absolutely gave me pause but I also had a second opinion from another doctor that came highly recommended from Dr. Kabins and he reiterated the same sentiments. I figured at this point, my quality of life is at stake here and I’ve got nothing to lose. I took a chance I had the surgery and the next day Dr. Kabins came in and he said it was a good thing we did the surgery. Unlike what imaging can see, once he opened me up he was able to see all the real damage that it couldn’t. My body had endured decades of scar tissue buildup and that collective was putting pressure on and impinging a nerve causing all the pain I was experiencing. He removed what he could and unimpinged the nerve. I sit here today 8 months postop and could not be happier with the decision I made. Not only has the nerve pain almost completely resolved (he said it takes two years for the nerve to fully recover, and I have very far and few between scenarios where it gets a little inflamed, but nothing that a little Tylenol can’t fix) but I am able to get back to daily living and the things I used to love. I can go to the gym again, hike again, ski again all thanks to Dr. Kabins. I turn 35 in one week and he’s given me the best present I could ever ask for, my health and my life back. Thank you Dr. Kabins.

I highly recommend Dr. Kabins for any spine surgery you may require. Dr. Kabins is an amazing and brilliant surgeon. He is also a kind and caring man with great bedside manner. Spine surgeries are frightening and he takes his time to explain the surgery and answer all your questions.

I was using a walker and crying with pain prior to surgery. Now the walker is in the garage and I walk easily. The tears have dried up and I am loving life again.

Dr Kabins was recommended by my family physician. I had L4-L5 slipping out of place due to a prior laminectomy surgery in 2016 by another Dr in Oregon. In 2018 Dr Kabins suggested having a L4-L5 fusion. After several weeks of wrapping my head around it I decided to go through with the surgery. We decided to perform an Anterior Posterior fusion with a cage. Dr Kabins did a remarkable job. Several years later I had a couple of Vertebrae in my neck give out. Dr Kabins fused C3-C4 and C5-C6. Another remarkable job. A month ago Dr Kabins performed a Decompression on L5 S1 Bilateral. Another remarkable job. All I can say is the man is a godsend. He has changed my life several times over. I would recommend him highly to anyone needing spinal surgery. Thank You to Megan, Mira, Maria and a special thanks to Diane.

I was in a car crash January of 2023 and spent 8 months in severe pain and unable to walk unassisted due to a spinal injury. Everyone warned me not to get spinal surgery, many said it never turns out well. Luckily, they were wrong. 6 months after my surgery with Dr. Kabins and I've gotten my life back. My pain isn't completely gone (a 2 or 3 most days compared to 7 or 8 prior to surgery) but Dr. Kabins made sure I knew that going in. Dr. Kabins also genuinely cares about his patients and is incredibly kind, in addition to his skill in surgery. I cannot recommend him highly enough and I'm incredibly grateful for the surgery he performed every single day.

Tomorrow will be 1 year since Dr Mark Kabins did my surgery. This was my 9th back surgery and there were doctors that didn’t want to even try it. He was amazing! had a complication during the surgery and awoke in the ICU to find out that they were only able to perform half of my surgery. 5 days later they completed it, (on a weekend no less!) I was seen every day by either him or Megan PA, who is amazing as well. I was convinced that I was going to be in pain for the rest of my life and today I am pain free!!! Dr Kabins gave me my life back. I am off disability and back to work. I can’t say enough about him and his staff including Megan, Diane and Irving. Even the scheduler that (unfortunately I can’t remember her name)was great, being able to move my surgery up 2 months!!

I recently herniated a disc so badly that I had radiating pain all the way down my right leg to the foot. I was in constant pain that would become excruciating when I was in any position other than prone. I was unable to function and conservative methods of physical therapy and pain management were not working. Dr. Mark Kabins and his staff are my heroes! I truly can't express enough gratitude for how he has given me my life back. Back surgery is scary, Dr. Mark Kabins is the most gifted surgeon and the one you want operating on you. From the moment I met him, I knew I was in good hands. He was very kind, compassionate, explained the surgery well, and had such a calming confidence to him. I could tell he was confident in his ability to help me and seeing that in him was so comforting. He performed a microdiscectomy, and I woke up pain free. Recovery has gone better than I could have hoped. Though it has been slow and steady, I am able to function without pain! I have great hope I will be able to live a full, pain free life, and I will never forget this gift Dr Kabins has given me!

