Waiting for pretty long because kind of busy today, the receptionist was great, but the doctor N who cleaned my teeth was a bit unprofessional, he didn't wear the lead apron when doing the x-ray and didn't even care about the water dripping out of my mouth 😭 Been here for a while but kinda disappointed this time

Edited: I came with fine teeth and after the regular cleaning my front tooth filling got chipped? And they couldn't do anything else to fix it or I have to pay for crowd to fix the problem that I assumed it was their fault?
Plus another time I came to do that "filling tooth" then paid more than $100 with the insurance and only lasted for a month and started chipping the corner + the color is different than the rest. And had to fix it in my hometown 🙄 Smh

I’ve had quite a few crown experiences over the years, and this was by far the smoothest and most comfortable one yet. The dentist was so graceful and gentle—the time flew by, and I usually struggle to sit in the chair that long! The technician did a wonderful job finishing everything up, and the front staff was super friendly and incredibly patient with scheduling. I’ll definitely be coming back—and now I’m even sending my husband too!

I will be the first to say. I am petrified of the dentist! Probably from childhood bad experiences! Aloha Dental was a huge relief! I have several teeth that nees to be extracted! I have went to two other dentist in Las Vegas! On diffrent occasions! I felt like i was a kid again! Not great experiences! Wont mention names!

DR Neil was awesome! He has a fun up beat attitude! Made me less scared lol! The exrraction went better then I thought! Was dreading the needle to numb my tooth! I guess the first gel did good job barely felt the needle lol! Didnt ever feel the tooth being pulled! Man I didnt want to do it but when I get the rest pulled he is the doc that will do it!

The staff are awesome Aura the intake person is great to talk to and answered all my queations! Pardess the manager who also does the accounting was great! She made sure I ppaid what we agreed on and helped me looking at other financial ways to get what i need done! She was great! Pam who is a dental assistant was great she wasnt in the room for this paticular extraction but on other visits she was so nice and helpful!

A true shot out to Sal man that guy is a good reason why I Came in the first place! He is knowledgeable and really is hands on during extraction! He assisted Dr Neil and really made sure I was comfortable! He was very comforting for me when seriously i was scared explitive lol

Just saying you need dental work done Aloha dental is absolutely the only place i reccomend! I hope my future visits be the same lol I need alot work done 4 more teeth extracted a bridge and probably implants! If I got to spend the money I would rather spend it on a place that cares! This was probably one of my worst dental experiences in a long time. I’ve been a loyal customer for years, but today felt like I was being upsold on every procedure. Despite repeatedly declining, I was pushed back. I’ve booked my next appointment, but I’m still torn about whether to return. To add insult to injury, I felt like I took a shower while they cleaned my teeth my back was completely drenched.

I’ve been going to Aloha Dental for a few years now. Very friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere. I had to have a Crown done and I was very nervous because I’ve never had anything more than fillings done. Dr. Neil was so patient with me and all of my concerns & nerves. Our conversation really put me at ease. Pardeess at the front reception was more friendly & helpful than I ever expected. When my permanent Crown came in, she called me immediately so that I could get right in, instead of waiting until the next Monday. I am so grateful to her. But truly, I can’t say enough kind words about the Dental Assistant Sal. He is so professional and experienced and a true perfectionist. Star of the show for me. He made sure I didn’t leave without feeling 100% satisfied and comfortable with my new Crown. So patient with me. I wouldn’t hesitate recommending Aloha Dental to anyone. They are a class act and go above and beyond. Thank you all so much.

I was skeptical about finding a new dentist. When we walked in to Aloha Dental we were greeted with a smile. The staff here is truly living up to their name “Aloha” Dental. I thought for a minute I was at home on Maui. The staff explained everything on what they recommend to do and went above and beyond to help you find the most affordable way to do what needed to be done. So bummed to be writing this … I absolutely loved Dr Capener as a dentist and understand he sold the practice. Unfortunately, I was only told this when I called to confirm appointment times and was told they are not publicly sharing this information. It’s mind blowing that new owner hasn’t been forthcoming to patients regarding their dental care changes. Even Dr C’s information is still all over the office and website yet he’s no longer here.

I gave it a chance and still came in for a cleaning this week. I had a great experience with the hygienist and male doctor I saw, but bringing my kids in today was a DISASTER!

The new owner/dentist had 3 patients scheduled today for her and 2 assistants at the 3 pm slot causing appointments to run behind in excess of an hour. No notice provided at arrival to us or any of the others that showed up after us. That sat in the waiting room with us and after my kids were called back.

