I had a procedure at Nevada Cardiology Associates on February 13.

While the procedure itself was handled professionally, the billing practices are completely unacceptable and, frankly, alarming.

Before scheduling, I explicitly confirmed that my insurance would NOT cover the procedure. I was then offered a cash-pay option with a clearly stated price. On the day of the procedure, I reconfirmed this arrangement and paid the agreed amount in full.

Despite this, they later submitted a claim to my insurance for a significantly higher amount. The claim was denied (as expected), and now they are attempting to charge me additional money β€” completely disregarding the original agreement.

When I called to resolve this, they refused to acknowledge the issue and simply insisted that I owe them more.

This is not just poor communication β€” this is a serious breakdown in billing integrity. Agreeing on a cash price, accepting full payment, and then trying to bill more afterward is unacceptable.

I would strongly advise others to think twice before using this provider. Even if the medical staff is competent, their billing practices make them difficult to trust.

Dr Hsu and staff at this location are highly professional. I arrive one hour early trying to avoid falling victim to the road construction on Maryland Pkwy and I'm seen immediately - did not even sign in! Since changing my heart specialist in 2023 to Dr Hsu I've not been hospitalized. Dr Hsu prescribed to me the right medications so that all my lab results are within the normal limits. As a result I'm now exercising daily doing 10,000 step at 70% maximal heart rate, and conforming to Dietary Actions to Stop Hypertension (DASH diet). The front office has a "Chaos Manager" who keep order (LOL)

Dr. RICHARD CHEN, wins the best cardiologist award in the whole Las Vegas Area. A Few months ago, SIMON MED IMAGING put a real scary heart condition on me that almost put me in the psychiatric ward..They MISDIAGNOSED me with the worst type of Coronary artery heart disease around called TRIPLE VESSEL DISEASE ..This is the type of disease that people just drop dead from it..So I went to Dr. Chen, and he immediately saw my suffering and immediately ordered a battery of tests, including a very specialized test called NUCLEAR STRESS TEST , this particular tests apparently is able to see the inside and outside of your heart to diagnose these kinds of conditions. I had already resigned my self to a dreadful death, after such diagnosis by SIMON MED IMAGING..but to my surprise, and Dr.Chens testing. I HAVE NO SUCH DISEASE CALLED "TRIPLE VESSEL DISEASE " I'm very greatful to Dr. CHEN for saving my life as I was made to believe by SIMON MED IMAGING, I was doomed to die a horrible death. with such a terrible diagnosis..I WILL NEVER GO TO SIMON MEDICAL IMAGING AGAIN...But thanks to Dr. Chen I can live happy again..and look forward to a bright future with my family

I had a horrible experience scheduling an appointment with Dr. Sirulnick as an Aetna insured.

This young sounding girl just kept insisting she needs a referral to schedule even when my plan which she declined to verify because she was lazy and rude 'does not require any referral for speciality.'

Terrible customer service people.

I have to write this review to Aetna also as they were reccomending him.

Let me just start by saying im quite young, and i have so many heart issues that other cardiologists have never been able to help me with. I have POTS, as well as A-Fib & other issues. This started at age 18. It's VERY difficult to find a decent, honest doctor that will actually listen to you and do everything they can to figure out what is going on. If you have cardiac issues, are young, or have been to many other cardiologists, and can't find an answer, Dr. Eric Sirulnick is the doctor you've been looking for. I truly mean this! He's so kind, empathetic, patient, and he truly cares about my well-being. He preformed several cardiac surgeries on me, and i will always be grateful for him saving my life. He was able to stop my A-Fib arrhythmia while undergoing surgery. I literally trust him with my life. The staff here is also very patient. The front staff is patient. Tammy, the lady whom checks the pacemakers, is amazing. The surgery scheduler, Anna, is also sooooo kind. I am truly quite grateful for finding this office. I highly recommend it. Idk why it has 3 &1/2 stars, but they saved my life. I had been told by another cardio that i had heart failure, and to give up my life. Dr. Sirulnick has not only fixed my heart, but my mental state, as well as giving me hope for Doctors to actually care. Thanks to ALL of you that work here. You are all truly amazing heros, & not all heros wear capes- thank you πŸ™

The staff has absolutely no communication skills. Change your appt at the last minute. I can go on and on. Patrick Hsu is a great doctor but due to his staff I will no longer be going here nor will I ever recommend anyone to go there.

Dr. Hsu is the best doctor I have ever gone to. I have been going to him for 8 years and the longest I have ever waited in the waiting room is 5 minutes past my appointment time. Sometimes I get in early! The Maryland office is simply the best run office I have ever experienced. Dr. Hsu and his staff are very knowledgable and highly professional. I have extreme confidence in them and would recommend Nevada Cardiology to anyone seeking a good cardiologist.

