This review is long overdue. I’ve lived in Vegas for years and it’s been really hard finding truly helpful services for children.
My husband and I brought our daughter to My Left Foot Children’s Therapy and she was assigned to Sherry, a physical therapist. It took weeks, maybe months, to finally get in with her because staff said she was one of their best.
At first, I appreciated that Sherry gave us exercises to do at home. I had even tried looking up PT exercises on YouTube before going to a therapist. But over time, I saw Sherry getting visibly frustrated with my child because she didn’t want to be touched. My daughter is understandably wary of strangers.
Sherry kept insisting we get an X-ray because she thought my child was “too flexible.” As a parent, I didn’t see anything wrong, but she repeatedly pushed it. In front of my husband she said, “You don’t want anyone saying Mom isn’t doing what she’s supposed to be doing,” and added that if she were a mom, she would take her child, and that I might regret it if something was wrong and it was too late.
I felt pressured and guilty, so we got the X-ray. Everything came back completely fine.
Another time, my daughter was crying and I was holding her, telling her, “It’s okay, don’t cry.” Sherry looked at me and said, “I wouldn’t use that word.” When I asked what word, she couldn’t even say—just that I shouldn’t say it, even though I was simply consoling my child.
The final straw was our last session. I always stay in the room because I don’t trust anyone alone with my child, degree or not. Sherry sat against the back wall, looked at me, and asked if I thought my daughter should continue coming. She said she wasn’t saying she didn’t want to work with my daughter, but questioned whether we should keep bringing her.
I said yes in the moment, but when I told my husband what she said, he was furious and told me to pull our daughter out. I did—and it was the best decision we made.
What I learned there, I can apply at home myself. Honestly, it feels better than subjecting my child to a place where I did not feel she was cared for. Too many therapists seem more focused on money than truly helping.
Parents, you can learn to do a lot of this at home. You don’t need a degree to follow basic exercises and be truly present for your child. Instead of scrolling on your phone or going out all the time, invest that time in helping your child yourself.
One thing this place really lacks is opportunities for kids to have playtime with other children and build social skills. Every child is kept in an isolated room with a therapist, which prevents them from interacting with other kids. I don’t think it should be that way.
Just my input. Thank you very much.

Terrible service. They don't return calls and tell you, "Maybe the person in charge of the insurance process will come tomorrow." 🤔 They should be like the kind and responsible therapists. Those therapists actually practice their profession. Take your work seriously; there are special needs children waiting for your therapies. Touch your heart. 💙

We come to the central clinic for occupational therapy and are very happy with the therapy our son receives. He enjoys it and it is working. We are very happy and have referred other families to My Left Foot Children's Therapy because we know the therapy is already helping our son so much.

God awful. Child shows no progress whatsoever. Very inflexible scheduling, very unforgiving of life issues that come up. Yet, they will gleefully expect you to abide by their own last minute schedule changes, and will penalize you if you don't follow through. Worst place yet, do not waste your time here.

02.20.2024--Be careful with this new management, they will deceive you and threaten you as well. Therapist are dropping like flies since new management took place in December of 2023. We have been going to this place for 7 years and this new management has been the worst. I feel so bad for the children and the therapist.
11.05.3023: Management needs to recruit speech therapist that actually want to show up for their patients and have them succeed in their goals.
*Update* Communication with scheduling is very poor and I really hope the management get this handled.
The management here use to be really good. I have been coming here for 4 1/2 years with my two boys. The scheduling team gets new people ever week. They mess up on scheduling and take your reserves away with out even telling you, then it takes FOREVER to get another reserve. I have been waiting over a month for a manager to call me and I have filled out the concerns and compliance. I am so sad and sick how the management don't care about the children but hey it's Nevada what else do you expect. I also get the state is completely short staffed because of Governor has decided to up the unemployment payment to $533 a week so people would rather sit on their butt then work. But this doesn't mean my child needs to be ignored. Get it together management seriously. The therapist are GREAT but the management is what needs to be worked on.