Dr Kabins was a miracle worker for me. I had a Spinal Fusion last year March 3 and March 10 2021 by another Neuro Surgeon with nothing but issues and a doctor that couldn't take 5 minutes to listen to my complaints. I was referred to Dr Kabins when I found out my equipment from the first two surgery's had came loose and part of it was broken. Yes there was a long wait to get in but it was well worth it!! At check in I was told he was running behind and I could go grab lunch if I wanted and they would call me when it was almost my turn so I didn't have to just sit there. I wish other doctors did this. I knew from my first meeting with him I was in good hands. He took the time to sit with me and go over everything. How he would remove the broken items and not only would he replace them on the left side but he would be adding to my right side like the first Surgeon should have due to my height, weight and it being the lower back. He let me know my surgery would be 6 to 8 hours long and it was almost 7. He watched for CSF Leaks which I had the first time. Kept me in the hospital 10 days but between him and Megan I seen one of them everyday I was there. They sat and talked with me about everything they did and how my recovery was going and would go over the next several months. I would do 10 Stars if it was possible. If you want a doctor that cares and will help you every step of the way Dr Kabins is who you want in your corner. All the pain and discomfort I suffered from the first two times is gone. I do still have a few things going on but its from the permeant nerve damage from the first doctor doing a SH*T JOB!! I wish I would of found DR Kabins the first time.

***TRUTH*** Now that I’ve gotten your attention let me share my story.

1st and foremost we need to dispel of that brother, sister, mother in law, friend, family member or person telling you never to have back surgery. “That you will be worse off than you are now”. Nothing could be further from the truth.

YES.the right surgeon matters and Dr. Mark Kabins at Las Vegas Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation has the education, skill, experience and attitude to assess your case and change your life for the better.

In my case, he gave me my life back. He immediately understood the critical nature of my lower back situation whereas my original surgeon did not. He expedited my case and we were in surgery as soon as humanly possible. His skilled staff handled all of the insurance, hospital, and other tedious stuff that no patient in my pain can deal with.

1). My lower back issue.

Dr. Kabins surgically fused my L4, L5 and S1 vertebrae April 9, 2022. Prior to surgery I could barely stand and was unable to walk due to the stenosis and disc damage affecting nerves in my back. That was Saturday. Monday, 2 days later, they told me to stand and walk with some help of course. I was more than skeptical to say the least given those stories I had heard of being worse off.

Well. I’m telling you forget that and trust me here!! You can have your life back.

2). My Neck issue.

Yes believe it or not almost immediately following my lower back surgery, I developed a serious disc issue in my neck. Luckily, I knew exactly what to do and who to trust with this issue. Dr. Kabins performed vertebral fusions between C3-C4 and fusion between C5 -C6. Surgery was performed on August 2nd, 2022 and I posted this review in his office today August 5th after driving here on my own.

I am so thankful for Dr. Kabins and his staff members Megan, Mayra, Erika, Irving, Diane and others.

I followed the Medicare protocol…chiropractor, PT and pain management. None provided pain relief. I also addressed my issues with other doctors. “I was to old to have back surgery” My husband had seen Dr Kabins for his issues with good results. So, I contacted his office making an appointment. Yes, there was a long wait but to me it was worth it. When he looked at my files, he said “ I can help you”. Wow! In April 2021, this man performed a life changing surgery. Incisions we’re both interior and posterior. Following instructions, I wore a back brace and used the bone stimulator and walked as much as possible ( no golf for 9 months😢). Today, 16 months later, I am pain free and able to do the activities I want. I highly recommend a visit with Dr Kabins. If he says he can help go for it! Don’t let friends or family discourage you. Thank you Dr Mark Kabins.

