I went to LensCrafters looking to purchase a specific pair of glasses, but unfortunately they didn’t have the style I was looking for. What really concerned me, however, was something I noticed when I approached the counter.

There was a picture of me displayed on an iPad. I did not give permission for my picture to be taken or used, and I was never informed that I was being photographed.

I’m very uncomfortable with my image being captured and displayed without my knowledge or consent. I believe customers should be made aware if their photos are being taken or used for any purpose.

I hope management takes this concern seriously and can explain why my picture was on the iPad and how it was obtained.

It was my first time in lenscrafters and it would be my last time also. Rude people, I would suggest to stay away to the lenscrafters inside the Galleria mall. I had issue with my new frames yes they let me exchanged it but it was the frames from the display at first they told me they’re going to give me a new ones that those frames are just display.

Guess what is the exactly frames was on the display shelves. I know it, its because those frames handles are loose and has a bit damaged on the right side handle when checking on them. When picked them up I told the lady if she can tighten the right side she said it’s tight enough already and its not wiggling so it’s normal….Hahaha normal they are not even. RUDE.

They don’t really care about their customers.

Buyer beware when purchasing meta AI glasses from LensCrafters!!!

I am beyond frustrated and completely at my wits end right now. I purchased a pair of Oakley Meta glasses in February 2026 and they already stopped responding
due to a manufacturer defect. I purchased a product protection plan through LensCrafters and was led to believe that it covered everything, including any electronic failure, at the time of purchase. When I called into the Galleria Mall location where I purchased these to report the issue, I was told that I'd be required to pay a $125 co pay, unless I could get a formal Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) or Warranty Replacement Approval Email from meta AI corporate.

I have reached out to Oakley Meta and their manufacturer several times and it is proving more difficult than affirmentionally suggested and I'm almost willing to pay the $125
Copy for the $600 pair of glasses I was made to believe would be covered if anything went wrong with them.

Since this is a total hardware failure (the glasses are completely dead and unresponsive) and falls strictly under the 1-year manufacturer warranty, I am legally and contractually entitled to a 100% free replacement or repair without paying LensCrafters a single cent.

I understand that $125 doesn't seem like a lot of money but it is the principle of the matter and LensCrafters Galleria Mall location being completely unwilling to assist me in any way other than suggesting that I get proof of what is obviously under warranty or pay an unreasonable amount of money.

I am beyond frustrated by this entire process and will be escalating this matter with my attorney and the LensCrafters corporate office unless I am contacted with a resolution by the retail store manager where I purchased these from! If I had known that it would be this difficult to replace my glasses, after a manufacturer defect that is no fault of my own, I would have saved my money and gone elsewhere!

UPDATE!!! The manager of the store called me and made things right once I was finally able to get a letter from Oakley, I was given a brand new pair from LensCrafters.

Thank you to the manager of the store for seeing my review and reaching out to me with some options to make this right. Changing my review to 5 stars because of her steadfast resolution to my problem and the amount of care she took in doing so!

About a year ago I had a warranty issue with my Meta glasses. I came to this lens crafters and they didn’t have another 50in pair of Meta Glasses to switch out so I could swap out my frames. They took my info down and said they would call when the glasses were back in stock. I received a $300 warranty replacement letter that was good for up to a year. I waited a few weeks and ended up purchasing another pair from someone else since I needed my glasses and I never received that follow-up call.. I came back to Lens Crafters about 9 months later and they were able to honor my warranty letter and replace my Meta glasses and lenses. However, they had to take back my lenses from the glasses that I had to replace because they couldn’t replace them from before. So now I have a working pair of Meta glasses that are useless because they took the lenses and my new pair that are very nice. I asked Wendy, the manager if there was some way I could keep the original lenses since it’s there fault that I had to spend the extra $300 to replace them from before and the lenses were basically going to be disposed away. Unfortunately she wasn’t able to find a solution. The store was nice, clean, and helpful but I am leaving a 3 star review instead of a Stellar 5 star review because going through their warranty process cost me an extra $300. I explained to the manager before leaving this that I would give an honest review. I read reviews about Meta’s warranty issues online and I wanted to give an honest account.

Honestly this place has THE WORST and THE RUDEST customer service reps! I call and got a very rude female when I’m asking about my glasses being ready she rudely asks if I got a text I said no I advised that it has been 11 business days she puts me on hold then asks for my last name puts me on hold asks me for my first name then gets back on saying my glasses have been ready since 6/16 I asked why I didn’t get a text and asked her to confirm my # they had the incorrect phone number. I stopped in to see if they could repair an old pair of sunglasses that was missing a screw. Sophie took them back to the lab and 10 minutes later reemerged with my repaired glasses - fixed at no charge.

I brought a pair of broken glasses into LensCrafters 1617. I was met by Wendy Ycaza, manager. As they were not repairable, she sought to get a replacement frame from Ray Ban. I was going on a business trip and needed my glasses for my work. She worked hard to get them before I left but that was not possible. Then a replacement was found but not immediately available so again she went to work finding a solution. She called and told me that she located a suitable frame and could install my lenses and ship them to me.
They arrived on the day that I needed them and they fit perfectly and the existing lenses work well with the frames.
Today I went to thank Wendy in person for her good work. As a businessman I recognize the value of an excellent customer service person. Wendy is one of the best I’ve met in a long time. I am a customer of yours for many decades and always recommend people who need glasses to your store!

Service is above and beyond at LensCrafters. The staff makes you feel like a valued customer and is very helpful in navigating insurance benefits AND helping to select glasses. I was disappointed when the optometry group went over to Pearl Vision. Since my records were transferred I went to Pearl Vision but it took nearly two hours to complete the exam and when it came time to select glasses they tried to give me a new patient discount if I ordered glasses that day only without even checking my insurance (which was a substantially better benefit). I came back to Pearl Vision a few days later to look at glasses and the support provided was to just walk with me holding a tray for any glasses that I may be interested in so they could look up pricing. After that lackluster Pearl Vision experience I went across the street to LensCrafters where I received top notch support in selecting glasses. As a bonus the technician was aware of a coupon so she told me about it which brought my cost down even more. I highly recommend LensCrafters for glasses!

From the time we walked in, Maja greeting us with a warm welcome. She allowed us to browse without pressure and was knowledgeable about the products that would best suit our needs. I stopped in with a pair of sunglasses that came apart and needed an unusual sized screw. Even though I didn’t purchase these glasses at LensCrafters (I purchased their glasses there in the past), Erin agreed to see if she had one and she did and was able to repair them for me! Poor quality. I re-used my frame and only had the lens replaced. The lens was placed into the frames unevenly. I went back and showed them. They told me that was normal. The lady behind the counter was extremely rude. She kept snatching my glasses from me claiming to clean them and she kept putting even more smudges on them. Nancy to cut the lens was nice but she told me that my lens were even when clearly they were not even. I this obviously effected my vision. I went to the Lenscrafters on Eastern and they told me that my lens were in fact not sitting in the frames correctly. Guess what...they fixed it!! I would advise you to stay away from the Lenscrafters in the Galleria mall. They don't care about they quality of their work. This review is not about the Dr.'s office. Only Lenscrafters.

Had my glasses fixed today by Sophie!
One of the bolts holding up the lenses broke off and she installed a new bolt, as well as tightening the other. Also said it was free of charge. She was quick and to the point, she was kind too!
