It is impossible to get ahold of anyone at this office or get a call back after leaving several messages over a long period of time, they only call you will get is to collect a co-pay just to talk to someone on the phone here. After paying almost $1000 for allergy testing, I have been trying to get an allergy perscription refilled for almost 2 years and have had to pay a co-pay twice just to talk to someone about it and they never come through with anything. Big rip off! And now they want $175 a month for this... unbelievable! This place is a mess. If you take your health seriously look elsewhere. Suprised they have not been sued yet after reading several similar reviews. Its not right... I did like Dr. Allen but this operation is absolutely unacceptable.

This clinic doesn’t answer their phones or return calls. We have called them for updates on a prescription for almost a week now with no luck.
My husband is currently seeing Dr. Evan Allen and has waited almost a week now to get prescribed a maintenance inhaler that is covered by his insurance. Which he needs to breathe properly.
Maybe it’s because Dr Allen is now only accepting patients on a membership that costs $175/month. That’s on top of your regular health insurance, because they don’t work with insurance companies anymore apparently.
Not sure how they’re able to stay in business when they don’t answer phones, don’t take insurance, take forever to fill important prescriptions, yet expect you to pay a hefty monthly fee to be a “member.”

Dont waste your time with this practice.
This was my primary care doctor for about 4 or 5 years. This year they decided change to a monthly subscription service where they charge $175 a MONTH for you to retain your status as a patient. How does this make sense when I only need to be seen 2 to 3 times a year and my co pay was $20 dollars. I can't begin to wrap my head around anyone who would be willing to pay 175 a month to have the opportunity to be a patient. That's absolutely insane.
Here's the kicker. I've been trying to contact this office now for 2 weeks and I've left 7 voicemails trying to get a callback so I can get an emergency prescription filled as I wait for my new doctor appointment that is over a month away. The notice I got and the time I had to make these changes was less than 2 weeks. Most doctor offices are booked out at least a month in advance. The girls that work up front sit around all day and refuse to return calls so I'm really not sure what they are actually doing during the day because they definitely aren't answering phones or returning your calls.
Beware that if you choose this practice as your primary care doctor they will ignore you until it's convienet to them to return your call while charing you almost TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS A MONTH just for being a patient.
Overall, they've ALWAYS been difficult to get a hold of, and would never in any world be worth paying 175 a month for. Find any other company. These folks don't care about your call, despite their voicemail message stating the contrary. Absolutely disappointed in this entire practice. Still can't get my medical records from these people either so my new doctor can have my info. I guess I am just expected to have my new doctor establish a whole new medical history for me? That's wild. I'd give them 0 stars if that was possible for the way they handled this whole situation.

Vegas is notorious for subpar medical care, so when you find a good provider - you stick to them like Saran Wrap. I’ve been in the area for almost 5 years, and stuck with TCFP because I had two PA’s that provided excellent care. Unfortunately with the consistently high turnover rate of providers at this clinic, I will be exiting out the revolving door as well. Phone calls go unanswered, voicemails unreturned, paperwork and or referrals are done incorrectly or wind up missing, the primary physician on staff who runs the clinic is dismissive and doesn’t impress upon you as a patient that he cares about your well being, the administrative staff can’t seem to do their jobs or follow through. I used to proudly refer this clinic to others seeking care, but with the max exodus of providers available - care has gone out the window with them.
Edited to add: with the recent switch to direct primary care, it’s actually amusing to me that they would switch to a membership based practice that does not accept insurance. They can’t even keep their PAs or patients with their inability to provide thoughtful and helpful care. I don’t see this model succeeding and it drives me away further.

I've called for over an hour 19 phone calls in a row and no one picks up and this is after they called me to go over blood results. How hard is it to answer the phone. Going to find a new primary care dr. Thought Dr Alen was a great dr but his staff sure let him down.