I was rear-ended in 2018 by a semi-truck only to be rear-ended again through workers comp. After several doctor's failed to deal with WC I was just forced to "live with it." I was referred to Dr Kabins and was awaiting our phone conversation. That afternoon I couldn't walk, stand, so I went to the ER in 10 out of 10 pain. Only a morphine IV was able to stabilize me while I was admitted to the hospital.
I finally had my phone conversation with Dr Kabins on a Sunday following my discharge from the hospital with several scripts for pain. Dr Kabins was blunt, professional and to the point about my health and wellness, getting me fixed fast. Our conversation lasted 20+ minutes and I hung up feeling secure, excited hat I finally found the right surgeon and had his cell number to call or text with anything I needed. Yes I used it and yes he answered.
On my journey to surgery we met a few times, going over x-rays, healing, therapy, pain management, diet, family, and recovery questions. Always answered and always taken care of by Dr Kabins and his awesome staff.
Checking into the hospital the day of my surgery he was there to meet me. Knowing nothing is routine his bedside manner was always reassuring. I was given an IV with meds to relax me, introduced by Dr Kabins to his assistant, anesthesiologist and others with him. Into surgery I went, scared, nervous, looking around and again there was Dr Kabins standing by my side as I drifted off to sleep.
I woke up, lights in my face, voices of people barking commands but not in a panic, pain, confusion, and Dr Kabins a foot from my face waking me up. He informed me that he had to stop my surgery, he didn't finish, "are you hearing me?" "Can you move your arms?" "What day is it?" I found out Dr Kabins stopped the surgery immediately when his team had no return from my monitors on my spinal cord and heart. He said "for your safety we had to stop and wake you up." I hated the fact it wasn't completed but understood.
My 2nd surgery was scheduled three days later. I had to recover, get stronger, clean out the anesthesia and be hospitalized with my initial incision remained open and packed. Dr Kabins was in everyday and reassured me that my health was most important.
Sunday, 2nd surgery day, Dr Kabins was in my hospital room checking up on me, then meeting him downstairs in pre-op again. Same IV solution, same team in on Sunday to finish up my surgery, there was Dr Kabins adjusting the OR table sliding me over as I fell asleep. Waking up, bright lights, voices, pain, Dr Kabins holding his cell phone to my ear so my husband can hear me, talk to me not once did my family go without knowing my status by Dr Kabins personally.
I was in recovery, NO leg pain, no issues but yes the surgery area was painful. Anyone knowing disc herniation, collapsing know the intense pain running down there legs. Nothing but post surgery pain. I stood up for the time since the surgery Monday morning, looked at the door and yes Dr Kabins standing there watching.
Today, 7 weeks later I am still pain free, recovered nicely, and looking forward to a great future. I wrote a lot about my experience to highlight Dr Kabins dedication and compassion and his humanity with me. I am just an everyday guy and this experience was new to me but Dr Kabins never once talked down to me nor made me feel inferior, included me in everything every concern including the negative possibilities of surgery.
If you have a herniated disc, back pain, sciatic pain, don't hesitate to reach out to Dr Kabins and his team. Enjoy your life, your gifts, your kids and family again, get it fixed by a professional doctor, Dr Kabins.

Dr. Kabins and his team are exceptional. I have had chronic back pain for years and after consulting with Dr. Kabins, it was determined that surgery would more than likely relieve me of pain. There were no promises, but it was apparent that surgery (micro-decompression) would relieve much of the pain. Two weeks after surgery and the wound from surgery healed, I am back to light exercising for a few weeks and physical therapy, but the pain I felt previously is gone. My recommendation is that if you have back pain, consult with Dr. Kabins and review your situation with him. You will get honesty and truth based upon your physical situation. If surgery is recommended, I highly trust that Dr. Kabins and his team are the best in the business.

I had been rear ended about 2 years ago and was in intense pain every day. So many people warned me against surgery. I am now 8 weeks post disk replacement surgery. I have to say that having the surgery has been one of the best decisions I have made. I am now able to do many of the things that I did before the car accident that I couldn’t do after like pick up my son. Dr. Kabins knows his stuff and I would like to thank him and his team. I feel like I’m getting my life back now.

