I am so impressed with NV Heart & Vascular and feel fortunate to be one of their patients. The staff is genuinely friendly, kind, respectful and efficient; always helpful and every single one seems happy to be working there. I could not imagine having a better Doctor than Dr Ali Namazi. He is patient, kind, soft-spoken, never appears, rushed and gives 100% of his attention, listening and allowing one to ask questions and express concerns, which are addressed immediately. I couldn’t ask for a better practitioner! I feel very fortunate to be one of his patients and, because I was so impressed with his demeanor and the care I received, I followed him and transferred my care when he left his previous group to join NV Heart. Every appointment is an enjoyable experience and I leave feeling reassured and secure.

Second opinion, second opinion, please consider a second opinion. I went here for a pre surgery exam and the Dr. tried to scam me out of multiple exams to “make sure my heart was ok” I am 42 years old, no heart issues myself or in the family. I had 2 good EKG exams and a successful stress test and this dr wanted me to do a sonogram of the heart and a test that included injecting dye into my blood to check my heart. I also told him I had surgery within a few days and with all these exams I would have missed it. Needless to say my surgery got approved without all these nonsense test and I was totally fine. My surgery was a success and I am happy I didn’t miss it because he wanted to make sure my already healthy heart was “healthy” with multiple tests that would have costed me hundred of dollars out of pocket.

My first vist to NV Heart & Vascular Ctr. Dr. Bonometti is excellent!! He is extremely knowledgeable, presents a friendly persona and listens to what the patient has to say. He thoroughly reviewed my lab results from other locations and provided me with an action plan to address the issue. He is effcient and instills confidence in the patient with realistic outcomes if you follow his guidance. I trust him and look forward to my next appointment with him.
The location has ample free parking and the staff is professional and polite even at their busiest times. The atmosphere is relaxing as you wait for your turn to be seen. I highly recommend the Windmill Clinic location for cardiology issues.

I should have believed the reviews. My husband was scheduled for an ablation to be done Dr. Namazi, who has zero bedside manner. I was not impressed but my husband wants to get this procedure over and done with so I rolled with it. No information was given prior to his appointment. When I asked for pre-op instructions I was told UMC would send us those. Nothing ever arrived. A week before the surgery someone from the office called and asked my husband if he was on certain meds and when he had taken his last dose. They then told him the ablation would have to be rescheduled for the next week because he needs to be off those specific meds for at least two weeks. No further calls were made to us, nothing has been rescheduled and I can't get ahold of anyone. I just get transfered around to voicemail inboxes and no one returns a call. UMC had no record of there being a surgery scheduled for my husband so I can only surmise this office failed to schedule the ablation at all. On the day he was supposed to have the original surgery, the office called wanting a review of how it went. 🙄😳 No one in this office knows what anyone else is doing. It doesn't matter if anything is being recorded in my husband's chart because no one is reading it. I have now made an appointment with an entirely different group because this is ridiculous. Avoid this office at all costs. The level of incompetence is wild but sadly, seems to be the norm.

Its very surprising to me to see all these bad reviews. I have been taking my mom here for the past 8 months and have had nothing but great service. We've had to reschedule multiple times due to my mom not feeling well enough to leave the house and we haven't had any issues with getting a quick reschedule for tests. Each time we have gone in we have been early and were called back quickly even before our appointment time. Years ago I had to come here as well for testing and had a no issues besides one time I had a long wait. But after going here about 12 different locations one long wait time isn't enough for a bad rating. You never know what could be happening behind the scenes.

The doctors are excellent BUT the staff are CLUELESS and I had a july referral but couldn't get an appt until December because the idiot making my appt couldn't look up the referral and then he scheduled me as a new patient even though I told him countless times that I was an existing patient and I had a cardiologist already .im post triple bypass and stroke and I am in need of vascular surgery immediately because of PAD diagnosis, my arteries in legs are 80 percent blocked. This is a life or death situation and I can't be playing games with an incompetent staff. I love both my cardiologist and surgeon from the group but am I really in good hands if I can't get in to see them? Also I had another experience with the staff that they didn't see an order written for STAT and they scheduled not only a month later but the wrong test!!! Extremely stressful and they need to replace the entire office ! I actually worked medical office and medical billing so I know what it should look like and run like .Too bad I am retired .

