I have been coming to Dr. Hansen for a few year now. Very pleasant and down to earth. I have never had any issues with him or the staff. I have always been treated with respect. Dr. Averett did my toe surgery and not only did he lie and say it wouldn’t hurt when it was the most painful thing I’ve experienced but he also made my toe worse. I should’ve never done the surgery. He has no idea what he’s doing .. it’s been over a year now and my toe hurts all the time and bothers me . Im a cocktail waitress and server and I also train at the gym 6 days a week .. I have to do all of this while being uncomfortable thanks to this doctor. While he was doing my surgery which I was awake for I cursed because I was in pain and he got offended and told me not to say that 😂.. this human is ridiculous I am so upset and hope he never performs surgery on anyone ever again . Please go find a new job this isn’t for you bud..

I am not giving a review of the actual doctor because I was not able to see the doctor due to not having insurance they cover. This review is for the woman I was on the phone with, the receptionist. I told her "before I make an appointment I just need to know if you guys take my insurance" I have Medicaid Molina. She said they don't cover any Medicaid insurance (which I understand completely, not mad about that) but I could still see them and would have to pay out of pocket. (Well I can't work, why do you think I need to see a Podiatrist). Once I say "oh I don't work so I wouldn't be able to pay out of pocket, but thank you!" She says "okay" in a really nasty tone. Maybe I shouldn't be upset by this but I already feel horrible for not being able to work because I have issues with my foot. That just made me feel worse. So thanks.

Can’t say that I loved my visits with this doctor. I had a procedure done in office and here was my experience:

- While sitting in the waiting room, another patient left because they were running so late. She was very upset.
- They ran very late to see me that day, about 45 minutes I waited in the waiting room.
- The nursing staff isn’t the warmest, friendliest seeming bunch either. I usually don’t fault places for this too much, it’s not like I’m super nervous about my health and well-being and the pain I’m in when I visit a Dr’s office or anything, and since they don’t give customer satisfaction surveys, there’s honestly no good reason to give good customer service.
- It was very obvious that Dr. Hansen was training nearly his entire staff that day. It honestly made me so nervous. Between him running late and being so preoccupied with the development of his staff, I was increasingly worried it was the perfect storm for a mistake to happen.
- At one point towards the end of my procedure, Dr. Hansen mentioned to his staff as he was explaining things that he “probably didn’t need to take that much nail off”. I am convinced this little oopsie has dramatically increased my recovery time.
- The way he bandaged my toe was so embarrassing and sloppy. It was as good of a job as a 2nd grader could have done. Loose, tape everywhere. When I went home and re-did everything myself neat and tight, I really asked “was that so hard?”
- Dr. Hansen severely misrepresented the recovery time on this procedure for me, saying I could resume normal activity the very next day. 6 hours after the procedure my toe was still bleeding pretty heavily, and I didn’t feel comfortable resuming work and workouts the next day as the Dr. represented that I could. I was only feeling confident enough to complete a light workout as of about 10 days after the procedure.
- He sent me home with like, 8 amoxicillin in a ZIPLOCK BAGGIE. A ZIPLOCK BAGGIE.
- He also seems very forgetful. I kept having to remind him to answer other questions I had related to pain and suffering I’m experiencing. Asked about orthotics which was never re-addressed.
- Lastly, and this really was the last straw for me, Dr. Hansen tried to double-bill me. He charged me $200 up front in office (I am learning to never pay and instead insist they bill insurance), and then billed my insurance for the procedure. I only figured this out by checking my insurance statement, which say I should have only owed my $35 co-pay out of pocket. And when confronted, their solution is to wait 7 business days for insurance to come through, then call them again. It’s not like they could, you know, refund me. This is such a predatory practice to vulnerable patients. How disappointing. Wasting my time. I will never return. And I recommend you don’t book with Dr. Hansen either.