I recently had a complex back surgery with Dr. Kabins. I've seen a lot and I mean a lot of surgeons about my back after a serious vehicle accident and 2 prior back surgeries. Not only did Dr. Kabins seem very experienced but it was clear after my first consult he genuinely cares about his patients, he clearly cares about people. He's upfront, takes a lot of time with people and did an amazing job with me. Highly recommend this practice and Dr. Kabins.

This place is horrible!! They set me up with a 730am appointment. I showed up at 720am, They did not call me into the office for at least an hour. So that's about 830am at this point. I than proceed to ask them why its taking so long, also why are they asking me the same questions that I just filled out on the paper in the waiting room. I tell them I have another appointment at 930am and they have had me there for an hour already. They than go on to tell me that they don't know if I will be seen by the doctor by the time I have to be at my next appointment because he was not in the office yet and they didn't know when he would get there either. I didn't even see the doctor I just walked out at this point.. This is not a way to work. You should not schedule people and than tell them they just have to wait because the doctor is not there. Why schedule the appointment in the first place? I get that doctors are busy and you may have to wait at times, but not like this. Also why make us fill out paper work if you are going to ask me the same questions that are on the paper when you finally get me back in the office? its a complete waste of time!! I will never recommend this place.

I have had two surgeries with Dr Kabins. The first in my neck to remove bone Spurs and carpal tunnel in my right hand. And a year later to repair nerve damage in my lower back a L4 to sacral 1 spinal fusion. I was in incredible pain before both surgeries. This man fixed them both. My throat doesn’t even have a visible scar. He is an amazingly caring man who will treat you like you are the only one in the hospital. The staff takes him very serious! His office visits will be at least 1-2 hr wait but I believe he was worth It.

Second visit, the wait is forever..... there was one person ahead of me. I got here at 1043am, a little late my appointment was at 10:30am. I called in before I came. It’s now almost 1130am still waiting for doc to follow up. I get it u will always wait at doctors offices, but there has to be a better routine to see doctor between an hour. I’m using my lunch hour because this doctor is not here on Monday’s my day off..🙄the first time I came here I waited about 2 hours before I got back to work. I had back pain for 10 years and had been going to physical therapy and chiropractic care over the years without any change or positive result. The thought of back surgery always frightened me, but I finally made an appointment to see Dr Kabins after the pain became too much to handle and it started to affect my ability to walk. My first meeting with Dr Kabins went very well, he took a lot of time getting to know me and all of my issues and went over all of my options. I decided to go forward with surgery and I am now 3 months post op and absolutely pain free! I wish I had done this years ago! Dr Kabins is amazing, and took great care of me. I am so happy with my result. I can’t believe how much better I feel. Life is so much better!

The best surgeon in Las Vegas! Dr. Kabins is the most wonderful, caring, and meticulous doctor I have ever had the pleasure to deal with.

While surgery was a thought after I was rear-ended in early 2019, it became a necessity when I was rear-ended again later that year.

I am a local legal aid attorney who was simply terrified of having surgery. I sat in Dr. Kabins office crying, because after my C-section with my 2 year-old I was internally bleeding for two days and almost died. I was terrified of being operated on again. I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old and I could not imagine leaving them. Irrational fear? Maybe. But instead of dismissing me or making me feel bad, Dr. Kabins took the time to speak with me, get down to the bottom of why I was scared, and really help me see that, while all surgery comes with risks, the prognosis for my condition with the procedure he was proposing was good. I knew that my injuries would require surgery one day, even if today wasn't the day.

Dr. Kabins encouraged me to get second opinions, to make sure I was comfortable with what was going on. He let me dictate my treatment to the point where when I decided to have the surgery it was because the pain was so intense that I couldn't live with it.

Yes, there is a wait in his office, but once you meet him you will understand why. He will make sure you feel like you are the only patient in the world at the moment. His staff is a well oiled machine.

I have to say that my experience with Dr. Kabins made all of the difference in the world.