I recently had a terrible experience with My Left Foot Physical Therapy that I feel compelled to share. Unfortunately, we suddenly lost a close family member and to add to the stress, my child (the patient) contracted a virus, which resulted in a hospital stay. In the midst of this chaos, I completely forgot to cancel my appointment to add to the situation. When I received a call from My Left Foot informing me that I had missed my appointment, I explained the situation. Instead of receiving understanding, I was met with dismissive and rude responses from the staff. Later, I received another call that felt more like a reprimand than a genuine attempt to understand the situation. I was informed that I was being placed on "floating appointments" (essentially probation) and that if I missed another appointment, I would have to seek services elsewhere. Given the challenges I was facing, this felt incredibly insensitive and unprofessional. Unfazed by their antics, I immediately decided to happily withdraw from their services entirely, without a second thought . I cannot recommend My Left Foot Physical Therapy, as their lack of compassion during a very difficult time has left a lasting negative impression. It's essential for healthcare providers to show understanding and support, especially due to such catastrophic life event , and unfortunately, My Left Foot fell short of that expectation. I will gladly “seek services elsewhere” .

Great therapy staff and environment. Just be aware if you have a good attendance or in general maybe you here and there once a while you're late or have to miss due to sickness or family emergency. If your kid gets sick randomly and you didn't get enough time and chance to call ahead of time and making sure your child is taken care of. Of course alot of things are going through parents mind at the moment. But they will drop all your appointments unless your child went to the ER. They allow sick children to go. And us mom know if our children are sick they just want to lay down in bed and stay cuddled. And most likely they will kick me out for this comment because on their little sign it says if you comment anything negative they will remove you. But I honestly don't care. LFT is not the only therapy in the world. I'm not gonna feel bad or beg like oh I need you. I know the problem with my kids are and I have solutions. So that's their policy. If your child is sick very sick and doesn't have a fever and so happens it happens when you have to go to therapy that morning evening or night, you will be dropped. They sugar coat it saying but you're able to get spots again if available. well I call it as it is you're out and now your permanent spots are someone else in those 60 days. But it's okay I got enough information I need so I can help my children. I thank the therapist for their help and time and dedication.

All the therapist have been wonderful with my son and the front office staff is kind also. My issue is with the cancellation policy. My son has therapy 3 times a week. We have good attendance but there was one week my son had doctors appt. Because he had a rash on his face-not a sick visit. And then. About two weeks after I was sick and had to leave work therefore I cannot take him to therapy as I am the only one that can lift him in and out of the car etc. I got a call reminding me that basically that my son missed more days his permanent spot on that day would be in jeopardy of being cancelled. 2 visits and that was the call I got. We go 3 times a week. I will add before and after those two missed visits the facility cancelled on us about 4 times. Probably because people are human and get sick and have to call off work. But for children and single moms it’s a problem missing two days. Also I agree someone posted below the bathrooms do not cater to children with special needs which is sad because this is a children’s therapy center.

If you're building a facility for special needs kids, it would make sense to include amenities for those who can't use the toilet and need changing. That way, I won't have to change my son on a dirty floor.

They NEVER answer the calls or return voicemails, I’ve been trying to schedule my son’s appointment for 2 months. I sent them back the intake forms with our information on it and still nothing. If your pediatrician refers you here I would straight off the bat ask for a referral to somewhere else, this place is so unprofessional. I’d understand if it took a few days but after months of trying to schedule and leaving MULTIPLE voicemails and not hearing back at all is just ridiculous and rude. This place is supposed to be helpful.

The staff and therapists are great. It’s the company that is complete garbage.
**edit we have been attending therapy with this company for almost 9 years. With reliable attendance AND continued care and therapies at home both family and nursing staff** we did as we were asked at ALL times. They (management only. Bless the public facing staff they really are trying)still treat people like fodder.
Every year theres a change in attendance, paperwork needed and any number of small changes because the policy continues to be trash. They take patients in then just jerk people around like toys then try to cite policy. Read it carefully as the upper management doesn’t know what they are doing. I feel for those poor public facing employees as they get hit with the fallout. Unfair and should be against the law to do the things the business side does. There is no ‘permanent’ spot. You just get a schedule until management changes policy just to remove existing clients to appeal to new. Sorry but older kids still need therapy. Fire upper management or get them to use their brains because if this is the best they got… the public and the patients deserve bare minimum at least.

I know I was going to be late for my sons Max appointment as there was an accident on 95 and I called scheduling department to make them aware of it. The lady on the phone was very professional and polite, assured us that we will still be seen when we get to the Jones location. As I walked in and asked the staff if they received the call they did reply yes with that rude smirk on their faces and told me that my son won’t be seen as we are late… I asked them why they didn’t call me to let me know that my son won’t be seen for his feeding/speech therapy for which he has been waiting for 6 months to get it and they rudely replied that they are sorry for not calling me… someone needs to teach them some good customer service skills and how to do their job properly.

