Excellent surgery & results. Afterwards recommend to purchase knee brace. Told by technician who took measurements, ordered, adjusted and delivered brace that if I did not like it, I could return it within 45 days for a refund. 22 days after receiving it I went to return it. They produced an agreement, I signed, but did not read. It said I had 25 days after measurements were taken, or no refund. It was probably several weeks after the measurements were taken until I received it. So instead of 45 days, I probably had about 10 days. Dr Thomas is an excellent doctor. I was shocked at the deceit used in selling me this $1,200 brace. I will read every word of any paper put before me in the future. I definitely will not rely on what I am verbally told.

Horrible doctor. I went in with pain in my shoulder. I had 3 tears in my rotator cuff. I had surgery with Dr. Thomas and I still have terrible pain and limited range of motion. Before I had pain but at least I had range of motion. Don't let him near you. Also the physical therapy they provide is horrible. The warm packs they put on you smell and they give you exercises and then leave to go to another patient.

I had a eerily similar experience as someone 5 years ago posted here. I had an MRI done for knee pain from a previous doctor and after he reviewed the MRI report that said "small meniscus tear" he looked through the images and said he didn't see anything and that therapy was the best way forward. After a few more months of knee pain I went to see Dr. Thomas as a second opinion. He looked only at the report and said there was a meniscus tear and we should schedule surgery for the next week. I tried to discuss how the previous doctor had actually looked at the MRI scans and didn't see anything and he adamantly just pointed at the report that said "it says right here tear!" He implied I was essentially putting my long term knee health at risk by even walking around and not getting it fixed. Describing all my pain that seemed to not be anywhere close to my meniscus and asked for an explanation he just kept repeating that it was because compensation. He gave me the strong feeling I was wasting his time by asking clarifying questions and even being there.

Thankfully I decided this was unsatisfactory and went to Dr Michael Miao for an additional opinion and he agreed with the first doctor but ordered an MRI with contrast to confirm. Low and behold I have no tear and am on track to full recovery through therapy. Thankfully I did not follow Dr. Thomas's advice and get an unnecessary surgery. Could not recommend Dr Michael Miao more though, he listened and was attentive and answered all the questions I had .

I had a full extension tear of my right shoulder in 2017. Absolutely the best one stop shop in Vegas. I had a 2 inch tear on my left shoulder in 2022. Let's just say that I've been playing some pretty good golf after that last surgery

Doctor Thomas and his team performed a total knee replacement surgery on my right knee. Tomorrow, November 15, 2022, marks eight weeks since the surgery was performed and I am amazed at results/progress of the knee replacement. I started walking without the use of a walker, crutches, or cane the second day following the surgery. At eight weeks I have very little to no pain and am walking normally. The knee replacement feels great! In my opinion, all that is left for a full recovery is continuing to strengthen the muscles around the knee joint.

My great experience with my knee replacement was no surprise to me. In fact, I have come to expect this excellent work from Dr. Thomas. I have led a very active and strenuous life style my whole life. Unfortunately, my very thin and bowed legs were bound to have problems with my life style. Dr. Thomas has taken care of my fragile knees since the early 1990's. He has performed multiple surgeries on both knees. After each surgery, of course Dr. Thomas would strongly advise me the change my strenuous life style...I didn't listen to his wise counsel which led to my recent total knee replacement. Next year, Dr. Thomas will perform surgery on my right shoulder and right clavicle.

Based on my long association with Dr. Thomas, if you have problems with your knees and/or shoulders, I would highly recommend Dr. Steven Thomas!

Dr. Thomas and staff are top shelf in my book. I had a knee injury a few weeks ago and was able to be seen immediately, for which I was extremely grateful. Dr. Thomas, the MRI and PT is all in one place so there’s no running around all over town; everything is super convenient. Love these guys and would highly recommend them to anyone.

My actual surgery was wonderful and I healed easily and fast. The office staff was great, but Dr. Thomas himself was somewhat dismissive and I didn't feel like he listened well to me. He nearly left the room at my surgical consult without answering any questions, and he repeatedly got the date of my injury wrong by years. Also I had to wait in the waiting room for just over an hour for my followup appt and no one acknowledged it.

The worse, most rudest Ortho Surgeon in town! He yelled at me and was so Nasty, that I just got up and walked out..even leaving my Knee X-ray films that I had paid for. He didn't even have the courtesy to call me about sending them back to me? (You've been warned!!)