Once taken back, they took X-rays (which we were not due for them and I even spoke to them before the appointment as insurance won’t cover it but they wasted time doing them anyways). The “cleaning” took over an hour because half of it was waiting for her once the assistant polished teeth before a cleaning (the order of that makes no sense at all). When done, my son complained of her aggression and burning sensations (not using enough water with the ultrasonic scaler) and he was in pain after cleaning. I understand they’ve reduced the availability of the hygienists here as well and it makes me sad for them as well has makes no sense as one person cannot work on 3 people at the same time nor should they be short cutting dental care to do it all themselves.

Unfortunately, I will be taking my kids elsewhere as there are too many other options in Vegas with better business practices and chair side manners to allow this. It’s a shame as Dr Capener built a wonderful brand and practice for this to happen. If you do choose to come here make sure your appointment is with an actual hygienist and the male doctor only!!

Best Decision I’ve made going with Aloha Dental! The location is easy to navigate to and I’ve never had problems with parking. A friend referred me to this office after I moved from out of state. The staff have been kind, compassionate, and fun. I have anxiety with dental work and they’ve done a great job of going at my pace, making sure I’m okay, and helping me breathe through my appointments. I have had a deep cleaning, a crown replaced, a gap in my lower teeth improved, and veneers on two crooked teeth on the top. The people you meet when you walk in are funny and straight forward. It went by so fast because of how pleasant it was. The Dr. came in after the exam, asked what my budget was, and gave me some options. There was no pitch of services to try and upsel me. This isn’t something I thought I’d ever say, but I had a root canal done today & it was the most pleasant experience I’ve ever had with a dentist and their staff. I was already in pain, so it was nice that I didn’t have to endure more pain during the procedure. The bedside manner of Dr. Capener and everyone else involved was exemplary. I was accepted as an emergency walk in with no delays. They were able to help me even though they had scheduled appointments in for dental work as well. Being a retired hockey player from MN I've worn dentures for a long time. My 18 years old upper denture cracked. I went here and was told that my insurance would provide a new set at no out of pocket cost. Sounded good. When the new dentures were about 6 months old the upper broke. They said that they will reinforce it but did not offer to reinforce the bottom. A few months later the bottom broke.
I noticed that my old ones had my name on it. After some checking I found out that it's required by law to put identification on dentures.
They had 3 separate times to notice it wasn't there. So now I will have to go through a third day without teeth to have identification put on.
Between sending me home with extremely poor quality dentures, they didn't bother to follow the law.
I recommend finding another dental office

It took me some time to find a dental office that used my new insurance, but then I stumbled across Aloha Dental. From the minute I entered the office and was greeted by the ladies behind the desk, I felt at home. Every time I entered, they call me by my name. Once in the dental chair, I met Oscar. He is a man of all trades, handling a great variety of jobs with a big smile. Dr Davis obviously knows what he is doing and was very gentle while checking my X-rays and filling my cavity. My husband and I have been patients of Aloha Dental for a couple of years now. We are very happy with them: Jen the hygienist is AMAZING. We absolutely love her!!! Dr. Davis is FABULOUS!!! He has such great bedside manners, so soft spoken and gentle. Erica, Dr. Davis assistant, is so sweet and helpful. He fixed my old filings on my front teeth amazingly. Liz the office manager gave us the information we needed with what the insurance covers and the fees. She knows her business.

I don’t have any issues with the providers or the dental hygienists. The care provided was fine. The reason I don’t plan to return is because of continuous billing issues with this place and the fact that they have multiple times said someone will call me back and they never do. They sent me a bill for a simple cleaning 3 months in a row and I confirmed with my insurance company that they never received a claim. After they finally did bill my insurance they still sent me a bill for 25$ which I paid, after speaking with my insurance company I realized the office charged me for a service that was covered by my insurance. I called them regarding this and was told someone would call back, never did and then I left a voicemail and still heard nothing back. They treated me 1000% better when I was a cash pay patient and they have flipped the script since I finally got insurance. That’s poor business. I’ll be going elsewhere in the future to avoid the headache.

