Dr. Fareed Sheikh has been treating my heart conditions for several years. He is one of the best doctors I’ve ever had. Across all general care and specialties. He is compassionate, listens to concerns, and acts on them! He is very knowledgeable. Also he is an excellent diagnostician and has predicted my heart progression exactly right over the years. Dr Jose Aquino is one of my favorite Drs! There's always a wait to see him, but that's bec he's a really good cardiologist. He takes his time, doesn't rush you & explains things thoroughly, so you know how to take your meds. Rowena, the receptionist, is great. Gabby & Angel are terrific medical asst's. They're detail-oriented, while doing the EKG & taking notes on your current prescriptions. Maria at check out, is efficient & friendly. This ofc is very well run. They have many patients, but each individual is treated very well.

Dr Hawass is the doctor you wish all doctors were. She really is the exception to the rule. She is always positive, kind, professional, focused on prevention as well as developing and maintaining attainable goals (with the patient). She’s your cheerleader that genuinely cares about you. While Dr. Valencia had a good demeanor, he seemed rushed during my visits. He looked over my scans, said they looked fine/all clear. I asked if I can resume working out, he said yes. But he didn't ask about type of exercises I was used to or any limits on BPM during exercise. So I went home and figured it out myself after researching.

Consider me a clean freak, but this place was spotless! Not a speck or smudge on the floor, the bathrooms were sterilized, not even a piece of paper on the floor. That's what I like to see. Definitely enough seats, thank god for that. The staff, especially the tech that took care of my mom, Alex, was super nice and kept the visit calm and stress free, as well as being gentle administering the IV. My only pet peeve is the ramp outside, I know it's not their fault, but damn, does it have to be all the way at the end of the walkway? In this heat wave, it's horrible making people walk that far, especially with mobility equipment.

Needs better handicap access at their Pecos facility. Steps are closest to door. Ramp on either side of entrance still requires you to go up the curb. Otherwise office is very nice! They do a lot of testing here which is great instead of driving across town to their other locations.

Had a great experience here while they were taking care of my husband. Dr. Alkadri was running behind but was definitely very sorry about it. (I would recommend early appointments rather than late.) He was competent and answered all our questions. Would recommend him if you need a heart doc that is "the plumber" variety. His words, not mine.

Review is for the establishment, not my specific doctor, who was very talented and kind.
The nurse who initially took me in and took my weight did so, and then yelled out my weight in a room full of people. I was three months postpartum partum and it made me very uncomfortable. She also seemed agitated and antsy to be through with me, looking at her smart watch and chewing gum. Everyone else who helped including the student were nice. But yelling out my weight in a room full of people was really off-putting and upsetting.
