My experience with Dr. Mehdi’s office was terrible. My Primary Care doctor put in a referral for me to see Dr. Mehdi for blood infusions because I was anemic. The person who handles new patients told me the medic said I needed to have another blood test before they would see me. I made a special appointment at Centerwell to have the test last week. My doctor’s assistant called back the next day to say that I was still anemic and my doctor wanted me to go see Dr. Mehdi. I called and spoke to the same girl and told her I had the test done the day before and I was still anemic. She rudely said she would let the doctor know and call me back. I have waited 5 days to hear back from them. I called Centerwell today and told them I have not heard back from Dr. Mehdi’s office. My doctor’s assistant said she called his office and was told that someone called me and left a message that I do not need blood infusions. I never received any calls, voicemails or texts from Dr. Mehdi’s office, so they lied to my doctor’s office. Now they want me to take an iron pill. I have wasted 3 weeks going back and forth with Dr. Mehdi’s office assistant and Centerwell for nothing. His assistant was very rude every time I spoke with her. If your Medicare/Insurance tries to send you to Dr. Mehdi’s office for a referral, I hope you do not have the same experience I did.

Dr Mehdi is a good doctor and so kind. His office staff and all his medical staff are great. I’m glad I was referred to him two years ago when all this started for me. There is no compassion. From the Dr. nor the staff. Always in a rush. Always too busy. Dr. Mehdi’s delivery of the news that my mother needed to go on hospice was inhumane, he was almost upset at us taking time (minutes) to process the news and stormed out of the office as if we wasted his time. The staff person there to help did not help at all. I had to communicate/translate to my mother that there was nothing else the Dr. could do. I was the one to give the news to my mother of the severity and finality of her cancer. She passed a month later. Dr. Mehdi’s office did not help with absolutely anything, only made everything more difficult. It caused trauma; I can’t even drive by his facility.

Dr Mehdi is great! I have only met with him once? At that meeting he gave me wonderful news - I was cancer free! At that meeting I asked Dr Mehdi if he and his staff could assist me with my dilemma of only being able to access my blood through my port? The doctor said yes!
When I tried to follow up on his agreement, his staff informed me that it was against the law for their office to perform blood tests for any other doctors blood test request.
I checked the law & found out that it was NOT against the law.
I told the office staff of my inquiry & then they said ok, it’s not against the law but against their policy.
I have made several additional requests to have Dr Mehdi honor his original agreement.
I have left multiple messages for Kristine Peralta to discuss with Dr Mehdi on my behalf.
I have spent 14 hours on the phone trying to find a clinic that will draw blood from my port and perform a blood test for any doctor that would send them an order. NO SUCCESS!

He's killing my brother via negligence. My brother has aggressive brain tumors that have come back and is receiving no help from Dr. Mehdi. Horrifingly, Mehdi said he couldn't even read an MRI. We were told he sent a referral that was accepted by UC Davis but now his office is telling us no such referral exists.

Dr. Mehdi is up front and to the point. His assistant was excellent and patient with us. The lady at checkout was helpful and pleasant. My one complaint upon leaving, one employee at the front desk was yelling at another co-worker about an appointment that was changed. Everyone could hear her having a fit and not once did she stop to think of the people in there who’s going through cancer. It makes a person double think of the facility they’ve chosen to have treatment. So I’m not sure what I want to rate this place. Not yet at least.

I was diagnosed with stage 4 Metastatic Melenoma in May 2025 with large masses on my liver, masses in the brain, lungs and lennfnoids. My blood showed 8 of the thngs they test for were not in normal range.Doing really bad. My body was in survival mode as it was being attacked . Dr. Mehdi recognized all the issues and set up a treatment plan using immunotherapy and cyber knife treatment. In two months my blood work was all in normal ranges and I looked and felt 100 percent. Now ten months after diagnosed I still feel as if I don't have cancer and even gained 10 pounds.