They lied to my mom and told her that her bill would be covered by her insurance, then stuck her with the bill. A senior citizen on a fixed income. One would think a dental office should know what is covered and what is not. Took me a few minutes to see that certain dental codes were not covered, and I don't even work in the dental field!!! They Promised her that they are doing dental work covered by her insurance only to find out that None of it is covered. Really words in this review can not explain how amazing my experience at Aloha Dental was today. From the moment I walked in the front office staff was smiling, polite, and as always right on time as I was called back by a dental assistant in minutes. Dr. Capener came in and sat right down with me and the first thing he asks is “How are you doing today Christina?” This is his friendly, compassionate, trustworthy personality that I have come to see over this past year. Background on me is that I am not the easiest patient to be in a dental chair. I have extremely sensitive teeth and Dr. Capener is the first dentist who not only has technique and skill to make sure I am comfortable, I experience no pain at all with my procedures. Personnel were on time on the appointment and once you’re in examination room, my dental assistant, Jan explained the plan for the visit. The whole process of X-ray, cleaning, final examination and scheduling for the next appointment took just about an hour. Very efficient!! I love Dr. Capener and all of the Aloha Dental staff I have interacted with.
I have had previous traumatic experiences at other dentists and their staff was so understanding and helpful.
Both hygienists I’ve have take extra care, attention to detail and extremely gentle to make sure I was comfortable. We found this place because my husband had a lot of pain in a tooth last year. They saw him for the first time and performed a root canal the same day. This took care of the pain. I was a huge fan of this dental office. The techs are amazing, the front desk service is amazing, the dentist actually care. However the way they handle their invoicing and billing has got me super upset. If you are having a procedure they will quote the procedure but they will not ask if you agree to test they randomly run without telling you the cost of it. They will not add all the extra charges to that quote and you are surprised at the end with a much larger bill than you are expecting. I really believe that they have become a factory of procedures and they care more about the billing than they do about people. Be my guest to try but beware and ask for a full statement before you do anything.

I've already told a bunch of people when you go to Aloha Dental on S Durango in Vegas, you feel like they are genuinely glad to help you with whatever dental situation you are dealing with in the kindest way..I couldn't get my husband to go to the dentist until things got really bad and the staff all the way from the answering of the phone, to the reception at the front desk, Ms Erin the office manager, and through the entire process of getting his 3 broken teeth pulled(did I mention they got him in the very next day) was the most comfortable office visit we've ever had. Needless to say I am now also a patient, have told many people to go to them, my girlfriend is now a patient as well. We'll be happy to drive the hour and 15 minutes to go there. I was referred by my husband to go get dental work at Aloha Dental. My experience as soon as I walked through the door was great. I was greeted with a smile from the receptionist. I was called to the back within 15 minutes. I was called back by a dental assistant that was nice and LISTENED. Dr. Christopher D. Capener, DDS has a gental spirit that calmed me down, bc I am a person that is uncomfortable being in care of Doctors and/or Dentist. He gets to know his patients and did not rush through the precedure. He has a steady yet gental touch. I will continue to be proactive and go to all routine check-ups. It was my first time going to Aloha Dental . I give the staff and included the Dentist 5 stars .The nicest staff I've ever come across with. I don't have any negative saying about them or the dentist. But to my surprised, I had a horrible experience with the guy who did the cleaning on me. First, he let the water run into my mouth, and not even once let me suck the water. I felt so chock up, and I did not have a choice but closed my mouth and did it myself so I won't chock. I have to keep on doing that on my own. Second, he constantly telling me to turn this way turn the other way, chin down, chin up, turn side way , closed my mouth, opened my mouth, and he make my whole body so uncomfortable just because he only care about himself being comfortable . He would skipped the areas he was supposed to work on every time he asked me to move. Finally, he didn't even care to check on my teeth to see if they needed further work on. He just floss my teeth and didn't used water to rise my mouth. He then polished my teeth and use mouth wash to hoping it
would clean all the assets from the polish in my mouth. But noooo!! I felt the roughness in my mouth I have to asked him to floss my teeth again . They were all stuck between my teeth .

I been coming to this office with Dr Capener since 2021. The staff is so nice and they always try to accommodate you in the schedule. . All the assistants are great and they know what they doing.
Doctor Chris is the best definitely. I was always so scared of dentists, but with him it is totally different. He makes you feel 100% comfortable, he talks to you about everything he is doing and he is super gentle! I don’t remember feeling pain. Andmy smile looks so nice now. I’m finally taking care of my mouth without being scared.

The Customer service that my wife and I received from aloha dental, was unbelievably friendly and affectionate. The work from the hygienist & Dr. Trexton was honest and extremely well done.
The best dental office I have been to so far and I’ve been in many but this one will be my main one since they gave me all the reasons to make Dr.Travis my primary dentist with his work. If you thinking about going here don’t over think it and go, promise you won’t regret it!!
They’re Incredible and very rare friendly & caring people to find!!