I'm sure hes a brilliant doctor and if I needed surgery I would probably continue going to him just based on these reviews. However, the two times I saw him, I waited 3+ hours just to be told I'm "a hot babe" for my age both times. If I wanted that kind of treatment I would've just gone to the bar. I wont continue to be his patient.

Great doctor. Front office staff is short and rude and plan on spending your whole day there. All 4 appointments I had I spent 4 hrs in the waiting room before even getting called in and dont ask why its taking to lond as the front staff just theatens to reschedule you if you dont like it. Pack a lunch and dont make other appointments for that day. If you have kids in school make arrangements for thier pick up before going in. Had a 9am appointment didnt get called back till 1pm and still didnt leave office untill 430pm. Office should just be a walk in facility. Dr. Kabins seems like a good person, and the other reviews suggest he's a solid doctor when he's able to figure out what's going on for you.

He was not able to help me, but he had the courage to admit he didn't know what to do. I respect that.

I went to him for a second opinion of an MRI I got, as well as help figuring out how to heal my pain & issues. Didn’t have any answers, doesn’t know why the headaches/brain fog/ vision issues persist. Suggested Pain Management, possible nerve testing and injections to test pain source(s).

It's frustrating when a doctor can't help you, but I at least appreciate that he admitted he didn't know. I also appreciate that he didn't try to tell me it was in my head.

Ever heard the saying He's to good to be true.. Well thats Dr.Kabins! I would like to write the step by step experience we've had with him, but I would need a few more pages. So I'll try my best to keep it short. My daughter was in a very bad auto accident 3 years ago and suffered very bad neck and back injuries. C1 all the way down to T2. She had surgery done the day of the accident but been in severe pain ever since.Doctors would just tell her that she should just be happy she's 1) Alive 2) Not paralyzed from neck down.So she should just find ways to manage the pain! We were referred to Dr.Kabins.. Oh!! did I mention were from Hawaii the Island of Oahu. We Called Dr.Kabins he requested a current MRI to be done and to send the Disk to him, 2 weeks later after receiving the disk he calls us and says your daughter needs surgery... So we flew to Las Vegas He is very thorough, Very Passionate not only with what he does but for his patients as well.He walked us step by step on what procedure he feels needed to be done even told us to get a second opinion and see if the other doctor saw the same thing and we did.. The other doctor agreed 100% with Dr.Kabins. Even then Dr. Kabins told my daughter "It's your choice at the end of the day to have this surgery... My daughter agreed to have the surgery done. She's doing great!!! Dr.Kabins gave my daughter her life back!! From seeing her everyday for 3 years in such severe pain.. To now seeing her smile and just being more involve and happy with life is all worth the traveling from Hawaii to Las Vegas To see Dr.Kabins ! He took care of her as if she was his own Daughter. So with that being said.. Much Love,Aloha and Blessings upon you Dr.Kabins your family and your staff!! Oh I forgot to mention his scheduling Nurse Anna she is awesome as well. She goes above and beyond..She is so consistent!! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!!

I have had 2 back fusions, last one in 2012 and have had excruciating pain for 6yrs, my pain management did a MRI and found a screw on my nerve and referred me to Dr Kabins, he went out of his way to get all my test CT scan, MRI, Nerve conductivity test and saw the screw, I opted for surgery to remove all hardware which isn't easy since I'm scared to death of surgery, when Dr Kabins got in my back there were 2 screws 3 1/4 inch long by 3/4 in round that had nerves wrapped around them, he removed them and decompressed my nerves, I have no lower back or leg pain so far. Thank you so much to Dr Fabito for referring me to Dr Kabins I am so happy with the outcome and would recommend Dr Kabins definitely, he has changed my life, he never pushed surgery and didn't guarantee it would solve my problem, I still have arachnoiditis which there is no cure for probably will have some pain but so far non.

