Pretty disappointed....my husband came here yesterday for an extraction. While he said the dentist was great, the staff severely dropped the ball when it came to sending his prescriptions for antibiotics and painkillers.

Went to our pharmacy to pick up and was told nothing was sent. When we called the dentist, they said it was sent, when clearly it hadn't been. They then told us to call the pharmacy and ask them if it had been sent to another location...why would that be our responsibility to see if they sent it to the WRONG location?? We were then told that they'd send the prescription again but it probably wouldn't be ready till the NEXT DAY.

My husband was in EXCRUCIATING pain through the night and barely slept at all. This is completely unacceptable for a dental office that specializes in URGENT CARE needs. You're dealing with people that are in serious pain and have infections that need immediate attention/medicine. There's really no excuse for this.

I would advise for you guys to either send an old school paper prescription with the patients so they can go get their prescriptions themselves, or at the very least, follow up that evening to make sure the patient received their medication and isn't in horrific pain like my husband was left in. Pretty upsetting.

The only reason why I left 1 star was because my husband liked the dentist that did his extraction. Other than that, you really deserve 0 stars for how horribly this situation was handled.

First of all, these reviews are so outdated and I can see why. Unfortunately couldn’t post with zero stars because that’s the true rating.
When a patient comes in to get help for their tooth pain, the expectation is that the entire team, most importantly the dentist that is checking out the patient would do their best to ensure that the patient is thoroughly examined before giving options just to get a payday! You can’t tell the severity of the tooth from an x-ray that was $160 with no examination. The dentist didn’t even look inside the mouth or touch the teeth!!! Then to top it off you say that it’s abscessed and don’t provide a prescription to clear up the infection that is clearly causing the pain! $7K to do root canal and crown is outrageous and pure robbery!!! Do not go to this place and seek treatment elsewhere! Embarrassing to say the least.

On my first day in Las Vegas from out of town I chipped my front tooth; it was noticeable and bothersome enough I wanted to fix it asap before going home. Even as a new patient, they were able to see me first thing the next morning. I got the paperwork to fill out online beforehand, so the entire appointment took about 30 mins. Staff was so friendly and the Dr matched the tooth perfectly. Great experience!

Found my dentis so I thought Update front staff issues with appointments misinformation . The staff is extremely unprofessional and the manager allowed staff to behave like children . Mishandled insurance info major time delays for NO REASON. NO PATIENTS INFO IS SAFE THE WILL SREAM AN YELL out loud so the entire office can hear your dental needs. I had an excellent experience for my first time visit with Dr Adams. He is a really good dentist and the nurse who assist me with my crown she’s good too they’re all friendly. I like all the new equipment they are all hi tech. From portable X-ray machine to scanner love it. Although their scanner a lil bit kinda slow coz of the connection of their lap top.The only one bad thing is they let their patients waited for so long 30-40 minutes waiting after checked in other than that I love the place and I will recommend it to my friends. I badly needed a root canal in one of my molars and the earliest endodontist appointment I could find was over a month away. Urgent Dental was able to get me in the same day I called. The procedure was a tough one (three hours!) due to some other issues with my teeth, but the staff and doctor were kind and attentive through the process. The office staff was on top of my insurance from the minute I called as well. As someone who doesn't like dentist visits at all, I can give Urgent Dental a strong recommendation.

I've stuck with this place while all my family and friends left them for other dentists over the years. This place has gotten just horrible especially since covid. I tried to remain patient, but today was my breaking point. In 2022 I called for a cleaning. I hadn't been in since before covid, I was told they were still backed up which seemed a bit odd. I called in June 22 and could not get an appointment until late January 23! I was not having any issues, so I said ok and waited for my appointment. I confirmed the exam and cleaning a few days before my appointment, showed up to that appointment and was told I was not scheduled for a cleaning and I would have to reschedule! I had already left work early for the appointment. I was really upset and I was told if I came back in 3 hours they would fit me in, I ended up waiting in my car. Forgot to mention, nobody ever informed me they changed office locations so I showed up to what I thought was the office, only to find a note on the door saying we moved. I feel like they could've mentioned that when confirming the appointment. AT that appointment I scheduled an appointment for another cleaning July 17. Today they call me to tell me that the hygienist I was scheduled with quit last month so they had to cancel my appointment because they're having trouble finding another person to hire. I told them I didn't schedule with a particular person I scheduled with the office and this is ridiculous. It got even more ridiculous when they said they couldn't reschedule me until they either thin out the schedule or hire another person. When I asked when I could probably reschedule, I was told "more than likely September." That is completely unacceptable and they need to get their act together! I can call any dentist in town and probably get in within a week. That place is a zoo ran by a bunch of monkeys, it's really sad.

