Went to Welch dentistry for the first time and saw Dr Greg. Upon examining my teeth he told me I had 3 cavities . Mind you I go to the dentist every 6 months and haven't had any cavities for years ! I decided to go back to my old dentist for a second opinion and he told me I had zero cavities! I showed him the bill from Welch's which says which teeth need fillings and my dentist said he absolutely doesn't see what that dentist is seeing and that I don't have any cavities . I don't recommend this office !

I am bad with names but my prophylaxis is 2X a year and everyone of them did a very good job. The one I just had last Monday was really good, with a gentle touch. No pain at all. Their office is remarkably clean, their staff is so nice and the technology they use is top of the line. When I arrived, the receptionist greeted me kindly and checked me in. I explained that I only wanted bitewing X-rays done, as my previous dentist had completed those in May 2024. I also noted that my full-mouth X-rays had already been done in May 2023, and I confirmed with my prior provider that I was not due for another full set. Unless there’s a specific dental condition or concern, full-mouth X-rays typically only need to be done every three to five years — and my dental history doesn’t warrant early repetition.

I explained that I try to limit unnecessary X-ray exposure because I’ve had breast implant removal surgery, I’m actively trying to get pregnant, and I’ve taken the time to educate myself about the risks of cumulative exposure. I’m not anti-X-ray — just intentional about when they’re medically necessary.

The receptionist was respectful and understanding. However, the woman next to her (not sure if she was another front desk staff or an assistant) immediately rolled her eyes and said I “had” to get the full set since I was a new patient. I asked if they could request my recent X-rays from my previous dentist instead. The receptionist said she’d be happy to call them and was able to get them sent over. She told me the dentist might still want full X-rays, but she’d check. That’s when the dental assistant came out and told me that even though insurance doesn’t require it, they were still going to do the full set because I was new. I explained that it wasn’t about insurance — it was a personal health decision. She brushed it off and said they’d still need to do them.

Eventually, the receptionist came back and said the dentist agreed to proceed with just bitewings. I appreciated that. But once the dental assistant brought me to the back, things got really uncomfortable. She made snarky, passive-aggressive comments like, “So where did you go to radiology school?” and “You must not have granite countertops at home.” At one point, she asked how I reheated my food — then made a comment about microwaves and radiation. I tried to stay calm and polite, but I felt really uncomfortable. I shouldn’t have to defend or explain my personal health decisions in that kind of tone.

The dentist himself was kind, respectful, and didn’t once bring up the X-rays. He even helped buff out a stain on my front tooth and answered a few questions I had. Totally professional. Then the hygienist came in to assess gum health. I told her I had the MTHFR gene mutation, was on HCG, and had just started methylated B vitamins after a long deficiency — and asked if systemic inflammation could affect my gums. She sort of shrugged and said, “Maybe. I wouldn’t know without X-rays.” Then she proceeded with the gum measurements and told me I had acute inflammation, but they couldn’t do a regular cleaning — I’d need a deeper, laser-based one that had to be approved by insurance. I agreed and said that was fine.

So — overall, I left feeling deeply uncomfortable. The receptionist and the dentist were the only bright spots in the visit. The dental assistant and the hygienist made me feel judged, condescended to, and honestly a little unsafe — especially since they were going to be working inside my mouth. I wasn’t being difficult. I was kind, asked fair questions, and simply advocated for my health and personal boundaries.

What’s more, after doing more research, I found that yes, your gums can reflect systemic inflammation — especially if you’re dealing with methylation issues or hormone therapies like HCG. I was right to ask those questions. I do not recommend Welch Dentistry if you’re someone who values being involved in your own health decisions or prefers a provider who welcomes informed discussion instead of dismissing it. I will not be returning.

I have heard a lot of good things about Welch Dentistry and had to give them a try. I have to honestly say they did not disappoint. I have not had good dental experiences here in the Las Vegas area in the 20 years I’ve lived here, but Welch has restored my confidence in dentists. From check in with Amy, to time with the technician Ashley, the hygienist Lynette, Dr. Greg, to checkout with Lily, the entire experience was GREAT! I’m very happy I gave Welch Dentistry a try and feel I’ve found my forever dentist.

Amy front office - not a fan. Never coming back here again. Got some cosmetic work done out of country (on teeth that didn’t need work as I was saving necessary dental work for Welch’s office) I needed a bite adjustment and they refused me. Sorry if you’re my dentist how can you? Found a great office down the street that agreed to fix my bite for me. Bit down on a paper 3 times, bite was fixed in 60 seconds. Now I’m their established patient and already scheduled all dental treatment with them. Good riddance to this office. Especially Amy

I’ve been going to Welch Dentistry since they opened. Dr. Jonathan and the entire staff are awesome. They are so friendly and kind and make you feel so welcome special shout out to Lily for going over my insurance with me in detail in terms that I could understand. I really appreciated her concern