Very bad place.Supervisor Kristen she was dragging my daughter’s case when my daughter had a fist surgery they was scheduled 3times but at last minutes they were canceled they said they don’t have enough protocols.second time my daughter had surgery surgeon recommended the therapy they took a 3weeks to review the documents and scheduled her but last minute they canceled due to not enough the protocol but my surgeon provided all the documents for them.supervisor Kristen has some issues with my daughter.I have remember when my daughter was young she was vey mean and rude my daughter still she wants to punish that’s why she did this to my daughter.if they cannot do this they should have to tell first time but they dragging and dragging they make a worst my daughter I really hate them.if they don’t have good therapists they should have to close their facility.😡😡😡

We love Ms. Anna G. we have followed her from the green valley location to now the jones location. She has treated my baby girl Esme since 3 months old so my baby girl is attached to Ms. Anna, not only is she very knowledgeable and helpful but she's also super kind and caring with the kids. She has made therapy so much more easy and enjoyable. If you have a baby with torticollis she is the one to go to!

My son has autism and had been getting occupational therapy here for over a years the therapists are wonderful but the receptionist are mean and uncaring and I really want to change locations because of them I got called into work the day of an appointment I got there on time and asked the receptionist if they can shorten his appointment by 10 mins she said they can't cuz it would be counted as a event and he would lose his regular appointment times and I would have to wait 6 months to get another one. Than the therapist comes out and tells me she will shorten it for me they have terrible service here very mean receptionist I'm done with this location

He is simply the best! When my son first came in, he wasn't talking. I noticed during the very first appointment that Casey showed exceptional care to my son. He made my son feel comfortable and made the learning environment fun for my son. After just a couple of weeks, my son was starting to talk and interact more with my husband and I. Casey really has had such a positive impact on my son and his progression. We are so thankful for therapists like Casey who really love their jobs and the children they help.

Children run through the doors with excitement, therapists are treated with respect and gratitude, and all employees are welcomed with a bright, friendly and positive atmosphere to spend their day. Each location has specialty features, including skylights, sensory rooms, interactive games/virtual reality systems, a therapeutic swimming pool, and so much more! Each treatment room is equipped with a personal swing, and all of the toys one could beg Santa for! 😂 MLFCT is a wonderful place to work, and I bet the only people who appreciate more, are the parents who see such profound progress from choosing to be a part of the family!

I don't know about the other locations but this one was HORRIBLE with communication in regards to getting my child started in going there for speech therapy. I understand insurance takes a while but I called them for an update every week and it was always an excuse!!! After a MONTH of waiting and them still not having their stuff together. I decided to just ask the pediatrician for a referral to another place.

Therapist are wonderful and front staff are kind and friendly. I know it's not them who make and create the rules. I'm having problems with their policies. I'm giving them 2 stars because they are usually accommodating, EXCEPT in emergency situations. Which they need to fix for rare situations like mine! My car is put in the shop and it's going to cost over half months’ rent. yet, MLF wants a min. of 6 hours or more, notice or you'll have to pay a late cancelation fee. I’m already cutting into my rent money as it is, with the uber/lyft driver needing to pick up my child after school and paying for a tow too. I have no other family either, that can take her. I just don't understand why they can't waive this fee, with no other account adjustments, for this ONE RARE time. Now, it's most likely going to pile up on top of this one fee because i don't know exactly when i will be able to pay this fee, probably the next time I get paid in june or july. Yet, they can only combine events up to 2 weeks? we've been going to MLF for 2 years now and have been able to pay their fees in the past. Just can't this one time cause I’m already having to pay for my car to get fixed. PLUS, now i have to pay to have groceries delivered, because we have no food! I didn't foresee my car breaking down within their time frame. =,( MLF corp. is making me feel even worse and making my situation even worse!

We miss them dearly and hope some day My Left Foot Children’s Therapy will open centers around the greater cities of Los Angeles. My kids were spoiled with compassionate therapist there and We can’t seem find a center here that compares the Jones and Henderson locations. First ask them if they are fully booked or not. They have been giving me the run around with the scheduling for the initial assessment. After 4 months, my child hasnot been seen. They toldme to take the odd hours like early morning or they’ll give methe short notice when someone cancels an appointmentand my child can take that spot. They are not honest to tell you that they have staffing problems. I would have appreciated if they toldme they can’t accept new patients anymorebecause they are fully booked andnot wasted my time on this clinic. My child’s time is valuable and not just a “back-up” so it can help pay their bills. 👎👎 They are rated A+ at BBB? So not true. That’s a lie.

