I visit a lot of doctors offices and I can strongly recommend Dr. Rahnema and her staff. The ladies up front are always courteous and ready to help. They have a text line for RX refills and appointments or just about anything you can think of. It works amazingly. They get my lab forms to me and RX sent in immediately. No waiting around and having to to call multiple times. Dr. Rahnema is no nonsense and keeps me on track as best as can be. She listens to my concerns and is helpful. My meeting yesterday was with the PA at Valley Endocrinology. I thought I might be having a side effect of one of the medicines I was prescribed. The PA listened carefully to me, paid very good attention, and was able to recommend three different courses of action to see if one would resolve the issue. I was impressed with how she seemed involved with my problem. She also added details that will help me implement the course of action that I choose from among the several discussed. Very impressive. It has taken the doctor's office over 2 months to get my new prescription taken care of as well as a vital prescription needed to prevent my blood from clotting. I've come and deliver the paperwork necessary in person and they have still yet to process it. I've called multiple times and asked for a call back and nobody responds. I was not happy with being shifted into a new Endocrinologogist office. But after I filled out PART ONE AND PART TWO of paperwork, and calmed down and talked to the PA, I guess the experience was okay. The waiting room is okay, the TV is not blaring loud rude content. HOWEVER, the front desk staff and back office assistant should not speak about patients in any language while there's anyone in the waiting room. That made me feel uncomfortable.
I am not privileged, but I know what bothers me.
My insurance company and original medical group had some kind of division that felt like a divorce and I have to stay at my Aunts house until things get settled. Uncomfortable. I hate filling out personal history and all that. It is not this doctor's fault or mine. But since I have health issues I shouldn't have to go through this process.

This is just my preliminary review. You need recent bloodwork and a referral from your doctor to even schedule an appointment. I had recent bloodwork, but had to waste money going to my PCP in order to get a referral so that I could change endocrinologists. It didn't matter that I was already being treated by another endocrinologist. Then I called a week later and they told me they could not schedule me. I had to wait for their referral team to reach out. They do so in the order the referrals are received. It took me a week to get an an appointment with my PCP, they sent the referral. I have limited time where I can take calls throughout the day. So now I have to wait for them to call, hope I can answer. When asked how long it takes to get a response the girl said she didn't know. They will call me in order. It just depends on how many referrals there are. So much for trying to be proactive about my health care. Just sit and wait and see if my review goes up, or down.

Dont expect to make an appointment for any time soon but once you get your appointment, it's easy, breezy. Short time spent in the waiting room and short time to see the dr once you are you're in a room. The doctor and staff are beyond nice and they actually listen when you talk most times. I drive 45 min in order to see Dr. Rahnema. I was only in the room long enough to capture these pics, looking out the window. I've been going here for years and now that they are moving, I will be only 10 min away. Yay! Wow… if I didn’t know better, I’d think Isabella was personally plotting against humanity after reading this. Funny thing is, every time I’ve been there she’s been polite, helpful, and professional. In my experience, both the doctor and Isabella care about their patients health and safety. As a patient, this review feels more like a tantrum than a critique. Expecting perfection while showing zero patience or basic respect isn’t a healthcare issue, it sound like more of a personal one. I’ve had no issues communicating with staff or receiving care. If multiple people are misunderstanding you, it may be worth reconsidering how you’re speaking to them. The STAFF aren’t obligated to tolerate disrespect. This hasn't been my experience at all. When i first moved to LV it took me 3 tries to find the right endocrinologist. When i got here, my A1c was close to 9, my weight pushed 240, and i was using as much as 135 units of insulin daily. My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Rahnema for many years. We like her, her PA, and her nurses, but her office staff is just awful. They are polite enough, in person and on the phone, but about 90% of the time, they do not answer their phones. If I leave a message, they never call back. If my pharmacy calls to request a refill, they never respond, so I end up having to call the office myself, which for the reasons I already mentioned, is always a challenge. Right now, I am waiting for a prior authorization for my Ozempic (which I have been using for years due to diabetes), because my insurance won't pay unless they receive one. My pharmacy already requested one, but, as usual, the doctor's office has failed to respond. The Ozempic is a once-weekly medication, and I should have taken mine yesterday, but because of this problem with the doctor's office not doing their job, I have run out of medication. I already called them once about this, but they have done nothing. I tried all afternoon and all day today to reach them, and have left messages, but nothing. I think they are closed on Fridays, so I probably won't be able to get my Ozempic until next week, and I'm sure that isn't good for my health. But Dr. Rahnema's office staff can't be bothered with such minor things as her patients' health.

