Dr. Rahul Devroy joined Intermountain Health because he wanted to make a positive difference in the lives of his patients and their families. Dr. Devroy earned his undergraduate degree in biology from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. He earned his medical degree from Texas A&M College of Medicine in Bryan, Texas. He completed residency at the UNLV Internal Medicine Program where he managed a team of interns and medical students and did multiple critical care rotations during the COVID-19 pandemic. Growing up in the small town of Katy, Texas, Dr. Devroy developed a great sense of community which he carries through to his work with patients in Las Vegas. I have established a rapport with Dr. Devroy that is uncommon, if not unique, in todays society. He and I come from the same part of the country and so always spend a few moments to catch up on “happenings back home”. Additionally is the benefit that before his death that Dr. Devroy also treated my father-in-law …. So I have that uncommon situation of having an old style country/family doctor. When added all together I have the experience of a skilled practitioner who is familiar with me as a person. So my care is focused and spot on!

Being in a wheelchair for almost 30 years, I know I'm able to request a new one every 5 years. It's a permanent thing for me.
Dr. Devroy blatantly ignored my needs, the 30 years assessment of dozens of Neurologists, previous Doctors & Physical Therapists and decided that I should NOT get nor do I deserve a custom wheelchair.
There is no justification for his actions.
The only thing this Doctor & Office should provide is test results from blood work & urine specimen.
FYI, Dr. Devroy:
Standard wheelchairs are typically used by those with temporary injuries or disabilities. People who are recovering from surgery or injuries may use a standard wheelchair for a limited amount of time. Standard wheelchairs are available to the masses and can easily be purchased through online retailers.
For those with permanent disabilities, the customization and fit of a wheelchair are vital to maintaining independence and preventing pain and injury. If a wheelchair is not fitted properly, a wheelchair user can end up with several injuries.
