Terrible service. As a newborn mom, you’d expect them to have flexibility if you are a couple minutes late. They refused seeing me because they said they have NO grace period and it’s a $75 late fee. I even called to let them know. I will not be returning. As for the Dr. she showed no concerns for an issue I had regarding my daughter. It’s unfortunate they are a PEDIATRIC office and show no grace to mothers who just gave birth and are doing their best to take their child to their appointments. Also, this location offers no walk ins.

I’ve been taking my kids to Desert Pediatrics for 15 years. Since the switch to Wee care the quality is terrible! One hour wait in the waiting room and over an hour in the room! I made a sick appointment and no one acknowledged me. When they finally saw I checked in it was 3:11 and they told me my appt was at 2:45 as if I showed up late. Dr. Muyot is awesome and the only reason we kept coming back. Dr. Weiner was the original reason we started coming here. Train your staff to have better customer service and awareness of their surroundings.

I am writing this review to warn other parents, especially those with children with special needs.

I have three children who are patients at this clinic: my 11-year-old daughter, my 8-year-old son with autism (non-verbal), and my 11-month-old baby. After everything we have experienced, I will never bring my children back here. This office has officially lost three patients today.

A few months ago, I needed my daughter’s medical records for her private school. I went to the office in person and was told to request them by email. It took THREE WEEKS to receive a simple document. During that time, my daughter could not attend school, and I was still paying tuition. I called multiple times, was transferred from person to person, and no one helped or took responsibility. Completely unacceptable and irresponsible.

Two weeks ago, I brought my 11-month-old baby for a scheduled appointment for his second flu shot. After waiting an hour and a half, I was told they did not even have the vaccine available and that I needed to go back home. No apology, no concern for my baby, and no respect for my time. Just wasted time and frustration.

Today was the final straw. I came directly from my autistic son’s dentist. My son is non-verbal, has autism, and is currently in pain due to a dental issue. Every year, his dentist requires a routine medical clearance form from his pediatrician so he can safely receive anesthesia for dental treatment. This is standard and urgent care for children with special needs.

Despite clearly explaining that my child is in pain and needs urgent treatment, the staff told me they cannot fill out the form unless I schedule an appointment, with the earliest availability being Monday. They showed zero urgency, zero empathy, and zero understanding of what it means to care for a child with special needs who is suffering.

A pediatric clinic that cannot:
• Provide medical records in a reasonable timeframe
• Be prepared for scheduled vaccine appointments
• Assist urgently when a special-needs child is in pain

should not be caring for children.

Because of the repeated poor service, lack of organization, and lack of compassion, this clinic has lost three patients in my family. In addition, I will be reporting this clinic to Medicaid for the ongoing issues, delays, and inadequate care we have experienced.

I am sharing this review so other parents can make an informed decision. Children — especially children with special needs — deserve far better care than what is provided here.

This was our first time seeing Dr. Richard Powell, along with his nurse Kristy, and I couldn’t be more pleased. Dr. Powell was extremely professional and took the time to truly listen to my concerns as a mother, which meant so much to me. Kristy was kind, attentive, and made the visit feel comfortable from start to finish. The entire office experience was awesome from checking in to checking out, everything was smooth and welcoming. I took my baby in with the onsite of flu symptoms.

My husband got sick with the flu, then my baby and I started with the symptoms 5 days later.
I asked them for Tamiflu and the NP, Alisha, would not give it to us without him testing positive. I told her that the tests have to be taken at a very limited window and they're not always accurate. Our nanny gave us the flu and she tested positive for type A. Two day later, my husband got sick. A few days after that, my 8 month old and I got sick. We don't go out, we're always home, we work from home. We were not in contact with anyone else. So she most certainly gave it to us.
The NP just kept arguing with me. "He's not that sick, I see way more sick babies in here". Duh, lady. HE JUST STARTED HIS SYMPTOMS AND IT HAS TO BE TAKEN WITHIN 48 HOURS! He had been running non stop fevers, and just because he was happy at that moment didn't mean he wasn't sick. He was stuffy, coughing, fussy add restless while sleeping. I was already giving him Tylenol, Motrin and other meds to manage his symptoms.
And if people are bringing they're babies in that sick, it's too late for tamiflu anyways. I was being proactive. I was trying to avoid him getting much worse. The last time he got really sick, we ended up in the hospital for 5 days because he wouldn't eat he was so sick.

Now my baby is so much more sick. So congested, coughing like crazy, it's all affecting his sleep so much and we can only try our best to make him comfortable. He's barely eating and the flu symptoms are so much worse. Still constant fevers all day and night. Coughing so hard, he's throwing up. Which is incredibly scary because he has a cleft palette that's a massive choking hazard... Which I told her about. Babies die from the flu, a lot. So for her to not help us prevent him getting very ill is very concerning for a medical professional. She clearly does not understand why Tamiflu is used.

