My wife and I have been part of the practice for real years and hav been very pleased with Dr. Handelman and his staff. Everyone is professional, caring, personable and responsive, with excellent follow-up. Dr. Handelman will contact you even if you call with an issue after office hours and prescribe a course of action. We appreciate being seen at the time of our scheduled appointment and not having to wait in a crowded office with other patients. Had a really bad experience with the office manager Wayne. He called me and offered a new patient appointment next day. I asked him if it was possible to find any other day, since I had a commitment on the the day he offered. I also asked him if that would be a Meet and Greet appointment. Based on these two things, he told me that I would not be a match for Dr. Handelman and he did not want me to be doctor's patient. I felt like Wayne seriously enjoyed his power to dismiss me. at this point I am even glad that I would not be a patient there, since it looked like in this office the treatment is controlled not by the doctor, but his office manager Wayne.

Finding doctors who care and are willing to spend the time to provide the care needed is tough. However, I have found Dr. Handelman is this kind of doctor. Yes, one does pay for this level of service, no thanks to the little time they are allocated based on insurance requirements, but it is worth it. I like doctors that listen, look, and feel during an office visit. I am not the expert, and how they can determine the issue without doing those three things is a puzzle. Dr. Handelman is the kind of doctor that checks off all three boxes. He cares, and so does his staff.

I have to say that my experience with this office was terrible and I didn’t even got to speak with the doctor ! I called multiple times to inquire about having Dr. Handelman as my MDVIP doctor and I was told that this guy Wayne will call me back … it took almost 3 months and me calling multiple times to finally get a call from him and to tell me the doctor is not taking new patients? How bad is that ? But that fine because at this point I’m not going to spend a penny on people that don’t care to at least return a call and tell me that sooner so I can look for something else ! You are getting this type of service so you have someone that cares for you better ! That shows that this is a careless disorganized office ! Maybe the doctor is a good doctor and I’m sorry but he needs to get a better coordinator !

DO NOT PUT YOUR LIFE IN THE HANDS OF A SO-CALLED CONCIERGE DOCTOR SERVICE THAT DOES NOT HAVE THE ABILITY TO GET CARE FOR THEIR PATIENTS AND IN A TIMELY MANNER. I will stay away and I suggest you do as well. I am very upset at the services of Dr. Burke and Staff. I pay money to get the care and concierge that I really need and these services just doesn't reflect from what they told me in the beginning. I was diagnosed with malignant melanoma in which I thought I will be in great hands with MDVIP staff and Dr. Burke. But I did not receive the care I was expecting in which I had to call another Dermatologist doctor to check me in. If you call for any kind of care and services also expect to receive the response "Just go to the Emergency Room, when don't do that kind of care, we're wellness doctors not concierge"

I love Dr. Handelman. He endevours to know his patients in depth. He spends an enormous period of time getting to know you and is able to treat you with more than the superficial knowledge most docs have of their patients. All of our encounters have been interesting, helpful and, frankly, enjoyable. I’ll never switch.

I was diagnosed with shingles July 2018. The pain was intense and at times hard to bear for six weeks or more. Dr. Handelman was there for me on the telephone after hours on several occasions as well as in the office regarding different medications. There were evenings when I needed to call him more than once. I am now living with post herpetic neuralgia and Dr. Handelman continues to be there for me. He has always gone above and beyond whenever I've needed his help and answers my messages promptly on the patient portal. In addition, I can't say enough about his staff.
