This is a great location to visit for if you’re looking to get new glasses or contacts, and if you’re looking to be greeted with professional and friendly staff members. If you’re also thinking about trying out contacts, they’ll train you for your first time. A staff member by the name of Naylea trained me on getting comfortable with putting contacts on, which is how I ended up getting my first pair of contacts a few months ago. This is now the only location I go to for my eye care now.

I was calling around different optometrists in my area to schedule an eye exam for my child and came across Optic Gallery. After three calls and two callbacks, they finally verified my discount plan and quoted me $75 for the exam plus the cost of contacts. Sounded fair, so I made an appointment. Everything seemed normal — I even got a few text messages from them to confirm the visit.

I took time off work and arranged to pick up my child from school for the exam. Then, 24 hours before the appointment, I got a call saying the price would actually triple because “someone made a mistake.” The only thing they offered was an apology. When I asked if the business would take any responsibility for their employee’s error, the woman replied, “Why?”

Very unprofessional. Think twice before doing business with this place.

I don't believe I've ever been in a place of business where the employees are so polarized (pun intended). The front desk people are horrid and argumentative. Bad first impressions, they literally act like they don't want you there. They had my insurance card, and I asked how much a service would cost after insurance. I was told what the fee would be $XXX minus your insurance for a total of $XX. I said that seems rather high? I was told 'That's what it costs.'
The examination people however were friendly and helpful.
Then you get to the sales people: Totally obnoxious again. You ask a very simple question, and they are evasive and non-helpful. I literally had to ask the same question 4x to actually get a straight answer. They literally don't know how to communicate. I then asked what the fee for a service (the one that I asked the front desk about, and no there wasn't any miscommunication on it) would be and was told it would be $XXX minus insurance which would come to $X. So apparently they have a fee scale of: We will charge whatever we want to charge.
Another thing I noticed after I got home, was that my insurance covers certain options completely with zero co-pay including frames. Optic Gallery didn't tell me that though, they only offered me the HIGHEST cost options, which cost me over $250 for a pair of glasses. I went home and called my insurance company, and they told me what it should have cost. My glasses the next year were covered free. ONLY after I told them my insurance company says you have frames they cover (in the back room which they don't tell you about). I asked about what contacts would cost, and they said it depends on the exam, but the fitting was $150 plus the contacts. I told them my insurance covers the fitting. They said 'No, it will be $60 out of pocket.' Not true. After my exam I asked how much the contacts would be? They said $560 a year. I went to Target optics and my fitting was free (totally covered by insurance) and contacts were $110 for a year.
Don't ever trust these guys, I don't recommend them at all.

Been coming here for years. The girls are heading to Puerto Vallarta on OG’s dime because of what I paid for lenses alone…joking but not joking. They really are going to Mexico and I expect to pay as much anywhere else. Warby Parker was 600 with frames and Eyeglass World was 700. Eyebuydirect was affordable but with my stigmatism it is important a human being puts dots on the lenses where the focal point needs to be. I got two sets of the macdaddy’s with all the coatings…progressives, transitions, anti-glare, scratch resistant, poly.

So, in a nut shell…competence, warm, skilled staff, and good selection of frames. They work with me allowing 1/2 down and balance upon receipt…you can’t go wrong. Come see them. Keep in mind eggs are now 9.99/doz…the corporate world we live in is unsympathetic. You’ll spend but get a great product.

I was actually on my way to a competitor & decided to try this place. Awesome!!!! I had an eye exam that I never had before and was very please with every result. A COMPLETE exam. I recently went to this location for an exam, updated prescription, and ordered new glasses. I would strongly encourage you if you go here to order glasses, that you double check the frames they are ordering for you and get a written copy of the receipt with the model number of the glasses you want, so if the wrong frame gets ordered you have proof it was a mistake and you can get the correct frame covered by insurance.
I did not do this, and after my exam, I picked out a pair of glasses after trying on several similar pairs. I paid for them, declined the receipt, went back in a week later to pick up my new glasses (again with no paperwork), and immediately knew the ones that had been ordered were not the pair I fell in love with a week ago. I said this, and the staff told me "no, those are the ones you ordered". I went over to the glasses selection and picked out the frames I had liked the previous week and told them "these are the glasses that I picked out", was told again "no, you picked out the ones that we ordered". They said, "come back in a week if they aren't working for you and we can see what we can do."
I came back a week later to let them know, the prescription is right but the wrong frame had been ordered. We went over to the glasses selection, and the frames that I had liked were no longer there, but they would be getting in a shipment which they "could be" apart of later in the week.
Since the prescription is correct, I have no written proof of the frames I wanted originally, the staff never acknowledged that there was a mistake and they intended to fix it, and the frames I wanted weren't there the second time, I have little faith that even if the correct frames were available and could be ordered, that I would have to pay nothing else out of pocket for the mistake. I have chosen to give up and write this review to warn others to get paperwork to cover yourself.
A couple other side notes, they didn't give me a written copy of my prescription at the end of the visit, so you will need to ask for this for your records if it is something you want. The lenses they have here are also thicker than I have gotten previously at another optometry clinic with the same prescription (-4.00). When I mentioned this to the staff they said "they just look thicker once they are in the frame" "they are the same as your other pair" when to me, these lenses are noticeably thicker sticking out of the frame. On a positive note, I was able to get an appt very quickly and the Dr. does a very thorough explanation of your eye scan results.

Paid $400 for two boxes of contacts in 2021. Don't let them sway you into changing your prescription. It's not as easy as they say as far as swapping out your contacts. Truly disappointed. I advise future patients to get all quotes before going in for exam. They just swiped $120 for a box of contacts, then came back and told me I owe them another $65. Great place, clean facility, very helpful staff. Prices are in line for the products they offer. Always feel at ease when going here. I live in Salt Lake City and still do my yearly check up when I’m in town. Highly recommend.

They were very helpful. Another place told my husband he didn’t have vision insurance and wanted him to pay out of pocket. This place researched and found he did have insurance!!! The staff are very friendly and helpful especially Tiffany!

I had an appointment today to see them I loved there clinic very nicely designed awesome doctors and opticians Dr.Erin Frillarte was awesome very friendly very knowledgeable very thorough in her eximanation Bev the optician very knowledgeable about the fit of the glasses the wear and had an amazing attitude truly amazing woman it was an awesome visit all the way thru

The service at the Optical Gallery was amazing. The office was clean and the staff was very professional and friendly. I was extremely impressed that the doctor took his time to ensure my prescription was accurate. The prices were reasonable for the quality of the products and services. I would highly recommend this office.
