My overall experience was excellent. Office manager was extremely knowledgeable, particularly with dental insurance plans. I was given a very thorough breakdown of plan covered costs and was pleasantly surprised that they offered in-network negotiated rates for services not covered by the particular insurance policy. The medical team is very courteous and professional, clearly skilled in modern techniques, and they employ the latest dental tools and medical imaging technology. I highly recommend their services. My customer interface support was Michelle and Ashley, my hygienist was Arielle and my dentist was Dr. Schneider.

I had a very disappointing experience at this office, and I would strongly encourage anyone who is told they suddenly have severe periodontal disease or need extensive treatment to get a second opinion before agreeing to anything.

It had been about 2–3 years since my last cleaning, although before that I had consistently gone every 6 months. I knew I would probably have some plaque buildup, but I was made to feel as though my teeth were in a much more serious condition than I expected. I was told that testing showed “periodontal disease,” that it was severe enough that I would need periodontal treatment elsewhere, and that I would need deep cleanings every 3–4 months going forward. Since my insurance only fully covers two regular cleanings a year, this meant potentially paying a significant amount out of pocket.

I also had a tooth with a filling that had fallen out about two years earlier. I went in already knowing that I wanted the tooth extracted because it had become painful and I did not feel that saving it was worth the cost, especially after previously having a root canal on another tooth that ultimately cracked and had to be extracted anyway. Despite explaining this, I was strongly encouraged to get a root canal.

I ultimately agreed to the deep cleaning because I trusted what I was being told. They numbed my entire mouth and told me I should expect significant soreness and bleeding because my periodontal disease was supposedly that severe. However, the following day I had essentially no soreness, and I had no unusual bleeding when brushing or flossing. The only significant pain I continued to have was from the tooth I had already wanted extracted.

I eventually did have that tooth extracted, as I had originally wanted, rather than going through with the root canal.

About six months later, I returned and was told I would need another deep cleaning, this time costing $99, and that I would apparently never be able to return to regular cleanings again. At that point, I decided to get a second opinion elsewhere.

The difference was honestly shocking. The other dental office performed a complete examination, reviewed my X-rays and checked my gums. Before I even told them about my previous experience, I specifically asked whether there were signs of periodontal disease or bone loss. I was told that they saw no signs of periodontal disease and that my gums looked pretty good and that I simply needed a regular cleaning. They also explained that the numbers recorded around each tooth are used to determine the severity of gum issues. I had previously been told that most of my numbers were 4s and 5s, which made me even more concerned after hearing the second dentist’s assessment.

I’m not a dentist, so I can only speak to my own experience and what I was told by both offices. But the huge difference between the two evaluations made me feel that I should have gotten a second opinion before agreeing to any future payments.

I will not be returning to this office. My biggest advice to anyone reading this is, if you are suddenly told that you have severe periodontal disease, need repeated deep cleanings, or need expensive dental work, get a second opinion before agreeing to treatment. I wish I had done that from the beginning.

I gave these people a chance before taking it to the reviews. We've been coming here since my 9 year old was old enough for a dental cleaning. My 6 year old and wife come here too. Every 6 months. My daughter has had ortho work here and so has my wife. Since I neglect my care more than I should, I called to plan my dental work ahead and save up. I was told I would get a discount of a couple hundred dollars since my whole family comes here. Sounded nice. So I eventually scheduled it. I was told the same over the phone. I took hours off from work to make it in. Planned a nice meal before. Went in and was hit with $0 discount. Reason being, the manager that promised the discount wasn't in and the assistant manager didn't have the authority to give a discount. Ok, I understand. Although to get to that date, in that seat, it took me about a year to save. Not to mention I had my gums poked and every single tooth x rayed and checked already. 2 hours burned. For what? The part that did it for me, was that the "assistant manager" had no empathy or care to my scenario. She was pretty much like take it or leave it. I was upset. This was April 10th. So, I called back to get the manager on the phone. That same assistant would tell me she wasn't in. Finally after 4 days of calling, the manager was in. She told me she would give me a call back to see what could be done. She never called. Never emailed. I also got a notification right after I walked out that my email was changed. By who? Who authorized it? Very unprofessional and very shady of them to give me a car salesman experience and not even call back to try to make it right. I tried to make it right and were 16 calendar days in and nothing. Don't recommend this place if you're looking for honesty. The dentist seem great but the front desk is ran like a shady used car sales joint

I just want to share my honest experience with this dental clinic. My biggest concern has been their billing department, which has caused me many issues and frustrations. Throughout all the confusion and misinformation I was given regarding my balance, monthly payments, and charges, I remained calm and professional. Unfortunately, the clinic never seemed to care about fixing their mistakes or admitting when they were wrong.

The last straw for me was when my husband, my daughter, and I had procedures done around August 28. The cost was $59 for me, $59 for my husband, and $99 for my daughter’s annual dental exam. The reason for the $59 for the annual cleaning for me and my husband that’s bc that’s what we were quoted on. Instead of being billed separately, the total was added to my husband’s balance. At that time, i was informed by aylene that our monthly payment would be $103 and some change.