I was referred to Dr. Mehdi by my surgeon to start a relationship even though I am currently cancer free.
I had a consult with Kristine Peralta APRN prior to meeting Dr. Mehdi. I found both to be very knowledgeable and very personable. The front office person was very friendly and helpful.
The team answered all my questions as well as my wife’s. We never felt rushed and if I need an oncology team in the future, I would not hesitate to utilize Dr. Mehdi’s Hope Cancer Care of Nevada.
The facility was clean, the team professional, I observed a group of caring professionals working with numerous patients. I would have no concerns with this facility. My surgeon spoke highly of Dr. Mehdi, I asked him if he needed an oncologist who would he go to and Dr. Mehdi was his answer.

Staff was more concerned with asking about Scotland 10 years ago than letting me know about the financial assistance programs that I need. Google your prescriptions, I'm not sure why I was prescribed an anti anxiety med for nausea when pepto is readily available. They also had me sign the medication waiver without me reading it first, and the medication is so awful the night sweats are unbearable. They argued about if the night sweats were their fault and I assured them that yes, when the doctor told me they shut down my ovaries for chemo, I'm pretty sure the night sweats and hot flashes were their fault. Their option was to suggest a harsh anti depressant that I can't take and frankly shouldn't be taking things off label to begin with. Keep this inind, it gets better. They said they'd have to have someone else monitor it because it is an anti depression med. That's the funny part, they had no problems prescribing that prochlorperaz that's literally an anti schizophrenia anti anxiety drug they're pushing as an anti nausea med. I refuse such harsh off label medicines and all anti depression and anti anxiety drugs, especially for other things. Seriously, I can't even take benadryl without having adverse reactions, people really need to pay attention to their patients instead of the pharmaceutical reps.

We had a very bad experience with Dr. Mehdi. My mom who is 84 years old got diagnosed with liver cancer, we went to see him to start her treatment, he was not respectful or professional nor considerate. He said a have bad news for you as soon as we got to the room, he shocked me, my mom and sibling. My mom started to cry. he referred us to hospice, he said we can try chemotherapy, but you should really contact hospice.
We left his clinic with no hope at all, after we seen hospice.
We went for a second and third opinion, my mom been doing chemo for 4 months so far, her cancer went down by 75%, she is doing great.
I am glad we didn't listen to you, and we seen other professional doctors that knew what they are doing.
I definitely don't recommend Dr.Mehdi to any patient.

Dr Medhi is overbooked..a 3 minute interaction is not enough time to dialogue. Or ask questions. I'm billed for a DOCTOR not a substitute. Even if they have some training. Seems as if more and more MDs are way overbooked. Shouldn't have to wait months for a cancer dx.

My name is Lucia, age 62; and was recently diagnosed with DCIS and referred by my doctor to “Hope Cancer Care of Nevada” for treatment. Any person with Cancer knows how scary such process is and meeting Dr Raja Mehdi and his staff has been a wonderful and stress free process.
He is very compassionate, caring and knowledgeable. I feel comfortable asking as many questions as needed to ease my mind with Dr. Mehdi listening and not rushing. I highly recommend this office/Doctor if ever needed. Also a big shout out to nurse Kimber Knapp that i see in between appointments with Dr. Mehdi.
She is wonderful as well. Thank you all for taking such good care of me.

I really trust the care I’m getting. Dr Mehdi is a very positive kind and compassionate Doctor they have a plan for me and I’m feeling positive for my future. Yesterday I had a visit with Courtney Billings ARPN. Man I’m lucky she also shares the same positive direct care plan for me. She is a very special very smart healthcare provider. Wow! The receptionist (sounds like a male) is incredibly rude & has very poor communication skills on the phone. Super condescending. It’s unfortunate for the doctor he’s representing because you’d be a fool to navigate cancer with someone that gives so much attitude so unnecessarily. I called Tuesday, July 23rd at 11:45. So whoever was answering the phones at that time, needs to be reminded of how to speak to speak to patients. If I was curt on the phone it’s because time is a factor. Anyone dealing with cancer would understand.

Today was my first appointment with Dr Mehdi. We went over my cancer diagnosis and treatment options. Dr Mehdi introduced himself and was very cordial and friendly. I didn’t feel rushed and he took the time to answer all of my questions as well as my husbands. He spoke confidently and clearly and had a lot of knowledge regarding my particular diagnosis. He definitely put me at ease and helped alleviate my anxiety. I highly recommend him as an oncologist.