You’ll be hearing from my laywer. IF YOURE READING THIS, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! The doctors and staff do not care whether you live or not. They will use up your insurance on the most expensive testing and then shaft you and tell you they’re too busy to see you for months. The lady who answers the phone for all of the locations in the AM is not only rude and unprofessional, but a liar. She does everything she can to make it impossible to communicate with the cardiologist and staff. I asked her to take a note down and she said “not my job, you can call back though”. Your job is to answer the calls of patients outside of operating hours. That’s literally your job. Taking and leaving notes.

Unprofessional, they called to cancel my parents’ appointment on the same day. My parents rode an uber and went there to know that their appointment is canceled and reschedule it the next day. What a waste of time and money. The appointment has been scheduled at least 2 weeks ago and they never checked protocols or procedures beforehand? Not recommending this place.

I am a cash-paying customer. Upon my arrival two days ago, I paid the agreed-upon self-pay rate of $220 — $195 for the visit and $25 for the EKG. When the front desk clerk said my debit card transaction didn’t go through, I immediately showed him proof on my phone that the $220 had posted as pending on my bank account. He acknowledged it and said he would make a note in my file.

Today, I received a text saying I had an outstanding bill. When I checked, it showed a balance of $619 under "self-pay." I called billing right away to get clarification. They told me the original $220 payment was marked as "voided," and that the $619 was the default self-pay rate in their system. However, they refused to adjust the balance to reflect the $220 before I made another payment. I was told I needed to pay again first, and then they could look into making the correction — which makes no sense.

I made it clear I don’t want to be left with a $400+ balance because someone failed to properly apply my payment or forgot to update my billing. I also asked them to put their explanation in writing, but they refused. They were extremely unhelpful and unwilling to correct a simple error despite clear documentation on my end. I just wanted the balance corrected to reflect the $220 I actually pay/paid (that apparently didn't go through) — before I make any additional payments. This highly poor business practice on their end, it seems like just another way to screw over John Q Customer. I asked for a simple explanation in writing and they would not produce this! I asked them to adjust the price to reflect my correct balance of 220.00 they refused, said they could not do that either. This is very poor practice that seems fishy!

WARNING: Avoid this place if you value your health, time, and sanity.

While the doctors themselves are competent, the scheduling and insurance verification staff are some of the most careless, unprofessional, and incompetent people I’ve ever dealt with in a medical setting. I’ve had multiple appointments cancelled—not because of me, but because they repeatedly fail to schedule correctly or submit pre-authorizations on time. Their lack of urgency and accountability is beyond unacceptable.

I’ve had my blood drawn three times, only to be told I have to do it all over again due to their mistakes. Most recently, I was supposed to have an important heart scan, but thanks to their laziness and complete disregard for patient care, my appointment was cancelled again—and now I have to wait over a month to get rescheduled. This is not just inconvenient; it’s dangerous when patients are depending on timely care.

The staff here clearly has no respect for patients’ time or health. It feels like they operate on autopilot, with zero sense of responsibility. If you can avoid this place, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. You’ll save yourself from endless frustration and potential delays in receiving critical care.

Staff doesn’t know what they’re doing. The medical assistant didn’t take my blood pressure correctly , then put a false diagnosis of hyper tension on my medical records. I’ve seen 5 doctors in the past week and no one has said I have hypertension. Then the doctor explained to them they were using the system wrong. I will definitely be switching heart doctors. The doctors seems like he cares but his staff is very questionable. The unprofessionalism here is scary.

