I want to make others aware of my experience with Overton Psychological Facility so there are no surprises.

If you’re having a psychological evaluation for bariatric surgery or another procedure, be sure to ask detailed questions about their billing practices before your appointment. In my experience, my insurance was billed twice: once for the actual assessment on the date of service and a second time, for the same amount, for the provider to write the evaluation report. This resulted in higher out-of-pocket costs than I expected.

If I had known this beforehand, I would have looked for a different provider. I recommend asking whether they bill separately for preparing the written report so you can make an informed decision and avoid unexpected expenses.

The sessions with the therapist were wonderful, however, the owner had an attitude that destroyed my experience there. Refusing to provide patient's request for medical records to help with a court case. Causing my therapist to "quit" working for the center because of her un-coorperative help with the patients. I do not recommend going there.

Sent a bill for over $1000 when I had 2 insurances (not billed correctly obviously). The charges were for me sitting in a room by myself, filling out a scantron that was on a dry erase board, and FaceTiming with a psychiatrist for 45 minutes. Apparently it took the "technician" longer to "read" my answers than it took me to answer the questions, turns out they bill by the hour. Outrageous.

To clarify, there are apparently 2 Dr.Overton's in Psychology but this one is Male, the other is Female. HE made me feel comfortable right away, very professional and realistic goals and approach. It made me reach out for additional services. I feel this groups is an asset to mental health in helping with my person life's journey. This is hard to find.

Morgan is amazing and friendly! Goes not only out of her way, but out of her job description to help clients! When my surgeon fell through, she found a new suggestion for me, witch worked out better for me in the long run! Very great full!

Palka Bhasin helped me recover from a mental condition. Being a corporate employe, At certain point, I felt that I am not able to work & how performing. The first thing I felt was to leave the job or to take a long break. But palka helped me analyze the actual issues with my mental health. As I wasn't able to focus there were many factors she analyzed. e.g. eating habits, exercise, vitamin d3 b12 efficiency,etc. I can see the difference in my work as well as in daily life (health & productivity). I highly recommend checking out at trijog if you are facing any issues related to mental health. I am pretty confident now & my productivity too seems improved a lot. Thanks Palka.

Stay clear of this place.. My co pay was 15 dollars and they came back just before an important next step for my back issues and demanded 60 more in 4 different 15 dollar co pays , all from one visit

Beware! Only giving one star because it’s required.

They aren’t the best at billing and then after it was billed late (after incorrectly) and denied by my insurance I was told billing is a courtesy. Yeah next time don’t do me any courtesies and just let me handle my own billing. I was in their office September 2020 and my bill is still not resolved. They are withholding my records because of this and holding up my surgery.

Obviously with this I was frustrated called and spoke with three different people and then hung up on because they didn’t like my language. Wow just wow!

Hope everyone has better luck with these folks then I did- I’ve never encountered anything like this.
Just admit when you’re wrong- it’s going to get paid one way or another so release my documents to me. Ridiculous and unprofessional!

Be very CAREFUL AS TO WHAT YOU SIGHN AT THIS OFFICE!
Even if you pay your co-pay and the insurance pays their portion. They will bill you above and beyond that. Total bull,! Big time racket!
