I’ve given this practice several attemps with multiple services and almost every time it has been a disappointing experience at Strimling Dermatology. Each visit, I am met with condescending, arrogant, dissmissiveness with no improvements.
In 2023, I had to insist on a biopsy that PA Alyssa Caparelli was so sure wasn't anything even though I have had basal cell 5 other times and so I knew it was. And of course, it came back as basal cell.
I also just recently had cosmetic injections, and placed filler by the same PA. The results were poor and done with a heavy hand. The Botox placement pronounced my existing ptosis, her filler technique left a large bruise that lasted 2 weeks (not the normal filler bruise). I even said " that is going to be a bruise", and she insisted “people don’t really bruise on the jawline.” The filler was so poorly placed on one side that I had to pay her to dissolve the filler she placed incorrectly. She suggested I just needed more filler. Then, I immediately got the jitters from the dissolver and she said it was anxiety. But pretty sure it was mixed with epinephrine, which is common I found out later, but she never mentioned it. So around $2,750 later and I look worse than when I started. And now I will pay someone else to correct.
Dr. Handler did my Mohs surgery (a little over $1500) for the above-mentioned basal cell, where he was thoughtless about the cosmetic impacts, and according to another dermatologist, he failed to correctly perform the proper post surgical process so my nose now has a subtle deformity.
I have had two skin checks, one by each provider, and both were done without a dermatoscope. Again, had to pay someone else to do what I already paid them for. They are extremely dismissive, and their cosmetic pricing is also hundreds of dollars higher than other Las Vegas clinics.
They do love liquid nitrogen though, but most spots remain and I can't even get them to treat one simple milia, if it is even a millia (that whas Dr. Handler's diagnosis)
An extra star because I also completed three IPL sessions with Sabrina who was actually really cool and friendly. There was no real improvement to the spots I wanted removed, but some improvement overall to my skin.
I gave it an earnest try, but overall, this practice has been another example of Las Vegas healthcare mediocrity.

Waited much longer than my appointment. CoPay was higher than what was expressed to me by my insurance. I had to ask days after to have my prescriptions sent to the pharmacy. The doctor offered me an optional procedure and I asked 'is this covered by my insurance' and he said 'yes'. I then received a hefty bill for this optional service I didn't even want. Completely misleading. Will not be coming back

PA-C Alyssa Caparelli saw me for an annual skin check. She was very professional, it was a quick visit, my skin didn't have any pre-cancer/cancer concerns, and she wasn't insistent on cosmetic treatments. I'm an older guy and I don't really care about the spots and bumps as long as they aren't pre-cancerous! :)
Very confident in her professional and courteous attitude and I will go back as scheduled next year!

I recently received my second MOHs surgery at Strimling Dr. Handler was again my dermatologist. This time was my third MOHs procedure at Strimling and I am completely satisfied. I still need to get the stitches removed. The process was fairly simple even though it was on my face. Dr. Handler explained the process and got right to it. His PA (or MA) Rosa was very kind and thorough with the bandaging and provided good wound care advice. I am fortunate that I get to go to their Boulder City office for stitch removal as I live there.
I am pleased with the procedure and the people who work there including the front office staff. I recommend Strimling Dermatology.

Disappointed with the lack of results! Don’t waste your money ($900/injection) on the Pdgf (platelet derive growth factor). I didn’t see any improvement after 3 injections. That’s probably why there aren’t any before and after photos. They don’t work!

I am a satisfied patient of this Dermatology office and find Dr. Handler to be absolutely wonderful. I have seen many dermatologists and consider him THE BEST. Caring, cooperative and knowledgeable. He always attends to our complaint and symptoms and quickly promotes a treatment plan or proper medication. The support staff is also caring and professional. It can be a bit difficult to contact but there is usually a call back.