After waiting and waiting finally got an appointment, I have been with them for about 8 months now. We went thought lots and lots of therapists, they keep leaving for one reason or another. Our last speech theorist left 4 weeks ago, they still have not found a replacement. They seem to only care about billing your insurance and money. One night my son became very sick, I called to cancel our appointment and now because his Doctor wouldn't see him they want to charge me a cancellation fee, keep in mind over the past 8 months there were no lates or very few cancellations. Out of the 7 or more therapists we have been to few of them are very good and experienced, mostly right out of school. The rooms are monitored and everything said is being watched and listened to. If I had to do it again I would not go to them. I forgot to mention my son is on medicaid, and they are not to charge me for anything, isn't that illegal?

My niece was born at 24wks and 1 day. She was born weighing 1lb 3oz. She is currently 1 year old and is happy and healthy. When her therapists first started working with her at 4 months old she was very weak. Her therapists worked so hard to increase her strength and now she is doing so good! My niece has several issues but is doing so amazing you forget sometimes that she was born so early. She is talking now and almost walking! She has made such amazing progress and I thank My Left Foot Children's Therapy from the bottom of my heart for finding such amazing therapists! She is my family's miracle and I am so thankful that her therapists took such amazing care of her. We recently moved out of state and are having so much trouble finding a facility that gave her the level of care that My Left Foot Children's Therapy did. You really do not realize what you have until it is gone! My Left Foot Children's Therapy should open a facility in Arizona!

I usually don't go out of my way for reviews unless they a place is amazing. My Left Foot Children's Therapy is really just wonderful. I don't know what my family would've done without them!
My niece was born with clubbed feet and the doctors were so incredibly kind and kept my sister calm. Most importantly they're so knowledgable about the latest medical techniques to help children's bodies heal and grow. It took only a few months to get her tiny feet turn in the proper direction so she could start crawling. Emily, Nicole, and Rebecca are amazing to work with. The environment is really kid-friendly and engaging. My niece was always excited for her appointments.
If your child is having physical or speech issues give MLF a try as soon as you can. They will do everything they can to help.

One of my friends has a child with a developmental delay, and on one occasion, I accompanied her to this office for her daughter’s therapy session. The staff was so friendly and helpful to us as adults, and more importantly, they were even more warm and welcoming to her daughter! It was very obvious that the staff truly cared about the children to whom they provide service, because during the therapy session, we could tell that the therapist sincerely enjoyed her opportunity to connect with children. I would recommend this office to anyone!

My niece Katelyn was getting speech therapy through her school, but she wasn’t making much progress and her parents started looking for alternatives. I found this place online and after they visited to see it for themselves, they signed her up. They started seeing progress within the first few sessions, and just by talking with my niece I could see lots of progress too.
I’ve driven Katelyn to a couple appointments. The staff and the facilities are excellent. Katelyn actually looks forward to her sessions, which I never would’ve expected. In short, My Left Foot is absolutely first-rate.

Some said we should make her have back surgery right away (on a growing child) others put her in a $20,000 brace to try and straighten her out. My husband and I were just lost. A friend referred us here, and I was amazed. The people were great and so friendly to us and her. Not only did they welcome her warmly, but they have actually improved her back by not just a little, but to the point that she no longer has to wear her brace. I love these people!!!

I had been searching for a speech therapist for my son for quite a while. He's a very shy child so I was having a bit of a hard time finding some who he was comfortable enough around to even speak. When I had come across this place I had literally felt like I had hit the jackpot! As soon as we walked in I could see the change in my son's energy he just looked so much more comfortable!! The staff is absolutely wonderful and so kind, my son doesn't feel forced or pressured in any way. As for my son's speech, its a slow and steady battle and we don't get to visit as often as we would like considering the distance and my work but the improvement I see in my son's speech is remarkable.

My niece was having a hard time learning to form words, she would get frustrated and cry because we just could not understand what she was trying to say. When she turned 4, it was recommended she go to My Left Foot Children's Therapy for help. I went with my sister to the appointments and was amazed at how kind and compassionate the therapist was. She was able to understand my niece and explain to us how to understand her too. My niece began attending speech therapy alone and in a group. After every session I notice an improvement not only in her speech, but in the way she handles herself when we do not understand her. The rate at which she is improving will have her ready for kindergarten in the fall without having to worry she will be made fun of or need to go to a special class.