The doctor is good.. but the office manager does not care about the patients. The attitude is not appreciated. The way she explains things to the patient is condescending and patronizing as if she is the boss the patients are the slaves.. asking only for a copy of my report for my husband is apparently impossible.. best doctors bad employees...

Made an appointment that was 2 1/2 months out. Got called to reschedule. It was another 2 months past my original appointment when they could see me. Horrible way to do business. Will find a different doctor.

My sister survived a widow-maker heart attack (the most deadly kind), so every one of my other physicians is insistent I see a cardiologist twice a year to check things out. I assume they are worried I will have one in their office and they don't want to deal with that....
I heard good things about Dr. Hsu. And they were all true. This doctor really knows his stuff. I've had a stress test, a nuclear stress test and an echocardiogram here. All were done professionally.
And the good thing is the office performs these tests in their office. You don't have to go anywhere else, which I find an enormous comfort and convenience.
Dr. Hsu goes over the results in mind-numbing detail (a good thing). He is blunt and direct, which works for me.
There's plenty of FREE parking. The front door is easy and accessible for people in a wheel-chair.
The office building is across the street from University Medical Center in case I do have that widow-maker.

This is an absolutely awful office. I do not normally feel compelled to leave a review, but Nevada Cardiology Associates managed to make an exception to that rule.

I called up one day to schedule an appointment. I was told I had been dismissed by the doctor for not showing up to an appointment. I had just spoken to the office previously about setting back my appointment because I had an echo during a hospital visit, so I quickly realized the mistake. I told the office that they told me we would move my appt back a few months, but they said they had no notation of that discussion. They refused to admit they called me after a certain point in time (despite me having literal evidence). I requested to talk to a supervisor about the issue in order to clear things up. The supervisor, ironically, never returned my call (expected same day) regarding communication issues. I called back the next week to restate my need to talk to a supervisor. They said the supervisor that was in that day had no knowledge of the situation, but they also said the original supervisor would call me when she got back to the office. She did not. I called some days later to restate my need to talk to a supervisor yet again. A front office worker explained my situation to a supervisor on duty (who I never spoke to myself) and promptly said it was ok to schedule me. I began scheduling my echo. After a couple of minutes a new voice hopped on the call. I was told I would have to call their other office within the practice to be dismissed by Dr. Robin and see other doctors within the practice. I was transferred to the other office (which obviously failed so I called manually) and told a worker there what I needed. This front office worker told me, repeatedly, that I had been dismissed from the practice. She would not assist me despite me explaining I had literally just been transferred to set up an appointment. The front desk worker talked to her supervisor, and apparently this supervisor backed her up. I was hung up on. That shocked me, as I was talking normally and explaining an important situation. To top it all off, the office had treated my INR within the last few months (it should be noted I was told to keep my INR at 1.8-2.5 despite the On-X valve being FDA approved for 1.5-2.0. The FDA range reduces the overall risk of death. My surgeon recommended 1.5-2.0 as well) ! Talk about weird...

To sum it up, this office is not functional. You won't get a call back the same day. You probably will never get a call back. Notes are not taken, but notes are sworn by. Even the supervisors can't get it together. Finally, the cardiologist told me I knew more about my warfarin than most nurses, so that made me uncomfortable.

This place is terrible and we suspect they use chemicals to harm your heart muscle. I had no cardiac problems before coming here and saw Dr. Baker. Because doctor Baker specializes in electrical heart issues he was quick to prescribe medication and never could tell us why. A week after the stress test I developed palpitations and I only had then once before years ago very mild and only lasted a day. They got worse after going to this place and two young people performed the nuclear stress test with no physician near. Very strange as any patient could need life threatening help. I should have walked out of there when I could sadly I can’t reverse time and now I’m suffering with many palpitations due a chemical they gave. Who knows, they might have a money desk with the pharmaceutical companies where they ruin people’s hearts so they can give them medications. Dr. Baker kept mentioning to me β€˜how are the flip flops?’ every time I saw him which I thought strange as at that time I hadn’t told him I even had them. Scary place I hope this can save someone and only wish I were warned. I am sure people have posted warnings before but they delete them.

Dr richard chen is very knowledgeable, considering his background and decades of experience in his field. He is very comforting and also humorous. I never had to wait for my appointment and always felt prioritized. Ive been to a few cardiologist and he is by far the best one. Do your self a favor and go to their offices. Staff was excellent and professional.
