This is on behave of one of my family members- I believe he sees Arlene to who he says is amazing but he wishes that it wouldn’t be different medical assistants every time the past of couple visits he’s been there it has been a very nice male medical assistant with tattoos on his arms who has been able to answer all his questions and when we verified with Arlene or the doctor he was very much corrected, on his last visit he stated that the female medical assistant that was assisting him was very rude and that when he asked where is the male assistant they responded that it want his concern then he proceeded to ask a question and they couldn’t answer simple questions for him. He made a smart remark to the medical assistant and they told him “well that’s why he’s no longer here and I am” and told me to check out the. Walked out

Please train your medical staff basic courtesy and help them retain basic knowledge so not everything is thrown to the doctors which can take a long time to get any answers back

WCE Specialty changed my life. I had been struggling with a stubborn, painful wound that just wasn't getting better. The multi-disciplinary approach at this clinic is what makes it work. Dr. Sooppan completely turned things around by identifying and treating my blocked blood vessels to get the circulation flowing properly again. My experience with this endocrinologist was terrible. I came in with a hypothyroidism diagnosis with high T3. From the beginning she was mocking and dismissive towards me and showed no interest in my case. She refused to give medication she told me that T3 in the United state is not an stable form of the thyroid hormone. When she told me that I was in shock, . I told her that no wonder there’s a lot of woman out there fat obviously I did not listen to her.
I had to seek care in Mexico because my health was not getting better with her. Thanks to that, I am now recovered and healthy. It's very disappointing when a specialist doesn't take their patient's health seriously.
I asked for my medical records and she had put denied as a result in my family history because she never asked me nothing about my family history. She had never touched my neck or send me to do farther actions do not waste your time with this endocrinologist I’m not coming back with her.

Great atmosphere! Everyone is very friendly, pleasant and helpful. I Love my doctor, Dr. Tyler Herren and only want to see him. He has been working on my wounds for 4 years now. He has a great patient to doctor relationship and truly cares about his patients. Levon at the front desk has such a bubbly personality and is always willing to help-grabbing the doors for me before I can get to them with my walker. Also Karla my medical assistant was very kind and helpful too. Even though the Fort Apache office is not my regular location that I visit, I’ve had a great experience both times I’ve had to come here and will be happy if I have to come again.

It takes so much for me to be bothered to write a review, but oh my god this is hands down the worst medical experience in my entire life. I don't even want to type everything, because its soo many things, over the 8 months ive been a patient here I don't think I've ever walked out of there without multiple issues. I don't encourage anyone to go here.. its amazing how hard it is to even get your prescriptions filled.. ive had no prescription for over a month already! About 30 phone calls of the pharmacy never received it, then they say we took care of it sorry.. and still nothing this has been going on for almost 2 months! Is that not actually insane? They can't take the time to call and fill 1 prescription. A joke

My boyfriend had an appointment with Dr. Maria Pesantez on 1/05/2026 and since the beginning she has not listened to him or any of his questions or concerns. She even reviewed his labs with him saying his results were out of range as to why she could not adjust his dose of medication to which none of them were after reviewing them and having another medical professional review them as well. The biggest complaint at this point is the fact that he had a visit with her over a week ago and his medication is still NOT filled to this date. He has been out for the past 2 weeks and it's negatively impacting his life, but she does not care. He has called repeatedly multiple times to get answers and they are giving him multiple excuses, here's a good one "she got locked out of her system so she can't prescribe right now" (that was 6 days ago), well as a medical professional and having the responsibility of appropriately treating her patients, you would think she would be more on top of getting "unlocked" out of her system. Then he called again and the office has no idea what they're doing so they said "we will call the medical director", that was 5 days ago, and here were are on Tuesday and he called again, to which they told him "we will call the medical director"....again...how many times do you have to "call the medical director" to get answers. I would not recommend going here at all, but if you have to/do go here, DO NOT see Dr. Maria Pesantez

I’ve been coming to WCE for 2 years and actually look forward to my weekly visit because everyone is so nice!! The office manager from my previous wound care, Angelica, started at WCE a couple weeks before I started coming here which was great. I had a friend from the start. All the nurses and CNA’s are wonderful!! Lavonne, receptionist, is great - very friendly, and I love Dr Heeren. He is the most down-to-earth honest doctor I’ve ever met. I’m sorry, but truthfully, I don’t have a bad word about WCE. I’m just surprised it’s not more crowded!!!