Tamiflu only works if you have the flu. And it helps relieve their symptoms faster. I'm not an idiot. I ask professionals a lot of questions. My best friend is a nurse practitioner that's been in the field for 15 years, mostly in the NICU. I have a ton of Filipino family in the medical industry (y'all all know Filipinos love to be nurses 😂). They all said she could have prescribed it and it wouldn't have hurt him if he didn't have the flu, but it was definitely warranted that she should've.

Needless to say, I'm pretty pissed off. I got tamiflu for myself, and 3 days in, I'm much better. My husband is 2 weeks in and still really sick. He never got Tamiflu. I'm really hoping my baby does not stay sick that long. It's awful watching him this miserable and coughing so hard.

I've dealt with Lindsey at the Cascade location and she's amazing. I highly do not recommend Alisha.

I've dealt with enough medical professionals that don't listen or care and it's incredibly frustrating.

Our pediatrician recently retired so I’ve been searching for a while not wanting to settle. I read awesome reviews on Wee Care Pediatrics and decided to give them a try. I am so thankful I made that decision. Dr. Powell and my new lil sis Lay, were highly attentive, knowledgeable, and wonderful with my baby. Not to mention the small details that make us feel so welcome…my son’s name was written on the paper on the bed! I’m telling you, it made a difference in how we were welcomed. Dr. Muyot is great and if I can give five stars for her I would. But, we asked for the medical records of our eldest three weeks ago, we signed all the needed papers to release but it took another visit and reminder to the lady in the front office to finally release the medical records we needed. They just totally forgot about our request. We also asked for a speech therapy referral for our youngest last year specifying the preferred speech therapy clinic but they referred us to Tick Talk Therapy in Henderson which is 12 miles away from our house. Then when we asked the referral specialist why we were referred to a clinic which is not of our choice, she answered that it was the one approved by our insurance. Take note that we already confirmed with our speech therapy clinic of choice that our insurance is accepted. And currently, we are in the process of transferring to another speech therapy clinic and guess what? We are being referred again to Tick Talk Therapy by the referral specialist. This happened although we already specified the clinic of our choice-which accepts our insurance and is close to our residence. I hope the referral specialist will realize that our medical insurance does not accept Tick Talk Therapy alone. I also hope that she will not require us to travel to another city for the therapy of my child which is definitely available just a mile away from our home. I suggest to remind your staffs to address parents request for records on a timely manner and to listen to parents request regarding referrals. There is a reason why we request for a specific clinic like access, insurance acceptance, and familiarity with the service.

Honestly, the best pediatrician office In all Vegas. I moved from California and I was struggling to look for a pediatrician And came across this clinic, looking online for available weekend appointments. This was the best Google find I have found lol! Such caring staff the nurses My favorite is MA Jasmine, of course lol but all of them are sweet. The front desk is very attentive and help you look for the best appointments and the doctors don’t even get me started and address all the concerns I have and don’t leave any question unanswered. Back office is great. All the providers have been amazing with my baby. But getting ahold of the front office to change or schedule an appointment is the biggest hassle. They literally have a queue on the phone every single time. Its probably faster to drive to the office and back for a simple appt change rather than waiting on the phone. Also I had issues with my insurance and paid out of pocket with the assurance they would refund me once the insurance paid out. Yeah they did but I had to wait months for my money, at one point it was even because they had already cut too many checks for the month so had to wait until next months. If you can avoid needing the front office the place is great

I’ve been bringing my newborn here, and overall, the experience with the doctor has been wonderful.
But *only with the back office medical assistants and the doctor*, the front office is terribly disappointing.

The doctor is incredibly sweet and genuinely seems to care about my baby, even though she probably sees hundreds of little ones each week.
That personal touch makes a big difference; it never feels like a rushed or impersonal visit, which is refreshing in pediatrics.

The back office medical assistants have also been kind, patient, and thorough every time I’ve been in.

The front desk experience has been disappointing.
In particular, the woman who sets appointments during checkout, an African American woman, has been consistently dismissive and doesn’t seem happy to be there?

Another woman (wears glasses I think), who usually sits near the entrance on the right side of the building (when facing) has a similar attitude.
Both usually slightly condescending?

It’s unfortunate, because the BACK OFFICE and doctor is wonderful.

I truly hope the front office staff improves their communication and approach. First and last impressions matter, especially when dealing with new parents.