Joanna Schmidt literally saved my life. After another dental clinic (hi tech dental) botched an extraction for a dental implant. They left me with a severe infection worse than dry socket, didn’t tell me until AFTER they did the surgery, that they didn’t prescribe pain meds. My gum was exposed and they refused to give me a different antibiotic and said they couldn’t see me for almost a week. After two ER visits, IV antibiotics and multiple dentists refusing to help me (because of liability), dr Schmidt took a chance! She cleaned it, tried her best to close the gap and gave me the best care possible. It healed beautifully and with NO other complications!

I can NOT say enough about her expertise and care. I will never go to another dentist for care. They do dental implants in their office! Highly recommend!

I am here currently on vacation and I had the worst toothache kick in a day after we arrived. I made a appointment request in the middle of the night and was contacted the next morning in regards to a opening that day.

Everyone was super nice and did everything they could to make me feel welcomed and comfortable. After getting my Xrays completed I was told I needed a root canal. So that's what was done. Best experience at a dentist office I have ever had! (considering the pain I was in)

I'm from Washington State and this was my first time ever having a root canal. Root canals are not affordable in WA State. So every other time I needed one I had no choice but to have my tooth extracted instead. They cost can cost a couple thousand dollars (with dental insurance) and more without in WA.

I have been a loyal patient at my Dr. Atwood's office since 2017, but my recent visit has left me feeling incredibly dissatisfied and disheartened. The primary issue I encountered during this visit was the exorbitant cost of replacing a crown, even after factoring in my insurance coverage. I was asked to pay nearly $1000, which is significantly higher than the industry standard. This price discrepancy led me to question whether I was being taken advantage of, which is a distressing thought for any patient.

To ensure I wasn't being overcharged, I reached out to a few other dentists in the area for quotes. Astonishingly, they quoted me less than half of what my current dentist's office was asking for. Such a substantial difference in pricing reinforced my belief that something is amiss at my current dentist's establishment.

Moreover, during my recent visit, I felt a distinct lack of attentiveness and responsiveness from both the dentists and staff. Despite having concerns and questions about the recommended treatment plan, it seemed as though my voice was not heard. Instead, I was rushed through the process and passed along without any meaningful engagement. This disregard for personalized care left me feeling overlooked and unheard.

Unfortunately, I cannot pinpoint the underlying reasons for these issues within the dentist's office. It is unclear whether the dentists are burnt out or if the establishment is understaffed. Regardless, the result is an unsatisfactory experience for patients like myself.

What saddened me the most was the apparent lack of concern shown towards my broken tooth crown. I left the office without any alternative options or a temporary fix, which left me feeling abandoned and disregarded. As a patient, I believe it is essential to be treated with respect and provided with viable solutions, especially when facing dental emergencies.

Regrettably, this experience has prompted me to seek a new dentist in Las Vegas. It is disheartening to contemplate leaving a dentist I have been seeing for several years, but I am determined to find a dental practice where I feel valued and respected.

In conclusion, my recent visit to my dentist's office was marred by inflated prices, a lack of attentiveness, and a feeling of being rushed through the process. The significant price discrepancy between my dentist and others in the area made me question the integrity of the practice. Additionally, the dismissive attitude towards my broken tooth crown without providing any alternative solutions left me feeling unsupported. As a result, I am actively searching for a new dentist who prioritizes patient care and values their patients' concerns.