Later, due to me not seeing a payment to the clinic I called to settle the payment. But I aylene informed me that my payment amount is 127 which is completely different to what she said on August 28 when we adjusted everything but despite that I stayed as understanding as I could and I paid it. I noticed that my payment had been processed twice $127 and some change. I called the clinic to report the duplicate charge and requested a refund as well as reimbursement for the overdraft fee it caused. However, the explanations I received were inconsistent one representative said it was because I had missed a payment, while another said it was due to an automatic payment. None of it made sense, because for months my automated payment. Never came out. I always call and spoke to aylene to make that payment. But the excuse is the additional charge was the missing payment or the automatic payment came out all of the sudden.

For months, I’ve stayed calm and understanding despite all the confusion and misinformation. But after this most recent issue and the lack of accountability, I’ve decided that once I settle my remaining balance, I will be switching to another dental clinic.

To anyone considering this office, I strongly advise If you want to avoid unnecessary stress and misinformation, I recommend looking elsewhere.

Beautiful office, but awful experience.
I brought my kids here thinking it was a reputable place—it was in-network with my insurance, and I paid my portion up front based on a breakdown they provided in a professional-looking folder. What they didn’t tell me was that they wouldn’t bill my insurance right away. Instead, they waited nearly a year, and by then they were no longer in-network. I was shocked to receive a surprise bill long after the visit. My insurance told me the claim was now outside the filing window, and when I called the office, the billing staff was rude and harassing. I ended up having to pay it—because of the fine print I had signed.

But even worse, the treatment my kids received was subpar. Crowns were placed, but later I learned the cavities had continued to spread under the crowns, reaching the nerve. I had to take them to a different dentist to fix what should have been done right the first time.

This place may look nice, but don’t be fooled. I do not recommend them at all.

Had a great 1st visit. Everyone was so friendly, nice, and professional. There was a little bit of a hiccup with one of their machines but they kept checking in on me and kept me updated. They even offered me a blanket while I waited. I had a cleaning, a fill, and an onlay. They offered me different payment plan options which is great. I look forward to my next visit.

I’m extremely happy to have found this office. The staff is wonderful. From the moment you step in you feel the awesome vibe here.
I started by bringing my daughter to their kids side, it’s awesome for the whole family to be able to come to the same practice. The dentist office my daughter used to go to dropped her because she turned 12, and left me hanging not knowing where to go. I called several offices, some never answered or called back 3 days later. When I called Shadow mountain smiles, the call was answered promptly and I was able to get my daughter in asap as she was in pain. She felt comfortable and loved the dentist there. She was so nice and has a great way with the kids. Because of such great experience, I decided to come here myself. I was able to get an appointment right away. I had to get 2 crowns replaced and they were ready in 2 days, I was honestly expecting at least a week. My crowns looks perfect. They exceded my expectations. Dr. Richardson was friendly and has great bedside manner. And again, the staff is wonderful, the office manager made the whole processes with insurance easy. I really didn’t think I would ever say I had a wonderful experience at a dentists office, but here I am. lol

Check in was very smooth. My insurance covers fluoride application once a year, but the receptionist told me it’d be free (I had one in January this year so if I wanted a 2nd application, she told me it’d be $46 out of pocket) if I wrote a review, so, here I am!
Dr, Jordan Richardson did a quick examination on my teeth and he was very friendly. My dental hygienist, Heidi Clay, was excellent. She was very patient, thoughtful and extremely thorough when cleaning my teeth. I scheduled my next appointment with her already!

I had a last-minute appointment at Shadow Mountain Smiles Dentistry—scheduled just yesterday—and I’m so glad I went.

From the moment I arrived, Ayliene and Jasmyn at the front desk made me feel completely welcome. They were professional, kind, and efficient. Cindy, the dental assistant, was outstanding—thorough, gentle, and genuinely caring throughout the visit.

Dr. Richardson was fantastic—knowledgeable, clear, and made me feel completely at ease. The experience was so good, I’m officially a new patient after my experience today.

My family has been with this same dentistry for 10yrs. The staff is wonderful. And front office staff Eileen is just awesome, she returns call backs and is very knowledgeable with insurance coverages and plans. We never felt like we had to pay for costly treatment or else(no treatment) They work with you when it comes to making sure your treatment plan meets your needs.

This place is a total scam. They told us we needed $600 cleanings, crowns, root canals, etc. Basically $3500 worth of work between me and my husband. We went and got a second and third opinion and only needed 2 fillings each (only $500). Shadow mountain smiles tried to scam us into doing unnecessary work so they could make thousands of dollars more. We even requested some records and they sent us a different patients records with all of their sensitive personal info. Extremely unprofessional and a scam.

Only giving one star. The staff was AMAZING. Seriously they were so kind and really fast and thorough taking x-rays. The office is pretty nice too. With that being said they lied to me about having cavities. I came in for a cleaning and x-rays after being pregnant and was so worried I had cavities. Dr. Tran said I had THREE cavities yet didn’t pull up the pictures and pointed them out to me. They set me up on generation smiles which is a program for those who don’t have insurance and made an appointment to get them worked on. I believed them and I was so so disappointment about having to get cavities filled.

Felt weird about it though so I decided to get insurance and went to a dentistry that knows my family. He said I had ZERO cavities and none that were even a concern. This. Is. Sketchy. Felt swindled and mad that my teeth were about to get wrecked for no reason and they were going to take my money for no reason. Extremely disappointed in this office—they have such a nice set up but no integrity. Lousy dentistry.
