I recently had a deep cleaning with Dr. Hoang, and I am beyond impressed! I had heard from friends that deep cleanings can be quite painful, but my experience was the complete opposite. Dr. Hoang has an incredibly gentle touch, and her technique is so precise and efficient that I barely felt a thing. I came here after a horrible experience at the last dental office I visited, and from the moment I walked in I knew I had found my new dentist. The receptionist was so welcoming, and then Ninhi brought me right on back and was absolutely amazing and so quick and gentle while doing my x-rays! Dr. Chon was incredible as well. I just moved to the area and with my new dental insurance I selected Smooth Dentistry. I had a wonderful experience there. The dental assistant was really nice and made me feel really comfortable. The dentist Michael Chon was amazing. He took his time cleaning my teeth. He offered the fluoride treatment which I have never had done before and it was worth the out of pocket expense ($30). Ive been going for 2 years now and I look foward to the visit. Firstly, the doctors themselves do the cleaning, not an assistant. This is huge, this is rare. Second they operate in a very new facility/office, everything is clean and modern. Lastly, I like how they are easy going. I didnt want an X-ray every visit (6 months), but the other dentist office I went before this (shall remain unnamed but they are in a chinese food plaza!) gave me a lot of talk... "we are not responsible if there is a problem, blah blah, the X Ray is virtually nothing radiation wise... etc." Okay, granted those comments may be true, but its my body and Im okay with 1/year but not twice and I understand that really, you simply want to bill Insurance for the extra XRay, just be honest okay! Anyways, Dr Chon is like "no problem, Ill make a note." THE BEST!

It was my first time at Smooth Dentistry and it was a great experience. The office is modern and clean. The front desk girls were very nice and inviting. Paperwork was quick and easy, considering I was a first time patient, and a walk-in at that. Didn’t have to wait much before I was called to the back to get started.

I really don’t enjoy going to the dentist, but Dr. Chon made it an easy, and pain free exam. He took the time to explain what was going on and assured me that it would be gentle and as pain free as possible. He was right! He took care of my issue quickly and professionally. I was overthinking it, and it turned out to be very quick, easy and pain free!

I will most definitely be coming back to Smooth Dentistry for all my cleanings and dental issues from this point on, and will be recommending them to all my friends and family. Well done Smooth Dentistry!

My first appointment experience was great! The staff was very warm and welcoming. Initially, I came in to get a 2nd opinion for some dental work I needed done. I took advantage of their free exam and xray. The previous dental office's prices were too outrageous! Dr. Chon was very friendly and courteous. He was more honest about what I needed done. They would charge more than it cost "because we don't know what the insurance is going to pay". Then I would have a "credit" BUT only if I ask about it. I recently visited Dr. Chon to have a broken wisdom tooth pulled. Let me begin by saying how kind and helpful the staff were when scheduling my appointment. My insurance was a breeze, and getting me in same day was no problem. When I arrived for my appointment, the receptionist, Kyle, was very friendly and welcoming. I barely had time to enjoy one of the refreshments in the lobby before they took me back. Virtually no wait time whatsoever. The dental assistant, Carissa, who handled my x-rays and my initial assessment made the process rather painless and was able to walk me through the plan for my dental visit. After a few quick minutes I was examined and back in the chair. Dr. Chon joined shortly after to begin with my deep cleaning and and fluoride treatment. He was awesome. He advised a corrective plan for my dental needs and answered all of my questions thoroughly. They even offered to put something on Netflix for me while they worked on my mouth. I opted for headphones, which suited them all the same. After my cleaning and treatment, they focused on my tooth. I was most surprised during this because I didn't even think the tooth was coming loose and boom! Dr. Chon was already done. It felt effortless. I was impressed. I have to say, that was easily the best dental visit I have ever had... and they pulled a WISDOM!! Smooth Dentistry is hands-down going to be my families dentist from now on. 10 Stars

After reading the reviews on Yelp, I had high expectations for Smooth Dentistry. I am happy to say that Dr.Chon EXCEEDED my expectations. I never would have expected that a medical office of any type could be so pleasant but I can't say enough good things about them -- here are a few:

- MODERN OFFICE: The office has state-of-the-art equipment with the newest technology to remove any possibility of pain, and treatments are a LOT faster than other dentists I've been too. The office itself is very welcoming, from the refreshments offered in the waiting room, ceiling-mounted TVs over patient chairs, and a hot wash towel and bottled water when you're finished.

- FRIENDLY, ATTENTIVE and COMMUNICATIVE DR. AND STAFF FOCUSED ON CARE AND COMFORT: Dr. Chon, Holli at Front Desk, and the Dental Assistants who worked on me, make you feel right at home and taken care of. They are always checking in and making sure you are kept in the loop throughout your visit. Pre and post visit, they also stay in touch with you to make sure everything runs smoothly.

- PROFESSIONAL AND EFFICIENT : Dr. Chon and Assistants worked really well together throughout my visit (2 sessions of deep cleanings and fillings). The staff always take the time to explain what's going on or up next to make sure you're comfortable and that there are no surprises both with the procedure or any associated costs. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to afford what was needed, based on quotes I got from another local dentist, when speaking with Dr. Chon directly, he guided me on what prices were fair, vs egregious. He was able to provide excellent care, at the fraction of the cost I was quoted by a competitor. When I thanked him for helping me out, he said "It's nothing, these are what the prices are for everyone, and this is what it should be, anything more is unfair to patients".

I have dreaded going to the dentist for a long time, primarily because I was fearful of potential pain or what they would tell me, and quite frankly the potential cost. After my experience at Smooth Dentistry, I have and will continue to recommend my friends to the practice.

After moving from the east side of Las Vegas to the southwest side of town, I did not want to have to drive 45 minutes each way to visit the dental office I had previously been going to for simple routine cleanings. After I did a bit a research and compared with my dental plan, I found Smooth Dentistry and am I glad that I did.

First off, the office is brand new. New equipment, new chairs, new everything. The office is extremely clean (as it is brand new) but the atmosphere was fantastic. Very easy going, very friendly, professional but not stiff, just an overall excellent operation. Dr. Chon was a great help in determining the next steps in my "dental health" and the front office person laid out a financial plan for me that actually worked.

That is the other part of my recommendation of this office. Smooth Dentistry and its staff do what is right for the patient because they care. The financial plan they created for me fit my needs and I felt the prices were completely fair. I have not had that experience before. My prior dental office would charge me high prices and then expect me to finance it with their in-house financing (that carried interest rates significantly above my credit cards). So aside from over-charging, they were making a killing on the interest! Talk about a double dip.

All in all, Dr. Chon is my new dentist and will continue to be as such. I highly recommend taking the time to meet with him and his staff.

Had a great experience here after I chipped a tooth while visiting a buddy in Vegas for the week. I'm normally leery of finding a dentist, much less going to one to have my teeth examined, but the friend I was staying with gave this place a solid recommendation, saying he was a patient of Dr. Chon's at a previous dentistry and that he'd recently opened Smooth.

The entire process was pretty awesome from the start. The receptionist was friendly, understanding and efficient and set up a quick appointment for me. The office itself was extremely clean and neatly decorated (oddly important to me after some of the experiences I've had with less tidy dentists in Socal). And most important, Dr. Chon was great. He put me at ease about a procedure I initially wasn't comfortable with, and he did his work with extremely gentle hands and a warm demeanor. He did an awesome job! He did a filling, and afterward I couldn't even tell that I'd chipped the tooth. I was really happy with the result and was so appreciative of how everything turned out.

Obviously, I hope I won't have to make a trip to the dentist while in Vegas again, but I'd definitely give this place a strong rec.