I had a severe toothache and I was told by my dentist that my only option was to remove the tooth. I wanted to save the tooth so I waited to get a second opinion even though I was in a lot of pain. It was a Saturday and I called urgent dental and without an appointment they took me in right away and was able to save the tooth with a root canal procedure. In one word, painless. I've never gone to a dentist office and felt no pain while being worked on expect for the one time I was put to sleep. They were also very kind and attentive. A dentist office can be a scary place for some. This place really helps to defuse that fear. I strongly recommend!

Dentist is not my favorite place to visit. I have previously visited Urgent Dentist five years ago for extensive treatment. As you see I've returned because I was more than pleased with the results and care previously received. I highly recommend this office for all your dental needs.

Made a huge mistake coming to get my tooth checked out at this office. I had a cap come completely loose at around 8pm and found this plan online who could get me in at 9am. I showed up early and filled out my paperwork. I’m new to the state and currently don’t have insurance so I was expecting to pay cash. I was planning on getting my teeth checked out as soon as I had coverage through my job but of course my tooth had other plans. Most of the appointment I was waiting around, it was $80 for 1 picture/X-ray of the tooth and 5 min with the dentist for him to tell me I need a crown. He poked around in my mouth a came back with numbers for not only a crown but a tooth removal as an alternative and wisdom teeth removal. I have no desire to get my wisdom teeth out since I’ve had two other dentists recommended that I keep them unless they were bothering me. I was quoted almost 2k for the one crown and when I asked why it was so high she said that’s just what they charge and that she could see if they could get me a discount. The discount was that I had to pay $190 to get additional X-rays and teeth cleanings and then they’d drop the the price, it was still way out of my price range and quadruple the price I was quoted from two of my previous dentist back home. I felt very uncomfortable with the professionalism of the dentist who kept trying to push/bump in to me to get me to agree with him that I need my wisdom teeth out. I would never get work done at a place that’s just looking to make a dollar off you vs caring about what you really need. When I was checking out I asked for a copy of the exam records and my X-ray to be printed so I could hand a physical copy to another dentist who I immediately scheduled with while I was sitting around waiting. The receptionist said she couldn’t print me a copy she could only email it to me. When I asked why, she whispered she didn’t know but would ask the other lady sitting behind her. Not even a couple of minutes later she handed me a printed X-ray and my billing info and said that’s as much as she could give me and the rest would be emailed to me. Still haven’t received the email. I wouldn’t recommend this office to anyone if you need serious work done.

My son Matthew had all his teeth removed due to diseases. He was from out of town. While in Vegas some stitches broke and there was severe bleeding. I made one call and they got him right in. They were able to stop the bleeding and put in new stitches. And the price was right. The care was great, and I will tell other family members. Thank you so much. Brent Johnson

Got in touch with the doctor and was told to come in and they would take care of the tooth which was done right away. Yes it hurt but when you have a cavity that was so bad all you can do is make the best of it. I 'm so glad to have it done. I'll be going back to get the rest of the teeth fixed real soon. Great dentist with an awesome, helpful staff and very reasonable prices. Went to have two wisdom teeth removed and they made it as painless as possible. Took me in directly after I finished paperwork and made sure I was comfortable during the entire process. Surprisingly good prices as well, which always makes things much less stressful. Definitely coming back for any future dental appointments.
Also, their after hours staff helped me to get my prescriptions filled when I was having a difficult time with the pharmacy. Without them I’d probably still be dealing with that pharmacy a day later trying to get antibiotics. Awesome team!

They were able to get me a very last minute appointment while I was in Vegas on vacation. The ladies at the front desk were great with looking up my insurance, there were some issues that made it take a long time to find but they kept pushing through to find it. In the end I got my toothache taken care of that day and they were very accommodating. Would definitely recommend this place!

The employees here are so nice! They made the visit light hearted and easy going. I got a same day emergency visit for my wisdom teeth pain, and we decided to extract all 4 that same day (10/3/2022).
The preparation was quick, the procedure was comfortable, and they finished in about 30-40 minutes! I was able to drive myself home, get my meds, and relax. The pain and swelling are minimal the day after and I’m very pleased. I would highly recommend coming here for your dental care! I’ve never been to a medical office like this one. Thanks Dr. Atwood and others!