Amazing doctor. Really cares about his patients. He won't stop till you are taken care of. He also stays late till every single patient is seen. In a town that's rare to find good doctors he is definitely someone great you can trust and rely on. He is a doctor you can trust if you need surgery. Staff is also amazing there very friendly. I was late to my appointment and called to see if I can still come or has to be another day their reply was "of course you can still come you are his patient" that right there shows they care about you and give you good care. Yes you might have to wait little long to see him but it is worth it. Staff comes out gives everyone free snacks for waiting, doctor apologizes for the wait, you really don't see this kind of care in this town. Yes you can go somewhere else for short wait time but you won't get the best care. Gotta realize something here if there is a lot of people waiting it shows how great of a doctor he is because for one he takes his time with each patient which we all know most doctors don't and two obviously if there is a lot of people waiting it means one thing he is amazing and people want to see him.

Dr Kabins didn't waste any time with me. He seen me, seen that I really needed relief and scheduled surgery two days later. I was in and out of the hospital in 24 hours. The best part about was that, while he gets down to business, he appears to really care. He listens and hears when we (the patients) are speaking. I don't have very good insurance but he made sure I could still get the right procedure in the shortest amount of time. The initial pain is now a thing of the past. Now I just have to heal from the surgery itself which is completely do-able. Double mircrdiscectomy between L3 and L4, and between L4 and L5. A man of great character. Thanks Doc!

Dr. Kabins, you performed two repair surgeries on my neck due to one failed surgery by a famous neurosurgeon! I am and have been so happy with you and your staff!

I do not know if you remember me, yet, sir, I want to tell you "THANKS SO VERY MUCH"!!! You've made my life so much better!!!!

I suffered 20 years of major pain, debilitating tension and migraine headaches, pain shooting down my arm.

I had surgery in 2003 by another neurosurgeon in Henderson. Within less than a year after surgery, I was still in major pain and called a "baby" by the other surgeon and then I was referred to you.

You looked at the X-rays I had brought with me. You pointed out the problem, which you saw, immediately! You were able to understood me and you showed me empathy also! What a welcome relief!! THANK YOU AGAIN!! I left your office and I bawled all the way home, because I finally felt like I had been heard!!!!

I knew, right then and there, that I was willing to trust you with my life! I am so glad I trusted you!! 2 neck surgeries within 2 days of each other! Thank you so much for the life you gave me back! 20 years of doctors, neurologists, etc telling me it was "all in your head" and one even telling me "the problem is your soul!" These appointments were so demeaning to me. You never once showed me that you thought I was making this pain up! Thank you for the dignity, compassion, and empathy you showed. I am so very grateful, Dr. Kabins!!
So, I showed my thanks when, in 2009, my husband, an ironworker, had major back problems. He had another neurosurgeon perform his back surgery. It failed! (I had pleaded with him to please see you!) I believe it is rare indeed, for a husband to listen to his wife, darn it. He didn't and he was sorry!

In 2011, you performed 2 surgeries within 2 days to repair his first failed back surgery! Thank you for giving him back a life. Though he is disabled, I feel confident, that without your help, he would be confined to a wheelchair. AND, in addition, our insurance company said the repair surgery was unnecessary!! Oh my goodness, my husband could not walk!! You showed me how to stand up to the advisory board and get heard!!! They approved the surgeries and we went to the hospital within minutes of insurance approval. Thank you. Thank you, Thank you!!

I cannot thank you enough!!! We Love You!! And we hope you are doing very well!! God has blessed you immensely!

First, my spell check tries to change the spelling of Dr.'s name -- just a heads up. I saw Dr. Kabins yesterday. And, yes, I was not seen at the appointment time, but after meeting Dr. KABINS For the first time, I figured out WHY he was late, and it is because he was taking the same care, and answering ALL of the questions of someone just like me, who has terrible pain, and is scared. Before I saw Dr. Kabins, I was considering taking the train (I don't fly) back to Virginia, to have surgery done by my Neurosurgeon back there -2400 miles, because I wasn't sure I could trust anyone here with my back. I TRUST DR. KABINS !!! He WILL be doing my surgery. He is compassionate. He is meticulous. He answered ALL of my questions. He has been doing this kind of surgery for 25 years. He did NOT make me feel like he had to hurry me through to get to his next patient, because his staff overbooked, to see too many people, in too short of a time. He was late, BECAUSE HE WAS TAKING THE SAME CARE OF THAT PATIENT AHEAD OF ME, THAT HE TOOK OF >>> ME <<<. That's what I want in a doctor. AND his office staff was obviously picked to work for him, because of the way she treated me. Kind, explained everything, answered questions, got me a chair while I was checking out. I cannot say enough good things about this practice. Expect to give another good report after surgery, and by the way, scheduled in only one month, partly that long because of the tests he wants before the procedure.