I want to give a huge shoutout to Jessica who is my dental hygienist at Welch Dentistry. I have been seeing her for the past two years and Jessica is a true professional!!! She is beyond knowledgable in her profession and makes me feel so welcomed every time I come in for my cleaning. She has also helped and guided me to improve my overall oral health. I also love how Jessica always makes sure to ask me about my upcoming travels and she too shares beautiful stories of her family with me. Jessica is simply the BEST HYGIENIST EVER🥰✨🫶🏻

This dental practice is amazing! After 8 plus years with this practice we were informed that they were no longer in network with our insurance. I called in January to cancel our appointments due to the insurance coverage issue. Lily asked me to give her a few days to try to resolve the issue. She went above and beyond to get our insurance provider (MetLife Federal) back in network with the practice and kept me informed every step of the way. Thanks to Lily's hard work, I was able to keep my appointment and the dentist practice we love. Thank you Welch Dentistry (especially Lily) for caring enough to ensure this retired military family can continue getting the quality care you provide. Many place say they care, but Welch Dentistry and their staff prove that they do. Thank you as well to Robin, the best hygienist in the whole world, I appreciate all you do!

Nice atmosphere. Kind and attentive staff. Wasn't seen until aprox 15 past appt time but, I wasnt in a hurry so it's not a big problem. Dentist listened to my issue and was quick to give me options for care. Will def return for future care as needed.

I love how clean and refreshing this office is. All of their technology is top notch! The staff is always so friendly and knowledgeable and inviting. The hygienists are all so sweet and gentle. The dentists are just as great. They always provide you all information and options.

Try Welch Dental, if you want, the best Dental care around. I went there years ago for the first time. But I tried another Dental office near green valley but left a bad taste in my mouth. So even though Welch Dental is 45 min. From me. I went back, great customer care, knowledgeable, versatile and most updated equipment. I appreciate that before any work is done, you can sign up for a Dental plan, lifetime 90$ paid for lifetime, which they waived for me even though it's been years, the program allows for trays, cleaning and 15% off your work etc. 27monthly which you can cancel without incident. I feel like I wasn't even in pain when I left and once medication wore off, still had minimal pain because my Dental was done with the utmost care and concerns of my needs, without being judged. If you want the best Dentist, go to WELCH DENTAL located at 10420 A Decatur. Worth the drive 🚗

Welch dentistry is the best! Their office staff is very friendly and helpful, especially Lilly. She works with my family’s crazy schedule getting us in. Their hygienist are phenomenal as well as their doctors. The waiting room and patient rooms are extremely clean. We are so happy we found them!

As expected, the dental work was very professional. The price I paid was reasonable. When I left, I said to the staff- that was so much fun. Since when do you expect to say that after dental work. But- the entire staff -from front desk, dental technicians & the dentist themselves were so friendly & their stories so entertaining & their procedures so painless that had I not had a mouthful of dental equipment, I would have been laughing or asking questions the whole time. I love this office❤️

Just went for my quarterly cleaning! I have been going to this practice for 20 years! I see Dr.Brad and dr. Greg, who are magic. Ive had everything done implant to porcelain veneers done with this practice. Everyone in the office is professional and understanding. If you are looking for a dentist, this is the practice in the area. Special shout out to Destiny!at the front desk. Always a beautiful smile and extremely helpful.

Horrible service. Had a crown put in 8 months ago. They process coverage via insurance and told us $1000 co pay. We paid and put the crown in. 8 months later crown came off eating soup ! They when we went back to have it fixed , we were told oh yah you owe us another $900 because ur insurance doesn’t cover crown !? When we asked why did they tell us we had a copay 8 months ago , they said “ front office people aren’t here anymore because they made a lot of mistakes” . Horrible ! Run ! Don’t walk away

In a world where most dentists/doctors don’t take the time to listen and address concerns, he goes above and beyond and does incredible work. So glad I found him. “I had the greatest experience at Welch Denistry” I would like to thank “Dr Brad my ANGEL😇”and his wonderful staff🙏🏽. I researched in my neighborhood for a 5 star dentist. I Contacted my insurance company to get approval. Once approved i called to schedule an appointment. I have always been extremely terrified of the sounds in a dentist office (such as drilling), as well as anticipating what I may have to get done since I had not been to a dentist in awhile due in part to going through Chemotherapy treatment (no dental treatment was allowed in my case) I was put to rest when I arrived and found the office was high tech YEA👏🏼.Dr Brad took the time to explain what was needed, and how to get the best care. The dental assistants patiently helped me to devise a plan to get information from my insurance company of my potential out of pocket cost eliminating any additional financial hardship. This is why I would highly recommend WElCH Denistry. Thank you so so much Dr Brad.😇

So I avoided the dentist for 7 years prior to my move to Vegas. Since I've been here which is only a year I've been here 5 times. 2 cleanings as you all should, some fillings and a tooth pull. I have enjoyed each visit. Everyone that works here is happy. Beyond friendly. I've met two of the dentists, brothers, so great. Amazing personalities and you can just tell they love what they do. Dentist can be scary but Welch Dentistry is not, it's amazing. If you can pick them you should, you won't be disappointed.