I had the worst ingrown nail I’ve ever experienced in my life and for three days I was having trouble walking. I called other places and they had no appointments until the following week, I called here 20 minutes before closing and they had me come in next day 9am. The process was quick and with some numbing stuff Dr. was able to remove my ingrown from both big toes and I was out of there within an hour 15 minutes. Very nice and friendly and super helpful!! 10/10

Fantastic doctor! He was able to see me within 2 hours of my call! He was really knowledgeable and seemed like he cared and the staff were all very courteous. I was concerned about costs being uninsured but trust me they are very reasonable. If you have a foot or ankle injury I would highly recommend these folks - don't go to a walk-in when you can get an expert!

I enjoyed Dr Hansen and his staff. No line wait times hardly. Small office. Dr preformed a small in office procedure in my feet. One needing stitches. Pricing is affordable for self pay patients. Way less then I was quoted back home in Texas. I waited to write this review for a while to see how my issue was resolved and I feel great. Funny how you get used to pain and don’t realize how much extra strain walking causes. Problem fixed. Walking straight and feel great.

I have been coming here since October of 2021 and my ankle still hurts and is still swollen. I don't feel like I have gotten the care I deserve. The doctor stays in my room 3-4 min tops hasn't done his due diligence to make sure my ankle has even heald properly. I thought I would be in good hands based on the the other reviews and his 20 plus years of experience, but I have gotten the total opposite. If you are BLACK DO NOT COME TO THIS DOCTOR!!!! He didn't explain anything, I got more information from utube then I did from him!

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Hansen. Approximately a year ago, I had an ingrown toenail procedure in Houston, Texas. My right big toe healed, and I thought that would be the end of it. However, I did notice some slight pain on the right side of my toe that remained. Fast forward a year later, I live in Las Vegas, and my right big toe is infected. I went to Dr. Hansen, and he prescribed an antibiotic and cleaned out the infection. About three weeks later, the condition remained, so Dr. Hanson did a procedure where he went down to the bone to get the infection and stitched up my toe.

Finally, it worked! My infection is completely gone, and I have zero pain in my toe. I presume after my initial ingrown toenail procedure, it didn't heal properly, and some bacteria must have been growing in my toe over the previous year.
Dr. Hansen was responsive when I contacted him post-procedure; he has a pleasant attitude, friendly staff, and most importantly, my nagging infection is a distant memory! I highly recommend this doctor’s office for your podiatry needs.

Dr. Hansen by far goes above and beyond for his patients. The care that my mother has received from him was outstanding. My mom was in tremendous pain a couple days after her operation. Dr Hansen met up with us at his office way beyond office hours to make sure she was ok. Did a X-ray gave her some anesthetic and made sure everything was great. Thank you so much Dr. Hansen for the quality care as a physician. Highly recommend. Such a pleasure to have found such a great doctor.

I came to Las Vegas with my family right before covid started (in early March 2020). I had a really terrible ingrown toenail and I was in excruciating pain. I thought I could wait until I got home but it got a lot worse. So I looked up ingrown toenail removed but almost all places were expensive or you needed an appointment. I finally found this place. I walked in and they were so friendly they made me, a stranger, feel like a family friend. I was so nervous and scared but they were so nice and understanding. The doctor explained everything amazingly and was very friendly. He was funny and distracted me from my pain when they numbed me. It was a quick procedure and he told me what to do for aftercare and I did exactly that. About a week later after I had gone home he called me to check up and see how I was doing! It was so thoughtful and sweet and I highly highly recommend them.

I have visited 3 podiatrists over the last 19 years in Las Vegas. I wasn't completely satisfied with them. But thankfully I found Dr Loren Hansen . Let's just say he is marvelous . He treated my foot . Explained the problem in a clear and concise manner. You know right away that Dr Hansen is deeply experienced.
His staff, from the reception coordinator to the nurses are efficient, courteous and professional.
I highly recommend Dr Hansen for feet problems.

I was having issues with an in grown nail that I thought I could resolve on my own. It came to the point where the pain was unbearable.