When we first started seeing her, my daughter was under weight, not feeling well both physically and mentally and at the time, she felt incredibly alone—like no one truly understood or cared about what she was going through outside of me. Used to come here for 5 years!! And everytime had to wait over 40-55 min to see my kids doctor even with a scheduled time!! They are quick to send reminders they will charge if we show up late or not show up at all, but today I had to wait for over 55 minutes and doctor was nowhere to be seen. Update: I will be going to a new pediatrician. My daughter is 7 months old and ive been doing a delayed vaccine schedule with her. While her pediatrician has never directly agreed or disagreed with this, I can tell shes not a fan by her push for vaccines even when I delay. That's not really what bothers me though. What does is poor vaccine documentation. Today was the second time ive come in to get vaccines for my baby and they didnt have her records updated so they try to convince me I need vaccines that I KNOW my child already had. When they finally cleared it all up and updated it, I expressed that this concerned me and made me feel uncomfortable. To which the pediatrician went on to say it's because I'm not getting them done when they're supposed to be!! As if that's an excuse for THEM not updating my child's vaccine history appropriately EVERY visit. I'm pretty upset that this issue would be made to seem as though its somehow MY fault!! Very disappointed to have to now find a new pediatrician.

Terrible place to take your kids to.Their name couldnt be farther from the truth.They dont care about their patients.My son was seen by the doctor and without any examen he was prescribed medication which didnt work.i made an appointment to go back 3 days later and when waiting on the appointment in the waiting room they canceled the appointment on us.We asked why whats going on and the receptionist was very rude.We ended up waiting hours to get in then the doctor who also had an appointment to see my daughter would wanna hear a word about my son.He kept saying you always mention your son?!my patient is your daughter there is nothing i can do for him.They are absolutely unprofesional and clearly dont care but boy they care about charging you the co pay even though they canceled on us.I also heard the receptionist speaking spanish with someone but when my wife asked them if they can help her in spanish they said they dont speak it.Stay far away

I recently had an extremely frustrating experience with Jackie in the front office. Her attitude was not only dismissive but also condescending, both in person and over the phone. Despite being told that my prescription would be sent over by noon, I found myself having to follow up with the office more than six times. Each time I called, I was met with gaslighting and unhelpful responses. Ultimately, it turned out that Jackie had called the wrong pharmacy, which caused unnecessary delays.

It is clear to me that Jackie lacks the basic customer service skills required for her role. Her behavior is completely unprofessional, and it’s evident that she is not suited for working in this field.

Additionally, this pediatric office has significantly declined since transitioning from Desert Pediatrics to WeeCare. After the switch, scheduling became an ongoing challenge, and communication with the office was nearly impossible, prompting us to change pediatricians. While we decided to return, it became apparent that no patients were notified of key policy changes, such as the discontinuation of walk-ins for sick visits. If a practice is taking over an existing patient base, proper communication and a welcoming environment are essential—unfortunately, this has not been the case.

Although the care provided by the doctors is still commendable, the overall office experience has deteriorated to the point where it no longer justifies continuing as a patient. The office staff, particularly Jackie, urgently needs to improve or be replaced for the practice to restore its reputation.

I took my son here for his 15 month “checkup” because our old pediatrician who was wonderful unfortunately stopped taking our insurance. I put checkup in quotations because no checkup even happened. No one even touched or looked at my son except to give him his shots. No physical whatsoever.

Also, the APRN we saw (which is weird, why aren’t we seeing a doctor?) was super judgy and made me and my husband feel like we were doing something wrong. I won’t even go into details about the comments she made because there were so many?

This place also feels like a prison. No toys, no books, no warmth at all.

I will not be taking my son back here. Especially not to be felt like I’m being judged and I’m doing parenting “wrong” because I’m young or the way I look.

Mr.Muyot and Mela are my absolute favorite! Ive been coming to this office for 22 years they were my motivation to stay after Dr.Weiner retired ! All 3 of my kids have been going to Dr.muyot and mela since being born ! They always are working swiftly together , ive always been in and out or ALWAYS communicate the flow of the day. Silvia, in particular, is incredibly welcoming and always greets us with a smile. She adores our little boy, Isaac, and her warmth makes every trip to the office so much better.

I have come to see Dr. Muyot and crew for years, they have always had amazing nurses. They always had my kids laughing and feeling comfortable before the doctor comes in. Doctor come in and takes her time with my children she explains and gives examples to assist in my kids health and wellness. After I have seen the doctor I enjoy going to the check out ladies they are always ready for me and if I need any documents they are quick to assist me with them. I’m kind of disappointed they switched over to wee care from desert pediatrics. I’ve taken my kids to desert pediatrics since my oldest was born which now she’s 18 always so nice and you could get in the same day for sick appointments. Well now they are wee pediatrics I called today for an appointment for my daughter who is sick and they wouldn’t take her in said they are fully booked I think they need to keep same day appointments for sick kids. And then the lady who was helping me also had an attitude like she didn’t like her job. If you are used to desert pediatrics ways don’t go here they are not the same I think I am going to be finding a new office for my kids.
