The reviews and my pediatrician’s recommendation led me here, and the product itself (Stellest lenses) seems great. Unfortunately, communication has been a real problem. I was told the glasses would take about 2 weeks; when I called to check, I was told it had actually been 3–4 weeks. When I called about pickup, staff told me I didn’t need to bring my son — but it turned out he did need to be there, since they had to check his eye alignment with the lenses. I also asked whether he should wear his Stellest lenses or sunglasses while on vacation and never got a response.

For being on the high side of pricing, I expected much more reliable communication. If you’re considering this practice, know that the clinical product may be solid, but plan for some frustration on the logistics side.

I had a great experience at St. Rose Eye Care. I was in a bit of a bind and needed help quickly, and the entire team took excellent care of me from start to finish. I was from out of town and one of my contacts ripped and found my self trying to find a replacement.

The entire office is incredibly friendly! They made it so easy to figure out what issue I was having and were so helpful from start to finish. Today's appointment at St. Rose Eye Care was fabulous. This business is always in pristine condition making it my preferred choice when I need an annual eye exam. I actually enjoy all the high-tech devices that they use to check my eye health - especially the headset that you wear and push the button when you see a dot flash in your peripheral. It was such a nuisance having other offices blow a puff of air into my eyes or dilate them with that nasty brown, sticky substance. I went to St. Rose Eye Care for the first time last year, and just had my second annual exam with them this week. Both visits went very smoothly. Dr. Martinez is great.

They have this neat handheld gadget that replaces the “jump scare in a box” thing where you stare at a light and a puff of air randomly shoots into your eye.

That’s always been my least favorite part of eye exams at other places, and it’s so much better with this new way. They just hold the gizmo up to your eye, it tingles for a couple seconds, and that’s it. 5/5

Dr. Martinez is an amazing eye doctor. While I told him I had allergies, he was able to identify my symptoms despite my inability to communicate them. I knew what was going on, but couldn't articulate and during the examination, he was able to idenfy and treat the symptoms! Just WOW!!!!

On top of that, my son also needed glasses. They were able to cut his lenses and put them in frames in an hour!!!!! They couldn't do mine because mine are special. With the insurance, my son got a new pair of glasses with his adjusted prescription that was within my meager budget!

I got my glasses and contact lenses with Dr. Martinez last year and I returned this year for another pair. So this review is long overdue!
The office are clean and the receptionist are very accommodating.
I choose the Retina exam where you take pictures of your eyes. I got in a small room for the pictures and the lady who helped me explained everything very well.
Then I was received by Dr. Martinez and he is very patient, thorough and explained every steps of the exams. I got to read on both sides of eyes and each eyes. He even go very far on the exams to make sure my prescription is accurate. Then he explained the Retina exam results, on how my eyes are and what to do to help maintain them and keep them healthy. He even answered a lot of my questions on eye surgery, even though he's not a surgeon, he's very knowledgeable.
And then at the end I got to discuss with the amazing Gabrielle to help choose a frame and lenses. She explained to me the costs covered by insurance, and I do feel she had my best interest at heart. She doesn't try to upsell me anything. The process was efficient and quick,
Overall I very appreciate the doctor and his staff for being very knowledgeable, professional and efficient. I will come back here every year for my eye exam.

Review of Dr. Griffith inside Costco St. Rose
I'm very angry with this office right now, here's what happened. I got an exam, later had the lenses put in at a different location, they were awful too strong. I was offered to have them redone free of charge by this other place, they changed the prescription slightly to include reading computer and well as items upclose. They were better but not perfect. Then I received new frames as a gift, this time I took them to Costco optical, just in case the other office made mistake. Got them back and once again, it was awful. I decided that the prescription needed to be rechecked. The fact is I read better from the prescription from 3 years ago, not this new one. Dr. Robert A. Griffth office said NO they would not check the prescription because I am 3 months out from my yearly exam. I was furious because I have had bad luck with the current prescription in two different places, I feel he needs to check his work free of charge. But I was refused. They told me I needed to come back within 3 months or I have to pay again. This is a perfect example of putting profits over patients. My current prescription is still valid and should be honored. I have recommended 2 people to this office and I told them both what happened and they agreed this is a bad policy, they will now go somewhere else in support of me. So, now you have lost 3 patients due to heartlessness and greed.

I was looking for an Optometry in the area and St. Rose Eye Care is the one! I originally spoke to the great Osvaldo on the phone, and he was so welcoming and knowledgeable. I suffer with keratoconus and he told me Dr. Martinez was my guy as he is the very few in this area that specializes in it.
I set up an appointment and was greeted with a warm welcome when the time came. Dr. Martinez is one cool dude and very personable! He was able to answer all the questions I had and then some. Ultimately, he was able to fit me with my custom sclera lenses and I couldn’t be happier.

As always, we were in a time constraint in getting an eye exam for the whole family. Luckily I called St Rose Eye Care and they were able to accept all of us. I was able to get my eyes examined in a short amount of time and Dr. Martinez was able to get to the root of the issue and suggest lens that would reduce my eye fatigue while working behind a computer. From the front of the house to the back, this practice is the best I have been to yet. I was able to schedule an appointment under 2 minutes and was seen within 5 days. The office is tech savvy and Dr. Martinez went above and beyond patiently answering questions and even doing research in regards to my question on dietary changes that may help with my condition. Dr. Martinez is incredibly thorough, attentive and personable. Selection of frames is extensive, from super high end brands to cost conscious. Service staff is very helpful, and storefront attractive, modern and comfy. So glad to have discovered this place in my Henderson neighborhood. I was recommended Dr. Martinez by a friend and I couldn't be more thankful! I have always worn glasses/ contacts since I was young, had dry eyes, and a very high prescription. Other optometrists have always given me the same advice year after years when I have already told them what my issues were and that the same advice had been given to me with no difference. Additionally, since my prescription was so high, other optometrists have always tried to stray away from my eye issues rather than tackle them head on and I have always felt rushed at my appointments because they wanted me to be in and out. At my first appointment with Dr. Martinez, he was super helpful, listened to all my concerns, answered all my questions rather than brushing me off like other optometrists had in the past, and actually gave me helpful insight and explanations as to why my eyes were the way they were. Lastly, due to my high prescription, he took the time out of his busy schedule to do some research, and was the first optometrist that told me that I qualified for medically necessary contact lenses which would be covered by my insurance! He's an amazing doctor and I will be a long time customer here!

You know when it's the worst time to get a contact lens stuck in your eye? When you're on vacation. Luckily Dr. Martinez was able to see me immediately, was very thorough and professional. I chose to get the Optomap Retinal Exam even if there was an additional fee. But I’m so glad I did because I now have a better picture of what’s going on with my eyes. I’ve been wearing glasses almost all my life but no one has ever explained my condition to me as well as Dr. Martinez did.

Went with my mom and family to get our annual eye check up.

Convenient location in St rose square, same complex as costco. Located next to Dentists of St Rose, by Popeyes. It can be tricky to find since they dont have a sign at the door yet.

The place is new, modern and clean! I’ve never seen an optometry clinic with style. I love how they followed covid guidelines and I felt very safe.

Dr. Martinez and staff were friendly and amazing. Dr. Martinez is the best Eye Doc in town! He took his time. I never felt rushed and he is very informative. You can feel that he really care about his patients. And their machines are state of the art!

The selection of frames were great too! And they chose to support csmall businesses with their quality handmade frame brands. I usually have a hard time finding nice frames. My problem this time was I couldn’t choose a frame because they were all beautiful!