There is a long wait to be seen for your first visit but it was worth it! I had gone to another endocrinologist but they dropped the ball when it came to communication (I couldn’t even get anyone on the phone or to call me back). So I asked my primary for a different referral and I’m so happy I did. I did not meet with the doctor, rather I was seen by her PA Linda. Linda showed true compassion and interest in why I wanted to be seen. She answered all my questions and kept asking if I had any other questions. Not once did I feel rushed surely felt heard. Doctor is too cheap to have multiple phone lines. Every time I call it please hold there are three calls ahead of you. I fought about a bill since January 2025 because she was not credentialed properly. I called every month with the same answer. She billed for services not rendered. I never took my shoes off but billed for a foot exam. I feel she had serious issues and I would not trust her. They NEVER were able to get medications called in. She's always booked, and the staff can be a little short. They said it can take up to three months to process prescriptions. Two appointments were enough for me. Their reasoning behind the delays is the number of patients they have. If you know it's taking that long for diabetics to receive their supplies, either stop taking patients or address why your staff isn't keeping up. I tried to be patient, but I couldn't deal with this anymore and the attitude of some of the staff. You've been warned; you'll notice all the bad reviews have similar experiences. I was an office manager and I treat people with respect. Their reactions were unprovoked. There's a post here that refers to the doctor feeling overwhelmed by patients. Dr is great. Got my numbers lowered and then was able to keep them lowered. But the office staff except the receptionist are difficult . As u read earlier Isabella doesn't communicate very well. She gets angry quickly and defensive. Very hard to get refills . She doesn't follow up..:Running out of. Medicine is a common occurrence .

This endocrinology office has been such a positive experience for us. The whole team is friendly, organized, and caring. From scheduling to follow-ups, everything is handled smoothly and with genuine attention. Dr. Rahnema is amazing and so is Linda the PA.

Isabella, in particular, is absolutely outstanding. She’s the heart of the office — always professional, kind, and incredibly attentive. Dr Rahnema and her staff have taken care of my affliction with a hereditary disease called Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. It can reek havoc if proper bloodwork and maintenance are not performed every 6 months for life. Their office manager is a horrible person. Her name is Isabella and I literally stopped going there because of this person, not because of the doctor, because of the rudeness of this office manager, and the refusal to do her job. I was told I was getting a prescription, which was called into the Pharmacythat day. I called back later. They told me I needed the insurance approvals. I got them. I called back the next day and I was told I had to wait.After a week she told me I had to wait again, both times rudely. I called back the next week and she was rude again, saying you had to wait again rudely! It was approved on by my insurance company. And she kept saying you still have to wait 2 1/2 weeks later I called back and she was rude and said you still have to wait and you have to wait as long as it takes! This was approved on the first day. I got the prescription and brought it to my pharmacy! I was done! I made a quick phone call to my Primary. He got the paperwork and I got the prescription that day. She’s Extremely rude!! She just is lazy and doesn’t wanna do her job! If this doctor wants to keep rude nasty employees that insult her patients, she will eventually lose patients!

I know Valley Endocrinology is high in demand due to their outstanding reputation. However, after explaining to Elizabeth, the office manager, my wife’s condition, Elizabeth was able to book my wife and an appointment right away. On our first appointment, the staff were very friendly, professional, and made me and my wife very welcome. My wife and I were also very impressed with PA Chen who saw my wife, who also took the time to explain to me and my wife my wife’s condition. After PA Chen discussed my wife’s condition with Doctor Fariba Rahnema, a treatment plan developed to immediately address my wife’s Thyroid issue. This office is very busy, please be patient and understand that the office and medical staff are working hard to accommodate and treat what endocrinology treatment you need. Definitely recommend Valley Endocrinology for your endocrinology treatment.

The doctor is great, but her staff is horrible especially her office manager. Like any business, the doctor built a relationship with her office manager it’s probably why she keeps her.

Isabella, the office manager by far is the rudest individual that anybody could ever deal with. I don’t think she realizes what a patient’s health is. I’m going report her to the Joint Commission for patient safety concerns, the state medical board. The doctor really needs to look at this individual because the patients health is more important than anything. If anybody has a complaint against Isabella file a complaint get this individual removed from this office immediately. She doesn’t know what the patient’s safety is about.

If you can’t write a Prescriptions stop taking patients. Isabella made an excuse. She has too many patients. That’s really bad.

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Rahnema. She is amazing! She’s so thorough and really takes her time with me at every visit. On time! Quick and efficient! 11:00 appointment, arrived at 10:50, seen before 11 and leaving by 11:06! Now some people might say, Dr Rahnema didn't spend any time with you. I went on my quarterly check up visit and blood work review from Quest. I changed my health insurance in February and was having problems getting my DexCom 7 Sensors delivered with the new insurance company. Dr Ranema made a few phone calls and fixed the problem with the diabetes supply's. Her partner Linda Chen also was able to obtain information regarding my Pet scan scheduled for Thursday. Thanks to the help they gave me I can thank them enough.