Dr. Thomas did my first TKR on my left April 2021 and in September 2021 he did my right TKR both surgery were a total success. Recovery time I believe is different for each patient!, for me recovery time was only about 5 to 6 month for both TKR . And now that I have diligently work toward my recovery I can walk 5 miles lift 40 pounds in leg lift "100" times and ride my stationary bike for 3 miles. Now I'm sure I will continue to improve in this new year of 2023 .

I visited Dr. Thomas because of a sudden onset of extreme pain in my right knee.
I had been power walking 2-3 miles a day which came to an abrupt halt as suddenly I had difficulty even walking the dog.
Dr. Thomas sent me for an MRI and an x-ray and gave me his diagnosis.
He recommended immediate surgery to repair a torn meniscus which he says was the cause of the pain.
I decided to seek a second opinion and went to see Dr. Michael Miao bringing with me the original MRI and x-ray.
After examining me and reviewing the MRI and x-ray Dr. Miao said I did not need surgery and in fact surgery would not correct the problem.
He said I did have a small tear in the meniscus but that was not the cause of the pain.
He said that the muscles in my leg had atrophied and caused the knee to shift which was causing all the pain.
When I asked how that can be with all the walking I do he said there are different muscles involved.
Dr. Miao recommend rehabilitation to strengthen the muscles in my leg which sounded a lot better than surgery and it was.
After about 3 months of leg strengthening exercises the pain is completely gone and I am back to my normal routine.
In my opinion Dr. Thomas recommended surgery as surgery pays a lot more than sending a patient for rehab.
I am a 73 year old healthy male who has never had surgery and thanks Dr. Miao I cans still make that claim.
Advice: Get a second or even a third opinion

I am now 77.
Thanks to Dr. Miao I never had an operation and my knee is as good as new.
I power walk several times a week, play ball and hike without knee pain, thank G-D.

Dr Thomas recommended knee arthroscopy. March 10th had surgery. Wrong diagnosis. I had surgery, however, after 3 months my knee is worse than b4 surgery. I asked for cortisone shot, dr. Thomas said we do not do that anymore. Went for 2nd opinion. Told I had bone on bone and dr. Should NOT have done arthroscopy. Surgery will not fix bone on bone.
Received cortisone shot from 2nd dr. Finally relief from pain. Dr. Thomas said I had meniscus tear. Never mentioned bone on bone. Be careful when you agree to surgery...get a second opinion b4 you have surgery.

The clinic is a surgery mill. I went in for shoulder pain and after an MRI he recommended surgery, not PT to see if the issues could be corrected but surgery immediately. Still painful, no change at all. My understanding is that he completes 20-30 procedures on the days he operates. Does that sound at all like he is spending any time whatsoever with his patients???? he spends more time talking about the boat he owns than he does with the people he hoodwinks into having surgery. Shameful

Horrible post op. If you plan on using an outside physical therapist he will not offer post op. Had two post op appointments. Waited 1 1/2 hours after appointment time and finally walked out. Asked for referrals and they won't issue one. Now they just hang-up on my phone calls. Post op is important. They just don't care. If you don't use their therapy center they won't have anything to do with you.

I was charged $947 a week prior to surgery. Then 4 months later I found out my insurance paid for the surgery in full. I've contacted this office every 2 week (as suggested) for 6 weeks each time they said the office maanger has not yet approved the check to be sent out. Now I'm filing to take them to court. Pay up front and get ripped off. They will never tell you if your insurance paid and will do everything they can to keep your money. Buyer beware.

Very friendly and efficient staff. Dr Thomas came in and requested other testing. He wasn't with me that long but it was long enough. I like the fact that after having the tests he will contact me via phone saving me a trip to his office. I would definitely recommend him.

The doctor's office failed to send my grandmother's prescription to her pharmacy following her surgery. I had to call the doctor's office to get them to "resend" it, after which WalMart immediately had record of the prescription. This is plainly negligent in my opinion, would not recommend.

Stem cells were put in a very bad left knee which half of it was bone and bone with the bone ship in it difficult to walk but hoping that in the next 9 months from the surgery in April that the stem cells will do the trick and no further surgery will be needed very caring staff and doctor and love the rehab department