I would give 0 stars if I could. I have called 17 times over the past 4 days, left 4 voicemails and nobody answers or return calls. I have been out of a meditation that is very important for my health and all I needed was an appointment but nobody will answer the phone. I was a patient there for years and never dealt with worse customer service & total lack of care for my health or my lapse in a medication that I NEED AND HAVE BEEN ON FOR 15 + years. If something happens to me I will obtain an attorney and hold them liable. Never go to this “place of business”, you will regret it instantly

When I first starting going to this practice, the N.P. that was there and the staff were awesome. Starting in 2023 - current, you would be lucky (should go play the lottery) if you can get someone to answer the phone. I have been trying to get someone to answer or call me back (have left 4 messages the past two weeks). One day, I started calling at 9:30am and continued to call for 20 mins. back to back...no answer. I've been calling to get refills...then I received an email this past Friday stating they are changing their model of care and it will cost $125/month but comes with no copay at appt. and on time appt. My question is, if no one is answering the phone how are suppose to schedule these apps. It looks to me they are asking for $125/month to call and leave messages....

Worst doctor’s office in the city. They refuse to answer their phones, the NP is extremely neglectful, and they just genuinely could not care less about their patients. I’ve been a patient here since 2018 and just can not tolerate this office anymore. I am in the process of reporting them to the state medical board and suggest everyone else that has experienced their lack of care does the same.
The doctors here will put you on a narcotic substance and will leave you completely out of luck when in need of a refill. It literally took 8 days of back and forth between my pharmacy and the NP to get my prescription right because the NP could not write the script properly, and reception would literally avoid me for days at a time.
This place is an absolute joke and deserves to be shut down. Absolutely disgusted with their lack of concern for patients as medical professionals.

You can almost never get in contact with someone its very hard.
However I had to update my previous comment because if your okay with going to the office they are very quick to get u seen. The young lady that has helped me is very calm and Patient and always listens to me I just don't remember her name so I change my mind I will continue to come here.

Got a machine to monitor my husband’s sleep April 29th which I’ve waited a month for, took the machine back the next day on the 30th. I’ve called the office numerous times to find out the results, no one answers, I left messages, no one returns my calls. I then emailed them someone emailed back saying the results aren’t ready yet, that was the 3rd week. Called again 5 weeks later no response, emailed again this time no one contacted yet and now it’s been 7 weeks. This office is beyond incompetent. Time to look for another Doctor although we liked Dr Malik and she is out on maternity leave.

I’ve lived in the valley for 20 years and have been with Dr. Allen the entire time. He and his practice were amazing until a couple of years ago. The current team is terrible. They never answer, forget about scheduled appointments, and their PAs don’t listen to concerns. I’ve only stayed because or Dr. Allen. So sad to see how poorly this practice operates.

Update : I had to stay with this Dr due to my insurance requirments and Care has continued to get worse and worse over the years. Doctors leave so fast and I do not blame them. Their office staff used to be so wonderful and attentive, now they "know nothing, see nothing, can't do anything". Every time they are supposed to send a referral or Authorization it seems like no one has any idea where it is or it hasn't been done. The line is always busy and it is somehow harder than ever to get an actual appointment. It seems like Dr Allen is no longer in this line of business for patient care and only for money which is why he only focuses on his weight loss division. Also you pretty much will just be diagnosing yourself and telling them what you need because all they ever do is listen say ok and then prescribe things or request bare minimum blood work. So sad.
Previous years office visits have always gone well, but they don't take most good insurances these days so a switch had to be made. The current office staff is unknowledgeable, unprofessional, and rude. I have experienced this both inner office and over the phone. They do not release any information over the phone which is usually normal for Hippa, however no one shoukd need a visit to find out referral status just because they want to charge you for the office visit and they assume everyone can just take time off of work. They also don't understand English as it seems and cannot read simple forms. It takes them months if not over a year to get things done on average so if you need something quickly I would inquire else where. I record all of my phone calls on my phone including ones with this office so if you don't agree please feel free to contact me and I will gladly share these calls with you anytime. Reading a form or other providers correspondence is not that difficult.