I would and have traveled across the country to be able to have him as my doctor. I AM pain free for the first time in a long while. His staff went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed to move forward. They are always pleasant and smiling. Ready to put a smile on your face. Even on the days you don't feel like smiling. I AM forever grateful to Dr. Kabins and all the ladies in the office. Thanks for giving me my life back!

Doctor Kabins is very complete and thorough exam. He covers all bases and made sure that I understood what was going on. Doctor Kabins is also compassionate with his patients. He gave me his cell phone number incase I had any questions or concerns. When I needed I had texted him and he responded right away. I will highly recommend him!

I would highly recommend Dr. Kabin to anyone. It took me months to find out what was wrong with me, I had shoulder pain, shooting pain down my arms and my fingers were numb. After a MRI the Dr that I was seeing referred me to another doctor and I could not get an appointment for 3 months. I decided to get a second opinion. When I found Dr. Kabin it took less than a week to get an appointment. At my appointment
Dr. Kabin was able to explain what my issues were, and explain the options that I had. He took the time I needed to feel comfortable and new that I had found the doctor. I needed to have surgery. I had 3 vertibrae in my neck fusions and bone removed to release the preasure on my nerves. It is very scary to have your neck operated on. The doctor also gave me his home phone if I had a any question. WOW what doctor cares enough to do that these day! After my surgery I woke up feeling like my old self, no pain. I would tell you if you have a spine surgery he is the DOCTOR YOU WANT.

I had front and back neck surgery two weeks ago, I'm still in the healing stages. Dr Kabins and his team are top notch in my book. They are caring and have so compassionate for what your going through, you can tell they love what they do. Lots of love to all of them, I've already passed Dr Kabins name to two other that have neck and spine issues. Thank you so much for your care. Tanya

Dr Kabins was about to operate on me when he was suddenly called away for an emergency for another patient ,he was on call ,with severe spinal damage due to a MVA.We rescheduled for the following day ,evening ,and proceeded with my C6-7 fusion .Prior to surgery ,I had lost feeling in my hands, color change in my arm and weakness.Since the procedure ,I am lifting, using my arm ,and have no "tingling"annoying pain in my arm .I have rotation (range of motion) whereas I had lost that simple motion .This has been over 12 years and no complications.I am glad that Adam Ganz of Ganz and Hauf had another client in his office that I spoke to and made my appointment with Dr Kabins .Best phone call I made for myself in a long time.On another note,I had a friend whose father was in so much pain he could not stand .I called the office on their behalf and Dr Kabins recommended that they meet him in the ER .After scanning my friends fathers back the decision was made to operate immediately .The results were amazing.I had known her father for several years and watched him cry in pain but refused to have anything done .I have heard horror stories regarding fusion but if I needed to make a decision for my back ,Dr Kabins would be the choice ,No doubt.

Dr Kabins saved my life by operating on my spine.
I had pain up and down my legs, numbness in my toes, calves and sometimes thighs. A good nights sleep, never. I couldn't do any physical activities without painful consequences. Work became difficult.
Diagnosis? Severely herniated disk, it was almost gone to the point of rubbing bone against bone.
His recommendation? Spinal fusion L4-L5.
The outcome: Dr. Mark Kabins gave me my life back.
I now have full rotation, bending, lifting, playtime with the kids, tennis, golf, hiking and fishing are painless, and my wife couldn't be happier. I feel like I am 25 again. NO lies, and acting it.
In all honesty, I was living the life of a broken man, hurt and deteriorating.
Dr Kabins truly repaired me and gave me my highly energetic life back with surprisingly little to no pain, ever.
Thank you Dr. Kabins... Paul Epstein