Had two tests scheduled today one was at 9:30am and the other was at 11:30am. I waited 2 months for this appointment and took a day off from work. While getting ready to go to my appointment I get a call at 8:00am that my 9:30 test is cancelled and I need to reschedule because the tech called in sick the day after St. Patrick’s Day. The lady says the soonest they can reschedule this test is in one month so I have to wait another month. She says I should still take my test at 11:30 and I agreed. I get ready to go to my 11:30 appointment and the same lady calls me at 10:00 to tell me there canceling that appointment cause the machine is broken. So she schedules this test in one month the day before my other test on the other side of town or else I have to wait two more months for the test. So now I have to miss work on two seperate days now. Things happen but if your cancelling my appointment with no fault of my own you should accommodate me at the soonest possible available time and not tell me I have to wait another 2 months if I want to take my tests on the same day.

Be careful with this place, they will go for the most expensive tests to charge your insurance a big amount then you have to pay a big coshare, I needed a stress test, and they failed to submit an approval for the medecine used that day, which by the way I have to say I was not expecting, I thought I was going for a treadmill stress test not a chemical one that cost more than 9,000, I had copayments I paid and I end up with a bill for almost 3,000. They should disclose in advance how much the testings will cost so you can decide if you can afford it, on top of that all I can do is pay in 12 payments, but they refuse they want it in six payments. I regret going here. be aware.

This place is absolutely terrible. You will wait for hours, and much of that time will be spent standing, as they do not properly accommodate their patients. When I was there, they were severely overbooked, with a line extending out the door—many of those waiting were senior citizens. As someone younger with back pain, I found it extremely uncomfortable, so I can only imagine what these elderly patients had to endure. There is a clear lack of care and consideration in how they operate.

You will have to reschedule your appointment.” Fast forward a few months to now where I keep getting messages saying I’m going to be sent to collections if I don’t pay them. Pay for what?! Services that didn’t happen? Not to mention I have double coverage so I shouldn’t be paying for anything! I have called 5 times told them to bill my insurance correctly and it has YET TO BE DONE! Keep sending your threats of sending me to collections because your POS facility will NEVER see a penny from ME! Have the day y’all deserve and stay clear away from this money hungry, gaslighting establishment!

Be aware!! especially seniors! The billing department of this clinic will bill you without going thru your insurance and force you to pay out of pocket for services not even rendered. They will intimidate and coerce you to pay without informing you the cost of treatment if insurance will not cover.
I went in for just a heart check up. Dr recommended me to get series of exams. I have very good insurance, and so I assumed that they will go thru my insurance first and make sure that the procedure will be covered or not.
I also assumed like all other drs clinics that they will inform you of the coverage or not before letting you get the procedure. This clinic NEVER went thru my insurance and is billing me for THOUSANDS of dollars for a heart monitor that I used for one day and developed allergy to the things that stick to your skin. I returned the monitor after a day and told them of the allergic reaction I had.
Now they are FORCING me and threatening to take me to collections if I don't pay them the $4500 for a monitor I used for one day and developed bad reaction to it.
I feel I might not be the only one they are doing this to. Other seniors are probably getting intimidated and being forced to pay for something that they never got pre authorization from the insurance company for first!!
Be very careful!!!

Whatever you do, get a different referral. Listen to all the 1 star reviews, test after test after test, none really telling me why. Just to find out hey everything is good. after waiting 2 hours for my appointment. took less then 5 mins and they charged me 190$ for that. Of course, that's why they don't do it over the phone, can't charge you that way. 4 months later I'm still getting bills for thousands of dollars from them.

Update: 1-22-24 If I could I would give this place a 0 .... wish I would have never went here.

After months of constant back and forth calls with their billing department.

According to the records from the billing department at Nevada Heart and Vascular. My secondary insurance denied my claims because they were listed as Primary first insurance/Primary Physician and did not receive a pre authorization approval. At the time I had two health insurances, I had
Multiple appointments (Why would anyone keep going to the appointments if they thought they werent covered?!) checking with my secondary insurance it was being processed. Months after these appointments were finished I received the letters in the mail for over $2k.

No one at the front office seemed to care when I had asked if the secondary insurance accepted the pre-authorization each time I went they said it was covered.

