I just started seeing Dr Barnes and the few encounters I’ve had with him have been eye opening. He sits and listens doesn’t judge you and takes the time to see you. He goes through your medical history piece by piece. I never felt rushed or hurried out of the door as I have felt with other doctors. I never felt “doctored” by him and he brings himself to your level and explains things in ways I can understand. I know that I will be well taken care of in his care.

Dr. Barnes is the most thorough and attentive professional I could have chosen to be my primary care provider. Not sure how anyone can have a bad thing to say about him. Finding him as my doctor because my insurance changed is the best thing that could have happened.

Finally found a Doctor we can trust to care more about our health than our wallets! My husband and I have lived in Las Vegas for almost 9 years. In the first 6 years we went through 3 Primary Care Doctors that were all horrible, then we met Dr. Barnes and his staff ( Heather is great too!)
We have been going to Dr. Barnes for almost 3 years now, he is an amazing Doctor.
He takes the time to get to know you. I never feel rushed or like I'm bothering him.
Second, he explains everything to you so that you understand.He is pretty straightforward with you and what you are going to need.
He also doesn't just jump to medications, he will use them (obviously) as necessary, but he will also explore other ways to heal you.
He has truly helped me take the steps to become healthier and happier. It's still a long hard road, but it is so much easier when you have a great team that you can trust to help you.

I'm currently being treated by Dr. Barnes for osteoarthritis in my knee and ankle, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. From start to finish, Dr. Barnes demonstrates a level of care, technique, and dedication that is truly remarkable.

As a member of UNLV Sports Medicine, Dr. Barnes has a wealth of experience working with athletes, but I can confidently say as a non-athlete and a senior that he is just as skilled and caring when treating non-athletes. Dr. Barnes has performed an outpatient procedure on my ankle, a steriod injection on my knee, and currently undergoing PRP treatment on my knee and ankle, all of which is improving my quality of life without major surgery. His technique is impeccable, and it is clear that he has true passion for his work. He takes the time to explain every step of the procedure, making sure I am comfortable and informed.

He is always on time for his appointments and I never feel I am going to spend time waiting for him to see me, which I greatly appreciate. I had one appointment canceled and the front office promptly rescheduled it. His front office are very attentive and his nurses are very caring and knowledgeable. His group at UNLV Sports Medicine are a great team and they have gone out of their way to ensure I have top quality care through my ankle and knee mobility challenges.

Dr. Barnes genuine concern for his patients is evident in the way he practices medicine. He listens to my concerns, answers all my questions, is very personable and friendly. Thanks to him, my ankle and knee issues are appropriately attended to and I am confident I'm on the right path for great results and recovery.

I highly recommend Dr. Glenn Barnes for anyone in need of orthopedic consultations or treatment. Whether you are an athlete or not, you can trust you are in excellent hands with Dr. Barnes. He will get you on the right track in your treatment and will refer you to the right person whether it be physical therapy, surgery, or other further treatments when needed.

Dr. Barnes is awesome! He’s super friendly, really knowledgeable, and thoroughly explains both the diagnosis as well as his rationale for the treatment plan (labs, diet, medications, etc). He’s a teaching physician so it makes total sense that he’d be great at explaining things!

The first time I saw him, I came in for 1 main problem and casually mentioned ~4 other minor problems, and he still took the time to evaluate and discuss every single problem. I’ve seen Dr. Barnes multiple times since then, and his level of care consistently stayed just as high!

I've seen Dr. Barnes for several years now and have never had a doctor I felt care so much for my well being. You can tell he gets a lot of fulfillment out of helping people and enjoys what he does. As far as the office, when they changed buildings, the management of his practice did take a hit on this. It was difficult to schedule and get through on the phone, as well as get a call back after leaving a message. They also went through a few medical assistants who ended up leaving. But I think he's been able to attain some stability on the clinic side of things. I think when rating a doctor, it's important to understand they can only do so much, while their staff and assistants do the other half. To me, this would be a separate rating. He's a phenomenal doctor. In any case. it seems more stabilized there now in my opinion.

People need to realize that this is a review for the doctor and not the front office workers or scheduling dept. Dr. Barnes was nothing but kind, considerate, and patient with me. He really cares about helping people you can tell. Don’t believe the reviews, they aren’t even about him half the time.

I read the two reviews on here. I’m surprised because that has not been my experience with Dr. Barnes. I received prompt appointments abs calls back. The front office staff is friendly and helpful. I felt Dr. Barnes is interested in making me feel better and we are on the right track. Not sure what happened to the other two patients that left reviews but I would say it’s a fluke or a bogus review.

My girlfriend called to schedule a DR appt as I am looking for a primary. Heard great things about Dr. Barnes. Half way through the call my girlfriend put me on the phone with the receptionist since I had our health cards and she did not. I asked the receptionist about the co-pay and she said she needed my health card info. I told her I had the card number on me, and she told me she didn't have time to enter my card info, just bring the card with me and I would find out at the appt, or I could call the insurance company myself. I tried to make light of it by saying "I have my card and I just wanted to get an idea" and she responded in a rude voice "So you don't want me to book the appointment for you?" I didn't feel her curt tone was warranted, so I handed the phone back to my girlfriend and asked her to cancel. We booked with another Dr. w/ 5-star reviews whose receptionist was very professional, friendly, and took my insurance info.

was referred to Dr. Barnes at UNLV Health/rainbow office for foot surgery, had a good first appointment 1/26/23, went over what was wrong and what he was going to do with the surgery. said yes and we needed to wait for pre-authorization.....now fast fwd 4 weeks later and still haven't heard from him or office about it, nobody answers the phone no matter what option you pick and nobody returns calls after leavening multiple messages over 3 weeks. had already called insurance to see if anything was pending and they advised me there was nothing. so, after 4 weeks of waiting and they haven't even submitted anything yet. stopped into office and asked about my pend surgery and lady at front desk couldn't find anything and didn't know anything. gave me the typical excuse that doctor is on vacation and no other staff is here for him, she said they will have to call me back, LMAO told her sure they will, nobody answers the phone or returns calls. now here we are another week and half plus later and the doctor finally calls me back today 3/6/23 to say they have the preauthorization, told him no freaking way would I trust you now after 5 plus weeks of leaving me hanging, not returning calls. advised him it will never happen with him. just to make sure they aren't going to try and push some bogus bills I called my insurance company and had them check on the preauth and was told they still don't show anything so it's very clear Dr. Barnes was lying yet again. Dr. Barnes should have his medical license taken away and is clearly a FRAUD, he obviously doesn't care since he left me hanging and in pain for another 5 plus weeks. beyond pathetic treatment