What "care" does this place actually give? No one answers the phone besides their automated answering service, and even once you wait that out and finally get connected to someone, the people you CAN talk to, nice as they are, can't do any scheduling or anything to actually help except "let the front desk staff know". Sure, you can schedule online, but they won't actually see you until they confirm on their end- which, they NEVER do. They never send an email confirming or denying your appointment, so your health is unfortunately stuck in a permanent limbo. Some of the doctors are nice, but others don't actually listen to you because you don't fit the typical demographic for the thing you're hoping to get treatment for. I've been coming here since 2014, and have had nothing but lackluster experiences. Not to mention, you never see the same doctor twice- your case is shuffled around like a deck of cards. It's incredibly frustrating, through and through- from the scheduling process, to the attitude of the front desk staff (except one individual), to seeing the doctors themselves (I've even had one tell me that women weren't supposed to have periods, they were supposed to have babies from ages 14 to 30 and die- WHAT?). Not to mention, they're not even open on Saturdays like they claim to be- they have nothing about that online, you're able to schedule with their website for Saturday, Google says they're open, as does their website- until you arrive hoping you have an appointment to a single piece of printer paper on the door saying "closed Saturdays until further notice".
I'm heavily disappointed that my health is simply an inconvenience to them. It is a MEDICAL office, but only when they decide to be. If you need a doctor, go somewhere else- especially if you're a woman or have a kid with autoimmune issues you're trying to figure out.

I went in because I had something tear or rupture in my right leg. I was hoping to have some sort of diagnosis because 4 days after it happened my leg had a huge bruise down the back of my leg indicating something ruptured. My leg was sort of checked and then told I was being sent for x-rays. After a couple of days the blood vessels started to lighten so I decided I didn’t need x-rays. My leg is still sore but I know nothing is broken but didn’t really feel like I got any sort of diagnosis and paid $100 copay for really nothing. I think an MRI referral might have been a better choice but that didn’t happen. Overall, not sure it was worth a doctor visit.

I was recently terminated as a patient due to expressing my frustration with the incompetence and inability to facilitate what should have been a simple “digging down to the root of the issue.”
I had an issue with filling a prescription. The insurance company stated that the issue was with the practice, when I stopped in to clear the issue up, the front desk stated that it was with the pharmacy. Drove to the pharmacy and spoke with the Pharmacist who provided me with a print out reflecting that the issue was again with the Practice. So over the course of several hours and multiple phone calls, nothing was resolved. The understanding I was able to obtain was the practice didn’t respond properly to the pharmacy and/or the insurance company. Sadly the young lady at the front desk wasn’t able to address any questions or concerns and would not seek someone more knowledgeable.
Additional frustrations:
The phone number listed on Apple Maps is apparently a “back office” cell phone. Unaware of this, calls are not answered and you MAY get a call back the next day; and generally there is an indignant overtone similar to dialing a wrong number. I was questioned, “how did you get this number?”
The website scheduling is comical. The site doesn’t recognize when the office is closed and as such, you can schedule an appointment on holidays. Upon scheduling an appointment you receive an email advising you that you will be contacted to confirm - this doesn’t help if you schedule the appointment for Monday morning on Friday.
The 1 star is for the web portal. It is useful.
Oh as for the PAs, they try.

I scheduled an allergy test for my partner. The full test could not be done since the person who performs the test was not there, and we were never informed that she would not be there. The PA spent less than 5 minutes in the room with him. Surface level tests were ordered, but allergy tests weren't ordered. Another shot was given, and again, the lady who performs the allergy test and again was not notified prior. He never received a call informing him of this. As a physician himself, he was very disappointed at the whole experience and the low level of care he received.

8/18/22 EDIT: While I'm sure Dr. Malik is still fantastic, I have no way of knowing. I have been trying for MONTHS to get an appointment to no avail. I have called, emailed, texted, and even tried their "Book Online" feature and have yet to be able to get an appointment. Nobody ever answers the phone, nobody ever calls back, no emails are returned, and the "Book Online" feature gets you nowhere. I guess it's time to find a new doctor.
Dr. Malik is honestly fantastic. Every time I go to see her it's like we are just two friends sitting and chatting about my health. It never feels like that awkward doctor experience. I feel like I can tell her anything without judgement, which obviously is something you want in a doctor. She takes the time to listen to what I have to say and doesn't rush me through the appointment like so many other doctors do. She is truly awesome and I hope to have her has my doctor forever.

