I was desperate to find a solution for the pain in my hips. My left hip was so bad that I couldn't stand for more than 10 minutes. After researching and consulting with several doctors, I knew I was in the right place when I met Dr. Nevins. From that first meeting, I felt confident he was the right choice to replace my hips.

Dr. Nevins performed a total bilateral knee replacement on me twice. The first time, I had surgery on my right knee in 2010 and the second time on my left knee in 2016. I have overall been very happy with my surgery. I have never had any problems and I often recommend Dr. Nevins to coworkers or aquaintances for any orthopedic issues.

Had my initial appointment today for a bad knee with Dr. Nevins. Had to wait in the room a bit but if he treats others as he treated me then that's just fine. Dr.Nevins was very passionate he explained my situation in details to where I can understand what was going on. His concern for me was very heartfelt and compassionate. I need surgery on both knees as well as my left hip and for a person to hear this for the first time in their life, it is kind of a scary situation. Dr Russell Nevins is the best there is. I’ve known him for over 10 years. He is extremely knowledgeable in his craft but most importantly to him is he truly cares about his patients. He’ll take the time to listen to me and give caring and easy to understand information about my problems. But he’ll go further to tell you things to watch out for and how to treat it and with a very respectable referral to his fellow colleagues.

I needed knee replacement and could not have been more blessed then to have been referred to Dr Nevins! He is truly a compassionate and kind man who knows his stuff! This practice is incredibly professional. It may be the most efficient and organized medical experience I've had, and I've had quite a few in the last eight years. More importantly is the attitude if everyone involved. It's starts at reception and goes all the way to the top. I thought I had hip problems and after getting a glowing recommendation from a friend, scheduled an appointment with Russell Nevins. Before my appointment, another friend mentioned that when he needed a hip replacement, Dr. Nevins was great. Dr. Nevins listened to my symptoms carefully, examined me and x-rays thoroughly, and said he thought the problem was not my hip, but my spine. He ordered MRIs of my hip and my spine which confirmed his diagnosis. In the last month I have met two other people who also have had great experiences with Dr. Nevins.

I am 6 weeks post-op of having my right knee replaced. The procedure is no fun and rather painful but I am recovering very well. Dr. Nevins is very professional and highly skilled. I spent 15 years in Ortho sales, have lots of connections and his name was referred to me by far more than any other. He did his fellowship training with one of the true gurus in the industry. Dr. Nevins is so good at describing in layman’s terms what’s wrong and gives you all the options for treatment, he just doesn’t do what needs to be done without explaining it thoroughly! I had an appt. with Dr. Nevis' PA, Viet Nguyen. I started asking questions. First, how long does it take to give the Hyluronic Acid "gel" shot. But he also used lidocaine to numb it. The next thing I know, he says about 5 more seconds. I thought he meant the lidocaine shot. He meant the entire procedure. It's probably 15 seconds. I never felt the gel stick or any pain from it. So anyone out there considering whether to take one, it does not hurt. I highly recommend them. If you suffer from anxiety as I do, don't worry. The thought of having it done is way worse than the actual procedure. Thank you again to Dr. Nevins' assistant. He made it much easier as well. Has a great "bedside manner."

Today was my first visit with Dr. Nevins. He was thorough, friendly, sympathetic and very knowledgeable. I have a very arthritic knee. My previous Orthopedist only gave me one option,, surgery. Dr. Nevins laid out five options for me, with surgery being the last. Initially did ny hip surgery. Has never been right. I went for 1 yr follow-up, he told me "if you were my brother I'd tell you to deal with it". Still having problems. Tried to make appointment. Kept getting put on hold. Finally went to office. Wouldn't make appointment til I paid $13.00 balance. Paid balance. Told next available appointment was in 4 months. After I complaining I left. The next day got a letter discharging me as a patient saying they nolonger wanted me as a patient. Have heard this same thing from other former patients. Apparently they want everything wonderful. If there's a problem they don't want anything to do with you.

I was hoping to see Dr. Nevins instead I saw a nurse practitioner which I did not want. I guess if its not worth a surgery the doctor doesn't wanna deal with it. Then you have someone in their office tell you that they will help find you a pain specialist, but that wasn't the case either. The nurse practitioner didn't even know I had an MRI done and when she read it her explanation regarding my result seemed that it wasn't worth it. I was pretty much rushed out of their. I hope my next appointment will be the doctor and not no nurse practitioner.

Dr. Nevins is a gift-
It’s been 6 months since my hip replacement surgery. For those who are on the fence, if he says get the surgery, get it. Know you can trust his words.
This post in many months overdue. In the past 6 months, I have enjoyed hikes in the Sierras, went on a 7-day long-range fishing trip, travelled abroad on business for 5-weeks, can sleep without waking in pain, can climb stairs, I can turn right! The pain in my knees and back have diminished, I’m guessing I was compensating for the pain in other areas. I no longer carry Aleve, Advil, aspirin, or CBD’s.
I was mentally and physical prepared for my surgery; I walked and exercised daily, read on others outcomes, prepared my home, and had assistance the first few days.
The only mistake I made was not having my surgery sooner. The metal detector goes off in the airports, and I have to take an antibiotic before seeing the dentist; the two post-surgery inconveniences.

Was referred here by the ER for my wifes broken shoulder. Tried 3 times to get an appointment: Attempt #1: 25+ minutes on hold, was disconnected. Attempt +2: 20+ minutes on hold, finally got a person on the phone. Gave all of the info, was asked to "hold please". another 20+ minutes on hold. Then told that they would call us by close of business. They called 6 hours later and left a message, asking that we call. Attempt #3: Attempted to call back, was again place on hold. After another 20+ minutes my patience had expired, hung up.
I sought, and received, care elsewhere, on the same day.
I attempted to call the next 2 days to ensure that any appointments made were cancelled. When I did finally get somebody on the phone, they had no record of us in their system.
If you use these guys, good luck. The Doctors may be good, but the staff definitely needs help.

I was patient for eight years Office staff became rude because of long wait for insurance company to authorize my medicine.
