Such a great Dentist. I have been to so many in this town since moving here in 2001. Each time I am so disappointed, that I look for another one. A close friend recommended Dr J (nickname for the hard to pronounce last name). She is amazing. So nice, gentle, and very knowledgeable and professional. Never looks for anything not needed. Gives advice as to what she recommends, but doesn’t push, and will do what you want handled. Takes most insurance and Medicare. Very flexible on schedules. My search for the best is over. I highly recommend this Dentist. Her Staff is also wonderful, friendly and professional. And a shout out to the fantastic Office Manager and front desk gal: Chris. Great overall operation.

Customer service matters, especially in a healthcare setting, and unfortunately my experience with the front desk was far from pleasant.

This is the best dentist in Nevada! We love Dr.J and all of the staff. The hygienist Emy is so professional and kind she always remembers us and chats with us. Chris at the front desk always makes sure to accommodate us and answers any insurance questions we have in a timely manner. My son is 5 years old and feels right at home at the office. He even fell asleep on the chair while he waited for me to finish my appointment. If that’s not a family friendly environment I don’t know what is! Our family has been going to Preferred Family Dentistry for several years. Always a positive experience, the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Last year due to a pain issue, they were able to get me in the same afternoon as when I called. Recently I decided to have my 25 year old veneers replaced. Removal took a long time, Dr. J and Emy made sure I was comfortable, taking small breaks when needed, making the experience much less stressful. Can’t wait until the new veneers are finished so I can post about my new smile!

Kris at the front desk has terrible service manner. I had an appointment made 6 months prior and upon showing up 10 minutes before my scheduled appointment she told me she had cancelled it that morning. She stated I didn't pick up the phone when she called to ask about insurance and assumed I wouldn't show up. This is unacceptable service manner. She had no idea if I was paying out of pocket or using insurance and decided to just cancel my appointment. I don't understand how this office can just assume everyone is available to take phone calls during the workday. In addition I drove from over half an hour away for my appointment. The normal cadence would be you receive service first and then pay for it with whatever method you choose. Here, Kris seems to just assume you can't afford it and cancel your appointment for you.

I have been going here since 2007, 19 years! Dr. J has ALWAYS taken care of my family and I. She's knows my family by name, and she has gotten to know us. I was even able to be seen last minute for an emergency issue I had. She has multiple locations. Scheduling is easy, and have never had an issue. I mean, who likes to go see a dentist. Who in the hell gives a 1 experience with Dr. J? A great dentist is one you have to ask are you finished when they start taking the gloves. It ran that smooth and relaxing. Several injections to numb the area and never felt a thing. That's why a lot of people don't go to the dentist because of unmanaged pain injections. Never a worry with Dr. J. She did a root canal and put it on the screen; perfect. Dr. J and Em (assistant) work great together in the room, and Chrissy keeps the front office tight. I do regret going astray for years from Dr. J, I probably would have all my teeth today, but she's coming to the rescue with a plan. Do I recommend Dr. J, definitely a yes.

I've been coming here for dental work since 2014 and love the doctor and staff! They are one of the few medical teams I've kept since I moved to Vegas, and even kept them once I moved 20+ minutes away. I had a dental emergency and they fit me in that same day, and I've been going there since.

The staff and doc are very kind. They understand tooth pain and will always try to help as soon as possible if they can. When I've needed more complicated work done, they've always referred me to good specialists as well.

Note that they are closed Fridays, but they often work some minor holidays to help serve teachers and similar industries that can't come during regular business hours.

I love the doctor (gentle ) and the dental assistant, but I find the front desk staff very sarcastic and pushy when it comes to scheduling return visits or encouraging anyone to come back as a customer. I hate writing this because it affects the doctor’s review, but I wish they had someone more competent—someone who isn’t passive-aggressive with texts or appointments. There are too many dental offices out there to feel uncomfortable returning just because the front desk acts like they own the place.

As for the service, my husband’s crown didn’t fit properly three times, which was so inconvenient that he decided he didn’t want to go back, though I still did. I also don’t feel the need to bring all three of my kids since they don’t have enough technicians to clean their teeth all at once and never authorize for appt but will follow up. Somehow, my kids’ info from supposedly 2020 was recently added to my account without my authorization. When I questioned it, they directly blamed me. I think they should limit reminder texts to patients who no longer want to go or who’ve never been patients—I view it as unethical. We’re all adults here, and respect is required.

The fact that I had to leave two voice messages and send two texts with no response—while she’s able to respond to other inquiries—seems unprofessional. So, I called again to cancel my appointment. I believe people will slowly stop coming to the office, not because of the doctor, but because of how the front desk rubs people the wrong way.

I can’t say enough, nice things about this dentist and the staff. Everyone is so kind, the dentist is very nice and she is very gentle and they are honest, which isn’t always easy to find here in Las Vegas. I highly recommend Preferred Family Dentistry.

I've been going to Dr. J's office for about 5 years now. They've always been organized, clean and kind. I love catching up with the staff every time I come in for a cleaning because they just have that friendly easy going vibe.

A year or 2 ago I had some weird tooth pain that I'd never experienced and gave them a call. A lot of other places might leave you hanging or charge an arm and a leg for seeing you on short notice, but they didn't. They had me come in right away for X-rays to see what was going on.

If you're in the area, I recommend giving them a try. I certainly don't plan on looking for another dentist for a long time.

I have been coming to Dr. J for years. I had moved across town and had an emergency issue, saw a dentist next to where I live and they tried to charge me some ridiculous amount. I should have just went to Dr. J in the first place, she fixed the issue for a fraction of the cost and completed all the work the same day. She’s the best along with her wonderful staff!

I’ve been going to see Dr J for many many years now. I really don’t like going to the dentist but if you have to go, you might as well see someone who will take good care of you.