I am having my insurance do an external review on this place. It's taking awhile and I expressed this to the billing department, they said they would not send anymore bills reminders out but I received a final notice bill today and giving me now a week to pay a $2k Bill! If I don't it would be sent out to collections in a week from now.

If youre still thinking of this place. Look anywhere else...

Wow. What a horrible place. This staff is rude and uncaring. My doctor didn’t really listen to my concerns and said I had a “skinny woman syndrome” on my final visit. He said I had abnormal reading on pet scan but didn’t care to explain… When I had questions about my insurance the woman at the front office just handed me a card and said to call that… I asked if my doctors were in my network and still couldn’t get a straight answer. A month passed and I got a huge bill from them, asking about it through their billing phone number I was told by Marc that he would send it to his higher office and and they would figure out a plan for me in 3 weeks and to expect a call back. They never did and I got another bill with an increase balanced for it being past due by an extra few hundred dollars more! This place is out for your money then your health. Stay away!!!

Edited to add: they responded to this review offering to make things right. So I sent them the requested information and received no further response. They didn’t even bother to try.

Dr Gururaj is a pro at getting you out of his office as fast as possible. In 3 appointments I probably spent 10 minutes with him total. So with my copay I spent over $100 for 10 minutes.

He comes in, says what he needs to say then stands up and ushers you out without even asking if I had questions.

I was referred to an electrophysiologist re: my PCP’s concerns that I had Lown Ganong Levine syndrome and that it may be aggravating the symptoms I already have due to POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia syndrome).

I asked if the LGL is the possibility that I was hospitalized after my tilt table test. I stated that “everyone” who’s seen the TTT results said it’s positive for POTS but not typical. Is this because I also have LGL? He dismissed the idea altogether with no further explanation except for “your EKG’s don’t knock my socks off”

As soon as I mentioned my neurologist in Phoenix that is treating my POTS he interrupted me again, saying the neurologist doesn’t know anything. And that HE is a POTS expert. Funny because this “neurologist” has been treating POTS and EDS patients like me for over 25 years and used to work for the Mayo Clinic before opening his own clinic.

Anyway, again he didn’t even answer my questions or discuss my concerns and prescribed me a beta blocker 🙄

My husband and I used a cardiologist at this practice for a number of years. We really liked him and he was in network with our insurance so we held our noses and put up with a staff that didn't seem to want to do their jobs. Every time we needed to make, cancel or reschedule an appointment over the years we had to go into the office because no one answers the phones! We had several other issues over the years but, again, we wanted to continue seeing our doctor so we put up with it.

Recently, however, we've been billed incorrectly by this practice. We've spoken to our insurance company and, according to them, the practice deleted a number of doctors from their provider fields in the computer system which screws up billing. It is up to the practice to correct this but they have not and, as a result, we are forced to pay for services above our copays, which we are not supposed to have to do. The facility is insisting the doctor is in network, but he no longer is and they are not owning up to the fact that they've made a mistake, nor are they reaching out to the insurance company for help to rectify the issue. I actually submitted proof to them that things were being billed as "out of network" and yet they still refuse to own up to their mistake!

This is so unethical! If they do not want to participate with our insurance anymore, they should just let us know but that's not how they're handling it. This practice has gone from bad to worse and, needless to say, we're forced to find another cardiologist.

The customer support/billing practices are now absolutely deplorable here, and judging from so many bad reviews, it doesn't look like we're alone in our opinion or bad experiences!

The staff doesn't want to work. Very hard to make an appt, have to leave a message most times. When you do finally get through, they hang up mid conversation.

Nobody like going to the Dr especially a heart Dr. But I got blessed when I found this place. Brittany at the front desk is always a pleasure to deal with and makes the check in process very easy and always has a smile and respectful. My dr is Dr bowers and he is a amazing Dr who goes all out to make sure you're ok and does the proper test. Then you have Alma at check out who always answers my questions and works around my schedule and always respectful and easy going.
