I made an appointment with Dr velasco due to being diagnosed with keratoconus. I was referred to another doctor who basically said it'll cost you $5,000 and we put these drops in your eyes and that's it. I started asking numerous questions of which none of them got direct answers. I left the office and was highly disappointed.. I contacted the doctor that recommended new eyes and told him how terribly disappointed I was.
My mother found Dr velasco on a reel. She immediately notified me. The best thing I did was set up the appointment.
The staff was amazing! They were all so kind. The doctor was beyond professional with some of the best equipment I have ever seen. Not only did she tell me I have mild keratoconus, she gave me great advice and I will follow up with her in another 6 months as required. She's not just a specialist she is an ophthalmologist anyone can go to for an eye exam. The office was clean and quaint. We have seen another eye doctor for the last 14 years. Although the doctor was very nice his staff were inconsiderate rude and condescending. We have been looking for another eye doctor and fortunately we have found Dr velasco @ ifocus.

The moment we walked into the office we were greeted kindly, professional and inviting. I apologize for not getting her first name, but this young lady did everything she could to help me with my insurance and explaining the doctor would get to me as soon as possible. Did not tell me well your early so it's going to be a while. Yes I was 20 minutes early and she was kind enough to not berate me for that. Instead she was kind and gentle. Always had a smile on her face.
The tech was professional. Did her job accordingly. The doctor was professional, explained everything that needed an explanation for myself. Scheduling was simple everything was made with ease. Even though I do not have the insurance that was needed for this particular office I will continue with my appointments due to making me feel at ease and their professionalism and knowledge that I appreciated.

Over the years, I have struggled with my vision. Since early childhood, I suffered from severe myopia that was only partially corrected with glasses and hard contact lenses. I was later diagnosed with keratoconus and ultimately had both corneas replaced. Over time, I also underwent cataract surgery and PRK.

Given this long and complicated history, achieving good vision felt increasingly unlikely—until I began working with Dr. Vivienne Velasco at iFocus Vision Center. Dr. Velasco fitted me with scleral contact lenses, despite the challenges of extensive corneal scarring and significant astigmatism. It took several careful and patient iterations to fine-tune the prescription, but she never gave up.

The final result has been nothing short of remarkable: near 20/20 vision. Even more impressive, the scleral lenses are far more comfortable than the hard contacts I wore for years.

At 85 years old, I can honestly say that I now have better vision than at any other time in my adult life. This outcome is entirely due to Dr. Velasco’s persistence, expertise, and genuine dedication to her patients. I am deeply grateful and recommend her without hesitation to anyone with complex vision issues.

This is my first visit to see Dr Vilasco
She fit me in on a moments notice.
When I arrived, I was greeted by two employees at the front, very polite (young lady and young man, ill remember there names after a visit or two).
Very nice office.
Onto the Dr.
She was so friendly, made me feel very comfortable, being as stressed as I was.
She took her time with me, answering all my concerns. Took a few tests, showing me the results on her computer.
Pretty cool!

I had a great experience at Ifocus Vision Center. The doctor took her time to fine-tune my prescription, even insisted on trying different contact lenses when the first one wasn't perfect. She was using the newest technology and refractors, which was important to me. I struggle with manual refractor machines. She was friendly and personable. The entire team was great. I highly recommend Ifocus Vision Center for their expertise and excellent care.

I have been going to Dr. Velasco's offices for about 10 years now and she's been nothing but the best. Always nice and inviting offices, staff, and gives you honest information about the health of your eye sight and her recommendations.

For three weeks my eye has been twitching, and felt like there was something in it, but I couldn’t find it. Doc walked into the room, looked in my eye, and said “I found it!” There was an EYELASH that was growing BACKWARD into my EYEBALL. She grabbed some terrifyingly pointy tweezers, skillfully and painlessly plucked it out, washed my eyeball, and sent me on my way. Y’all. My eyeball isn’t twitching anymore and feels normal again. Someone buy this woman a cake.

I walked in today to make an appointment for an eye exam. I got lucky and they were available at that time to see me. The girls at the front desk / assistant were so kind. There was practically no wait time for anything. Very fast and efficient. The doctor was so kind and patient & understood my anxiety. She tried her best to get my vision as clear as possible with my astigmatism. I’ve never met another doctor as thorough as her. Annnnd down to picking out my eyewear. The optician was amazing, friendly & picking out glasses was a good time. :) I will be a forever patient here!
