Had a partial nephrectomy and my wounds were not healing. Saw 2 doctors and 2 urgent cares and non of the were able to tell me why my wounds were not healing. Went to WCE on eastern and saw Dr. Japa Volcok. He was the only one that knew exactly why my wounds were not healing. He pulled out chunks of the glue inside my wounds that did not dissolve. Within a few weeks my wounds were almost healed after I battled with them for months ( no I am not diabetic). Thank so much Dr. Volchok, for your valuable care and professionalism. If anyone reads this review, please go to this wound location and get healed. Thank you , thank you for healing me.

I had a very stubborn wound that took longer than it should have to heal, so my doctor sent me to this clinic. They handled it quickly. The staff is very professional and respectful of your time unlike many doctor’s offices where you wait for hours, I was in and out most of the time. Christina took great care of the wound, answered all my questions, and I’m truly grateful.

The young ladies at the front desk are welcoming and kind. This was the first time we've been here and we didn't have to wait long at all.
The doctor we saw was Dr. Heeren and we were very pleased with him. Dr. Heeren showed great bedside manner and a genuine concern for the patient. We felt very cared about and were highly satisfied with the care the doctor delivered: thorough and carefully executed. We are highly satisfied with the plan of care Dr. set up for us going forward. Ewe feel very thankful to be in this doctor's care

The MDs and several MAs in this practice were caring, concerned and reassuring. In my opinion whatever they get paid, it is not enough, as they have to treat various less than attractive anatomical parts of the human body with great professionalism.

What an incredible visit with Dr Maria Pesantez and the staff of WCE SPECIALTY. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with a smile and the front office staff went above and beyond to accommodate a very busy waiting room. Even opened up an adjoining waiting room for more seating. A longer wait was expected as we were new patients, but they kept us comfortable and assured we’d be helped shortly. Dr Pesantez was very knowledgeable and confirmed there needed to be some changes to our drug regimen, an issue our last so called doctor never addressed. Dr Pesantez took her time explaining how we would move forward with our healthcare and really made us feel that she cared for patients. Finally! A doctor in the business of healing and a true advocate for her patients. Please don’t ever change 🙏🏼

The endocrinologist was very nice and thorough and explained things very well. (Still not sure why MD kept asking what meds on even though my med list was in my file). She did not follow up with what she said she would do. Was to send labs and recommendations to my primary care MD and never did. Tried to tell me she did and then said my medical records are protected by HIPPA laws. HIPPA allows MDs to communicate with each other. Told me my PA was denied for meds I needed to go on (was on the phone with insurance 15 minutes before appointment who said they sent back a reply asking for three questions to be answered). So the PA was never denied. The PA information was incomplete by MD office. The office staff Never followed up on things they said they would do. Stated they never received PA forms after they were sent to them over five different times.. I left five different messages in a four week period of time and received only one response three days before my office visit. MD tried making excuses after I told her that I dropping her.

Had colon cancer surgery August 2024. Lower abdomen extremely red, irritated and very painful with stoma. No one told me I needed a wound care expert, but I knew I did.
I called, made an appt. Arlene and her staff have been wonderful in correcting a really bad wound. So thankful for them and highly recommend their services. Excellent!

The endocrinologist on staff is very good, very caring. She is very detailed and explains everything clearly. Unlike other providers, she spends time explaining the care.
The medical assistant is nice, answers questions in between appointments.
The staff at the front of the house is good as well, answers since questions for next appointments.
But here's the reason they get this rating- trying to get in contact with them. The person answering the phones is very rude and does not answer questions. I asked a question regarding lab work needed because I was at a lab trying to get them done. He provided no answer except if I had a referral. I had to reschedule appointments because I couldn't get clarifications.
Forget about trying to return a phone call you missed, you will either get a message to leave a message or you get that very helpful operator that tells you to leave a message and wait for a call back.
It is the back staff that really hurts practices like this and makes it feel like the office does not care. I don't appreciate the game of phone tag.

Honestly, everything went well. The wait time is as one would expect with any doctor or medical appointment. Though for us, it didn't feel like a long time. (For clarification we were in and out in roughly an hour an a half, but we got there a half hour early). Everyone was friendly and kind. I also enjoyed that there was someone that spoke both English and Spanish. The doctor was able to answer all of our questions earnestly in an easy/simple manner. Overall, I would recommend this place. Also, this may be out of topic but, I also enjoyed that they had a cooking channel on as we were waiting😁

There is no consistency in treatment. I treated myself better at home. There are new MA's every week. Recommendations always turn you back to some other specialist in it's practice. My ARNP for primary was in and out in 2-3 minutes.

I was treated by WCE for 5 weeks in a non-drug holistic manner.
My doctor, Yvonne Chueh tested my blood flow as the reason for my leg wound not healing. It was compression wrapped, went back once/week to rewrap and tadah, my wound is healed. Great experience, I would recommend to anyone having trouble.

I love it here. Don’t be late tho- they have that “gotta reschedule” rule if you are more that 5 min. The Med assistants are professional but fun. The Doc is great; gentle, personable and listens to questions. He like to repeat instructions on how to continue care at home so someone as forgetful as I am will remember his words. Never more than a 5 min wait to see Doc.