Disappointed. I scheduled a new patient appointment for myself after taking my daughter there a few months ago and liking the provider. My original appointment was scheduled for November 5th. I saw through the online scheduling tool that an appointment for Dr. Handler opened up on Friday, October 10th and booked through the online scheduler. I was then told not to use the online scheduler and my appointment was invalid. She was able to move my appointment up to October 22nd though so I took it and she said she would put me on a waitlist. On October 10th, I got a text that I have an upcoming appointment on October 15th (instead of October 22nd). While I appreciate them trying to move my appointment up, not one person from the office called me to ask me if October 15th worked and I nfortunately, I had two appointments already scheduled that day. I called October 13th to see what happened and change my appointment back to October 22nd at the original time but they were unable to accommodate my request. I don’t understand why you would change a patients appointment without first seeing if that appointment would work for them.

After waiting several months for this appointment, I showed up and there was an extremely long wait. Appointment was for 2:15, then when I told them I had to leave by 3:45, at 3:10 they told me they couldn’t guarantee that and we’d have to reschedule. Very bummed. I wish they could have called me in advance to offer to reschedule instead of wasting my time. I’m sure he’s a great doctor but I won’t be able to risk waiting in the office for that long again.

Recently had minor surgery done by doctor Handler. Very little pain and was sent to lab to be checked. Dr. Followed up also by checking under the microscope. Today his p.a. is removing stitches and she is also friendly and professional. I would recommend anyone who has a skin problem to your clinic.

I have gone to Dr Handler at Strimling Dermatology for about 10 years now. He’s professional and thorough. Nice person, too which is a plus. Office is run efficiently and wait time is minimal if at all. Highly recommend this practice.

I have been seeing Dr. Handler for several years as has my entire family. We have always had the best service and the staff has always been friendly except for this past visit
The young girl at the check in window came across as bothered that I was at the window. When I asked her a question about signing a form I was rudely told "I could just read it!" After some huffing and puffing from her she put another clipboard in front of me without saying anything so I was more confused as to her rudeness. I have never ever had as rude a person as she was. Too bad she is giving this office a bad name. Everyone else was fantastic!

I had to have something removed next to my left eye. The Dr and his staff were extremely professional and knowledgeable in what they were doing and explaining this process to me. I was very nervous and they were understanding in that and made sure they kept me at ease on every step they performed I am very happy with their service and the way they treated me. I would definitely recommend them.

Ladies in the front were super nice. Gentleman that brought us to the room really kind to my daughter..she has anxiety visiting dr. offices. P.A. Alyssa was very attentive and didn't rush us. She listened to all our concerns and we were able to agree to a regimen that made us happy and relieved.

They change the microneedling price after I receive the treatment. I was told $200 per treatment if I bought a package. When I revisited them today, they said the price was $240. The original price is already $300 so they can’t do $200. I remember the doctor discussed the package discount last time but they said they didn't know it at all, and they confirmed with the doctor and said the package would still be $240 per treatment in the future. Be aware of their tricks. They made me believe I remember the wrong price but I do remember the doctor giving me a $200/treatment discount for future packages. And that's why I came back!!! They are dishonest. And I’m still not seeing any difference after 4 treatments. I already spent $800 on acne scar treatment but the scars are still there. I don't want to invest more on this clinic due to their rude customer service.

Doctor Handler was pleasant to visit and "handled" what I needed done with professionalism and care. I was well satisfied with the services.
While I did have an issue with the office staff, after some communication back and forth, Dr. Strimling had an assistant call me. She listened to the circumstances and resolved it satisfactorily.

I went to see them due to some skin moles and abnormalities. I saw Ashley and she was professional and kind, and addresses everything that day. She made no judgemental or shaming statements (like about sunbathing or my body) and also explained what each skin abnormality was and put my mind at ease. She explained which removals would leave a scar and why. I was really impressed and glad I decided to keep my appt. I almost canceled because I've had bad experiences with dermatologists in the past. Even the support staff was pleasant, professional and I felt no judgement at all.