New to the area and chose this DR as my primary care. Was told I had to go into the office on 5/6 to get 2 prescriptions refilled. Was told that they would call the pharmacy that same day. They did not. I called them the next week and was told that they had called the wrong pharmacy and that they would contact the right one that day. Called last week, Fri the 20th, and was told that they would get the orders placed. They call me back and said that the orders had been placed. The pharmacy sent me an email on Mon the 23rd to say they had left 3 messages with the DR and were putting my prescription on hold due to no response (only one had been ordered). Called the DR's office several times Mon, Tues, Wed...they have still not returned my calls nor have they called the pharmacy. I clearly need to find a new DR however I will not be able to be seen by anyone until after my meds run out. DO NOT USE THIS DR. Your health will suffer if you do

I had to change insurance companies and unfortunately my previous Primary didn't accept my new insurance. So, I had to find a new primary. Which made me very nervous as I had FINALLY found a good Doctor who actually listened to me about my issues and not just blame the obvious issue. The insurance provider gave me their information. The front staff were so friendly. The assistant who takes you back was kinda hostile and made me feel very rushed. Not sure if that was just how she is or if she was having a bad day. Hope her day got better. They were so fast with taking me back and and seeing me. Aside from the lady who took me back, it was a nice experience. Thank you

Office staff seem professional, but the "doctors' who see me (its a random PA) seem detached and not very hands on and seems to just want to move on to the next patient. They don't even pretend to care. Twice they said would call in refills and twice dropped the ball and didn't.
Update: Felt better about my next visit. Saw Adrienne Yoo, PA-C and felt encouraged about effort made to come up with a new treatment plan. Would have been nice to see the only doctor there (Dr. Evan Allen) once and awhile, but guess he's busy making commercials for his weight loss treatments. :)

Do not use this doctor. Period.
The office staff is extremely brash and rude, very unsympathetic to the fact that they have patients - people who are sick and need help.
The doctor (#1) was not thorough and made a misdiagnosis.
My wife went in because she was feeling fatigued and weak. Having received bloodwork results, Dr. Courtney Jee diagnosed that my wife's fatigue was a result of EBV. My wife, thinking that she was (still) infectious, decided to have everyone in the family tested.
When I arrived for my appointment, I was rushed by the nurse to finish paperwork - literally given a time limit and told I would lose my appt if I didn't finish (meanwhile trying to attend to my wife not feeling well, her mother, our 5 y/o). When I went in to get the preliminary checkup, I explained to my attending doctor (#2) why and she pulled up my wife's data only to discover that the information that doctor #1 had provided was not correct, that she was not acute, already had antibodies and probably no longer had it.
I had my wife come back in so she could hear that the diagnosis was incorrect in order to have further testing done. While there, she was continuing to feel weaker and weaker and got upset at the staff. Her mother asked the staff to please help her daughter, who was getting increasingly agitated between the misdiagnosis and the coldness of the staff. At that point, my mother-in-law, who had gone into her preliminary and was to have blood drawn for the test was ushered out by the office manager, Robin Miller, who said they refused to service her. She turned the lights off and my mother-in-law started videotaping with her phone. When my mother-in-law asked for her name, the office manager would not give to her.
So the short of what happened today - the practice refused to follow-up to help a whole family despite the fact that the service was a result of their misdiagnosis in the first place.
Incidentally, Dr. Jee also told my wife to pick up a prescription, which never got sent to the pharmacy.
When a patient enters a doctor's office, they are looking for help, for care, for a human response to something that is ailing them. Be warm, be inviting, listen, be compassionate that they are in pain, in distress, anxious, and probably all 3. If you're looking for that, this place will not be the place to go to.

First-time patient. Very smooth process getting established with the practice. The doctor, physician’s assistants, and staff are very friendly and welcoming. They even took me in before my actual appointment time! Waiting room is spread out so that you may social distance, etc.

