Very well organized reception area and I was greeted immediately! Paperwork was provided for me to complete and wait for the examination to begin! The preliminary examination was completed by the assistant quickly! Then I waited about 2 minutes and the doctor began the examination! The staff was amazing from check in to checking out. I needed an eye exam for my yearly prescription and I saw Doctor Kimberly Shiraishi, she was very caring and informative. I hope that when I go next year for my yearly exam, the same doctor is still in this office. It is very disappointing to see doctors come and go, it’s nice to develop a report with one doctor and stay with them throughout the years to come. I had a very positive experience, they were training a new employee and I think the trainer should have announced that the person was being trained so that it didn’t come across as a very harsh co-worker bossing the other one around. So dealing with a trainee, took double the time an eye exam would have taken.

Usually when I go to see a doctor, I want to get out of there as soon as possible, but I left wanting to come back and hang out with everyone who worked there. THEY ARE ALL SO KIND!! The doctor is very thorough and sincere. You can tell she is passionate about her job and helping those that come in. Most doctors will just give you a diagnosis and send you on your way. Dr. Kiernan took time to explain the different parts of the eye, how it affects vision and reviewed my own images with me. She was so kind. I cannot emphasize that enough.

Lisa was wonderful. She let me try on 50 different glasses and encouraged me to keep looking as much as I wanted. She even showed me the tool she uses and how it allows her to see the eye placement for glasses. It was very cool to be able to see how everything works. Her taking the time to show me that shows me that I am not just a customer, but someone she cares about.

I did not get the name of the person who did all of the initial tests, but she was just as kind. She was friendly and patient.

It's so unusual to have a positive experience leaving the doctor's office that I had to write a review. Thank you so much to everyone who helped me that day. I can honestly say I look forward to seeing you all again!

Omg…..this place is crawling with sincere love and personal attention!! Everyone in the office will have you walking out with a smile!!! Especially the young lady assisting the doctor!! I have been with Dr. Kiernan for many years; in the past, I even went Out of Network for my office visits, not only because of the care I receive but because I don't have to worry about being pressured to purchase glasses or lenses from the office. I like that Dr. Kiernan listens to what I feel is important to me especially in the area of my monovision contact lenses, and I am kept up to date regarding cataracts & drooping eyelids, and whatever else is important to my eye health. I have been going to Dr. Kiernan's office for many years. She and her staff have been taking amazing care of myself and my two daughters since around 2011-2012. We have never had less than the most absolutely wonderful treatment and care from her and all of her staff. No exaggeration, never has one of her staff ever been unpleasant or unfriendly in any way! My eyeglass maker strongly recommended that my next optometry exam should be with Dr. Cynthia Kiernan OD who she described as the most thorough optometrist she had ever worked with. So, I took my optician's advice. Yesterday I had what I feel is the most thorough optometry exam I've ever had. Dr. Kiernan spent a good thirty minutes with me, examining my close up and far vision until she felt she had the best prescriptive recommendations for me. She explained everyrthing she was doing, showed me photos of my eyes, which fortunately were very healthy but for a floater in each eye. Dr. Kiernan also recommended that I get a pair of bifocals for computer work and the vast amount of reading and writing I do, currently with blurred vision, making my job very frustrating. I will also have an updated script on my progressive glasses due to significant vision changes in my left eye.
Dr. Kiernan also referred me to my opthalmologist to determine whether I may have a tiny amount of scar tissue in my right eye following cataract surgery. As I said, Dr. Kiernan was thorough and left no stone unturned, which I greatly appreciate. As a clinical psychologist who tests personality characteristics, Dr. Kiernan impressed me with her love for her profession, her energy, self-confidence and outgoing nature.
Also, Dr. Kiernan's staff was respectful, on the ball and easy to work with. My appointment was on time, too! I'm sending my wife to see Dr. Kiernan.

This place is great! You can always get an appointment within a reasonable amount of time and they do a thorough job of examining your eyes. They have the retina photography machine here, so you don't have to have your eyes dilated. They also take cash patients without insurance.

Came here for an eye exam for contacts. It's my first time getting contact lenses and Dr. Shiraishi was great. She was super friendly and made the whole experience painless and quick. I talked to her about my needs and got recommended lenses that fit my lifestyle. I tried on some lenses and told her I would probably be buying mine from Sam's club since they have Acuvue Moist lenses for very cheap. She sent me home with free trials of Acuvue and Precision 1 to see which ones I liked better. All in all, definitely recommend this place!

This past Saturday, 7/16/22, we had a delightful eye exam visit at the Office of Dr. Cynthia Kiernan & Associates, 2310 E Serene Ave (#1), Las Vegas, NV 89123. Our appointment was with Dr. Kimberly Shiraishi (Dr." S"), and since this was my 12-year-old Daughter's first comprehensive eye examination, we were both a little nervous. New glasses I ordered simply weren't right, but my first complaint to the optometrist was unsatisfactory. He checked the lenses but never looked at the glasses on my face. Dr. Kiernan checked the prescription, determined that something was wrong with the way the glasses sat on my face, referred me to "her" optometrist who found that the lenses were too high in the frame.