This review covers both clinics: Wound Care Experts and Sagebrush Health and is posted on both. I’m revealing some personal information, but frankly, I’m not concerned about that.

I was under Dr. Carol Pinelo’s care (Wound Care Experts) for a severe infection. I had a PICC line, daily home infusions, and weekly blood draws. Then — without warning, without a transition plan — they left a 50-second voicemail saying:

“We’re giving you a courtesy call to let you know Dr. Pinelo is no longer seeing patients in the office… so we are referring you out. Referral has been faxed…”

No follow-up. No coverage. No doctor to manage complications.

That same week, my PICC line occluded. My home health nurse couldn’t draw blood. I needed alteplase — a clot-dissolving medication only an infectious disease doctor can order.

With no ID doctor, I was left in a dangerous, potentially life-threatening gap in care.

The referral went to Sagebrush Health. They never called. I called them and their on-call doctor refused to help without an initial visit and instructed me to go to the ER. I spent 12 hours there, terrified of a possible DVT or other serious complication. Ultrasound found a superficial blood clot — but the ER couldn’t fully resolve the PICC issue and sent me home to finish my last 10 days of treatment through a partially occluded line, praying it wouldn’t fail.

Sagebrush Health finally called yesterday — 34 days later — to schedule the referral.

Treatment was over. I no longer needed them. Only because my previous ID doctor took mercy and saw me was I able to safely remove the PICC line and close care.

Wound Care Experts called abandonment a “courtesy.”
Sagebrush Health ignored an urgent referral for 34 days.
This was patient abandonment, negligent handoff, and reckless disregard for a high-risk patient.

Never trust them with your life.

I have had nothing but excellent experiences at Wound Care Experts Specialty with Dr. Ibrahim. She was always efficient, professional, and I was typically out of the office within 30 minutes. Unfortunately, Dr. Ibrahim recently left the practice, and I was transferred to Dr. Maria Pesantez.

My appointment today at 11:00 am made it clear that Dr. Pesantez operates very differently. I ended up waiting over an hour and ultimately decided to leave due to the long wait. I spoke with management, and while they are aware of the issue, it seems the COO is responsible for the scheduling.

It was very disappointing to go from a doctor who valued my time to one where extended waits appear to be normal. Based on my experience and the reports I’ve heard, patients often wait 1–2 hours to see Dr. Pesantez. Unfortunately, I will not be returning for appointments with her due to these consistently long waits.

Docs here cover all their bases to make sure they find the cause of your wound or problem. They have all the specialists working together on my mom’s leg. Sometimes she has to wait a little bit for a few appts but it was worth it. Dr. Peck and Page always make sure she is taken care of, he even had their vascular specialist look at her foot and do some tests. It gets busy but the office makes sure she gets great care and gets all the treatments she needs. It is helping so much

Just because you slack off and don't care about your job doesn't mean others don't care about theirs. Choose a different work field if you don't care about people. Hello.
On this New Year's 2024, I received a call from call center for the Wound Care Clinic on Fort Apache & Patrick. The nice woman working remotely from home explained to me that my appointment has to be rescheduled because Dr. Tyler Heeren will be 'sick' on January 3rd, 2025. The Doctor might in the wrong field, if he can foresee his condition 4 days from the day the office called to reschedule.
Dr. Heeren, since you can see into the future, please let me know who's going to win the Superbowl, so that I can put a few bucks on the game.
The injury I suffered is a priority to me and was looking forward to seeing a professional to advise and guide me to a healing state.
I rescheduled, but I find it strange that there is not a practitioner or doctor at any of Wound Care Clinics, at any time of the day, that could spend 15 to 20 minutes evaluating the condition of the wound. I made special arrangements to be present for the Jan. 3 2025 appointment. I took the day off from work in order to be treated.

Wound care experts made a difficult experience almost enjoyable. Being recently released was a good news, bad news affair. Although you want your wound to heal, you are sad that you will no longer be seeing all the caring, understanding, compassionate staff that is at the same time highly professional and skilled.