I went in for a follow-up to a pneumonia diagnosis made the day before at an urgent care center (it was Sunday). The staff scanned the records from the urgent care, checked my chest, blood oxygen, and blood pressure. We talked about exercise, blood pressure, future follow-ups. I took with me an order for a chest x-ray to be taken in about a month to assure that the pneumonia is cleared up. My progress was great so no worries, but of course I'll return if it gets worse. Both the PA and the assistant were friendly and helpful and took the time to answer questions. I appreciated the level of care.

My husband went to establish care, waited 45 minutes to even be seen, and then was then told he owed an insane fee “to go toward his deductible.” When explaining that we typically only have to pay a copay, they said “nope this is your fee,” though only later said they couldn’t actually check our insurance due to offices already being closed so if it was wrong “we’d get a credit.” We asked them to bill the insurance and send a bill afterward, and they acted like this was something they’d never heard before. They then contacted the pharmacy to block them from filling the prescription they wrote him. All in all an awful experience.

The staff is very courteous and professional. The Doctors are awesome! They take their time to listen to you, and the referrals and tests are down right away. I cancelled my new HMO insurance which I received through my new job, just because the insurance didnt have my doctor listed in their HMO list of doctors. I didnt want to switch doctors so I just cancelled the insurance, and stayed with this same group of doctors. I have recommended Total care Family practice to all my friends and family. My family now has the same doctor as I do. Love, love, love this group.

I would give them 5 stars but I had an annoying start to my visit. I had a 7:30 appointment. They turned me away and told me to come back at 8:30 so they can verify my insurance. That was very inconvenient. They could have billed me if my insurance didn't go through.

They are frauds. Charge and make you do tests that they "cant find" the results on. Even when a reputable doctor asks for your records.. they have no record of it. I went through days of torture carrying equipment around for "monitoring " , was liable for the equipment.. and they LOST the results. Hundreds wasted. I'm calling my insurance to have them investigate this. Just a fraudulent dr. The dr isn't even involved.. just let's nurses that have the ability to prescribe stuff and demand tests take care of everything that they refuse to keep track of.

When I first started going to this office for my health care needs, several years ago, I had Dr. Henry Rucker as my regular physician. He gave me the best care I had experienced in Nevada, and I loved coming to this office. Since Dr. Rucker has left, over a year ago, I have had Dr. Ho, as my regular physician. It took some adjusting, mostly on my part; However, Dr.Ho has helped me sort things out and she has been very helpful and kind to me through all of my health concerns. This truly is a wonderful place with wonderful staff and doctors. Thank you Total Care Family Practice!

They tried to draw my blood and couldn’t get it. The worst part, there was smeared blood on top of the armrest where they draw your blood. I asked her to clean it off and she said it wasn’t blood. She still didn’t clean it off!! Wether it be blood (it was) or not why wasn’t it clean? Yuck!

I needed clearance for my shoulder surgery and I only had 3 days before my surgery. They were open on Saturday and my surgery was scheduled on Tuesday. Got my chest X-ray after the appointment and labs on Sunday morning. Monday early afternoon I got a call from the office letting me know everything was taken care of. My surgery was scheduled right away and since it was Friday I couldn’t get in to see my primary care Doctor in time. The office is open on Saturdays which is very convenient! Emily Ho was the PA and was nice. They knew what needed to be done to get ready in such a small time frame and followed up. I was very happy with the whole process.

$150 New Patient Out of Pocket. Should be $20.
I've worked for many medical offices and I can tell you this one is poorly run. ZocDoc had them at 4.5 stars, but Yelp has them at 1.5 stars review. Which one do you believe? Well let me be the judge.
A lady walks in the exam room and doesnt greet or introduce herself. Asks me why I'm here. (her name turns out to be Emily). Doesn't crack a smile or show any concern the whole 10 minutes she spends with me.
I tell her 3 of my issues. The first one, she totally ignores and never addresses. Then, asked for bloodwork - never got a script. The last issue I'm really concerned about. She gave me a referral, got up and left without any good luck or goodbye nothing. lol.
Where was the Doctor? I paid $150 for 10 minutes with an uncompassionate scripted robot. I will return there to see the doctor just to finish this visit. After that, screw this place.

