I've been coming here for years, when the optometrist was a male. He was awesome I forgot his name. The ladies at the front excellent customer service. NOW forget it. I had a checkup with Dr Patel. I got new clear glasses for distance. So I stopped by the office to pickup my glasses. The receptionist gets my information, brings out my glasses and puts it on the table. Back in the day they would tell u to try it on to ensure the glasses are OK. That didn't happen. I put the glasses on omg I couldn't see it was soo blurry. What the heck. I have NEVER EVER had a problem with my prescription until now. They gave me readers instead of glasses for distance! This is unacceptable. Need to go find a clinic that knows what they're doing and are Not incompetent!!

I specifically told the front desk I did not want the added back-of-the-eye photo. I asked the assistant about this new test I was doing, but he was barely responsive. He did not explain what the test was when I inquired that this was something new. I wasn't aware that I would be charged for something I had opted out of. I also explained this to the cashier when checking out that I did not want the additional test. Is this office so desperate for $ 29 that you have to trick customers into incurring this charge? I will never come here again.

Everyone is exceptional at their jobs. It’s hard to improve on perfection. If I owned this place I wouldn’t change a thing, except give everyone a raise or bonus of some kind because the people or team you have there right now are going to make you a lot of money. Their attitudes, personalities and positivity is infectious. Take my advice and don’t let these people get away from you. It would be a shame to lose them.

The practice has been purchased by a corporation. It’s not the same. Inferior frames marked way up. The optician that was excellent is gone. Basically higher prices for inferior products.

Very thorough exam. Great doctor with a wonderful and knowledgeable staff. Bright cheerful and very clean office. Love the optical department. Large selection and fair prices. Dr Wlodak is one of the best optometrists in Las Vegas. My career in sales had me call on all the local eye doctors.... so I know a great office!

This place is great and I'm a bit amazed. I told them that I come only for my insurance. Nothing out of pocket except co pay. The assistant were excellent help setting up and Dr. were there within 3 minutes. New management look better than before no attitude with respect. Thank you....keep it up

Very disappointed! I have been coming here for 5+ years, this was the first time I received glasses based on their recommendation and have had an issue and they did not want to do anything to help.
I told them during the exam and when getting lenses, I don’t have a problem with distance and just needed glasses for workstation. I even told Dr Tran I would not keep glasses on if I had progressives that allowed distance. I am relying on their expertise and what they have as far as my history and all they can say is that things are measured correctly. I will not be going back and neither will my kids.

I've got a million and one thank-yous and specifically to Ciara. Ciara is an optician that truly advocates for the client. Since my last pair of glasses were unrealistically expensive - as long as there was no change to my vision, there was no way I was going to purchase a new pair.

But Ciara had already reviewed my insurance plan and knew the frames and what additions were covered when she approached me. So when I asked her the bottom line as to how much a new pair of glasses would cost, she was able to tell me.

Well, I walked out with a new pair of glasses which are probably my favorite pair and for the least amount of money I've ever paid. If it weren't for Ciara and the proactive action she took, I would not have been able to utilize my insurance to its fullest. Thank you to this office and to Ciara.

Dr Lodek will be dearly missed. He's the first optometrist i've ever had in my life that I felt really cared and took their time. Now that he's in retirement, I gotta admit I was a bit hesitant about still going to the same place. However, I was very impressed that they maintain the level of detail and offered the same services as well as just overall friendliness in the office. Have to say, hands down the very best optometrist I have ever been to. The front of the house was upscale, clean with top of the line brands and all the latest technology and style eyewear. The back of the house was clean, comfortable, and also up to date equipment that is well maintained. The staff in the front where on top of there game with digital new patient paper work available, text messaging appointment/reminders, and very helpful when it came to picking the right lenses/frames. Finally Rupert is hands down the the best optometrist I have ever had. He walked me through all the normal test, then went above and beyond. By making sure he diagnosed my vision correctly. He administered test that no other optometrist had taken the time to preform before. 32 years of being near sited and no optometrist before had told me I had a stigmatism nor did they diagnose me correctly I had been wearing a prescription of +1.25 forever but today I found that a different prescription actually improved my vision 100 fold. He took time to answer questions I had about contacts that I have never been able to wear comfortably. He spotted irrigation in my left eye and gave me eye drops. I tell you if u had your run of the mill 30 minute basic eye exam your entire life, you need to go here. Their basic eye exam will change the way you see optometry and the world!

I had a really good experience (: They helped me right away when I got there, I was only in the waiting room for about 10 min. Or less. And the dr was very friendly too. I’m kinda goofy and slow lol and they were very patient with me and kind. They helped me put in my contacts. Overall everything was good, I really like this place (: I will definitely be coming back here. And i will recommend if anyone in my family needs to see a eye dr!

I bought glasses from this place and they messed up my order. My glasses came out with yellow shade like for computer. When I asked other Vision Centers they said blue light reduction comes out clear. I complained and they said they cannot change it because my glasses is not insured. Yet it was not my error. If I damaged my glasses then I am willing to pay insurance for that. They were going to charge me to re-do everything.

I gave this place a try 2 years later after that incident for contacts this time. They were pushy for getting you to order a yearly supply and I haven't even tried a pair. I can't see serial numbers with contacts and I need to for my job. Contacts they gave me are older model. COVID hits and I can't return the contacts due to stay at home mandate. Waste of money for sure.

I’ve been going to Optical Effects Vision Center for over 10 years now. I’ve never had a bad experience. It’s funny because this place was recommended to me when my former insurance wasn’t working out w/ the Walmart Vision Center. Anyway, Dr. Wlodek and the ladies at the front office are always sweet, nice, and helpful to my needs.

I developed a problem with my eyes and it is something that happened quickly. Being a little scared I called on a Friday morning and explained my situation. I was given an appointment the same day within 2 hours of my call. The excellent treatment I always receive from the front office staff is amazing. Dr. Wlodek eased my fears and explained in detail what was going on. I felt so relieved after leaving there. I would highly recommend Optical Effects.

Great doctor and excellent staff! Really impressed with their enthusiasm. Very interested in the Snail Tracks program on the state of the art equipment. You don’t see Snail Tracks just anywhere!