I visited Dr. Rahnema in August of 2024 and had such a shocking experience that it has taken me this long to write about it.

I was referred to an endocrinologist due to some labs that needed followup and some health issues, including a small amount of recent weight gain. I have several other symptoms listed, none of them having to do with weight.

Appointments were so far out that I had to wait three months to see the Dr. When I arrived, things went as normal - staff confirms why I am visiting, fill out paperwork, etc.

When Dr. Rahnema arrives, she locked in to my weight gain symptom, which, frankly, was one of the least concerning amidst the other symptoms. She asked, "You want to lose weight, right?" And I said "sure, im fine with that but it's not the main reason I am here." I wanted more labs run, and for an endocrinologist to really look at my hormone levels and see if an imbalance was causing my symptoms. She goes back to the topic of weight loss meds and says "We are out of Ozempic but we do have Wegovy and many people feel better overall and lose weight." I tell her I am not interested in those meds as a first line of defense and want to get to the bottom of why I dont feel well before deciding on treatment.

She asks about my medical history and asks what my high school.weight was, which I tell her. She then does the calculations of my current weight versus my high school weight, divides that number by 20 (i have been out of high school a little over 20 years) and she says "So you have been gaining a few pounds a year on average, right?" And I tell her no, that i had kids very young and gained weight with my second pregnancy and I have fluctuated in the same 10lb range ever since then.

And then she says that in order to weigh what I do, I am eating around 6000 calories a day.

Now this whole time I felt like I was fighting one assumption after another, and then to hear this I was just shocked. She then goes to touch the back of my neck and says "you have neck fat, thats a sign of kushings" and then asks to see my stretch marks from pregnancy and says they are purple which is a sign of kushings. Then she recommends I get some labs run so we can see if I have any other hormonal imbalances.

I left that visit with my head spinning. When I got home and told my family what she said they were stunned and angry for me. I did some research and found that a sumo wrestler eats 7000-10000 calories a day. I don't eat meat, and I eat very little dairy because it makes me sick. I dont eat a lot of processed food because it makes me feel ill. When it comes down to it... I couldn't eat 6000 calories a day without straining myself. It's crazy. What is this doctor thinking? I even took my height and weight and ran it in calculators and I would gain 2lbs a week if I ate juat over 3500 calories a day. 6000 is INSANE. Jumping to Wegovy is irresponsible. Not listening to your patients and looking at their scale number and diagnosing and assigning treatment without listening to and understanding their genuine health concerns is dangerous, lazy, and probably a pharmaceutical money grab.

Woven into all the 6000 calories/kushings/wegovy talk she added that I am pretty, just large. I didn't ask for judgement and a score on my looks, I came for medical guidance and expertise.
I just don't know what to say, even now. I guess if you want the glp-1 meds, you'll get it quick and easy without much consideration about whether or not it is right for you.

In addition to all these issues, it was so difficult to set an appointment there. They lost my referral, it took close to a couple months to even get the appointment. I felt like I needed to fight just to be seen... and then to be treated so poorly - the whole experience was incredibly disappointing. Seriously, don't waste your energy here unless your goal is easy glp-1 meds.

Even then, there are probably other providers who will prescribe you those meds with more consideration for your overall health and safety rather than trying to make you feel like crap to make an extra buck.

I just received a response from Google to call the office. But I have called 10 times in the last 20 minutes and nobody is your voicemail is completely full. How do you assist me further??

Trying to get ahold of these people is like pulling teeth. This is the third time I'm trying to just talk to the front staff and I cannot get through whatsoever. At first it said the the office was closed and I'm calling after hours. Then I called back and it just rings and rings and rings. I tried to wait and leave a message but the mailbox is full and unable to leave a message. I tried to reach out via fax to no avail. Do you have to beg to just speak to somebody here. Perhaps they're understaffed? My husband's having a real issue and I need to get him in as soon as possible.. and I don't know what I can do from here.

Not sure how they have 4.7 ⭐️. My Dr. sent a referral 2 weeks ago. I called them 2 weeks ago to schedule an appt. They said they will call me back. I never heard from them. I have now left 3 messages and a week later I still have not heard back from them. If this is a indication of their service, I want no parts of it. I just reached out to my Dr. to send my referral to another office that accept my insurance. My co-worker was referred to another office and their follow-up is awesome.

I read all of your Yelp reviews which is all 1 stars complaining about this same matter. I see several ppl said that you will put me on a negative do not cb list.