At first everyone seemed great. When I’m there super professional and nice but they ordered me a prescription and I’ve been calling not only them but also my insurance to figure out what’s going on. I’ve called once and asked if the form was filled out and sent to my insurance and they said my insurance won’t cover it and I need something else. So then I go there and at my appointment the PA tells me the form just hasn’t been filled out yet. Now an additional week and a half I call my insurance, form still not filled out. So I call the office again and they said it’s not covered. And when I tell them I just spoke to my insurance they still proceed to tell me it’s not covered, even when I assured them I just spoke with my insurance regarding that matter. I think it is extremely unprofessional to expect a patient to have to try to track down their prescription...

I had blood drawn on a Tuesday called in Friday to get the results. Still not ready Ok. I call back Monday still nothing. So I am thinking we’ll probably Tuesday NOPE. Well come Wednesday the receptionist tell me that the company received the blood test results too late and now they are too old to test. So instead of apologizing for the inconvenience of having to stab me and my son again to test our blood because they didn’t get things right the first time. The lady Sherry or Shelly or whatever her name is had the nerve to scream into the phone saying it’s not there fault. I’m like wait a second you are screaming at me stop screaming at me I am not yelling at you. She says yeah but u are accusing me for this problem. Bottom line if you want compassion when you are ill don’t go to this doctors office and deal with these people.

What a complete joke. Don't waste your time. I booked an appointment online, and specified a vaccine needed . Arrived to the appointment to a completely empty office and was told by the rude receptionist that the online appointment is not real time and my appointment had been filled. Keep in mind the appointment was made days before. I asked why i received a confirmation and why no one called me. her response "guess we dropped the ball" I was then asked to return an hour later for a different appointment and was Then told they don't do vaccinations which was the entire reason for my visit. Rude and unprofessional

I picked up my phone and pulled the dr offfice out of a list of many and I do mean many.I read many reviews on the Dr and staff and liked what I read.I needed to see some one quickly due to my condition and really thought that was gonna be hopeless.I did try other providers and was politely brushed off.So I said I am gonna call these folks,Should have went with my first instinct.lol.I filled out the online form (short and easy)Put in what time slot I wanted and Bingo the Appointment was confirmed in minutes.the best part is when I arrivedi was therei I had to fill out a small amount of paperwork (To be expected of course)Took Maybe 10 min.By the time I handed the receptionist my clipboard I was called in to see the doctor.once with the doctor we had a nice chat about my medical history and then right to the point as to why I was there.I was giving a brief exam and was prescribed meds that were needed.I at this point see no reason whatsoever to go to another provide...Kiddos to TOTAL FAMILY PRACTICE and all there wonderful staff.Thank You David H.

Wackos here! Went for severe sinus infection and sinusitis headache and a low class wannabe nurse saw me and was rude! I wanted to see the doctor! She thought I wanted pain pills and did not! I DON'T EVEN TAKE IBUPROFEN! YOU KIDDING ME! I WANTED TO SEE THE DOCTOR, and I was banned. How you get banned for wanting to see the doctor?? I know...... she made up a lie about me and I wanna know what she said! It's wrong! karma comes back! Wish she would come in my ER unit! I'll tell her no service, see how she likes it in need of help🤨
Was the most stupid doctor visit I've ever had in life. I'm a nice person, and not a pill accepter machine so they can drug me..so I don't fit in here.
*your seeing a trainee who should be under the supervision of a doctor. You think your going to see Dr. Evan Allen as it's his practice, nop! Waste of HUGE money from tests and such not needed because these people are not fully educated to be on there own yet! I've been in the real medical field 13 years! And would love to know who's giving these people access to be in such a position without the education! Places like this need further investigation. I recommend going elsewhere to see a real doctor(unless you actually see the doctor here)and accurately treated! Don't see a trainee without a real doctor under there supervision watching!
